The above passage presents a huge truth which should be an encouragement to every Christian. You see, prior to his deathly ill baby, David spent seven days laying face-down on the floor, without food, pleading with God to spare the boy’s life.

.

But on the seventh day, the child died…2Sa 12:21  Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.
2Sa 12:22  And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
2Sa 12:23  But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

So, what is the great lesson here?

.

The lesson here is, that while we are surrounded by the living, this must the time to be fasting and praying for them. Because, after they die, there is no more we can do for them! Their eternal destiny has been sealed.

.

Oh yes, we can’t help but feel sorrow for those who have died, especially for loved ones who die unsaved. Even David sorrowed and wept for his dead son, Absalom…O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son! 2nd Samuel 18:32, 33 (condensed)

.

But while the world mourns for their dead family members, the Christian must not wait, but mourn and fast and pray while there is hope!

.

Listen to David, concerning his enemies…”Psa 35:13  But as for me, when they (David’s enemies) were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
Psa 35:14  I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.”

Now if this is how David prayed for both his family, but likewise even for his enemies, we strive to emulate David in our own lives!

.

Well, the very Good News is, that there is no better time to begin to imitate David’s love for others!

Well, they weren’t too far off. Actually, God created it to appear like a soldier. This is because all nature presents aspects of the Gospel.

Listen… “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.” Psalm 19:1.

And so now we are amazed to discover that beyond the awesome grandeur of the starry night-heavens, God has actually written the Love of God upon the heavenly scroll!

7 MAJOR STARS OF ORION…

Orion Constellation can best be seen all winter (but even in August in the pre-dawn hours of morning in eastern skies) traveling east to west through the night, in mid-sky. To find the seven major stars of Orion (one star on each shoulder and one star on each foot, plus the three stars which make his belt), you can locate on just about any clear night regardless of the blackness of the night. To find Orion’s other stars, you need more star-visibility…a darker, moonless night, and possibly away from city lights.

A SHORT “ARMOR OF GOD” STORY

“OH SINNER MAN, WHERE YA GONNA RUN TO?”  

 .                   

About 40 years ago (being a brand new convert from atheism), I was going through terrible satanic attacks. I was…uh…a Christian, but only because Satan had burst my ‘atheism-bubble’, by revealing himself  to me. But I wouldn’t really call myself a ‘true worshipper’ yet. Maybe I could just be labeled as… an ‘atheist-who-just-met-the-Devil’. And it seemed that my Judgment Day was now at hand. The Devil was sending me through terrors beyond belief. Oh yeah, I was praying for help. But it was like, God was not listening. Heaven was like brass (see Deuteronomy 28:23). During these months my theme song could easily have been that old tune…”Oh Sinner Man”. You know the song… “Oh sinner man where ya gonna run to …all on that day.”  (Click this link to hear)

This following Bible verse seems to fit what I was going through…  “Then shall they call upon Me (God), but I will not answer; they shall seek Me early, but they shall not find Me:  For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD” Proverbs 1:28,29

But the Devil was laying some “pretty heavy stuff” on me, during those years. I didn’t know the Bible hardly at all. I was trying to be a Christian, but it just wasn’t working. And because I didn’t know the Bible, the Devil could tell me just about any crazy story he wanted to. I was no match for him. So the thought came to me that I was infected with Satan. And not doubt Satan is contagious! OK, OK, I know this was a stupid thing to think. But I didn’t know anything about the Bible. But really, when you think about it, a person who has no protection from Satan…with out God’s protection. He or she is liable to do anything the Devil wishes, if God permits.

 .         
 
As I was driving up to Portland  on Interstate 5 something caught my attention. An old barn…sitting off to the west of the freeway…in a field…just south of Salem…standing there as a monument to days-gone-by. And as I drove by, I was surprised to see a Bible concept inscribed on its old weathered wooden walls. Someone had painted the following sentence on the side of that old relic… “SOLDIERS OF THE CROSS…ARMOR UP…THE TIME IS AT HAND!”

These words made a strong impact on me, at that moment. “Profound statement!”, I thought to myself. “Whoever painted those words must also be aware that Judgment Day is at hand.”

But now, I had a little hope. “That writing on that old barn just might be the answer to my problems.” I might have thought… “put on the armor of God. Very interesting concept. Hmmm.”

“FIERY ARROWS FROM THE WICKED ONE”

Ephesians 6 …

Sometime later, my new wife, Becky, and I were visiting relatives in the Bay area. (The satanic attacks had subsided for a year or so). But now, Satan had once again renewed his warfare against me. And I was going through a lot of personal spiritual attacks. I was so new to Christianity, and didn’t know how to combat all the fierce attacks. All the doubts. All the condemnation…                
 
 .

The fears Satan put in my mind! Desperate! “The king of Babylon (Satan) has devoured me, he has crushed me, he has made me an empty vessel, he has swallowed me up like a dragon, he has filled his belly with my delicates, he has cast me out.” Jeremiah 51:34

“You’re not praying enough!” (said the Devil)                
 
“You’re a glutton!”                
 
“You’re not like Jesus!”               
 
“You’re gonna lose your salvation! 

  .            
 
 “You’re this!” “You didn’t do that!”  Like flaming arrows or dropping missiles, the Devil was hailing accusations down on me. And what made it so effective, was that his accusations were valid criticisms. I mean, the Devil doesn’t have to make these things up. I really wasn’t Christ-like. I didn’t pray like Jesus, etc… 

 .                        
 
This was overwhelming. I  had no shelter from this barrage of mental attacks. No relief!           
 .

“A WALK IN THE PARK (but no picnic!)”

Anyway, I remember, that when down there (the Bay Area) visiting, I decided to go for a walk, one day, to a nearby park to pray and read my Bible. And it was a nice sunny California day. (But not for me, because of all these satanic attacks).

.                            
 
Anyway, while reading, I came across Ephesians Chapter 6, where it commands Believers to put on the ‘whole armor of God’. 

 .                         
 
But the part that really made sense, was where the next words continued… “that you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the Devil.” 

  .                         
 
“Dear Lord! That’s my problem!” (I must have thought). “Fiery darts! That’s exactly how Satan’s attacks feel! Like someone’s shooting fiery darts into my soul!” 

 .           
            

And so, this concept of ‘putting on the armor of God’ came back to me, from that experience I had a few years earlier, while passing that old barn. 

  .                    
 
“How do I put on this armor, Lord?”  I didn’t know. “I want to put it on right away! Do I put it on by just believing by faith?  Does it take time? Or do I put it on at once?”  These were the kind of thoughts running through my mind, as I sat on a picnic bench.

COOL WATER IN A DRY THIRSTY LAND…

 Looking back on this experience, it’s hard to imagine all this confusion. But going through this kind of satanic assault, I felt crushed by the weight of the heavy persecution. So, reading  passages as Ephesians 6, you just drink it in! Imagine yourself walking through, say, Death Valley, in 117 degree heat. And just before you collapse, you look down and see an ice-cold glass of water. Imagine how wonderful that would be to drink that ice-cold water! Well, that’s how the Word of God was to me during these days. During these days of persecution… 

 .

The reality of the spiritual battle I was going through, in captured in the following verse which really says it all…“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12 

.

And believe me, there is nothing like satanic persecution to get a person reading their Bible! Especially when he was talking directly to me (in my mind)!

 “My soul thirsts for Thee (God), my flesh longs for Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.” Psalm 63:1

“As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news (the Gospel) from a far country (Heaven).”  Proverbs 25:25

“PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD”…

 I didn’t understand all that Ephesians 6 was talking about. “What does it mean to put on ‘the breast plate of righteousness'”? This was very puzzling to me… “How does a person just put something like that on?” This was a concept above my comprehension.

 .             
 
“And how does a person ‘put on the helmet of salvation'”, I thought to myself… “especially while Satan is condemning and accusing every moment?”

 .              
 
And how do you put on the shoes, ‘with the gospel of peace’? I couldn’t understand these concepts. I was too new in the faith.

 .             
 
ONE CONCEPT THAT DID MAKE SENSE… But there was one thing I could understand. I knew what it meant to take the “sword of the spirit, which is the word of God”. Now that I got! Read the Bible! That’s a simple concept! Yeah! 

 .            
 
Well this was possibly the event that began my Bible sojourn. Reading God’s Word! I determined that I would saturate my mind with Scriptures. That’s what I would do! After all, I loved to read it anyway. So maybe by reading it and knowing it, I could know the Bible well enough to overcome all these attacks by Satan. Maybe that’s the key to finding personal victory. “Study, study, study!” Just completely fill my mind with knowledge…of His words!  

 .       
 
Well, this began a long love affair with the Word of God! And by studying the Bible for myself, I came to understand what it meant to ‘put on the breastplate of righteousness’. And by hiding the ‘Word in my heart’ (Psalm 119:11), I began to comprehend what it meant to ‘put on the helmet of salvation’.  To put on the ‘preparation of the gospel of peace’ … ‘the shield of faith’. (I already knew well what the fiery darts of the devil meant) But these other truths didn’t come all at once.       

 .

The sketch above is Orion the Soldier and the Dragon of Revelation 12. They begin to rise in the east in the fall and gradually move westward, finally sinking in the west in the spring. Find Orion first. Look for his 3-star belt. Then find the 4 bright stars of his shoulders and feet. Then locate the Dragon’s mouth (AKA Hyades).

“THY WORD HAVE I HID IN MY HEART”

(Ps. 119:11)…

So, it became my mission to know everything about the Bible. I read the Bible and every spiritual book related, that I felt was reliable. I found little Gideon pocket Bibles at the thrift shop, that I could carry in my back pocket. Then whenever I had a spare moment, I could commit a verse to memory. I also carried a notebook in which to write a passage from a spiritual book. Then at work, whenever I had a moment to spare, I would look at the notebook, and try to memorize the passage. The Lord seemed to have blessed my memory skills, because prior to this, I couldn’t memorize well at all. Through these times, it seemed that looking at the Bible was like cool refreshing water in a dry and thirsty land. Every time I opened my Bible or related books, it was like cool refreshing water. The Devil was attacking me on a daily basis. The Bible was my “safe harbor”. It was my “hiding place”  (“Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in Thy Word.” Psalm 119:114)

40 YEARS LATER…

By the grace of God, the love for the Bible remains. Oh yeah, it’s been a ‘long and winding road’ (as the old song goes).  There’s been some valleys, and a deep ditch or two, along the way.

 .         
 
 The Bible commands us to meditate ‘day and night’ on God’s word (Psalm 1 & Psalm 119:97).  And whether or not a person is bombarded with Satan’s ‘fiery bullets’, or  merely being drowned in an ocean of worldliness, he must ‘continue in My Word’  John 8:28. That’s our protection from the Devil. That’s our armor. That’s our shield. It’s our helmet too. It’s our Gospel shoes. It’s the life-blood every true worshipper of God. The Word of God. “Sharper than any two-edged sword.” (Hebrews 4)

A HEAVENLY HOBBY

The above verse is a plea from God to look up at the Heavens and behold Who has created these things.

In this busy work-a-day world, there are many very interesting things which can occupy one’s time and energy: hobbies, and careers, and entertainments and worries, and habits, to name just a few.

But as the child of God devotes his or her life to God, there should be a jealous guarding of one’s own heart… “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23.

The Christian wants nothing to get in the way of running that Christian Race.

“AND WHEN YE SEE THESE THINGS…

LOOK UP, LIFT UP YOUR HEAD”

But having said this, there is one hobby which every ‘Noble Berean’ may take up, which only compliments the pursuit of the heavenly Prize.

Yes, Signs Of Heaven becomes a wonderfully rewarding hobby which, unlike many less meaningful hobbies, pays off with rich, heavenly rewards. Everlasting rewards!

And unlike the person in this photo with equipment, all you need is fairly good vision, and a dark, starry night.

And once a person really gets to know these heavenly messengers, it will become very apparent that the message connected with these signs is truly a message to be heeded.

Thus will the Christian be able to share this message with others. And there are perhaps many nuances and hidden biblical truths to these signs which have yet to be discovered.

FIRST FIND ORION & 7 STARS

.

The very first step in finding these many constellations, should be to find the two main constellations: Orion, and the 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper).

.

These two constellations represent Christ (Orion), and His Church (7 Stars).

.

And just as these are the easiest constellations to find, so too, the first place to begin studying the Bible is the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).

.

These four books present Christ and His Church, when He walked the earth, just as Orion and the 7 Stars represent Christ and His Church, as seen up in the heavens.

.

Then, once you are comfortable finding these two constellations, you can begin to locate the next closest constellations, and so on.

.

ANOTHER HEAVENLY HOBBY: PRAYER-WALKS

Now if you’re fortunate enough to be able to go on nightly walks, and you live in an area where you can safely view the stars, here is another Heavenly Hobby which Signs Of Heaven endorses…

Why not combine star-watching with prayer, as you walk? What a great way to draw closer to God!

.

It cannot be over-stressed, just how wonderful it is to walk under the dark canopy of Heaven, while lifting up one’s heart to our Heavenly Father! There is a closeness to God that cannot be described with words!

(And even if you cannot safely do this, you can always do such prayer-walks in the daytime, in a safe place, such as a mall, which is every bit as effective, prayer-wise.

And for those who are in confinement, one can view these starry signs on the Internet, or simply listen to Scripture on audio.

Either way, all such may enjoy God’s richest blessings at this very time in which God is pouring out all Heaven’s treasures upon anyone willing to forsake all, and follow Jesus!)

THRICE-DAILY PRAYERS

.

Now of course, the Bible commands us to, “pray without ceasing“. The Christian is to constantly talk with our Heavenly Father throughout the day.

.

But the Bible also holds up the godly life of Daniel, who, when captive in Babylon, still set aside three times daily, in which he knelt for special prayer.

.

And furthermore the Bible also says… “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.” Psalm 55:17.

.

Even those who are bed-fast or in a prison cell can begin to imitate Daniel in this way. And if one is fortunate to be able to walk, then this thrice-daily prayer regimen can be combined with three walks daily and even nightly.

“The god of this world”, Satan, has used the television, Internet, radio, and the printed page, in such a way, as to normalize sin in the hearts and minds of the public as well as those Christians who allow ourselves to watch and listen to these various media.

Yes, as we watch various sins being committed over and over again, day-after-day, week-after-week, etc…, sin loses its sting, and our consciences (and our children’s consciences) become defiled and blunted, so that sin no longer appears so evil.

This above verse is extremely important to our spiritual well-being!

And these inventions and their ability to bombard us with sin, sin, sin, is the essence of the “Image of the Beast”, and how it becomes transplanted into our hearts and minds: it is the image and character of Satan, which becomes indelibly inscribed upon the tables of our hearts!

And so, He must drive out our trust and our love for this evil world of sin, with all its earthy pleasures and proud, ambitious pursuits…“If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (or her).” (read 1st John 2:15-17).

Thus, God begins a work in many souls, to drive out that innate earthly love. This is why God allows suffering, sickness, and many sorrows to come upon us, even from birth to the grave.

And while it grieves the Lord greatly, to behold suffering, He knows that in the end, these things will purify our hearts, even as precious gold is purified!

Unfortunately for the science community, their credibility has been greatly diminished in those areas in which they contradict the Bible!

And why have they lost their credibility in these contradicting areas?

Simple. It has become apparent to true Bible-believers that the so-called Theory of Evolution is a bad hoax, being thrust upon this unbelieving world by misguided professors of this erroneous so-called science.

Beside all the past frauds perpetrated in the name of Evolution, the ever-mounting evidence against this faulty theory only further confirms the validity and superiority of Scripture.

And so, because evolutionary science is so blatantly wrong concerning the origin of man, it then casts a dark shadow over the other false notions: notions such as homosexuality and mental illness being the result of abhorrent genes in certain humans.

The bottom line is, whenever humans attempt to discredit the Bible by such false sciences as these three, the Bible ultimately and eventually wins out every time. Oh yes, scientists have made many conclusions over the past decades. But the fact is, there has never been the discovery of any hard evidence which, by itself, contradicts the Bible account! Only man’s opinions on these discoveries disagree with the Bible. And only their faulty conclusions dispute God’s infallible Word!

And now that we have finally reached that great and fearful day of God’s Judgment, it is quite possible that those of us who thought that we were better than others just might find ourselves caught in a dramatic role-reversal!

Yes, when the persecution of God’s faithful remnant ceased after the Dark Ages, Satan instead began to embrace the Church, causing us to lay down our spiritual armor and “join in the fun with our newly-acquired ‘friend’, the world”!

But these “kisses of an enemy” were merely a deceitful trap to render God’s Church ineffectual by our earthly-minded pursuit of the things of this seemingly friendly world. (see Proverbs 27:6)

And so, O trembling child of faith, don’t be surprised when the world just keeps getting worse and worse!

Sin is a bottomless pit!

And, it appears that we are soon going to finally witness sin’s true depths, just prior to Christ’s Return, when He rescues us from all this soon-coming madness!

VILLAINS AND HEROES

Some decades ago, a publicly disgraced and very unpopular world statesman, being interviewed, made the statement that “some leaders are born to be villains while others are destined to be heroes in the public’s eyes”.

Certainly “the god of this world” has turned politics into a high-pitched drama, using various political figures as players, casting them as either “villains” or “heroes”.

.

And to what ends does this master-deceiver hope to achieve by such sophistry?

.

Well, by simply glancing at the ongoing daily political wars, it’s not hard to understand that Satan is working behind the scenes, pulling the strings in such a manner, as to create great political intrigue, thus turning politics into a current-day “spectator sport”. Millions have now become daily devotees to various radio and television talk shows, waiting to hear each new day’s developments.

And this ongoing drama has its “good guys” and “bad guys”, thus ratcheting up either the favor or disdain for these “actors”.

.

Thus, the Enemy of Souls makes gains on two fronts: via the modern media, he has now created a new time-consuming pastime, which intrigues and ensnares multitudes of viewers; and this new snare only ratchets up the anger and rage in the hearts of viewers who willingly witness all the dirty-dealing injustices constantly being committed.

The delusion which is just now sweeping over the world, will sweep over anyone who does not truly turn to the Lord for Salvation! And so, if ever there was a time to cry out to the Lord for true Salvation and deliverance, it is now!

THE MAN OF SIN

Psa 109:2  For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

Psa 109:6  Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

Now if we stopped right here we might get the idea that this passage concerns merely Judas, or even prophesy’s of the coming Antichrist, a single individual. After all, it says in this above passage…Psa 109:6  Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. Yes, Judas was a picture of Antichrist.

But if we read on, we discover this cursed individual is actually a portrait of the true Antichrist…Psa 109:20  Psa 109:6  Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.
Psa 109:7  When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

A father received a tearful phone call from his daughter, concerning some struggles she was currently suffering through.

.

And as the father listened, he realized that her problem was one that he had never personally dealt with. And at first he couldn’t appreciate how such seemingly minor issues could be causing her so much grief and despair.

.

And so, not wanting to merely give her some typical fatherly one-liner, thinking he could solve her problems in 60 seconds or less, he just listened.  

.

And the more he listened, the more he realized that her problem was in an area that he never personally had in his own life. It just was not an area of life in which he had ever personally struggled with, nor even thought to be important.

.

But his distraught daughter was indeed struggling in this area. And at first, he didn’t really know what to say to her.

.

But after some time, the fog began to clear away, as he at last realized the common denominator between her struggles and his own very different personal struggles.

.

And so, the father finally assured his daughter that her battles were not with people, as she thought, but were actually with unseen spirits who were robbing her of her peace and contentment.

.

And then he told her that even though her battle was different from his, the very same Devil was causing them!

.

“After all”, the father continued, “Aren’t we all just trying to be happy? And isn’t it true that the entire world is full of people who, like us, are merely striving to be happy, and to find peace and contentment?”

.

Now, seeing that he had his daughter’s full attention, the father continued, “But even though humanity’s striving for happiness is a universal endeavor, nevertheless, this unbelieving world is striving for that peace and happiness in many different ways. Some think that such peace is found in financial independence. Others seek for happiness by pursuing fleshly pleasures and carnal delights. Still others might go after the proud attainments of life, while many others may seek after new thrills and adventures. And then there are the vast multitudes who immerse themselves in the various forms of entertainment now available by means of this cornucopian super-society.”

“But the one common denominator, is that we’re all seeking to be happy, to be peace-filled and content.”

.

Well, the father assured his daughter that, “The Bible offers the human race that one-and-only-one true way to find such happiness, joy and peace!”

.

And for example, Isaiah 26:3 says…“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee (Jesus). Because he trusteth in Thee” Isaiah 26:3

.

Yes, here is the one true formula for a life of peace and joy and contentment:to keep our minds stayed upon Jesus, trusting in His precious promises!

.

Jesus says basically the same thing as Isaiah, only in slightly different words…Mat 11:28  Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

.

Here is the answer to all the problems in the world! If the people of this planet would only begin to seek after a knowledge of Jesus Christ, the world would eventually find the answer to their problems, each and every one! True happiness would thus be achieved, and by none other ways!

.

And so, dear Reader, the bottom line is just this. Yes, “the god of this world”, Lucifer, may convince us that happiness must be attained by means of the various selfish ways that this world-system offers. And in these various ways, he misdirects our footsteps. But though it seems as if we are each fighting our own personal war on many different battle fronts, it nevertheless is the same war, and we all have the same goal for victory: love, joy and peace.

And both this father and his daughter may seemingly be struggling in different ways, the answer to his problems is the very same answer to her different problems as well: to look away from this world of sin and selfishness, and look up to the ways of Heaven, and to Heaven’s Jesus!

.

This is the answer to their problems.

.

And this is the answer to both your problems and my problems as well!

SIGN IN HEAVEN

Well, If you look up and lift up your head, you just might see a wonderful sign, which God spoke about in Revelation 12. It is a constellation of a woman. The ancients only saw it as a great bear. It is commonly known as Ursa Major . It is also known as the 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper), but with the addition of various other stars.

But with the eye of faith, it actually appears as the Revelation 12 Woman. You see, God has placed in the heavens, the symbol of His bride, the Church-Faithful.

.

Listen… “And there appeared a great wonder (sign) in heaven; a woman…And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered…And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place… from the face of the serpent. Revelation 12:1, 2, 14.

TRAVAILING IN SUMMER, FLEEING IN WINTER

In the summer night-sky, Just as this passage

 says, she appears as the woman-in-travail. But in the winter, she flips upside-down, to appear as the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12, just as this passage states. But whether this Virtuous Woman is in labor pains, or fleeing to the mountains, she is the heavenly icon of God’s bride, His Church.

And now we need to explore how this fleeing woman in the heavens relates to us, the Church. Just like this fleeing woman, we too, need to flee from the wrath to come. But how do we flee? And where do we flee to? Well just read this article and you will find out exactly what the Bible has to say about all this.

There is a fierce battle going on right now in America for the soul of this nation. The forces of atheism/socialism/communism are fighting against the forces of christianism/republicism/capitalism/.

Of course, those who are familiar with this website realize that these two political entities are actually the 6th and 7th Head of the Antichrist Beast of Revelation 13 (read: Part 51: “Coming Out Of An Atheistic World!”)

To most people, this present world seems bright and life seems good, to a great extent.

.

In other words, if a Christian says to an unbeliever, “You don’t have to live for, nor love this dark world of sin, because there’s a better and brighter world to come!”, that person probably doesn’t know what that Christian is talking about.

.

The problem is, that unsaved person has lived his or her entire life in this world of sin and selfishness, and has become jaded to the evil which surrounds us, and oozes out of every pore and crevice of this world of selfish lusts and desires!

.

And let’s face reality here! The fact is, our selfish lives seem normal to us! We don’t know anything else! We’ve never lived in any other world but this one. And we wake up every morning, and the sun is brightly shining, we’re refreshed from a good night’s sleep, looking forward to the prospects of the new day before us!

.

And frankly, when someone tells us that there’s a better world to come, it makes us nervous at the thought of giving up all our self-absorbed ways. We think about the selfless life of Jesus, and we think, “Man, I really don’t want to become like Him!”

.

But there’s another reason why this world seems perfectly acceptable to us.

.

And that reason is that we’ve are all been held captive under the delusive power of the spirit of antichrist, the worldly spirit of this present dark world-system…“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” Ephesians 2:2 

.

Yes, Satan, “the god of this world” enlightens our eyes with his antichrist spirit, so that we actually love our selfish lives in this world, and makes us actually nauseated at the very thought of living selflessly for Jesus! And even though this world is suffering the horrible consequences of sin and selfishness, Satan’s indwelling spirit causes us to be oblivious to all the sadness, sickness, and suffering of others!

.

Well, the Good News is, that God can give us a brand new Spirit of love, joy and peace, and contentment, beyond our wildest dreams. And when filled with that Spirit, we no longer live for, nor love this present, tragic world. Yes, this world will begin to appear dark, as our eyes begin to see the brightness of the everlasting world to come!.

It’s like that old song sings, “Turn your eyes upon Jesus! Look full in His wonderful face! And the things of this world will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace!”

Mystery Babylon, The Harlot Church! Part 2: “Everyone That Useth Proverbs”

Eze 16:44  Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.

From Genesis to Revelation, the theme of two women, one an adulterous woman, and the other, a virtuous woman, is interwoven into the warp and woof of the Scriptures. And as the Bible develops, so too this theme of the two woman likewise develops, until we discover that they each represent the two portions of the Church: the church-faithful, and the church-apostate.

Listen to Paul… “For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.” Galatians 4:22-26

In this above passage, God, through the hand of Paul, presents the basic concept of the Church actually being divided into two camps, the Church-Faithful and the Church-Apostate!

BABYLON NOW!

.

Now the subject of the apostate churches should always be handled delicately, since none of us can hold our head up high, in these last days! We don’t want to throw rocks at an organization which was the anointed of God, if at all possible. And anyway, we’ve all sinned, and have all fallen short of the glory of God, haven’t we?

.

But having said this, there comes a time when the sins of Babylon must be pointed out, because, there is a lot of confusion about just what is modern-day Babylon.

.

Yes, Satan, who comes as an angel of light, has transformed his ministers into so-called ministers of righteousness, as is revealed in 2nd Corinthians 11:14, 15. And so, far too many pulpits have become under the control of Satan. After all, where else would Satan’s “ministers of righteousness” be, except behind the pulpits of churches?

SATAN THE KING OF SPIRITUAL BABYLON

But as we explore these biblical issues, the question must be asked, “Why would we ever get the idea that Satan is the King of Babylon?”

Listen… “That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!…he that ruled the nations…How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:” Isaiah 14:4, 12, 13

Now this above passage really ties Lucifer to Babylon, “the golden city”. And this passage apparently names the King of Babylon in this way… “The King of Babylon…O, Lucifer, son of the morning”.

HARLOT RIDING THE BEAST

Therefore, it is now apparent that Satan’s kingdom is Babylon.

.

But there is a religious quarter within the city walls of Babylon. And this did not escape the attention of the Protestant Reformation! After all, God’s people were persecuted by the apostate churches of Europe for many centuries.

.

And so it is no wonder that they drew pictures of the Babylon Harlot, as she rode the Antichrist Beast of Revelation, chapters 13 & 17!

SPIRITUAL BABYLON

Now if we turn to Revelation, Chapter 18, this harlot, Mystery Babylon is described as a city who is drunken with the blood of the saints of God. And it is common knowledge that the apostate churches of Europe carried out an ongoing warfare against the Bible and against those who loved the Bible, for many long centuries.

The Apostle, Peter made reference to Babylon, in one of his epistles… “The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you;” 1st Peter 5:13.

Of course, literal Babylon no longer existed at the time of Peter’s epistle. So Peter was referring to Satan’s kingdom as Babylon.

JEZEBEL RETURNS

In John’s letters to the 7 churches of Asia, he mentioned Jezebel… “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.” Revelation 2:20

.

Now at the time of these letters, Jezebel had been dead for many long centuries. Therefore Christ was using Jezebel as a symbol of the spiritual adultery which was already beginning to creep into the churches in the Apostle, John’s day!

But while God doesn’t come right out and call the apostate churches Babylon, He does about everything short of calling them, “Babylon the Mystery Harlot”!

It is one of the great purposes of “the god of this world”, the Devil, to  keep churchgoers from understanding the spiritual nature of the Bible. But the fact is, the Bible is a spiritual book. As a matter of fact, there is a false doctrine which Satan has whispered in the ears of theologians that those who believe that the true Israel is a spiritual Israel made up of both Jews and gentiles, and has even given them a derogatory tag known as replacement theology. And part of that new unbiblical name and doctrine says that all those who believed that the church made up of both Jews and gentiles actually hate the nation of Israel.

But this devotional is dedicated to refuting that idea. Nothing could be further from the truth! As a matter of fact every true believer should have a great love for the Jewish race! And let’s face it, perhaps as much as 50% of the world or more could have some Jewish blood in their physical makeup. (After all, King Solomon alone, probably had thousands of children via his thousand wives! And after his death, who knows how much his children and grandchildren interspersed themselves among the other nations! And he’s just one Jewish person! And so, it’s conceivable that many of the world’s inhabitants may have, at the very least, a tiny bit of Jewish blood!)

But just because a Christian does not believe the Bible never condones the idea of God beginning to work once again with the nation of Israel, does not mean spat that particular so-called “Replacement Theology” Christian does not love the Jewish people. Paul wished that he himself would be condemned if he could save his brethren Jews after the flesh (see Romans 9:3). And this should be the same stance that any Christian should also maintain.

Jesus said,  “destroy this Temple and…I will raise it up.” John 2:19

Jesus was not talking about a physical Temple, but he was speaking of the Temple of His body. And while today’s Bible teachers are mostly directing their sheep to the idea that a physical, brick-n-mortar Temple will be rebuilt and sacrifices of animals will be resumed, the fact is, this will never happen

.

But rather, the Bible reveals that Christ’s body, the church, along with the godhead will be the true Temple which will go on forever. But if Satan can convince God’s people that the book of Revelation concerns only literal Jews, then he has successfully cut off the true understanding of the book of Revelation.

And so, in order to further demonize the believers who see the church as spiritual Israel, made up of both Jews and gentiles, the God of this world causes the church world to point the accusing finger at us, saying that we hate the Jews.

But God is the searcher of hearts and He knows who actually loves Him, and He knows who it is who desires, truly desires the Salvation of every Jew who is a member of, “Israel-after-the-flesh”! (1st Corinthians 10:18)

Now in this current ERA of the internet and with websites such as YouTube, there has arisen a phenomenon in which Street preachers can film themselves and gain a much greater and gain a much greater audience.

One problem with this is that in order to gain a big following on YouTube, just about requires the Street preacher to be rather provocative in his speech.

Of course, the Bible also had provocative speakers, such as John the Baptist, Paul the apostle, and even Jesus Christ himself.

And so being provocative is not necessarily a bad thing if it is done in love and patience. However the apostle, Paul, revealed that God is happy with a gospel being preached w even from wrong motels motives. And critics of these Street preachers will often point out some erroneous doctrines put forth by the Street preachersin order to condemn what they are doing.

But the fact is, b Street preachers are getting about the same reaction that the New testament preachers got in the early church. Satan doesn’t won the gospel preached!

But the really sad thing is, where are all the other Christians out there who do not get out and preach the gospel?

Even this website has criticized those who stand in front of abortion clinics saying that they are trying to correct people’s behavior instead of preaching the gospel of salvation. But when one watches on YouTube it is evident that these protesters are indeed preaching the gospel of salvation. And so it’s easy to criticize them, but at least they’re out there doing what they feel the Lord wants him to do!

It would seem better to go out and preach the gospel even with some errors,  than to merely sit at home doing nothing. Oh yes we can wrestle with God in prayer that he will bless those Street preachers and that would be a good thing to do and maybe many Christians are doing just that.

For a long time now it seems as if Satan has pretty much kept the Christian community from persecution by the public. The reason for this is probably because he has Christians locked up by ou our worldly lusts. And we are too busy to be doing the work that God has commissioned us to do.

And maybe if we are too shy to get out with a bullhorn and shout the gospel to the world passing by, we could get a nice Bible tract and handed out or leave it in strategic places. We certainly cannot depend on the internet in the future, since Satan is determined to silence the true gospel on that medium.

Well, the good news is that it is still the day of salvation, and every true believer should pray for strength and Grace to get the true gospel out by any means possible!
