“Why do politicians allow criminals to go unpunished, when they know that the citizenry hates to see such soft-on-crime policies result in terrific spikes in crime?”

This was the question which a mystified TV talk-show host asked the other hosts, as he concluded by saying…“After all, this cannot be a winning agenda for these politicians!”

WHY, WHY, WHY???

Well, similar questions could also be asked!

“Why do governors let convicted criminals walk free from prison only to return to the streets to continue their crime sprees?”

“Why do some adults bring their young children into barrooms to watch and even participate in Drag Shows where lewdly-attired grown-ups engage in extremely sexualized behavior, without being arrested?”

“Why are innocent young children being given harmful drugs and mutilating surgeries to attempt to change their gender, also, without any push-back or retribution?”

“Why is the government dishing out billions in “free money” to the citizenry instead of promoting job-creation?

.

“And why is the government giving away trillions of dollars to whoever they please, knowing that by so-doing, they are ruining the economy?!”

“And why do politicians encourage multitudes of non-citizens to flood over the national border?!”

Well, these are just a few puzzling questions, which many cannot answer. After all, these deeds by politicians cannot possibly garner a majority of votes at election time, can they?

Of course, some will say…“these atrocities are being covered up by the corrupt national media!”

.

Or they might also claim…“these politicians are facilitating election fraud, so as to skew elections in their favor!”

.

Or they might even surmise…“The media goliaths have brainwashed the masses with their evil ideologies!”

But is there an even greater reason why all this evil is occurring?

.

Well, let’s briefly explore this extremely puzzling question.

BIBLE PROPHECY PREDICTED THIS!

.

The Book of Revelation speaks of a beast which is identified in Chapters 16, 19, and 20, as “The False Prophet”.

.

Now, contrary to popular opinion, this false Prophet is not merely one single individual, but represents Satan’s modus-operandi in these last centuries.

.

THE 1ST BEAST

.

So, this False Prophet antichrist spirit is the 2nd Beast of Revelation 13.

.

But just what or who is that 1st Beast of Revelation 13?

.

Well, Satan originally came as the 1st Beast of Revelation 13 during the Dark Ages (picture left), persecuting and killing all those who clung to their Bibles in the face of the great apostate Church of Rome, which used the civil governments as their enforcers, torturers, and henchmen.

THE 2ND BEAST

.

But after this 1st beast received his deadly wound by a sword (the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God: Ephesians 6:13, 14), which was the printing press and all the Bibles it produced, Satan altered his modus-operandi, establishing a new and improved Beast.

.

The new beast, the False Prophet, was actually Satan’s antichrist spirit working in and through his vast unseen armies to deceive the world and cause them to worship the 1st beast, which is ultimately the image of Satan and his kingdom, this antichrist world-system.

THE FALSE PROPHET’S TWO HORNS: MERCY & JUSTICE

.

But before we get into some very tall weeds, let’s back out and focus on just one of this beast’s two horns. Yes, the Bible reveals that this second beast has two horns like a lamb. And of course, the Lamb of God, Jesus has two horns of power, Mercy and Truth. And our focus today is on the mercy horn of this False Prophet. And as we look out upon the political landscape we can readily see a political entity which claims to be the arbiters and defenders of mercy and compassion.

But unlike Jesus, who is the essence of true mercy and compassion, this false prophet beast is a terrible counterfeit of true mercy and compassion!

.

MISGUIDED MERCY IS OFTEN HYPOCRITICAL

.

For instance, while this False Prophet is so concerned about saving endangered animal species, he has absolutely no problem with murdering unborn babies in the sacred sanctuary and supposed safe-haven of their mother’s womb!

.

And furthermore, because this False Prophet Beast is so “merciful” to mothers who need abortions, the innocent little developing children are heartlessly and ruthlessly sucked out and cast into dumpsters, never to be seen again!

TRAMPLING ON CHRISTIAN’S BELIEFS

.

And while this False Prophet is so tender and merciful towards the certain politically protected sexual groups, it has no problem with trampling on the rights of Christians who own businesses and desire to maintain their biblical viewpoints. Yes, while standing up for the rights of one group, this False Prophet has no problem with destroying the rights and even the livelihood of another group.

TRAMPLING ON FREEDOM OF SPEECH

.

And while this same “merciful” False Prophet is so concerned about freedom of speech, he has no difficulty in stamping out the speech of all those who do not uphold this beast’s conception of political correctness. And he makes laws which enforce so-called, “hate speech”, which on the surface seem rather good and perhaps even noble, but are quite often used to trample on the freedom of speech of Christians and others as well.

GENUINE MERCY AND COMPASSION ONLY IN JESUS

And so, these are just a few examples of how “mercy and compassion” have become a miserable counterfeit of true mercy and genuine compassion which only Jesus can share with His followers and disciples.

**And because these supposed “acts of compassion” results in oppression and destruction of the general populace, this left horn believes it is being merciful.**

And the Good News is that any man, woman, or child who desires to have true mercy and compassion can renounce and turn away from this two-beast, antichrist world-system, and begin to follow Jesus as leads His sheep up the gently ascending Highway to Heaven!

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” Rev. 12:3

In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not. But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars. The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7). And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10). So we have this 7 and 10 numbering. And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent. Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

Alexander Hislop, a minister of the Gospel back in the mid-nineteenth century, made a compelling case in his renowned (and much maligned & despised) **book, The Two Babylons. And that case was concerning the Church of Rome being an extension of ancient Babylon.**

.

**Hislop went step-by-step showing that the various customs, practices, doctrines, and holidays of that Romish religion were actually originated in ancient Babylon.**

SUNDAY SACREDNESS?

.

Now, today’s devotional is concerned with just one of those ancient doctrines, Sunday sacredness.

.

**Yes, in today’s Christian community, the doctrine of Sunday sacredness has received almost universal acceptance. This day was once known as The Sunday Sabbath.**

.

But gradually, since about the mid-twentieth Century, it began to be called The Lord’s Day. This is a reference to Revelation 1 opening remarks in which John the Revelator says…“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega…” Revelation 1:10, 11

.

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

.

Of course, nowhere in this passage from Revelation 1:10, 11, nor anywhere else in the Bible, does it ever call for a weekly worship on first day of the week. But Church theologians presumed that Sunday is The Lord’s Day, based on a number of other Bible passages.

.

And yet, the Bible says much to the contrary…“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24

.

Yes, today, whichever day of the week, “this is the day” happens to be, is The Lord’s Day! And every day of the week, “we will rejoice and be glad in it!” And every day is a good day to worship the Lord!

.

And while it’s true that the Lord was resurrected on the 1st day of the week, this does not give license for mere humans to concoct an entirely new Sabbath, nor to institute a new church-sanctified day of gathering to worship.

“Come unto Me…and ye shall find rest unto your souls!”

(see Matthew 11:28-30)

.

Now, is there anything wrong with worshiping on Sunday? Absolutely not! We can worship on any day of the week, but hopefully we’ll worship God on all seven days!

.

Truly, the New Testament “rest that remaineth unto the people of God”, which the Lord Jesus offers to all “weary and heavy laden” persons, is the true New Testament Sabbath! (Hebrews 4:9 & Matthew 11:28-30).

.

It is a 24/7/365 spiritual rest unto our souls!

.

NO LONGER CONSIDERED “A DAY OF REST”

.

But the sad fact is, that the New Testament Church has erroneously taken upon itself to turn the true 24/7/365 Sabbath spiritual rest in Christ and has dwindled it and devolved it back down to a one-day-per-week 24-hour sabbath, thus diminishing our cognizance of, and our responsibility to live totally immersed in God’s heavenly spiritual rest!

.

But if that’s not bad enough, the Church has now renamed it, “The Lord’s Day” and no longer “The Sabbath”! And this has resulted in churchgoers merely attending church for several hours, and then, for the most part, spending the rest of that day serving their earthly gods of sports, amusements, eating and drinking, social gatherings, working on their cars, and homes, and gardens, and recreational vehicles, engaging in various forms of recreation, etc…

.

**And so now, that 24-hour period can hardly even be considered “The Sabbath” anymore!**

.

Except for church attendance, it’s mostly just another day set aside to worship and serve this present idolatrous world.

This Woman of Revelation 12 is definitely fleeing to the mountains . The Devil Made Me Do It!

“Romance: The Real Thing or Just Another Devilish Delusion?”

Considering there is about a 50% divorce rate in today’s society, it’s highly inadvisable to ever make one’s spouse the object of supreme trust.

.

God and God alone, but never any human, deserves to be the object of our supreme trust.

.

“For all the gods of the nations are idols:”

Psalm 96:5

Now such a severe opening statement is perhaps a very critical, extreme, and unpleasant commentary on marriage.

.

But the fact is, we live in a world in which society has created an entire system of idolatry out of romance.

Movies glorify it!

Songs idolize it!

Television glamorizes it!

.

**Yes, this world has made romance into a world-of-idolatry via this high-tech society.**

.

TAKING ROMANCE MUCH TOO FAR!

.

Now of course, there is nothing wrong with getting married, and loving one’s spouse, even as Christ loves His bride, the Church.

By all means, strive for that kind of relationship!

.

But as with anything in this idol-worshiping world, it’s so easy to take something good and carry it to an extreme!

.

And that’s exactly what society has done with romance!

.

Just listen to a sampling of so many of today’s 4-minute songs on the radio…“I can’t make it without you”…

…or “I love you more than life itself!”…

…or “You are my everything!”…

…or “I’ll love you forever!”

.

To elevate another human to this kind of level, only displaces God from His rightful throne in a human’s heart!

.

And as already said, the divorce rate in this society is phenomenal!

.

Not to mention the death rate which forces so many lonely surviving spouses into despair, even to suicide!

.

ROMEO & JULIET?

.

And how about that Shakespearean play, Romeo & Juliet?!

.

These two young kids, both, committed suicide over their supposed loss of one-another!

.

If only they had put their supreme trust in the Lord Jesus to be their God, and not in each other!

They would never have allowed themselves to engage in such mutual idol-worship of each other, resulting in their self-inflicted deaths!

.

The problem is that this godless secular world is trying to fill that resulting void in our hearts with earthly replacements…

…music, drugs, television, sports…

…amusements, clubs, social gatherings…

…careers, eating and drinking, alcohol…

…houses, lands, pleasure resorts…

recreational vehicles, romance…

…and many other earthly pleasures.

.

The choices we can choose from, to replace God with, are seemingly endless!

.

SATAN’S COUNTERFEIT ‘LOVE’

.

And “the god of this world”, Satan, is constantly bombarding young people’s minds with overwhelming thoughts and lusts, so that they imagine themselves to be hopelessly lost in love with one-another!

.

But this kind of “love” is not genuine and can actually disappear just as quickly as it began!

.

“GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES!”

.

Well, there is a way to escape all this idolatry.

.

Yes, God has left the door of Salvation open, so that any and all who desire to find someone truly worthy of worship, can turn to Jesus.

.

And as that truth-seeking soul discovers more and more about Him, the more that he or she will realize His worthiness to be worshiped!

.

This revelation, of course, is only possible through the gift of God’s indwelling Spirit.

.

And once that child of God is firmly convinced of God’s greatness, that Believer can sing along with the Psalmist…

“For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised:

He is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the nations are idols:

but the LORD made the heavens.

Honour and majesty are before Him:

strength and beauty are in His sanctuary…

…at Thy (God’s) right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven;

and behold a great red dragon,

having seven heads and ten horns,

and seven crowns upon his heads.”

Revelation 12:3

**In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.**

**However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.**

.

But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.

.

**The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7).**

**And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10).**

Thus, we have this 7/10 numbering.

And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent.

Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

In New York City, a statue was recently set atop the public courthouse.

Can you believe it!?

The Bible reveals that the very chosen people of God were actually sacrificing their own children to the gods of the surrounding heathen nations, specifically, Molech, a god of the Ammonites!

How could they do such a thing, in the face of a God who warned them against such abominable practices!?

God repeatedly warned Israel, in no uncertain terms, that they should not imitate the surrounding heathen nations, who ruthlessly sacrificed their children to their heathen idols.

Okay, so this was the grievous error of the Old Testament people of God.

But are we Christians any less guilty of sacrificing our own children to idols?

Yes, God’s people have learned the ways of this heathenistic world.

Oh no, we don’t burn our children before some lifeless statue, as they did.

And yet, many Christians ruthlessly murder the fruit of their own womb, all for the sake of convenience.

“And, ye fathers…bring them (your children) up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord”

Ephesians 6:4

But today’s devotional explores a somewhat different form of child sacrifice, namely, the sacrifice of our children’s souls, as we go headlong after the selfish pleasures, and proud ambitious pursuits of this modern-day cornucopian super-society!

.

Yes, instead of raising our children in the simplicity of the Bible, we rather devote our time and energy to the many gods of this selfish, hedonistic world!

.

Television, Internet, clubs, extravagant vehicles, homes, gardens, banqueting, vacation resorts, proud, ambitious careers, time-consuming hobbies, and other similar pursuits: such are just a few examples of the modern-day gods whom we serve, thereby sacrificing our children’s Bible-based upbringing.

.

And so, we plop our kids down in front of the television or Internet, and allow Satan to groom them as he sees fit, while we go after these gods of selfishness!

.

Yes, we expend our time and energy in pursuit of today’s gods, thinking that an hour or two in church each week will somehow be sufficient in their training unto godliness, and will erase all those ungodly images and rhetoric they absorbed through a week of TV/Internet viewing.

.

“And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed”

Well, the Good News is, that today is still the day of Salvation! And we must use our remaining time to plead for mercy and grace to cast away our idols, even as it is written…

“In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver,

and his idols of gold,

which they made each one for himself to worship,

to the moles and to the bats;

To go into the clefts of the rocks,

and into the tops of the ragged rocks,

for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of His majesty,

when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth”

**Here we have our marching orders…to “flee from the wrath to come”, as we cast away our idols, and devote the rest of our lives to our own Salvation, and of all those around us!**

The denial of Jesus by Peter is perhaps one of the best known accounts in Scripture.

.

And truly, his full conversion which resulted from that devastating experience, presents a great truth which so many faithful church-goers do not fully appreciate.

PETER NEEDED TO BE FULLY CONVERTED

While Peter was a true disciple and follower of Jesus, he had not yet become fully converted. This is evidenced by Jesus’ remark to Peter’s impulsive and boastful claims of superiority and faithfulness.

Listen to Jesus…“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat…and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Luke 22:31, 32

.

Oh yes, Peter loved Jesus. But Peter also loved self. And from reading various Gospel accounts it becomes evident that Peter had a lot of foolish pride and self-confidence. And Peter had not yet entered into the battle over ‘self’. Thus, ‘the Old Man’ of ‘self’ kept showing up in Peter’s rash and boastful words.

Now, Peter’s discipleship and tribulation presents a huge concept, which God has illustrated in the “signs in the Sun…Moon, and…stars”. Luke 21:25

Yes, there are three sets of constellations, the spring/summer constellations, the fall constellations, and the winter constellations.

THE SPRING/SUMMER CONSTELLATIONS

The spring/summer constellations could easily be entitled, “The ‘Follow Me’ Constellations” They present a picture of Jesus (Arcturus) leading a group of constellations northward through the spring and summer months.

This is akin to Jesus leading His disciples as they learn more and more of His words and ways of life.

Eventually when a disciple has been schooled in the Words of Life, the time comes when he or she must decide whether or not to go all the way in overcoming ‘self’. This is illustrated in the fall constellations, referred to as “The Valley of Decision Constellation Group”.

It is the time in a disciple’s life when they are asked the question…“Will you go to death (over ‘self’) for My sake? Will you fight the battle over ‘self’ until victory is finally achieved?”

VALLEY OF DECISION CONSTELLATION

SO WHERE ARE THE “MULTITUDES”?…

.

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,” Isaiah 2:2, 3

.

So where are the multitudes in this constellation? Well if you look at this sketch to the right, carefully, you will see an ENTIRE GALAXY making a slow trek up the steep slope toward the summit of one of the mountains. It is the mountain which is to the north in this sketch. This is the galaxy commonly called Andromeda. It is estimated to have possibly a trillion stars! Is a trillion stars a big enough multitude? Oh yes! Listen to God talking to Abraham…

.

“And He (God) brought him (Abraham) forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and He said unto him, So shall thy seed be.” Genesis 15:5

.

But this mountain in which this multitude of stars is climbing represents a very awesome and wonderful Bible concept. This mountain in Scripture is known as Mount Zion. And it is also known as the Mount of Blessing. It represents that spiritual mountain which Believers must climb, in order to reach the City of God.

.

Listen to Scripture… “But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem…To the…church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven…” Hebrews 12:22, 23.

.

Well it sure seems that this verse is correct when it says the words… “which are written in heaven”! Because this galaxy in this constellation group is a wonderful picture of the Church as it makes it trek to the summit of this starry mountain; a picture of God’s Church…His faithful people…written in the heavens. These are the Signs of Heaven, promised long ago to be revealed before that “great and terrible Day of the Lord”…

Back in the 1970’s, a certain saying was popularized…“The Devil made me do it! The Devil made me do it!”

And this was merely mocking Christians, who were seemingly obsessed with pointing the finger at the Devil.

Then they could all laugh and mock the notion that Satan is a very active and powerful force controlling the people of this world, by laughingly saying…“The Devil made me do it! The Devil made me do it!”

SATAN, “THE GOD OF THIS WORLD”

2nd Corinthians 4:4

But the horrifying fact is, the Devil does indeed cause the vast percentage of the world’s inhabitants to do a great amount of things!

And this above verse from Ephesians reveals that Satan is indeed… “the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”

And let’s face it! To admit that the entire world’s inhabitants are filled with this evil spirit, that now works in them, is more than anybody is willing to accept, much less even admit!

In the April 22 devotional (click here), the Devil, being called, “the god of this world” in 2nd Corinthians 4:4, was put forth as an evil puppet-master, controlling and orchestrating so much of the goings on in this world.

Oh yes, God is ultimately in control, and only permits Satan to work within the parameters which Bible prophecy lays out, concerning his workings of deception and evil. And Satan must get permission before he can do anything.

WORLDLY ROLE-MODELS?

But today’s devotional will attempt to home-in on the world, and who is really making things happen. After all, there is a real effort to put the blame on mere humans for what is happening around the world.

Take for example the destruction of the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001.

.

Oh yes, we all know that terrorists did it. But many conspiracy theories abound, concerning that tragic event, as to just who was behind it, working in the shadows to make it happen. Some even blame the US government; others blame the Illuminati.

.

But the Bible has something to say on just who is behind the wars and man-made calamities of this world.

.

“SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES”

Listen…“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12

Satan, “the god of this world” loves to erase himself out of visibility. But make no mistake! This evil ruler is not just sitting idly by, merely watching the goings on all around him. No, just the opposite! Satan and his vast army of unseen spirit-beings (and humans) are working around the clock, carefully orchestrating the events in the world, according to his masterplan.

“AND HE (GOD) DOES ACCORDING TO HIS WILL IN…EARTH”

Oh yes, God is ultimately in control, and only allows Satan to work within the parameters which the Lord has laid down for him…“Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee: the remainder of wrath shalt Thou restrain.” Psalm 76:10

Make no mistake! God is ultimately in control of man, but also over what Satan can and cannot do!

SATAN, THE TRUE ‘MOVER-AND-SHAKER’ OF THIS WORLD!

But it is to this evil arch-deceiver’s advantage to create the illusion that humans are master-minding all the current events around the world.

And so, he raises up various clandestine organizations and causes us to believe that a small group of men are behind such catastrophes as the 911 attacks.

.

And Satan remains hidden in the shadows. And humans get all the credit, and Satan gets none of the blame!

.

**But no, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the dark spiritual forces at work behind the scenes who are the actual “movers-and-shakers”.**

Well, if God should withdraw His powers from humans and Satan did too, we would be dismayed to discover just how inept and bumbling we humans actually are!

The only reason that the world is making all its discoveries and seemingly successful achievements is because the true orchestrators of this world are the higher unseen spiritual powers of both Heaven and Hell (“Hell” in the sense of the death and darkness of this world), working behind the scenes and in the shadows making it all happen!

Well, the very Good (but rather scary) News is that this world has finally come down to its great climactic finale. The final scenes are just now beginning to unfold. This “experiment in sin” has almost reached its finality.

And all who hear Heaven’s call can jump ship, so to speak, and get on-board the winning side.

And this Gospel ship is soon to set sail, away from this dying planet, taking us to the Promised Land of Milk and Honey in which we will be forever happy and forever young!

“And he said unto me,

Unto two thousand and three hundred days;

then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”

Daniel 8:14

This above verse foretells of a time when the sanctuary shall be cleansed.

And at the end of the year, the earthly priest entered into the temple of Israel, to cleanse the Most Holy Place.

.

And this was a picture of what Christ, our High Priest will do to His Heavenly Temple in these last days.

“YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD”

.

And just what is today’s unfolding message?

.

It is the revelation that each and every true worshiper of God is part of God’s sanctuary, even as it is written…“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” 1st Corinthians 3:16

.

Here is a profound truth which reveals that God’s Elect people, together, make up God’s temple. And because Christ, our high priest, indwells within the hearts of His people, therefore their heart is an extension of the heavenly Sanctuary and its service.

.

CLEANSING THE TEMPLE OF HEARTS

.

And so, when God speaks of cleansing the sanctuary, He is also referring to the hearts of His Believers. Oh yes, the cleansing has to do with the true Believers being separated from the false brethren in these last days.

.

But let’s remember that God sits as a purifier of the hearts of His people, purifying them even as gold and silver are purified…by fiery trials.

.

Listen to Malachi 3:2, 3…“But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.”

Here is a great truth which God is just now revealing to His people. The Bible clearly tells us…“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation…” 1st Peter 2:9

“GOD…MADE US TO SIT…IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST…”

Now it becomes clear just who are the spiritual sons of Levi in these last moments of time: the New Testament Believers. And the Bible says…“And(God) hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Ephesians 2:6

Now, we know that it is said of Christ…“He ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an High Priest became us…” Hebrews 7:25, 26

And having this knowledge of Christ’s ongoing priestly service, it is not difficult to conclude that every Believer shares the priestly duties along with Christ, their great High Priest, who dwells within their hearts!

We live in a land in which many citizens claim to be Christians. This nation is filled with many churches, and even more church-goers. And yet, 2nd Chronicles seems to be an unfulfilled promise. We live in a unhealed and sin-sick land.

2ND CHRONICLES: AN UNFULFILLED PROMISE

So how can we as a people claim this great and precious promise found in 2nd Chronicles 7:13, 14?

SIGN IN HEAVEN

Well, If you look up and lift up your head, you just might see a wonderful sign, which God spoke about in Revelation 12. It is a constellation of a woman. The ancients only saw it as a great bear. It is commonly known as Ursa Major . It is also known as the 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper), but with the addition of various other stars.

But with the eye of faith, it actually appears as the Revelation 12 Woman. You see, God has placed in the heavens, the symbol of His bride, the Church-Faithful.

Listen… “And there appeared a great wonder (sign) in heaven; a woman…And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered…And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place… from the face of the serpent. Revelation 12:1, 2, 14.

***TRAVAILING* IN SUMMER, *FLEEING IN WINTER***

In the summer night-sky, Just as this passage says, she appears as the woman-in-travail. But in the winter, she flips upside-down, to appear as the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12, just as this passage states. But whether this Virtuous Woman is in labor pains, or fleeing to the mountains, she is the heavenly icon of God’s bride, His Church.

And now we need to explore how this fleeing woman in the heavens relates to us, the Church. Just like this fleeing woman, we too, need to flee from the wrath to come. But how do we flee? On September 11th, 2001, approximately 3,000 people were brutally murdered by a group of humans, so filled with hate, they were willing to destroy their own in the process.

WHAT DOES GOD SAY?

Nevertheless, even though abortion has been legal in America for a number of decades, there is still a great divide in western societies over this issue.

But just what does the Bible say about abortion? That’s the really important question!

.

What does God have to say about this very controversial issue?

“THOU SHALT NOT KILL”

.

Of course, the very first passage which comes to mind is the 6th Commandment…”Thou shalt not kill.” Exodus 20:13

.

And Jesus, during His earthly sojourn, said it this way…”Thou shalt do no murder.” Matthew 19:18

.

The problem is, many people have somehow convinced themselves that this commandment doesn’t apply to unborn children. “It’s just a hunk of flesh”, they disingenuously proclaim, (knowing in their hearts, that it actually is a human being!)

.

But the Bible reveals that this so-called, “hunk of flesh” is actually a child! After all, in Genesis 38:24, a young lady named Tamar, was said to be, “with child”, only three months after conception.

.

So where else does Scripture speak to this very controverted issue?

JOHN MEETS JESUS AND LEAPS FOR JOY!

.

Listen to this next passage from Luke’s Gospel…”For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy (Mary’s) salutation, sounded in mine (Mary’s cousin, Elizabeth) ears, the babe (John the Baptist) leaped in my womb for joy.” Luke 1:44

.

Here was the young virgin, Mary, going to her cousin Elisabeth’s home, just days after she was told that she was with child, the baby Jesus. And Elisabeth (who was six months along with her own baby, John the Baptist), exclaimed to Mary that she felt John leap in her (Elisabeth’s) womb for joy because Jesus had entered the home of Elisabeth.

.

So now it is established that Jesus, although newly conceived, was already a living soul within Mary’s womb. And John, six months along in his mother’s womb, was able to think, reason, and even to leap for joy because the Holy Spirit informed him that the Savior of the world was in the house.

.

And so, this passage should dispel the popular notion that a newly conceived child is merely “a hunk of flesh”, as many abortion advocates would have us to believe. Yes, Mary was probably only a few weeks with child, and yet Jesus was very present. After all, a mere “hunk of flesh” is not holy!

.

But also, being only six months in Elisabeth’s womb, John’s actions prove that a child in the womb is able to think and even experience joy!

LIFE MUST BE GIVEN FOR LIFE!

Now, just one more passage. This one is found in Exodus, when Moses is explaining the law… “If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief (damage) follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief (damages) follow, then thou shalt give life for life…” Exodus 21:21-23 (parenthetical comments by website Editor)

.

**In other words, if anyone dies (Old English word, “mischief’), then “life shall be given for life”.**

.

And all of us instinctively know that life begins at conception. And the previously mentioned passage from Luke, (concerning Jesus being just recently conceived), confirms that life begins at conception.

“Hands That Shed Innocent Blood”

Proverbs 6:17

And so, from these passages it is clear that God has given enough information in the Bible for all truth-seekers to realize that abortion is indeed, murder.

And yet, God has supplied those who are dishonest in heart, with enough “pegs to hang their doubts upon”.

.

But really, the people of the world all realize that abortion prevents that child from entering the world. And deep down they realize what abortion is: dirty rotten murder!

THE GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION

Nevertheless, for those who have already committed this heinous sin, there is hope! Yes, even the great Apostle, Paul, was guilty of murder, prior to his conversion. And God forgave him.

.

And King David was likewise a murder, and yet, God forgave him as well.

.

And so, those who have committed the grievous sin of killing that life in their womb can come to Jesus and plead for His forgiveness just like David did. (read Psalm 51).

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” Rev. 12:3

In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not. But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars. The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7). And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10). So we have this 7 and 10 numbering. And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent. One of the most amazing creatures ever created is the Cuttlefish! Actually, it is not a fish, but a type of mollusk, like a squid, or an octopus.

The reason why this creature is so incredible, is that it can just glance at its environment and instantly change its body to imitate that environment.

.

For instance, if it wants to hide from its enemies, or lie-in-wait for its victims, next to a sea-weed, it simply changes its color, spots, and shape to imitate that sea-weed. It can even instantly grow leaf-like appendages to imitate certain sea-weeds!

.

This little creature is nothing short of amazing!

CUTTLEFISH: SYMBOL OF SATAN

Well, God has created this little predator-pretender to give us further insight into the inner workings of the kingdom of Satan.

(As this little 26 second video below shows, the Cuttlefish has the ability to paralyze his potential victims, by using his hypnotizing strobe-light effect! Amazing!)

.

Certainly Satan and his unseen minions love to make themselves invisible! That way, they can work their misery and woe upon this unsuspecting world, without its inhabitants becoming alarmed, causing us to rebel against Satan’s kingdom, as we flee to God! And just as this little cuttlefish hypnotizes its “candidates for consumption”, so too, Satan has filled the world with many glittering attractions to likewise mesmerize his naive and unwary victims!

In the first installment of this topic on today’s Yellow Journalism (click here), it was mentioned that when back in high school, the teachers of American history briefly, but enthusiastically taught of the great newspaper magnate, William Randolph Hearst.

.

And the main thrust of the classroom lesson was that Hearst wholeheartedly engaged in “Yellow Journalism”, as he used exaggerations and sensationalism in his vast and powerful empire of newspapers, to promote his own personal political views.

.

And so, William R. Hearst was tagged with the demeaning title of being a “Yellow Journalist”.

THE INDUSTRY STANDARD

But what was once considered to be a despicable and disdainful form of dishonesty, has pretty-much become the “industry standard” in today’s world!

**In other words, “Yellow Journalism” has now become “the new normal” throughout the daily news industry, to a great degree with few exceptions!**

.

Yes, not only newspapers, but radio, television and Internet are saturated with the same exaggerations, sensationalism, biased coverage, story-spiking, shadow-banning, and sometimes, even abject out-and-out lies.

To look around and witness all the venomous hatred between the various political, religious, cultural, ethnic, and social groups is nothing short of amazing!

But this is nothing new! Not only did the religious rulers despise Jesus to the degree that they ultimately put Him to death, but even among themselves they were divided into a number of factions: the Pharisees and Sadducees, for instance.

.

Yes, even among these two religious groups, the Pharisees and Sadducees, the overwhelming hatred often manifested itself over their disagreements about the Scriptures.

But in today’s world, all this ever-increasing hatred only confirms the prophetic veracity of the Bible! Listen…”And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that Thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear Thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” Revelation 11:18

Never before in history has the world stood as a witness to the cruel venomous hatred and animosity between the various cultures and groups of humans, both in the secular world as well as in the religious world.

It is truly astounding to see how the mass media has devolved into little more than partisan warriors, willing to spin half-truths and out-and-out lies, all for the sake of their own political parties!

The anger, the cruel mockings, the hate-filled jests of the TV “comedians”, the cold-hearted indifference, the vicious gossip of the day-time talk shows, the slanders, the false accusations, the verbal scourgings, and the savage name-calling, have all risen to an intense and intolerable level, even to the degree of “boiling-over”!

Well, the point is, we are just now getting a small taste of what’s in store for true worshipers of God in the coming months!

“LOVE NOT THE WORLD!”

But truth-be-told, God, being the Searcher of Hearts, sees how much we inherently love this present, selfish world.

And so, He must drive out our trust and love for this evil world of sin, with all its earthy pleasures and proud, ambitious pursuits…“If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (or her).” (read 1st John 2:15-17).

.

Thus, God begins a work in many souls, to root out that innate earthly love. This is one reason why God is allowing all this growing hatred and intolerance which we are now seeing around the world.

“FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS!”

**And we should not be surprised to see things go “completely and fully evil” in the coming days and months.**

And while it grieves the Lord greatly, to behold suffering, He knows that in the end, these things will purify our hearts, even as precious gold is purified!

He knows that His world-loving people have to behold the fallen planet for what it truly is, before we will be willing to make our end-time Exodus!

THE NARROW GATE STARS

.

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story). Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).

.

And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch to below left). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

.

This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark). While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions. It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

.

The sketch to left shows, the two doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch to right).
