The Devil Made Me Do It!

There was a popular saying back in the 70’s, which cried out in a mocking tone, “The Devil made me do it! The Devil made me do it!”

.

And this worldly saying, “The Devil made me do it! The Devil made me do it!”, has had its effect on us for over four decades, making us ashamed to give any credit to Satan, for all the evil in the world!

.

But truth-be-told, this saying, “The Devil made me do it!” is a very valid and accurate statement in many instances of everyday life! Yes, the fact is, the Devil makes a whole lot of people do a whole lot of things in this, his satanic majesty’s kingdom!

.

PEOPLE ARE NOT THE PROBLEM

.

The Bible says… “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12

.

As this above passage reveals, it is not flesh and blood that causes us problems! No, it is the principalities, the powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and the spiritual wickedness in high places, who are causing many or even most of the problems in this world! Oh yes, the evil agencies often work through unbelievers and apostate Christians. Make no mistake about that!

But we must not be deceived by this Anti-Christ world into believing that everything is due to natural causes! Even so-called mental illness!

.

Listen again… “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:“

DEMONS: THE TRUE MOVERS & SHAKERS!

But the so-called “mentally imbalanced” ones in society are not the only victims of satanic forces!

.

As a matter of fact, there are also many rich persons, who seem to have a “Midas-touch”, who likewise are merely “useful pawns” of Satan!

.

Yes, it is not mere humans who are the “movers & shakers” in this world! But it the spirit of Antichrist that works in unbelievers and in false brethren, to make things happen!

SATAN’S ANTICHRIST WORLD!

This truth concerning the prince of the power of the air, is why the Bible tells us, “this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. They (Antichrists) are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.”  1st John 4:3, 5

.

And so, armed with this knowledge, how can we possibly be angry at those around us, who assail us? How can we blame mere humans for causing us trouble? Our true enemies are not people! No, our true enemies are those unseen spirits who come against us through unsuspecting people, who are unaware that they are being used by Satan!

And we must also keep in mind that whenever we ourselves are not fully consecrated to God, those same unseen powers may come through us, to persecute others!

PETER’S PROBLEM WITH SATAN

.

Peter was a perfect example of how Satan can use a true Believer, to do his dirty work. Yes, Peter came like a true humanitarian, and scolded Jesus, for wanting to die on the Cross!

.

And how did Jesus respond?

.

Listen… “But He turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind Me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” Matthew 16:23

.

And so, Jesus knew perfectly well who was coming against him! It wasn’t Peter! It was the Devil!

GOD ALLOWS SATAN TO SIFT US

.

Now, there is a truth that must be understood, as to why we are suffering. Yes, our problem really isn’t with the Devil. Our true problem is with God! That’s right! It is God who is ultimately in control of all things! And if God sees an inward wickedness in our heart, he may allow Satan to sift us as wheat, just as Satan did with Peter.

.

Listen…. “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:” Luke 22:31

.

Yes, both Peter and Job are two biblical examples of how Satan comes against God’s people, with the purpose of sifting us as wheat! And in Peter’s case, Satan came through several people, and tempted Peter to deny his Lord.

.

In Job’s case, Satan came directly through the Sabean thieves, through the wind and through physical disease to oppress Job.

VERY GOOD NEWS!

.

The Good News in all this, is that God wants to help us put on the armor of God, so that we can withstand all the attacks by the evil one!

.

And so, knowing the perilous situation that we all are in, every one of us must put on that armor of light, and be ever-so watchful and vigilant!

.

Because our adversary is constantly watching and waiting to use us for his own evil purposes. And he is continually begging permission to sift us, just as he did to those two wonderful servants of God, Job and Peter.

.

So let’s put on that armor, and stay in unceasing prayer and Bible contemplation! OK?

7 STARS IMITATE THE CROSS OF ORION

Peter let down his Lord by denying him thrice. But God allowed this to happen, knowing that Peter would repent, later to become one of the zealous Followers of Jesus. Probably many Christians have let their Lord down in a big way in the past. And like Peter, they have repented, likewise to become even more ardent Followers of Jesus.

The Church, in these last days, has been flooded with every device that Satan could possibly conjure up, to cast across our pathway, and lead God’s sheep astray. And though the Church has been greatly hindered, God is about to purify His sin-laden people, who will finally lift up the Cross of Christ with such power and glory, as this world has never before seen.

And the Reader may just discover the way that he or she might also help lift that Cross up. And God has inscribed in the heavens, a picture of how the Church lifts up the Cross, as they imitate their Lord. So please read this very important article. And though it may take 30 minutes or so, it will be well worth the read.

LOCATING THESE TWO CONSTELLATIONS

.

This phenomenon begins in October, in the pre-dawn hours. It then begins a little earlier each night.

This Wikipedia star-chart to the left, has this Orion Constellation sketched in. You must locate Orion, when it is mid-sky, between east and west. You’ll be facing southward most likely, unless you are far south. Try to imagine it as a Cross on a steep hill. The 3-star belt of Orion becomes the crest of the hill. The 3 very faint stars that make up Orion’s head become the very top of the Cross.

Next, locate the 7 Stars Constellation. This 7 Stars Constellation is seen by facing northward. It stands upright a little later in the night. Eventually, Orion will lay down and no longer be seen as an uplifted Cross! Beginning in November, the 7 Stars (AKA Big Dipper) can be seen as a Cross a little bit later in evening.

When you are comfortable in locating Orion & The 7 Stars Constellations, then show a friend. This can be a great witnessing tool!

One night, before a high-school basketball game, two boys were waiting for the third boy to come by, so they could go to the game together.

The third boy was late, so the two called to see where he was. The boy’s younger brother answered, saying that his brother died that day in a terrible automobile/train accident!

FAR TOO RELAXED!

We go about our lives in such a casual, nonchalant manner! It’s so strange how carefree we are, considering what a dangerous and even tragic world we live in! You would think that this unbelieving world would be much more nervous than they are!

But for Believers, it seems that we are likewise, much too nonchalant about life.

listen… “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalm 90:12

Yes, as this above verse encourages, we need to realize just how fragile life is! We need to really be cognizant of how dangerous this life is, in so many ways!

We just take far too much for granted!

OUR LIFE BUT A VAPOR!

A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD

But God has chosen us to be priests… “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,” 1st Peter 2:9.

And as priests, it is our duty to be constantly praying for our family, for our friends and neighbors, and for the Family of God! And we must remember to pray for our Human Family, in a world teetering on the brink of destruction!

“THE CAUSE WHICH I KNEW NOT, I SEARCHED OUT”

Job 29:16

Listen to this fearful warning… “If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not He that pondereth the heart consider it? and He that keepeth thy soul, doth not He know it? and shall not He render to every man according to his works?” Proverbs 24:11, 12

.

Here is a frightening passage which exhorts us to be ever praying for God’s mercy on those who are on the brink of destruction. And God is saying, howbeit in a round-about manner, that there is no excuse for our ignorance of prayer for these soon-to-die people. Yes, the Searcher of all hearts knows just who we should be praying for, and He would let us know, if we would only plead for an awareness.

Job, prior to his horrible trials, made a habit of searching out causes which he knew not. Yes, Job was very proactive in searching for those who needed help of one kind or another.

Listen to Job’s testimony…“I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out.” Job 29:16

DANGEROUS CITY LIFE

The daily news is filled with extremely frightening reports from big cities, of random brutal assaults on innocent pedestrians for no apparent reason!

If ever there was a time to engage in constant and unceasing prayer, it is now!

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!

.

The Bible commands us to… “Pray without ceasing”. 1st Thessalonians 5:17

.

And so we must strive to attain to this level of prayer.

And the Bible says… “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.” 1st Peter 4:7

.

Yes, this above admonition from Peter is not optional! And maybe this verse just might be a good verse to commit to memory!

OUR DIVINE ROLE-MODEL

.

The bottom line to this and to every other question concerning the heart, is the life of Jesus. And in the area of prayer, Jesus is our divine example! Yes, we are to look to Jesus’ prayer life, and attempt to imitate it. “What would Jesus do! How did Jesus pray?  Where would Jesus go? And where would He not go? How can I be more like Him in every area of my life?”

.

These are the kinds of questions we should be asking ourselves each and every day!

JESUS SAYS… WATCH!

.

Jesus warns us… “Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the Master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly He find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” Mark 13:35-37

.

Yes, O Soldier of the Cross, we each must be sober and vigilant! There are dangers all around! Dangers from without! Dangers from within!

.

The silence of helpless and speechless lost Souls, cries out for our protective prayers on their behalf! We must pray much more than we now do!

.

And so, this little daily devotional is a challenge for both of us to spend more time in heart-felt prayer for our own soul, but also for all others!

Now, having said all this, let’s not get the false notion that we must pitifully walk through life under a dark cloud of doom & gloom.

Just the opposite!

The Bible lays out the proper balance of a Spirit-filled faith-walk…“As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.” 2nd Corinthians 6:10

.

Yes, even during the coming Time of Trouble, the Christian can and will be able to “rejoice in the Lord alway, and again I say REJOICE!” (Read and memorize Philippians 4:4-9)

LOOSING THE BANDS OF ORION

God spoke several times of Orion, in Scripture. His question to Job was a very mystifying question, to say the least… “Canst thou…loose the bands of Orion?” Job 38:31. Such a strange question, indeed! How could a constellation have its bands loosed, much less, even have bands? Puzzling, puzzling!

But now, He is revealing this bright and beautiful constellation in a way that has never before been seen. God Himself is loosing Orion’s bands, as He is just now unraveling this age-old mystery. And we are beginning to understand that this most infamous of all constellations is nothing less than a remarkable metaphor concerning Jesus.

THE 5 OFFICES OF ORION

But like most of the other Signs which this website reveals, Orion too, has much more to say as he changes his position in the sky. And this Soldier in the Heavens puts on different garb, as he presents the five awesome aspects of his various offices. John Chapman, born in 1774, spent his adult life as a vagabond, traveling around Ohio,

Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Indiana, and Illinois, planting and caring for apple orchards, and being somewhat of a missionary and evangelist, preaching the doctrines of a self-proclaimed prophet, Emanuel Swedenborg.

Yes, this man did what he thought was his commission from God, to plant apple seeds wherever he went. And of course, his nickname became Johnny Appleseed. And he walked barefoot through the countryside, wearing a tin cooking pot for a hat, and a bag of apple-seeds over his shoulder, planting seeds, and talking of the Swedenborg gospel to whoever would listen.

THE NATURAL (CARNAL) MAN

.

Now this article is not to disparage the folksy legend of Johnny Appleseed. (But to set the record straight, the gospel Chapman preached is currently known as the “Jesus Only” gospel, which denies the existence of the Father and the Holy Spirit.) 

.

But it does make a somewhat appropriate introduction to a great problem which often occurs when people try to interpret the Bible literally, when the Bible should be interpreted spiritually, and even allegorically.

.

Listen… “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1st Corinthians 2:14

.

The Bible uses many things in nature to present spiritual truths. For instance, John Chapman quite possibly read many passages such as this one… “Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)” 2nd Corinthians 9:10.

.

And from such similar passages as this, John Chapman perhaps took a literal connotation, and began his mission to plant literal apple seeds throughout the land.

GETTING INTO REAL TROUBLE

.

But there are many readers of the Bible who have ended up in a lot more trouble than Johnny Appleseed, by ignoring the true meaning of certain allegories. At least Johnny lived a somewhat healthful life!

.

But there have been many who have read about wine in the Bible, and have taken such passages literally, and eventually became drunkards. When the truth is, wine is used in the Bible as an allegory concerning the blood of Jesus.

.

There have been others who have read the parable of the Ten Virgins, and have begun advocating polygamy, when in fact that parable is speaking of churches, not literal women!

.

And there are many today who look at passages concerning dancing, and have taken this metaphor concerning the joy we have in Jesus, as permission to engage in today’s sensual dances!

.

THE BIBLE, A SUPERNATURAL BOOK

.

“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:” 2nd Thess. 2:11.

.

God has written the Bible in such a way, that it reveals to each person whatever is the ruling force within each particular individual’s heart.

.

Listen to David… “With the merciful Thou wilt show Thyself merciful; with an upright man Thou wilt show Thyself upright; With the pure Thou wilt show Thyself pure; and with the froward (crooked) Thou wilt show Thyself froward (unsavoury).” Psalm 18:25, 26.

.

For those who wish to prove the Bible is not the Word of God, they will have no trouble finding supposed error within its pages. 

.

For those who wish to have a God who will endlessly torture all those who reject their church, there are certain verses which seem to confirm that idea of so-called, “Eternal Torment” (which name is never found in Scripture).

.

For those who wish the “bad guys” to be someone else, the Bible will seemingly point the accusing finger at “the other guy”.

.

For those who wish to find an excuse to sin, the Bible will appear to supply excuses.

.

For those who don’t want to be bothered with Bible study, the Bible will almost seem to give the necessary permission to be excused from Bible study.

.

For those who want to go after worldly enterprises, earthly riches, or amusements and pleasures, the Bible supposedly contains all the necessary encouragements to do so.

.

And on and on and on it goes…

THE BIBLE REVEALS MY OWN HEART

.

In other words, for those who wish to find the Jesus of their own making (for there are many Jesus’s, howbeit false ones), there are enough relevant passages in which to do so.

.

No it’s not that the Bible has lies in it. Every Word of God is true and pure. But God has written it in such a way, to judge each and every person, as to show just exactly what is in a person’s own heart.

.

Listen… “For the Word of God is (living), and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12.

.

Yes, the Bible is a discerner of each and every human heart! It cuts both ways, either to save or to destroy.

.

But for those who seek to become a true Follower of Jesus, the Bible begins to open up to that Believer. At first, it may only be a few passages. But it is enough for that individual to begin that upward journey on the pathway of truth. And more and more, as time goes by, does that truth-seeker begin to comprehend further Bible passages.

.

And that pathway begins to shine brighter and brighter on the road to the Celestial City of God… “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.” Proverbs 4:18, 19

.

MANY JOHNNY APPLESEEDS!

.

When rightly interpreted, the Bible reveals the true character of Christ and our relationship to Him. Yes, the true Gospel of Christ is quite often veiled by the many allegories, which are found throughout the pages of Scripture!

.

Unfortunately, there are very many teachers who subscribe to a totally non-biblical hermeneutic which commands the Christian to abstain from the spiritual interpretation of Scripture, as far as possible!

.

And so, many Bible students become locked out of much of the Bible, simply because their teachers command them, “to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” 1st Timothy 4:3

Yes, as this above verse allegorizes, many teachers command their students to abstain from the strong meat of the Word which are often veiled within allegorical types and symbols found in its various stories, in both the Old Testament, as well as the New Testament.

GOOD NEWS!

.

Well, there is Good News to be gleaned concerning these things. Yes, if I perceive that I have been deceived into believing lies, by my own misinterpretation of Scripture, God is allowing me time to amend my ways!

.

Listen… “And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” 2nd Timothy 2:19, 21

.

And so, with promises such as this above passage, I can turn from my wicked ways and seek God’s face. And God is very merciful and of a tender heart!

Now isn’t that some really Good News!?

“FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS”

Matthew 24:

.

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:” Matthew 24:15, 16

.

So the above verse is a warning to all those who are living over there in Palestine. “Flee to the mountains!”. And this photo of the mountains of Judea just might be a good place to flee to. But with today’s tracking devices, it probably wouldn’t be too long until they found you. But does this passage have a message for us Christians who are scattered elsewhere around the world? Listen once again…

God’s Two-Edged Sword

“In that day, the LORD

with His sore and great and strong sword

.

shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent,

.

even leviathan that crooked serpent;

.

and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.”

Isaiah 27:1

So God has a sword!

.

This above verse from Isaiah makes that very clear!

.

And that sword is “sore and great and strong”! 

.

And with that “sore and great and strong sword”, God will punish that old serpent, the Devil! 

.

“And He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea!”

.

And so, let us briefly explore just what kind of sword that God has, and just how it will punish that old serpent and slay that ancient dragon.

THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT

Okay, so God’s sword is His Word! And it is His Word that will ultimately triumph over evil!

WORD OF GOD IS LIVING & POWERFUL!

But listen to this… “For the Word of God is quick (living), and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.” Hebrews 4:12, 13

Now it says here that God’s Word, is quick (living) and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword!

ALL SCRIPTURE IS LIVING & POWERFUL!

Now the question to be answered is this: “Are all of the books of both the Old and New Testaments living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword?” 

.

And the answer which comes back is, “Yes, all the books of the Bible are “living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword!”

.

So that means that Isaiah is, “living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword”! And that means that Nehemiah is also, “living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword!”

.

As a matter of fact, every single book of the Old Testament is, “living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword!”

DISCERNS THOUGHTS & INTENTS

And as this passage from Hebrews says, God’s Word pierces, “even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Again, the question begs an answer, “Are Jeremiah and Ezekiel ‘piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart?'” 

.

And the answer comes echoing back, “Yes, of course! Jeremiah and Ezekiel are both ‘piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.'”

ALL 22 CHAPTERS OF REVELATION

Well then, is the entire book of Revelation “piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”? 

.

Yes, all 22 Chapters of Revelation are “piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

.

The reason for asking these repetitive questions is that there are many who try to diminish the Book of Revelation, at least the last 19 chapters, as not concerning the Church! And the same teachers attempt to diminish the power of much of the Old Testament as well, saying that it mainly concerns literal Israel, and not Christians.

PROPHECIES FOR ME TOO!

.

But the fact is, the entire book of Revelation, and each and every book of the Old Testament is “living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

.

And even if those books speak of “Israel”, or “Jerusalem”, or “Jews, or the “Twelve Tribes”, you can insert the word, “Christian”, or “The Church”, or “Us”, or even “Me” in their place! Yes, the whole Bible and all its prophecies also apply to “us”, and to “me”, in these New Testament times. That is because those Old Testament books are living books! Yes, they are “living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword!” And they are “a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart!”

DISCERNING SPIRITUAL, ALLEGORICAL THINGS!

.

Oh yes, many things must be spiritually discerned. Many of those Old Testament precepts and laws must be seen in a spiritual context. But they are as relevant as anything in the New Testament!

.

For instance, when the Book of Isaiah says, “For by fire and by His sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.” Isaiah 66:16, we must view this spiritually to mean that flames of fire symbolize God’s ministers (see Hebrews 1:7). And God’s sword symbolizes His Word, as has already been discussed.

.

So this verse actually says that “For by fire (God’s ministers) and by His sword (God’s Word) will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the [spiritually] slain of the LORD shall be many.”

.

So now we begin to discern the spiritual nature of this verse from Isaiah. And we now begin to see this verse from Isaiah 66, that it concerns God’s living and powerful Word and its ability to slay our old, selfish nature!

GOD’S SWORD CUTS TO SAVE, OR TO DESTROY!

.

And so, God’s two-edged sword cuts both ways! It either cuts to save, or it cuts to destroy! And every soul in the Church has been spiritually slain by that two-edged sword. Some to their utter damnation, and the rest slain to their Salvation!

.

And so, those of us who presume to teach what the Bible says, really need to tremble and quake, knowing the terror of the Lord! It is no light thing to be a teacher! And conversely, it is no light thing to be a student of Bible teachers!

.

WE MUST DEPART FROM INIQUITY!

.

And “Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 2nd Timothy 2:19

.                                                                               

Yes, there are many of us who profess to be teachers, who take our office far too casually! And instead, each and every one of us should be crying out for God’s mercy because of our indolence and ignorance of God’s Word! God have mercy on us teachers and also on we, the listeners, as well! God’s two-edged sword is razor sharp for a very good reason!

THE GLITTERING SWORD CONSTELLATION

This constellation is made of most of the constellations in this website. The upper portion can be seen in the winter, while the lower blade is visible in the warmer months. (This constellation is actually in a semi-circle, as it appears in the night-sky. These pictures, however, show it as it would appear straightened out.)

THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT

.

“And take the helmet of Salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God:” Ephesians 6:17

.

The Heavens Declare website is made of signs in the Sun, Moon, and Stars. But these signs point to the Bible, which is the greatest stronghold of truth, which we have in this world. But the point is, this giant sword which spans the heavens is engraved with the various constellations, much like the swords of this world which are often engraved with various writings and pictures.

.

But this Glittering Sword in the heavens represents God’s Word. And these constellations tell the story of the Gospel. (These constellations span both summer and winter sky, and this constellation in this picture to the right actually appears much more curved in the sky.)

“If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.” Deuteronomy 32:41

“Silly Women”

to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

THIS DOESN’T MAKE SENSE!

.

What in the world could this above passage from Paul’s writing to Timothy be all about?

.

And just who are these silly women laden with sins?

.

And are these women so silly that they allow strangers to creep into their houses?

.

And why are they ever-learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth?

.

Very strange, wouldn’t you agree?

.

MINISTERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

.

But then, Paul puts the crowning touch on this description, by saying that these people have…“a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:”

.

Okay, so if these silly women in these last days are churches which are ever-learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, then these evil ones who “creep in” have a form of godliness, but deny the Holy Spirit’s power to change lives, must be speaking of Satan’s so-called, “ministers of righteousness!”

.

Listen… “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;” 2nd Corinthians 11:14, 15

.

So, it says here that there are ministers of righteousness who are in reality, merely emissaries of Satan, howbeit in disguise!

.

THE TIME WILL COME FOR ITCHING EARS

.

So just why God decided to put all this about silly women into allegorical language is somewhat of a mystery!

.

After all, the Bible makes this church-wide apostasy very clear in other places, such as this… “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2nd Timothy 4:3, 4

.

So here is a very plain statement about the apostate condition of the churches in these last days.

WHY CAN’T WE COME TO TRUTH?

.

Now the focus of this devotional is regarding the words, “ever learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth”.

.

Just what does it mean?

.

Well, the answer to this question is found within itself!

.

Listen again to the description of these evil men… “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud…lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2nd Timothy 3:, 2, 5

.

This above description in reality applies to these “silly women” (apostate churches). They study the Bible. They preach out of the Bible every week. But for some reason, they never can see through the facade of their own false godliness!

WHY AREN’T SERMONS DOING ANY GOOD?

.

The fact is, we have ministers and teachers who can almost quote the New Testament by memory, and yet, it has no soul-saving effect on either the parishioners nor those ministers and teachers!

.

So what is the problem? Why do these men sound so holy at times, and yet there is no, “righteousness and true holiness”? (Ephesians 4:24)

.

JESUS OUTSIDE, KNOCKING

.

The problem is that the Holy Spirit has vacated the local congregations and the “false holy spirit” has moved in and taken His place. And that explains why these silly women churches are ever-learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth!

.

Oh yes, Jesus is outside, standing at the door and knocking. But nobody is letting Him in!

.

And why is nobody letting Jesus in? Maybe this next verse will explain… “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My Disciple.” Luke 14:33

.

“No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other…Ye cannot serve God and mammon!”

Luke16:13

But make no mistake, the vast majority in Christendom today, are trying to hang on to the pleasures and pursuits of this world and have Jesus too! And such a religion can never have the true Jesus! We will only end up with a spurious “jesus” of our own making!

.

So those who belong to the apostate churches, which Paul describes as, “silly women”, may study the Bible each morning. We may attend our congregation each week, and even attend the Wednesday night Bible study! But we will never ever receive the knowledge that will save our soul! Sadly, we are joined to our many modern-day idols, and we just won’t let go!

BE LIKE THE 5 WISE VIRGINS

.

That infamous parable about the Wise & Foolish Virgins, has been a great encouragement to Christians for nearly 2,000 years now!

.

Yes, in this parable, God speaks of the Church as two divisions: those who are wise, and those who are foolish. (Yes, there may still be those in the churches, whether pastors or parishioners, who truly love the Lord.)

.

And yet, both groups were found sleeping when the wake-up call came… “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh! Go ye out to meet Him!” Matthew 25:6

.

Now there is some very Good News! Yes, God is giving us some extra time, to prove that we really mean business with Him. Yes, God has allowed just enough time for us to really get busy and study, and pray, and contemplate the precious words of Jesus!

And if ever there was a time to fall prostrate before Him, and plead for mercy and grace to become a true follower of Jesus, it is at this present fearful hour!

This constellation was identified on May 22nd, 2014. It is simply five stars, two from the Serpens Constellation, and three from the Hercules Constellation.

What gives this constellation impetus and significance is that it appears as five evenly positioned stars, in a slight oval pattern, as if they were sitting in a meeting, listening, or perhaps watching someone.

.

Second, they appear to be gathered in front of The Crown of Revelation 12 Constellation. (just below Corona Borealis in this Wikipedia star-chart, in which the editor of this site sketched in these two constellations)

.

GATHERED AROUND GLORIOUS CROWN!

The position of these stars is significant in a number of ways. The first, being that these Five Wise Virgins are gathered around the 12-star Crown of Revelation 12. And the obvious message here is, that these wise virgins represent the faithful portion of God’s Church. And as wise virgins, they understand the importance of winning the glorious crown of victory, which Jesus promised.

Listen… “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.” 1st Corinthians 9:24, 25. 

.

And so, God is showing us the difference between the wise and the foolish in His Church. While the wise are gathered around this crown of victory, the foolish are nowhere to be found.

Who Are You Calling A Dolt!?

.

In John Bunyan’s great allegorical tale, Pilgrim’s Progress, there happened along the path of the Pilgrim, a character named, “Ignorance”. And this man might otherwise be called a “simpleton”, or even a “dolt”.

.

Now why should this character even be mentioned? 

.

Well, a very popular radio Bible commentator was airing his program today, in which he made the following comment… “A Christian should have plenty of hobbies, and interests! I do! After all, you don’t want to be a dolt!”

.

Now this usually very nice and pleasant man didn’t realize just who he was calling a “dolt”!

.

After all, to equate not having hobbies and interests with being a dolt, is really an amazing comment, coming from a man who is a supposed spiritual father to many avid listeners to his daily radio commentary!

PAUL’S SELF-SACRIFICING LIFE

Just think about it! Take Paul, for instance. What hobbies and secular interests did Paul have? Was Paul a dolt, just because his life was totally devoted to the Gospel? After all, it was the Apostle Paul who crafted the following words… “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,” Philippians 3:8

Yes, Paul devoted every waking moment to the self-transformation of his heart and soul and life into the glorious image of Christ! Paul gave up this world, with all its selfish pursuits, in hopes of becoming totally Christlike!

JESUS SAYS, “FORSAKE ALL!”

Or take Jesus! Was Jesus a dolt? After all, it was Jesus who said the following words… “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:33.

As we read about the life of Jesus, we discover Him to be a totally devoted Redeemer!

.

And He didn’t come into this world to merely be put on a pedestal to be admired! No, rather, in the very words of Jesus… “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” John 14:6

.

Yes, Jesus was not just a Savior! No, He was also a role-model in all matters of life!

And so, whatever we see Jesus doing, or saying, or contemplating, this is the Way, the Truth and the Life for us to follow!

HAPPILY EVER-AFTER!

The Christian life is a wonderful life, compared to the life we once lived, prior to our conversion! After all, the people of this world have no hope! No, the whole human race is headed for everlasting shame and eternal destruction!

.

But the Christian, even in times of suffering, is heading toward a happy ending! You could say that the old story-book line applies to every true worshipper of God… “And they lived happily ever-after!” Yes, for only the Christian, this story-book ending is very appropriate and true!

CAREFUL WHO YOU CONDEMN

.

And so, with such a “great and precious promise” before us, it is really not a problem to lay down our life on the altar of service and self-sacrifice.

.

Listen… “I (Paul) beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living  sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1, 2

.

This above passage says that laying down our entire life on the altar of sacrifice is our reasonable service!

.

You could say that worldly-minded Bible teachers, such as this man who condemned all the totally dedicated Christians as being “dolts”, doesn’t realize that in so-doing is also condemning Jesus and His followers as being “dolts”!

.

So before you or I make some similar condemnation of God’s people, maybe we should first consider if our remark likewise applies to Jesus, or to Paul, or to John, etc..

.

FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS!

.

Now to be fair to this radio minister, amidst the pile of false gospel ministries on TV and radio, there were some reasonably good ministries in decades past. The problem with these was, that the advice they gave was often mingled with a worldly bent.

.

Thus, the Jesus they preached was a compromised Jesus. Their Jesus was not pure as the true Jesus is pure.

.

But God is calling us out of Babylon, out of both the church and the world. And while we can come completely out of the fallen churches, we cannot come completely out of the world. But we can come a good way out, if we so-choose!

.

Yes, God wants the world to behold and admire Christ shining out from within His people. Therefore, God is no longer willing to wink at our worldly compromises. He wants a pure and undefiled Church. Otherwise, the world could never clearly behold Christ in us!

RUN CHRISTIAN, RUN!

And so, the Church will shine right here on earth, in these last moments!

A HEAVENLY HOBBY

The above verse is a plea from God to look up at the Heavens and behold Who has created these things.

In this very interesting world, there are many, many, things which can occupy one’s time and energy: hobbies, and careers, and entertainments and worries, and habits, to name just a few. But as the child of God devotes his or her life to God, there should be a jealous guarding of one’s own heart. “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23. The Christian wants nothing to get in the way of running that Christian Race.

“AND WHEN YE SEE THESE THINGS…

LOOK UP, LIFT UP YOUR HEAD”

But having said this, there is one hobby which the ‘Noble Berean’ may take up, which only compliments the pursuit of the heavenly Prize. Signs Of Heaven becomes a wonderfully rewarding hobby which, unlike many less meaningful hobbies, pays off with rich heavenly rewards.

And unlike these people with equipment, all you need is fairly good vision, and a dark, starry night.

And once a person really gets to know these heavenly messengers, it will become very apparent that the message connected with these signs is truly a message to be heeded. Thus will the Christian be able to share this message with others. And there are perhaps many aspects and hidden meanings to these signs which have yet to be discovered.

FIRST FIND ORION & 7 STARS

.

The very first step in finding these many constellations, should be to find the two main constellations: Orion, and the 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper). These two constellations represent Christ (Orion), and His Church (7 Stars). And just as these are the easiest constellations to find, so too, the first place to begin studying the Bible is the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John). These four books present Christ and His Church, when He walked the earth, just as Orion and the 7 Stars represent Christ and His Church, as seen up in the heavens.

Then, once you are comfortable finding these two constellations, you can begin to locate the next closest constellations, and so on.

ANOTHER HEAVENLY HOBBY: PRAYER-WALKS

.

Now if you’re fortunate enough to be able to go on nightly walks, and you live in an area where you can safely view the stars, here is another Heavenly Hobby which Signs Of Heaven endorses. Why not combine star-watching with prayer, as you walk! What a great way to draw closer to God! It cannot be over-stressed, just how wonderful it is to walk under the dark canopy of Heaven, while lifting up one’s heart to our Heavenly Father. There is a closeness to God that cannot be described with words! (And even if you cannot safely do this, you can always do such prayer-walks in the daytime, in a safe place, such as a mall, which is every bit as effective, prayer-wise. And for those who are in confinement, one can view these on the Internet, or simply listen to Scripture on audio. Either way, all such may enjoy God’s richest blessings at this very time in which God is pouring out all Heaven’s treasures upon anyone willing to forsake all, and follow Jesus)

THRICE-DAILY PRAYERS

.

Now of course, the Bible commands us to “pray without ceasing“. The Christian is to constantly talk with our Heavenly Father throughout the day. But the Bible also holds up the godly life of Daniel, who, when captive in Babylon, still set aside three times daily, in which he knelt for special prayer. And furthermore the Bible also says… “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.” Psalm 55:17. Even those who are bed-fast or in a prison cell can begin to imitate Daniel in this way. And if one is fortunate to be able to walk, then this thrice-daily prayer regimen can be combined with three walks daily and even nightly.

Heavenly Mount Zion Constellation

“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness.

.

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.”

Psalm 48:1, 2

This above passage sings of Mount Zion, in the sides of the North!

.

But if one looks to the Northeast in late Summer and into Fall, there is a constellation which God created to be a heavenly picture of the Heavenly Mount Zion. And it is commonly known as “Cassiopeia”. But God has created it to symbolize the true Zion, which is in Heaven.

.

Listen…  “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,” Hebrews 12:22

.

Yes, Jerusalem and Mount Zion here on earth are merely earthly types, to represent the true Heavenly Jerusalem and Mount Zion.

LOCATING HEAVENLY MOUNT ZION

But if the Reader will go out in August and well into November, this wonderful constellation can be seen in the northeast night-sky.

But don’t wait too long! Because once it enters the western sky, it flips upside down and can no longer be seen as a mountain.

Now, this constellation is the very same constellation as the Mount of Blessing Constellation in the Valley of Decision Constellation Group. And it represents the favored mountain to which the people of God are to climb.

MULTITUDES IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION

Listen… “Multitudes, multitudes in the Valley of Decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the Valley of Decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of His people, and the strength of the children of Israel.” Joel 3:14-16

.

Now this above passage speaks of multitudes in the Valley of Decision. And if the Reader will look closely, it can be seen that a certain galaxy appears to be climbing up this Mount Zion Constellation. This galaxy is commonly known as the Andromeda Galaxy. And it is made of an estimated trillion stars, which certainly qualifies as a “multitude”!

ARISE! LET US GO UP TO ZION!

.

Now, the Bible prophesies that Mount Zion will be a much sought-after mountain in the last days.

.

Listen… “For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God….Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.” Jeremiah 31:6, 12

So here above is a veiled, allegorical language which speaks of certain day in which God’s people will all come to heavenly Zion.

SINGING UNTO ZION

Listen again, as we hear the sound of singing… “Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.” Isaiah 51:11

.

Yes, that day has now come and God is revealing this wonderful Sign Of Heaven, which appears as a beautiful diadem and an ensign in the night-heavens, sitting as a glorious city on a hill.

.

And God’s people and anyone who is tired of this sad, selfish, hateful and hopeless world are now invited to come to Zion, “the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation,” Isaiah 33:20

.

“FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS”

Matthew 24:

.

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:” Matthew 24:15, 16 

.

So the above verse is a warning to all those who are living over there in Palestine. “Flee to the mountains!”. And this photo of the mountains of Judea just might be a good place to flee to. But with today’s tracking devices, it probably wouldn’t be too long until they found you. But does this passage have a message for us Christians who are scattered elsewhere around the world? Listen once again…

HEAVENLY MOUNTAINS

.

Well, as just stated, the Lord has created a constellation which shows a woman fleeing. It is called the Revelation 12 Woman Constellation, also known as Ursa Major or The Big Dipper. So if we explore this constellation in the light of the Bible, there can be a wealth of information discovered on this very topic. So come along and dig into this study. And after reading about this heavenly revelation, you just might find yourself fleeing to the mountains. And maybe, just maybe, there are some much better mountains to flee to, than the ones in the above photo of Palestine! Mountains in which you can hide, where tacking devices and black helicopters are useless against you!

Revelation 9:

“Locusts”

Mankind has been plagued by locusts through all of history!

.

Yes, locusts and similar pests have eaten the crops of humans, destroying all the hard labor which farmers invested into their fields!

Now the Bible sometimes speaks of locusts. And this devotional is focusing particularly on the Book of Revelation, Chapter 9, which speaks of locusts in this manner… “And the fifth angel sounded…And he opened the bottomless pit…And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth…but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months…” Revelation 9:1-5 (condensed)

So this above passage from Revelation speaks of a composite beast, which arises out of the bottomless pit, and torments men who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads!

THE SPIRITUAL NATURE OF REVELATION

.

The Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is just that: the Revelation of Jesus Christ! Yes, the Book of Revelation is the Gospel, written in types and symbols!

.

And yet, far too many attempt to understand the Revelation literally, instead of spiritually. The problem is, the natural man cannot fully nor properly discern spiritual things, as is written… “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1st Corinthians 2:14

.

Yes, as this above verse reveals, the spiritual, allegorical nature of the Bible is foolishness to the carnal heart!

.

.

LOCUSTS NOT BLACK HELICOPTERS

.

And so, more often than not, the Book of Revelation is mangled into pieces by those who attempt to look out into the world for the understanding of Revelation!

.

After all, it’s much more exotic to look at locusts in Chapter 9, and try to find something out in the world that resembles locusts, such as black helicopters!

.

But when the Bible student looks into the Bible, then he or she quickly begins to understand what locusts truly symbolize!

.

Listen… “That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten.” Joel 1:4

.

As this verse reveals, God uses locusts to symbolize the varied ways in which God destroys the riches of His disobedient people: both spiritual and/or material riches!

LOCUSTS & WILD HONEY! JOHN THE BAPTIST!

.

John The Baptist, came eating “locusts and wild honey”. Yes, this was his true, physical diet! Locusts and wild honey! Oh, perhaps he ate other things as well.

.

You see, locusts and wild honey symbolize the Law and the Prophets! Yes, the law is spoken of as honey in Psalm 19. And of course, the prophets sometimes spoke of locusts as symbolizing God’s various means of eating up the earthly prosperity of His disobedient people!

.

And so, that’s what the Old Testament prophets were all about! They were given to destroy any hope in the minds of His chosen people, of seeking for, and acquiring earthly riches and desires!

.

And when John spoke, he spoke as an Old Testament prophet, with fiery words and pointing finger, completely arresting the attention of everyone who heard him!

LOCUSTS EAT OUR SPIRITUALITY

.

And isn’t it also true that so often we find that our own spirituality becomes so thin and anemic. Our prayer life wanes. Our Bible study becomes a mere formality. And our thoughts are no longer on Jesus, but become worldly and mundane!

.

God does not bring trouble upon us for no good reason! No, in His great love, He wants us to return to Him.

.

But we, in our fleshly desires, want the good things of this selfish world! And so, God finally has to remove those things which separate us from a full and rich relationship with Him!

.

THE KEYS TO UNLOCKING REVELATION

.

Yes, these are just two of the ways in which God tries to get our attention in hopes that we will begin to seek God’s face, and turn from our wicked ways!

.

And so, this is one small example of how we are to uncover the true meaning of the Revelation of Jesus Christ! And this little devotional will hopefully help the Bible student to understand just how the Bible must be studied, if one is going to rightly dissect the Word of Christ!

COMPOSITE BEAST OF REVELATION 9

Well, locusts are just one aspect of this composite beast of Revelation 9. THE HOLY GHOST RIDER CONSTELLATION

This newest Signs Of Heaven Constellation (Fall, 2013) is by far the faintest of constellations, but is a very incredible and awesome one in a number of ways (which this article will explain).

It is primarily comprised of the Camelopardalis Constellation (head and upper back), plus about 5 stars from the Cassiopeia Constellation (his leg), plus some random stars. It appears as an outline of a rider. Only the back of his head is detailed. And his back and the back of his legs are also detailed. Both sides of his arm are visible, and his hand is gripping the horses mane, and that is detailed by three stars (which are also part of the horse’s mane). The rider is in a position vaguely similar to a race-horse jockey. The two brightest stars in this constellation, are from the Cassiopeia Constellation, and are part of his leg. All the rest of the stars are very faint, and must be viewed on a very starry night.

Since this constellation has just been revealed, there may be more to this constellation in the coming months. But if you can locate the Goodly Horse in Battle Constellation, then you shouldn’t have too much trouble locating this Rider Constellation, provided you have excellent star-watching conditions.

THIS STAR-CHART: This is a Wikipedia star-chart, in which this site’s editor has sketched in these three constellation (without the Holy-Ghost-Rider Constellation). Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon. Also notice his eye is a star.It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation. It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west. The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation. The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.

There are many today who look for Anti-Christ, as if he is one individual to come upon the world-stage in these last moments of history.

.

Many suppose him to be some genius businessman.

.

Others look for some charismatic religious figure.

.

Still others are looking for a totally satanic individual.

.

But if one goes deep into God’s Word, we get a somewhat different perspective on this subject.

.

And so, today’s devotional will touch on this subject, so as to get a little more clarity as to just what or who to look for, as the coming Anti-Christ.

ANTI-CHRIST: SATAN & HIS WORLD-SYSTEM

.

There are many who mistakenly believe that the Antichrist Beast is going to be one singular individual.

.

And because they are so locked into this idea, they tend to ride rough-shod over this passage from Revelation Chapter 17, which explains what this Beast actually is…

.

Listen… “The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit…And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman (the apostate Church) sitteth. And there are seven kings…And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” Revelation 17:8-13

.

So this Antichrist Beast, which, by the way, is in the image of the Dragon of Revelation 12, is a composite of various kingdoms and various kings. This Beast seems to be more closely resembling this present world-system, headed up by that serpent of old, the Devil, and Satan, as he has controlled various kings and kingdoms over the past millenniums of time.

ANTICHRIST NOT GROTESQUE MONSTER

.

And this is what the Mark of the Beast is actually all about, when you really think about it. This present world-system, and all its loyal citizens comprise Satan’s Antichrist Beast.

.

Listen to Scripture… “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now ARE THERE MANY ANTICHRISTS; whereby we know that it is the last time.” 1st John 2:18. 

.

From this verse it becomes evident that an Antichrist is not some hideous monster. It is not some diabolical Dr. Evil. No, there are many Antichrists. And they are merely the people of this fallen world ruled over by “the god of this world”... Satan!

.

Just listen… “and this is that [spirit] of antichrist…They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.” 1st John 4:3, 5. 

.

OK, so antichrists are of the world, speak of the world, and the world listens to them.

“YE ARE OF YOUR FATHER, THE DEVIL”

John 8:44

But to this concept, (that an antichrist is merely a worldly person), many might protest, saying, “Satan doesn’t have any power in my life!” 

.

Well, just listen to this… “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” Ephesians 2:2. 

.

So by this statement, we see that the spirit of Satan, the “Prince of the Power of the Air” now works in the children of disobedience, i.e., the people of the world! And so, when we partake of a worldly spirit, we may just be partaking of the spirit of Anti-Christ.

NO MIDDLE GROUND:

.

(EITHER LOVERS OF HEAVEN OR LOVERS OF WORLD)

And just one last proof, that there are no neutral fence-sitters in this world.

.

Listen to Jesus… “He that is not with Me is against Me; and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth abroad.” Matthew 12:30. 

.

So this above verse really “spills the beans”, as they say! In other words, Jesus is revealing here that everyone in this world who is not for Christ, is against Christ! In other words if I am not pro-Christ, then I am anti-Christ!

.

And of course, there are many in the Church who, as Jesus said… “This people draw nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips; but their heart is far from Me.” Matthew 15:8.

.

ANTI-CHRIST IN THE MIRROR!

.

And so, there is really no need to look any further than one’s own mirror, when trying to discover who Anti-Christ is!

.

The Bible reveals… “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” Galatians 5:17

.

Yes, as this verse reveals, the flesh, with all its affections and lusts, is Anti-Christ in nature! The flesh is always clamoring for selfishness! And so, here is the struggle which begins, once the Spirit of God plants His seed within the human heart!

CRUCIFY THE OLD MAN

.

And once the Spirit of Holiness comes to abide within a true worshiper of God, the battle begins to crucify that Old Man of the flesh! 

.

Listen… “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the Old Man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the New Man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Ephesians 4:22-24

.

Yes, the Old Man is very Anti-Christ in nature! He must be crucified!

.

Listen… “Knowing this, that our Old Man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.” Romans 6:6, 7

.

OUR WORK IS BEFORE US!

And so, O Soldier of the Cross, we have our battle before us! We must engage in that Good Fight, which Paul spoke of! But if we are truly a child of God, then we can be assured of complete and total victory!

Listen… “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6

.

Yes, as this above verse reveals, Christ promises to bring us all the way to the finish line, in complete victory over self!

.

UNLIMITED POWER AT OUR DISPOSAL!

.

And so, perhaps instead of trying to discover who Anti-Christ is, out there in the world, we need to realize that he exists in us to the extent that we still have sin in our life! But the Bible promises that we can have complete power over the flesh and Devil.

.

Listen… “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:17-20

.

This above passage promises us victory far beyond anything we can imagine! So let’s no longer limit what God can and will do in us and through us! He can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think!

Now that’s quite a precious promise! Wouldn’t you agree?

A STAR & SCEPTER ARISES IN THE NIGHT SKY

.

“Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.” Psalms 45:6

.

 

Now, this 3rd brightest star in the night heavens, Arcturus, seems to very nicely fulfill the prophecy, “there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel” Numbers 24:17. But where would the scepter be in this prophecy? After all, it speaks not only of a star rising, but also of a scepter.

NOT THE NORTHERN OR SOUTHERN CROSS

.

This is not the Northern Cross, nor is it the Southern Cross. This cross is made of stars from both the Serpens Constellation and the Ophiuchus Constellation. Here is a star-chart from Wikipedia, in which the editor of this site has sketched in this Cross/Scepter Constellation. The stars in this star-chart are accurately placed, and this Cross/Scepter Constellation stands out in brilliance, among the other stars in the night sky.

The sketch below is the Summer Constellations, as seen when looking west. Well, if you look just to the south (south is to the left in this sketch) of Arcturus, you will see what appears to be a scepter. But this scepter also appears as a Cross. And this constellation has been named, the Cross/Scepter constellation. It can be seen in January, in the pre-dawn hours. Each night, it appears a little earlier, as it slowly inches its way westward. Finally this constellation dips below the western horizon, in the fall, not appearing again till January, back in the eastern sky. 

.

Now, as earlier stated, this wonderful prophecy (“there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel”) has its greatest fulfillment in the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Jesus is represented by that glorious Star. And His death on the Cross is truly His scepter of authority. Jesus died to save a world of rebellious sinners.
