THE NARROW WAY: THE PILGRIM’S PATHWAY

.

That world-shaking allegory, Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan, picked up the theme of the Narrow Gate. The hero of the story was Christian, a man who was warned to flee from the City of Destruction (the world), and to embark on a journey to the Heavenly City. And along the way, Christian encountered many adventures and dangers. This first-of-its-kind allegorical book absolutely rocked the western world, and became perhaps the first million seller book (along with the Bible).

But God has also given this same Narrow Way parable in the night heavens! Incredible? Yes, incredible…and amazing too!

THE NARROW WAY OR THE BROAD WAY

.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13, 14

Remember when Jesus urged us to enter into the Narrow Gate, in Matthew 7:13, 14?

.

Well, this site reveals an incredible constellation group, which tells the Gospel Love Story. And just before this story ends its yearly cycle, it presents a climactic finale, in which the Revelation 12 Woman swerves toward the Narrow Gate Stars.

ORION’S GATE (THE NARROW GATE)

.

There is another, remarkable aspect to the Orion Phenomena, which has to do with Orion the Reaper. This is best seen when the winter Bible Constellations are in the west. if one stands, facing west, when Orion, the Dragon and the Glorious Horse are beginning to sink into the western horizon, that there are two bright stars in Orion’s sickle. And there are two bright stars in the Dragon’s wave of water coming out of his mouth. And the two bright stars in Orion’s sickle is about half the width apart as the two bright stars in the Dragon’s wave of water. What makes this so dramatic is that the Revelation 12 Woman looks as if she is veering towards Orion’s two bright stars.

And so, it now appears that this scenario is a picture of that well-known passage that Jesus spoke, concerning the Narrow Gate & the Wide Gate… “Enter ye in at the strait (or  ‘narrow’) gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait (narrow) is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”  Matthew 7:13, 14

.

Now when this constellation group is still in the east, it is not so evident that this Woman is heading for Orion’s sickle. But when they are in the west it now becomes very evident that she is veering toward the Narrow Gate. So this makes a wonderful finale to this Gospel Story written in the sky.

CASTOR & POLLUX & THE MYSTERY SHIP OF THE BIBLE

.

“And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.” Acts 28:11 

.

Now if this is not remarkable enough already, there is one more incredible phenomenon attached to this. The two bright stars in Orion’s sickle happen to be Castor & Pollux of Gemini fame.

.

Now what’s so remarkable about this you ask?

.

Well, in order to understand this, one needs only turn to the Book of Acts, Chapters 27, and 28. There it is told, the story of two ships. In Chapter 27, it speaks of the first ship that was supposed to take Paul to Rome to be tried before Caesar. In essence, this was Paul’s Judgment Day. But the ship didn’t make it to Rome. It became destroyed on an island and had to be abandoned. So everyone on the ship had to make it to shore. Then after three months, they all got on a ship from Alexandria, whose sign was Castor and Pollux. From there they were all delivered safely to Rome, where Paul was eventually tried and executed.

From all the Biblical language in this story, and because all the stories in Scripture are metaphorical in nature, we must conclude that this story is a prophecy concerning the Church. Matthew Henry, that most notable and highly popular  theologian likewise saw the first ship as representing the Church.

.

So the question is, if the first ship represented the Church, then just what did the second ship represent? Well isn’t it interesting that the second ship had the sign of Castor and Pollux? And isn’t it interesting that those two stars, Castor and Pollux, represent the Narrow Gate in Orion’s reaper’s sickle?

LOCATING THIS GROUP…

.

These two sketches below are the same picture, one with stars only, the other with embellishments. These stars appear more or less like this when they are in the western sky, just before they sink below the western horizon (please excuse the less-than 100% accurate sketch). At the top of the sketches in the center is the Big Dipper. But with other surrounding stars, the Big Dipper is known as Ursa Major or the Great Bear. But as this website points out, Ursa Major is actually the Revelation 12 Woman. (Ursa Major appears much larger in the sky than this sketch shows. But in order to fit her into this drawing, the artist had to depict her much smaller)

IN THE WEST 

.

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter, and even into June at the beginning of night. It is seen best when it is the western part of the sky. Orion, the Dragon, and the Glorious Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon. And at this point it is apparent that the Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the Narrow Gate Stars as you can see just to the left of the mountain. A dark night is best for seeing this. It begins with the Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation going towards these two doors. The doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the Wide Gate Stars (to the right of the mountain) are the two brightest stars of the Wave of Water (AKA Auriga Constellation) that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the Narrow Gate are about one-third less the width of the Wide Gate. The two bright stars which symbolize the Wide Gate are Capella and Menkalinan. Eternal Torment?

In the last two devotionals (click here), was presented the first two components necessary for properly understanding any of the deeper, more hidden truths of the Bible, specifically this notion that God eternally torments all unbelievers!

.

And why is this question considered to be “deeper and more hidden”? After all, those who believe in the so-called “Eternal Torment” theory do not call this deep, nor hidden, nor even a theory! No rather, they say that it’s a plain and obvious doctrine!

.

And this is the big problem! For some reason, proponents of this doctrine cannot see beyond the verses which seem to confirm the idea that God eternally torments all those who go to their grave unsaved! And they ignore the verses which speak of Hell as being the grave.

TWO SIDES OF THE SAME STORY

.

But, as was discussed yesterday, there are some Bible doctrines which God, for His own purposes, has made cloudy, by writing seemingly opposing verses in the Bible. And so, if a person only looks at the verses which seem to confirm this doctrine of “Eternal Torment”, then it would seem to be a clear-cut case for this long-held traditional church-doctrine.

.

But just like any court case, both sides of the argument must be properly presented, so that the true balance can be weighed. And this argument about the true nature of Hell just happens to be one of those issues which requires much prayer and study and consecration to God, so that we might get to the bottom of this perplexing issue!

ADDING/DIMINISHING FROM GOD’S WORD

.

The Bible warns against adding or diminishing from God’s Word, And those who refuse to examine any doctrine in the light of ALL that Scripture has to offer concerning that doctrine just might be guilty of diminishing from God’s Word. And by coming up with a new (false) doctrine, they may also be guilty of adding to God’s Word.

.

But Scripture warns against doing such a fearful deed…

.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book,

If any man shall add unto these things,

God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,

God shall take away his part out of the book of life,

and out of the holy city,

and from the things which are written in this book.”

Revelation 22:18

BIBLE, A HOTLY-DEBATED BOOK!

And this brings us to the third component necessary to rightly dividing the Word of Truth!

.

And just what is the third ingredient in achieving true understanding of the more cloudy issues of the Bible?

.

Meekness! Yes, it requires meekness to properly understand much of the Bible!

.

Oh yes, there are truths which are made as clear as the noonday sun! Such doctrines as Christ’s divinity and crucifixion, just to name two! But even these are oft-times confused by some Christian groups!

.

THE MEEK SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH!

.

And so, the Christian must be filled with the Spirit of meekness. All human pride must be purged from the heart of the Christian, before that soul can be easily led by the Good Shepherd!

.

Listen… “…but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at My Word.” Isaiah 66:2

.

LET’S NOT BE SO DOGMATIC!

.

And so, as the last ingredient to proper Bible study, meekness is a very important one! And of course, we know and understand that meekness, just like any other virtue, is a gift of God, via His Holy Spirit indwelling our heart!

.

Oh yes, it’s quite okay to say, “I believe ‘this or that’ particular church doctrine to be true”. But when it comes to such seemingly ambiguous portions of Scripture, such as “predestination” or “The True Nature of Hell”, it might be best to not get so dogmatic!

.

And maybe we might just be forthright and say… “You know, there are differing positions on that heavily debated issue, and each Bible student must carefully and prayerfully study for his or her own self, and come to their own conclusion on that particular subject!”

MANY REJECTED GOD OVER THIS DOCTRINE

.

And let’s face it! There have been many souls through history, who have turned away in disgust from following Jesus, because of the church doctrine of “Eternal Torment”.

.

So, that fact alone makes it much more critical to “make full proof” of whatever we teach, so that we do not suffer the “greater damnation” on the Day of Judgment!

.

.

.

.

.

MEEKNESS REQUIRED IN THE LAST TEST

.

The Book of Zephaniah reveals that meekness will be required for one to be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger.

.

Listen…“Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.”  Zephaniah 2:3  

.

There is much too much hard-headedness in today’s church-world. Too much forceful, dogmatic preaching by radio/television ministries!

.

And as a result, God’s people must seek to become as little children in their seeking after the present-day Bible truths now being revealed.

.

And truth-be-told, this website is an excellent exercise in meekness, since so much written herein requires the meekness of a “Noble Berean” to study daily with a prayerful and meek, open mind, to see if these things are really true!

7 STARS IMITATE THE CROSS OF ORION

.

LOCATING THESE TWO CONSTELLATIONS

.

This phenomenon begins in October, in the pre-dawn hours. It then begins a little earlier each night.

.

This Wikipedia star-chart to the left, has this Orion Constellation sketched in. You must locate Orion, when it is mid-sky, between east and west. You’ll be facing southward most likely, unless you are far south. Try to imagine it as a Cross on a steep hill. The 3-star belt of Orion becomes the crest of the hill. The 3 very faint stars that make up Orion’s head become the very top of the Cross.

.

Next, locate the 7 Stars Constellation. This 7 Stars Constellation is seen by facing northward. It stands upright a little later in the night. Eventually, Orion will lay down and no longer be seen as an uplifted Cross! Beginning in November, the 7 Stars (AKA Big Dipper) can be seen as a Cross a little bit later in evening.

When you are comfortable in locating Orion & The 7 Stars Constellations, then show a friend. This can be a great witnessing tool!

Eternal Torment?

Have you ever been on a jury? Well, if you have, then perhaps you have discovered how convincing it is, to hear just one side of the case. In other words, when you only hear one side of the story, it almost seems like an open-and-shut case, doesn’t it?

.

But then comes the hour when the defense begins their presentation! Then comes the moment when there begins to be a balance struck! Yes, just like this photo with Lady Justice holding her scales, representing the weight of evidence from both sides, tipping the scales one way or the other.

SOME DEEPER TRUTHS NOT SO CLEAR

.

Well, God has written much of the Bible in the very same way! Oh no, the truths concerning the basic plan of Salvation are clear enough, so that none need stumble.

.

But other truths, such as the exact nature of Hell have not been made so clear. And God has purposely done this. Yes, God has given some passages which seem to support this church-doctrine called “Eternal Torment”. And yet many other passages seem to support the doctrine which the Bible often refers to as “sleep”.

.

And so, in order to properly understand the true nature of Hell, a serious Bible student must examine all the related passages, and attempt to be “rightly dividing the Word of Truth”.

YESTERDAY’S DEVOTIONAL: BORN AGAIN

.

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” John 3:6, 7

.

In yesterday’s devotional (click here), it was discussed about the three-step process to discovering the truth concerning the nature of Hell. And the very first step in discovering the deeper truths of the Bible is to make sure that one is not still living in the flesh. You see, unless one is truly “Born Again”, he or she cannot know the deeper truths of the Bible.

“LOVE OF THE TRUTH”

.

Now the second step in discovering hidden Bible truth is to have a love for truth, which causes that truth-seeker to desire, above all things, the truth!

.

But love for truth is a gift of God, and does not occur naturally.

.

Listen… “And then shall that Wicked be revealed…Even him, whose coming…And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2nd Thessalonians 2:8-12

.

As this above passage reveals, all those who still love this present world, will be deluded when they attempt to understand the Bible!

.

And so, we must accomplish the first step, before we can accomplish this second step! And what is the second step?

.

SEEMINGLY OPPOSING VERSES

.

The second step is to realize that this question regarding the nature of Hell is complicated, because God has given many seemingly opposing scriptures about the nature of Hell. And it is only when we are willing to let go of our cherished traditional understanding, and begin to explore all these different passages in the Bible, that we now begin to see the truth!

.

But of course, when you attend a Bible study on the nature of Hell, you will mostly notice an overwhelming bias in what is being taught. In other words, the teacher is more desirous to convince his pupils of his own church interpretation, than he is with laying out all sides of the issue on the table, and allow his students to see all the relevant passages.

.

So here is the crux of the problem! Do Bible teachers love their cherished church traditions more than they love truth? Well, one thing is for sure: and as already revealed in this devotional, the love of truth is the gift of God.

KEEP DOCTRINE PURE

.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure…” Philippians 4:8

.

And so, this second step in discovering the true nature of Hell, can be concisely said to be the gathering of all related Bible passages, and rejecting all non-biblical terminology which gives a false balance to the scales of truth!

.

WOMAN FLEEING TO NARROW GATE

.

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story). Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).

.

And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch to left). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

.

This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark). While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions. It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch below left).

So, do you have any loved ones who you suspect are being tormented right now in Hell? Perhaps an aunt or uncle or friend, who died without surrendering his or her life to Christ?

Does this idea make you wonder if God is not as merciful as we are told by our present-day Bible teachers? Do you have trouble reconciling the merciful Jesus with an angry God who will cast all lost souls into a subterranean torture chamber, for all time and eternity?

JESUS & HIS ANGELS WATCHING!?!

And how could Jesus and all His holy angels endure watching this unspeakable horror for all eternity, as is written… “…and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb”?

This seems just too unimaginable to be true! This would make eternal life much too sad for the redeemed! How could loving, merciful Jesus and all His angels begin to watch and endure all this torment and suffering, day after day, year after year, century after century, for all the ions of time and eternity?

WHERE’S THE “GOOD NEWS”?

.

So, what’s the Good News if 90% or more of the people of this world will be roasting in flames of fire for all eternity? Oh well, the fortunate few will be flying around God’s throne. But myriad more lost souls will be tormented day and night for all eternity!

.

So just how are we lucky ones who have been given hearts overflowing with love and sympathy, supposed to enjoy the serenity of heavenly bliss, knowing that our loved ones are being tortured, as they continually plead for God’s mercy? And how is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are the very epitome of love and tender compassion, supposed to endure all that suffering for all eternity?

Doesn’t make much sense, does it?

MANY HARD THINGS

.

Here’s the problem. God wrote the Bible, not always to be easily understood. Oh yes, everything necessary for Salvation has been made as clear as the noonday Sun! But many other things are very difficult to be understood, “which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” 2nd Peter 3:16

.

Yes, God has forewarned us that the Bible is often very difficult. And the true nature of Hell is one of those doctrines which has caused much confusion and disagreement among theologians.

A THREE-FOLD PROCESS TO TRUTH

.

But there is a way to get to the bottom of all this! Yes, there is perhaps a three-step process in getting to the truth concerning the true nature of Hell. And if the Reader can carefully follow this three-step plan, then he or she will not only be able to find the truth concerning this doctrine, but also be able to solve many of the other perplexing doctrines found in God’s Word.

FIRST STEP: REPENT, PLEAD & SURRENDER

The first step one must take is to become a true child of God. And herein lies the reason for so much of the confusion in the church world!

Listen… “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1st Corinthians 2:14

.

Well, most people in the church world understand that not everyone in church is a true-worshipper. And so, these must rely on what their church leaders tell them, because they cannot understand that spiritual Book, the Bible.

HOW TO ESCAPE

Now here’s the very Good News! There is a remedy for all this! We do not have to be prisoners of sin! Christ came to open the doors of the prison-house of Satan! Yes, He died for the sins of the world, and He calls out to anyone and everyone… “go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in Heaven: and come and follow Me.” Matthew 19:21

EARTH: PLANET OF REST

Counting the Sun as the 1st heavenly sphere, the Earth is the 4th heavenly sphere. If we extend our theory (and it’s just a theory) that God created our solar system to correspond to the commandments, the Sun corresponding to the 1st Commandment, then Planet Earth would correspond to the 4th Commandment: the Seventh-day Sabbath.

 .

And so, on the very planet that corresponds to the commandment that exalts the idea of “peace” and “rest”, there exists very little peace. And very little rest. Ironic, isn’t it?

And so the 4th member of our solar system, being Planet Earth, will be the host for this article.

Rollie-Pollie Bug Christians!

In yesterday’s devotional (click here to read), a familiar little bug was showcased. Scientists have named this insect, “Armadillidiidae”. Nevertheless, this cute little bug is commonly referred to as, the “The Rollie-Pollie Bug”, and by others as a, “Doodle Bug”, or sometimes even as a, “Pill Bug”.

.

Well, which ever name you call it, the fact is, God has given this little bug a little coat of armor. So then, when confronted by an assailant, this little bug simply curls up into a little ball, and is now totally protected by his coat of armor!

.

Well, yesterday, this little bug was used as a picture of how a Christian can all but curl up by his or her own self, and hide in God’s Secret Hiding Place.

.

And as that Christian pulls the covers over and begins to pray in secret to God, the following verse from Psalms is fulfilled… “commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.” Psalm 4:4

.

Yes, the Rollie-Pollie bug has been created by God to give us encouragement to curl up with God, during our times of trouble!

PULLING DOWN THE SHADES

.

Now this curling up with God brings to mind a story which a radio minister of yesteryear told about somebody he knew who was an officer in the military.

.

And as the story goes, this military officer, at times, had the unpleasant duty of having to attend parties at the Officer’s Club, in which drinking and other similar behavior was going on. And being a Christian, this officer did not participate in the less-than-wholesome activities. But he was nevertheless required to attend these occasions, and witness things that Christians are warned to flee from!

.

Well, one day, another Christian asked this Christian officer how he could “put up with all that ungodly behavior?” Well, this Christian officer replied, “You see, when I get there, I just pull down the shades and get alone with God!”

.

Well, whether he knew it or not, this military officer was truly being a, “Rollie-Pollie Bug Christian”! When in such unwholesome circumstances, he just “pulled down the shades”, so to speak, and got alone with God! Definitely a Rollie-Pollie Bug Christian!

.

You see, this big strong military officer could say, along with David… “Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of Thy wings, From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about. They are enclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.” Psalm 17:8-10

.

CURLED UP WITH GOD

.

Now this radio Bible teacher was not telling this story to encourage any Christians that it’s somehow okay to go into drinking parties! No, if this officer had voluntarily gone, he would have had no blessing from God! He would have found it all but impossible to, “pull down the shades and get alone with God”.

.

But isn’t it true, that in this work-a-day world, there are many times when a Christian needs to just “pull down the shades and get alone with God?” Yes, just like that military man, we often find that we must curl up with God and hide ourselves from the corruption which often sweeps over us like a flood!

.

And just as the Psalmist wrote… “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in His tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD…Thou art my hiding place…Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.” Psalm 27:5, 6 & 32:7

.

There are so many times and places in this Babylonish world, that the Christian must, spiritually speaking, curl up in a little ball, and let his or her shield of faith become the shell around them. Just like that little bug, with his coat of armor as a protection!

PLACES OF PRAYER

.

Maybe in a store, when the magazines at the checkout isle are glamorizing sin and sinners, we might pull out our little pocket Testament and read a passage!

.

Or when the air is filled with ungodly music at some place of business, we must roll up (figuratively, not literally), and begin silently praying!

.

Or perhaps down at the office, the sights and sounds and all the ungodly conversations necessitate that we simply curl up into a little ball, and let our Christian armor and shield of faith protect us!

.

FAMILY GET-TOGETHERS

.

There may be some family get-together, in which we really would love to get up and walk away from all the ungodly behavior all around us! And so, like that Christian military officer, we must “pull down the shades and get alone with God!”

.

Oh yes, when we attend such occasions, we can quietly attend, and be as light and accommodating as possible. Maybe we might find someone who is all by themselves, and go and converse, trying to make them feel at ease, as best we can. Or maybe we can help with the dishes, or some other task, attempting to relieve the workload of the host.

.

In other words, there are ways in which we can let our light shine, and be the fragrance of Christ in some unpretentious way.

.

OUR HIDING PLACE, TOO!

.

All who are persecuted may find refuge and safety from Satan’s cruel hand.

.

Our true “hiding place” is the place of secret prayer and quiet trust and confidence in Him, coupled with the joyful contemplation of His “exceeding great and precious promises”, so that we may say along with the Psalmist…

.

“Thou art my hiding place; Thou shalt preserve me from trouble; Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.” Psalm 32:7

THE NARROW WAY: THE PILGRIM’S PATHWAY

.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

.

That world-shaking allegory, Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan, picked up the theme of the Narrow Gate. The hero of the story was Christian, a man who was warned to flee from the City of Destruction (the world), and to embark on a journey to the Heavenly City. And along the way, Christian encountered many adventures and dangers. This first of its kind allegorical book absolutely rocked the western world, and became perhaps the first million seller book (along with the Bible).

.

But God has also given this same Narrow Way parable in the night heavens! Incredible? Yes, incredible…and amazing too! And though these two stars can hardly be considered a constellation, but when sitting next to the two stars which comprise the Broad Gate, well, it makes a powerful statement, for the people of God.

.

So please come along on this journey and find out just why this pathway graces the night heavens, and perhaps you might find yourself embarking on your own pilgrimage up that very same Narrow pathway.

LOCATION

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story). Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).

.

And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch to left). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

.

This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark). While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions. It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

Are you a Rollie-Pollie Bug Christian?

.

Well are you?

.

Are you one of those Christians who respond to all the troubles which assail you, by simply curling up into a little ball, and hiding in God’s Secret Hiding Place?

.

Do you sometimes just pull your covers over you and hide yourself in God’s protective shell which He surrounds you with?

.

Do you just roll yourself up in a little ball and pray to Him? Do you just close out the world and listen to some quiet music, or maybe a Bible reading?

.

Well, if you are one of those types, then you are definitely a Rollie-Pollie Bug Christian! That’s for sure!

.

But that’s not necessarily a bad thing! You see, a “Rollie Pollie Bug” is one of those little garden bugs who wears a little coat of armor. And when threatened or attacked, this little bug simply curls up into a little ball, and surrounds itself with its coat of armor!

THOU ART MY HIDING PLACE!

And so, what does God say about Rollie-Pollie Bug Christians?

.

Well listen… “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock. Unfortunately there are many who are pressed down by so many duties that they cannot enjoy just curling up in God’s secret Hiding Place! They just don’t know what a strong shield their blanket becomes, as they pull them over themselves, and close themselves in with God! If only such strong and busy ones would realize just how weak they really are, then maybe they would finally understand the joy of simply hiding themselves in God’s Secret Hiding Place!

WHEN I’M WEAK, THEN I’M STRONG!

. 

Well, we who are Rollie-Pollie Bug Christians need to curl up and pray for all those busy, busy multi-taskers, that they too, might give up all that busy-ness and also learn to hide themselves in God’s Secret Hiding Place too!

.

Listen… “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2nd Corinthians 12:10

.

Now here is a statement by the Apostle, Paul, the very one who is reputed to be the strongest of all Christians in the Bible! And yet, Paul knew how easy it is to begin to rely upon our own strength. But with all his many afflictions, he was reduced to weakness, causing him to cease from his own strength, and begin to depend upon the Lord!

BEING STRONG IN ANTICHRIST!

The people of the world do not understand that the only reason they seem to be strong, is that “the god of this world”, Lucifer, has empowered them to do his bidding! Yes, Satan is that… “prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”

And so, the people of this world go on in their self-deception, ignoring what God’s Word has to say about their service and worship of “that great Dragon, Satan, which deceives the whole world!”

Listen to David…Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie…” Psalm 62:9

THE CHILDREN OF PRIDE

.

Listen to the Psalmist as he complains about unbelievers… “For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment. Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.” Psalm 73:3-7 . 

.

Yes, the lost ones of this world seem strong, while God’s people are “plagued, and chastened every morning” Verse 14. But all this is merely a mirage: a deception which shall have its final culmination, with a great big turnabout!

Yes, this Psalm 73 goes on to tell of their final end… “…Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. THE DAWNING OF THE DAY!

And so, dear child of weakness, just be content to know that your present condition is not your permanent condition. In just a little while, the Lord will come as the rising of the Sun. And His Word will fill your soul, as the light of morning! And at that time, you will rise up from your curled-up condition, and stand up in Christ’s strength. And no more will you be afflicted with all the sorrow and sickness which presently plagues God’s people!

THE MOST HOLY PLACE

.

“LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?” Psalm 15:1

The above passage asks a very odd question: “…who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?” Psalm 15:1. Now why would God ask such a ridiculous question? After all, for most of the past 2,000 years, the temple lay in ruins. So how can a Christian abide in God’s tabernacle?

THE ARK

.

The Ark of the Covenant was the centerpiece of the tabernacle sanctuary, during the years of the wilderness wanderings of the children of Israel, prior to their entering into the Promised Land. 

.

The Signs Of Heaven presents a constellation, seen in the summer skies, which represents the Ark of the Covenant. There is also a constellation which represents the Golden Altar in the winter skies, which likewise was in that same tabernacle. But just what is the relevance of all this?

PROPHECY RIGHTLY INTERPRETED, VERY RELEVANT

Well, let’s explore just how the Christian can fulfill all these Biblical concepts. Because God wrote the Bible in such a way, so that all these things can and will be very relevant to each and every Christian. But in order to fully understand these concepts, the Scripture must be rightly divided (correctly interpreted). But this article will attempt to lay the foundation of these wonderful and awesome concepts.

THE HOLY AND MOST HOLY PLACE

“And thou shalt put the Mercy Seat upon the Ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place.” Exodus 26:34

.

The Tabernacle in the wilderness was a picture of God. Just listen to Revelation… “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” Revelation 21:22. 

.

So, instead of dwelling upon all the fine points of the earthly tabernacle, let it suffice to be said, this earthly tabernacle is merely a metaphor of God Himself. And the Most Holy Place is the heart of that temple, and upon the Ark, represents God’s throne, as is written…

.

“And David arose…to bring up from thence, the ark of God…the LORD of hosts that dwells between the cherubims.” 2nd Samuel 6:2.

.

So, if, as it states here, that God dwells “between the cherubims”, then this is speaking of the Mercy Seat over the Ark. But even though it speaks thus, we need to keep in mind that the temple itself, represents God Himself, as is written… “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” Rev. 21:22.

ARK SEEN IN HEAVEN

“And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.”  Rev. 11:19

The above verse from Revelation, speaks of God’s Temple in Heaven being opened. But this great constellation, the  Sagittarius Constellation  is actually the constellation of the Ark of the Covenant. So these two events go hand in hand simultaneously. The Ark Constellation, as sketched into this Wikipedia star-chart, is a representation of the heavenly Ark, as God begins to open up the spiritual concepts of that true Ark to our minds.

It’s so sad to see the nations, in both America and Europe, beginning to crumble under the same judgment as Sodom & Gomorrah. And these were the very nations who once received the Gospel with such love and dedication! Yes, to this very day, the remnant of Christian values are barely lingering. And yet, these nations, including America, are falling quickly into the bottomless pit of sin and moral degeneracy!

It’s so sad! They just didn’t know what they had! Now God has washed His hands of these nations, giving them over to the same sins which overthrew Sodom & Gomorrah!

SATAN’S OWN COUNTER-REFORMATION

Yes, Satan had his own version of the Counter-Reformation, as he doused those nation’s holy zeal under a flood of materialism and opulence! And just as that same opulence and decadence swept over Sodom and Gomorrah, so too, these decadent nations of Europe and America are now reaping the whirlwind!

Jesus said… “So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.” Matthew 20:16.

And now, many are weeping to see these formerly great societies being destroyed by Satan, giving themselves over to decadence, crime, and immorality!

1st BEAST’S DEADLY WOUND HEALED!

Yes, those nations were the first to really embrace the Gospel, as they finally saw the Beast receive his deadly wound by God’s glittering sword, the Bible. Oh yes, those European printing presses began churning out Bibles by the thousands. And the apostate churches of Europe could no longer keep the great masses in spiritual ignorance. And there was a season of rejoicing over most all of the European nations. Christianity had triumphed over the Beast of Revelation 13. That evil Beast which persecuted anyone who loved the Bible.

But alas, that deadly wound was slowly healed. And it was time for the 2nd Beast, the False Prophet to bring in that flood of opulence and decadence, which swept over those liberated nations. And soon, the joy of the Gospel began to wane, as Europeans and Americans began to rejoice over material prosperity, much the same way they once rejoiced over the Gospel!

OPULENCE & DECADENCE

Yes, this 2nd Beast stole away the pure rejoicing in Jesus Christ, and replaced it with a fervor for the things of the earth! That is why the Bible states that this 2nd Beast rose up from the earth! Yes, the earth, and all it produced, became the worst enemy for those Gospel nations. 

.

Listen… “Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.” Proverbs 30:7-9

Yes, this above passage from Proverbs seems to encapsulate what happened in Europe. You see, the 1st Beast made life depleted by means of a flood of stark austerity.

But the 2nd Beast did just the opposite, by flooding us with more than the heart could wish! So much so, that we are now denying Jesus.

APOSTASY NOW COMING INTO FULL

So now, those nations who were the first to joyfully receive the Gospel, are now losing everything God once blessed them with. And now, those who are last, in the third-world nations are receiving the Gospel, while Europe and America are losing the Gospel. Oh yes, there are prosperity-driven gospels which are thriving here in America. But these are merely the itching-ears gospels which Paul forewarned would eventually bring the church-world into utter apostasy!

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2nd Timothy 4:3, 4

So what are we to do? What are we to say to an angry, yet merciful God?

Here are the words that we are to say… “the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of His fierce anger…Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up.” Jeremiah 1:12 & Hosea 6:1

NEW TESTAMENT ROYAL PRIESTHOOD

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation,” 1st Peter 2:9

Let each of us remember that we have been elected to be priests of the Lord. And now, the Book of Joel commands us… “Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God. Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD. Yes, the Day of the lord has come like a thief in the night! And we have been caught sleeping when we should be watching!

But God is a merciful God! Listen to Joel again… “Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth Him of the evil. Who knoweth if He will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?” Joel 2:12-14

THE THIRD MOUNTAIN…CHOICE ‘C’…

.

“Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.” Jeremiah 51:25   

.

These three mountains are called “The Valley of Decision Constellation Group”. The first two mountains on the left in this sketch are known are the Mounts of Blessing and Cursing, as found in Deuteronomy 27:11-26 & Chapter 28. The valley between these two mountains is called the Valley of Decision, as is written… “Multitudes, multitudes in the Valley of Decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the Valley of Decision.” Joel 3:14. The Valley of Decision is not a physical place, but a spiritual valley in which each person of the world will make up his or her mind, as to just whom they will serve: God or Satan; God’s kingdom or this world (Satan’s kingdom). From the Mount of Blessing are heard all the blessings which result from serving God. From the Mount of Cursing are heard all the curses which result from disobedience to God’s will. And those in the valley will listen to both sides, and make up their minds, just who will they serve. A very simple choice, right? Wrong!

COUNTERFEIT KINGDOM

.

Now that this basic concept of the first two mountains (Blessings & Cursing) has been presented, it is time to take note of this third mountain; a counterfeit mountain. Oh yes, such a simple choice of life or death is just far too easy for the Dragon (Satan) to accept. No, Satan’s main deception in this world is to create a counterfeit “look-alike” alternatives; attractive choices. Satan really knows how to complicate and confuse the simplicity of the Gospel. Hence the name, Babylon, which means “City of Confusion” (Isaiah 24:10). A perfect and fitting name for Satan’s kingdom!

.

In Jeremiah 51:25, Babylon is referred to as “O Destroying Mountain”. It is the name of this counterfeit mountain. It is Satan’s kingdom, made up of all Satan’s followers, both humans and evil angels. Satan’s kingdom also includes this fallen world, with all its governments and ideologies. It is that great city…Babylon the Great! The world! Satan’s prison-house!

SATAN: KING OF BABYLON

.

Also, in Isaiah, the King of Babylon is referred to as Satan… “That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon… the golden city ceased! How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!…” Isaiah 14:4, 12. So here it says that Lucifer, the fallen angel is called the King of Babylon. And this King of Babylon, Lucifer is called in 2nd Corinthians, “the god of this world”. So the world itself is Lucifer’s kingdom. Babylon.

THE VALLEY OF DECISION CONSTELLATION GROUP. They appear in mid-summer in the eastern skies in pre-dawn hours. These are made of Cassiopeia (mount on left), and various stars from the Andromeda Constellation (valley) Pegasus (Mount of Cursing (middle mount) & Destroying Mount (right)), and Pisces (Broad Way to Hell). The galaxy which appears to be climbing the Mountain of Blessing is the Andromeda Galaxy.

This chart shows this amazing constellation group as it appears in fall, just prior to the winter constellation group. Actually, these Valley of Decision Constellations appear in mid-summer after midnight. The mountain to the left (AKA Cassiopeia) is the Mount of Blessing (Grace). The middle mountain is the Mount of Cursing (the Law). And the third mountain to the far right is the Destroying Mountain (Babylon). The straight line from the Destroying Mountain to the Dragon is called the Broad Highway to Hell.

Christian “Cool”!

.

A growing phenomenon began to rise up in this society in the early Twentieth Century, or perhaps even earlier. It was called being “Modern” in those early years. It was the ideology that in order to be relevant, one had to be trendy or fashionable. And our society immediately locked itself onto this ideology and was commandeered by the “god of this world” into a downward spiral from that time forward!

.

Yes, everything in society became subject to this unwritten law of conformity by fashion! The music we listened to, the clothing we wore. The trendy speech we spoke. The places we went. The cars we drove. The drinks we drank. The cigarettes we smoked.

.

Everything became dictated by some unseen “Overlord”, who told us just what is “hip”, and what is not “hip”! And these societal dogmas and maxims were imposed upon us via television, radio, magazines, and eventually Internet!

THE YOUNG, SATAN’S SPECIAL TARGETS!

And of course, this powerful ideology of “what is hip & cool”, found its most loyal adherents among the younger segment of society, as they scrambled to find some sort of proud identity for themselves among their peers.

.

Well, as the decades progressed, this ideology of “being fashionable” changed with each passing decade, making the trends of the former decade obsolete! Oh yes, the retail industry loved all this planned obsolescence, since they could sell the newest fashions, the latest model of automobile, the most popular resort, the trendiest furniture, the newest colors in décor. And the peoples of the western nations became willing slaves and anxious devotees to this ideology of being “cool”.

“COOL” ENTERS THE CHURCH!

.

And of course, the Church eventually fell into this same notion, that in order to be relevant, we too had to be “cool and hip”! And so, fashionability found its way into the Church of God! Oh yes, we were decades late in hopping aboard this bandwagon of “being cool!” But by the end of the Twentieth Century, the western churches were fully on-board with this societal train taking us further and further down into moral decadence into the spiritual abyss. 

.

Yes, reverent hymns were replaced with drums, guitars, sensual crooners & sexy-sirens, throbbing bass guitars, and all the while trying to somehow incorporate quasi-Christian lyrics into the midst of all this very earthy and sensual music.

.

“Ministers of righteousness” also got on-board, by discarding their suits and ties, and instead, now donning un-buttoned sport-shirts, designer clothes, and a monologue combining stand-up comic humor, “coolness”, along with motivational-speaker dynamics!

APOSTATE CHURCHES THRIVING!

.

And so, because the vast majority of church-goers already had a self-imposed indoctrination via their own television and radio etc., at home, it took little effort by the spirit of Anti-Christ to sell the church parishioners on this idea of introducing, “cutting-edge”, relevance into the church-world! And let’s face it! This new church-trendiness had an appeal among our young people, and kept them from leaving the Church!

.

Well, to a certain degree all this did actually succeed in keeping the youth in the Church. And by combining this “Christian Coolness” with the prosperity-driven gospels, the churches thrived like never before! Yes, the leaders of this movement could easily fill up stadiums full of enthusiastic audiences. And throw in a little dose of “socialism” disguised as Agape Love, and it became the near-perfect counterfeit gospel!

JESUS: THE SAME, FOREVER!

.

But the great spoiler to all this came, whenever the true Jesus was held up against this clever counterfeit, “Christian-Cool” version of the Gospel. Yes, if this compromised gospel was compared to the Holy Son of God, then it began to appear in all its UN-holiness. And the light shining from the nail-pierced hands of Jesus exposed the darkness of this modern-day sophistry by His Satanic Majesty! 

.

The Bible declares… “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8. 

.

There is nothing trendy nor fashionable about Jesus Christ. There is no joking and jesting nor any irreverence in God’s Word. It is totally serious! It is totally reverent! And even though popular preachers wanted to make to themselves a God who likes to joke and jest, the fact is, the Bible is completely void of all such nonsense, and had to be twisted by religious spin-doctors in order to morph Christianity into something that it was not!

SATAN: THE ULTIMATE “COOL”!

.

We live in a world which is greatly under the authority, of “the god of this world”, Satan (2nd Corinthians 4:4). And the inhabitants of this world are under the control of the, “prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” Ephesians 2:2. Yes, the spirit of Anti-Christ is merely the worldly spirit which controls the minds of this unbelieving world.

.

Listen… “They (Anti-Christs) are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.” 1st John 4:5

.

And so, by bringing such worldly lifestyles into the churches, was to bring the spirit of Anti-Christ into God’s house. Hence, we brought the Abomination of Desolation into God’s house!

SEPARATING THE COMMON FROM THE HOLY

.

Listen to God’s speech to Jeremiah… “Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before Me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as My mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.” Jeremiah 15:19. 

.

God here was telling Jeremiah to remove all commonness, and cheapness, and worldliness from his speech. This was the battle-line which God was drawing in the sand, so to speak, between Jeremiah, and the apostate congregation of his day!

.

The only evangelism that God will approve of, is the purity of Christ’s Gospel. Any compromising of that pure Gospel will only result in Anti-Christs being brought into the churches. You simply cannot expect God’s blessing by mingling Christ with this Anti-Christ world! That’s not the way to bring sheep into God’s pasture! 

.

It was extremely critical that no worldly ideology was to be mingled into the Gospel. Comedy, fashion, “coolness”, drama, sensual music, ethnic/cultural-traditions, earthly-prosperity-driven gospels, patriotism, socialism, or whatever other worldly baggage, were to be left outside of the City of Heavenly Zion. It was to be discarded in, “Tophet” (i.e., The Valley of Slaughter), where it belonged! (Jeremiah 7:32 & 19:6)

TOO NARROW FOR ‘COOL’

.

The Narrow Gate is only wide enough for a redeemed soul filled with Jesus to fit through. So please don’t try to bring any ways & wares of the world into God’s house! God will not accept anyone who tries. They will be left in outer darkness, thinking that they are sitting among the “Congregation of the Righteous” Psalms 1:5, when in fact they will only be left on the outside, sitting among the “Congregation of the Dead.” Proverbs 21:16.

God always gives joy and peace to those who desire to live in purity and holiness. It is a peace which surpasses all worldly wisdom and comprehension. Contrariwise, those who insist on having a compromised gospel will never find that peace and joy until they turn and repent, and return to the Lord.

“THE SIGN OF THE SON OF MAN IN HEAVEN”

“And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Matthew 24:30

When God promised that “there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;” Luke 21:25, we didn’t remember that “the works were finished from the foundation of the world.” Hebrews 4: The Signs Of Heaven were already created from the foundation of the world. But as we have learned in the past, God often works in ways we aren’t expecting, or looking for. For instance, at the first Advent, Jesus came in a way that nobody was expecting. There was a general consensus amongst the theologians in those days, that the Messiah would come with conquering armies to overtake the enemies of the Jews. And of course, the quiet and gentle manner in which Jesus did actually come took everyone by surprise.

LOOSING THE BANDS OF ORION

God spoke several times of Orion, in Scripture. His question to Job was a very mystifying question, to say the least… “Canst thou…loose the bands of Orion?” Job 38:31. Such a strange question, indeed! How could a constellation have its bands loosed, much less, even have bands? Puzzling, puzzling!

.

But now, He is revealing this bright and beautiful constellation in a way that has never before been seen. God Himself is loosing Orion’s bands, as He is just now unraveling this age-old mystery. And we are beginning to understand that this most infamous of all constellations is nothing less than a remarkable metaphor concerning Jesus.

THE 5 OFFICES OF ORION

But like most of the other Signs which this website reveals, Orion too, has much more to say as he changes his position in the sky. And this Soldier in the Heavens puts on different garb, as he presents the five awesome aspects of his various offices. Noble Bereans,

So, yesterday, this subject of those noble Bereans was introduced. And today, it is still worthy of a little more exploration.

.

Let’s look at the key Bible passage… “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming there, went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:10, 11

AN OPEN-MINDED SPIRIT IN BEREA

.

Okay, so these in Berea were more noble, because they: 

.

1. “…received the Word with all readiness of mind.” 

.

2. And they “…searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

.

And so, these Bereans were ready to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the so-called, “orthodox” teachings of that day. Thus, there was an open-mindedness which permeated their minds.

they “…searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

.

And secondly, they searched the Scriptures daily, to see whether those things were so. In other words, these were not just mind-controlled followers of the popular teachers of that day.

.

No, but rather, they were noble enough to entertain this ill-reputed and much-maligned and despised renegade, Paul, who was bringing a very new and different angle on the Scriptures.

.

Yes, Paul was really teaching some incredibly new-sounding doctrines! And yet, these noble people were willing to hear him out, and actually hoping he was correct! They searched the Scriptures, “to see if these things were so”! They weren’t just searching to find the first flaw, so that they could quickly reject Paul, and everything he had to say!

CLOSED-MINDED SPIRIT TODAY

.

No, they weren’t just trying to find the first flaw, so that they could quickly reject Paul!

.

But that’s how it’s done today, to a great degree!

.

Sad to say, today, we have the same closed-mindedness of most of those people back in Paul’s day. Yes, most of them merely suffered Paul to say what he had say, only listening to him with narrow eyes, and a skeptical heart.

.

But if they heard even one little thing that they disagreed with, they quickly dismissed everything he had to say, and began throwing rocks at Paul!

.

Well, we don’t throw rocks today. Not literal rocks, anyway! But we certainly have the same narrow-minded skepticism that they had back in those days! 

.

MANY BEREANS BELIEVED!

.

So one can just imagine how refreshing it was for Paul to preach to these noble ones, who were completely open-minded to the seemingly new and often contradictory teachings that they were now hearing. And one can just imagine how wonderful it must have seemed to Paul, as he watched them doing their own personal Bible study, hoping to confirm what Paul was now teaching! And as a result of their noble open-mindedness, many of them believed!

.

Listen… “Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.” Acts 17:12

.

Okay, so here were many Greeks, both men and women who studied their Bible, with open minds and a desire to get to the truth, even if it meant giving up their former cherished doctrines. They merely wanted truth. And Paul had given them enough Scripture to assure them that he wasn’t just some wild-eyed spiritualist, bringing in some new non-biblical doctrine!

.

No, Paul was, no doubt, patiently teaching them, “line upon line, line upon line, precept upon precept, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little.” Isaiah 28:10. 

.

Paul was giving them the Bible only, and not some man-contrived, theological jargon.

.

WHAT DO MY LEADERS SAY?

.

If only the people of God today would have this same spirit which pervaded those noble ones in Berea. But the response today might rather be… 

.

“Well, I’m going to have to ask my pastor about this new teaching, and see what he has to say.” 

.

…or we may say…

.

“I’m sorry, your teachings just don’t agree with what my church teaches!” 

.

In truth, the vast majority in the Church today, are merely clinging to our comfortable religion, not willing to entertain anything which our “spiritual authorities” do not approve of. Neither do we want anything to do with any seemingly contradictory teaching that will “rock our boat!” 

.

Listen… “O My people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” Isaiah 3:12

.

Very sadly, those who merely follow their leaders, instead of being “Noble Bereans” and doing our own personal homework, will lose the true Way.

A FAITHFUL REMNANT

.

But alas, God has a faithful remnant within the ranks of the “great congregation” (see Psalms 22. 25, 40)! And though they may be scattered here and there, yet they will be prompted by God’s Spirit to search day by day, with an open mind. And they will not let some supposed discrepancy cause them to quickly reject the messengers, but will set those things aside, for a time, while they keep studying and studying!

Because, the truth is all they really want!

BIBLE VERSES PICTURED IN THE HEAVENS

THIS STAR-CHART: This is a Wikipedia star-chart, in which this site’s editor has sketched in these three constellation (without the Holy-Ghost-Rider Constellation). Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon. Also notice his eye is a star.It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation. It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west. The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation. The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.

THE MILKY WAY RUNS THROUGH THIS HOLY-GHOST-RIDER

.

Now one thing that is noticeable and makes this constellation even more dramatic, is the fact that the Milky Way runs right through it. And the question that must be asked is, “What biblical implications does this constellation/Milky Way connection have?” Well, very simply put, if stars represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.

WHY IS THIS CONSTELLATION SO INCOMPLETE IN APPEARANCE?

.

So why is this constellation merely an outline? Well it does show his back, rear end and leg…and arm. But unlike, say, Orion, this constellation is very vague, even mysterious in appearance. Almost vacant in appearance. Yes this horseman represents Christ.

.

But even more than this, it represents the Holy Spirit of Christ. And as we all know, the Holy Spirit is very, very, un-intrusive, almost impossible to detect His presence. Hence, this constellation is perhaps the most faint of all the constellations of Signs Of Heaven!

Noble Bereans?

.

So, in this little series, the subject of those noble Bereans has been introduced. And today, it is still worthy of a little more exploration into another area of concern.

.

And so, the Bereans were ready to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed, “orthodox” teachings of that day.

Thus there was an open-mindedness which permeated their hearts, and a willingness to search the Scriptures daily, in hopes that these seemingly new teachings were indeed true!

NOBLE BEREANS TODAY?

.

But where are the Noble Bereans today?

.

Well, maybe some groups are indeed like those noble Bereans. But other groups are anything but open-minded! This is made manifest, because they spend their efforts in condemning anyone who does not subscribe to today’s mainline popular theology! And they have become the self-imposed watch-dogs for the so-called “orthodox” Church. And these radio and TV ministries tell their audience just who they should listen to and who they must “black-list”, as the common expression goes!

.

And somehow they figure that this is what it means to be a noble Berean?!

.

TOTALITARIANS

.

And even more than this, these gifted debaters have a way of making us feel like heretics, if we even dare to question their authority!

.

And so, what they would have us believe to be termed as being, “noble Bereans”, would actually be better described as being bigoted totalitarians, who seek to control the consciences of their adherents! 

.

“We will tell you who to listen to and who not to listen to”, they might say. And because today’s listeners are quite often too busy in life to do their own personal study, they simply follow these prestigious teachers who not only have the charisma, but also have a big voice over the airways!

.

PAUL’S VEILED WARNING

.

Paul warned Timothy of such totalitarianism… “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” 1st Timothy 4:1-3

.

Now Paul warns that these apostate ones are forbidding the Church to marry. This is actually speaking of the Church marrying Christ. In other words, by their false doctrines and church dogma, Christians become confused as to what is true Salvation. Thus, today’s church-world is filled with many who attend church faithfully, but have never truly become “Born Again”!

THE MEAT OF THE WORD

.

And these next words, “commanding to abstain from meats”, is actually speaking of abstaining from the strong meat of God’s Word which is veiled in allegorical language. (see Hebrews 5:14).

.

Yes, today’s teachers are commanding the Church to never try to see the spiritual interpretation of God’s Word. They call this their, “Historical, grammatical method of interpretation”. But there is nothing in the Bible which commands us to abstain from the strong meat of the Word, which is found by seeing the spiritual meaning of allegories, as long as we properly and biblically interpret any and every Bible allegory. Yes, we are to compare, “spiritual things with spiritual” when trying to find the deeper spiritual interpretation.

.

But make no mistake, it is a precise and difficult work to discover the true, allegorical meaning of the hidden manna veiled within the many types, shadows, proverbs and allegories found throughout the Scriptures of God! This requires laying “line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little”, in attempt to find the true, “hidden manna”, of these allegorical truths. (see Revelation 2:17 for hidden manna reference & Isaiah 28:10 for “line upon line…” reference)

“THY WORDS WERE FOUND & I DID EAT THEM”

.

And all this concept of spiritual meat is only confirmed in verse, which says… “If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, NOURISHED UP in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.” 1st Timothy 4:6

.

Ah ha! So by accepting this spiritual meat of God’s Word, we will be “nourished up in the words of faith”. So, in other words, Paul is here confirming  just what he was really saying! Being “nourished up” has to do with the eating God’s Word. So this is part of the key to spiritually understanding this above passage from 1st Timothy 4:1-6!

.

And in Hebrews 5:12-14, Paul likened the deeper truths of the Bible to, “Strong meat”.

“For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused”

1st Timothy 4:4 

.

This passage from 1st Timothy goes on to say…“For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.” 1st Timothy 4:4-6 

.

What so many Bible teachers are ignorant of, is that the Bible uses many earthly object lessons to teach the Gospel. From Genesis to Revelation, the many true stories, prophecies, parables, etc., are all orchestrated by God to teach some aspect of the Gospel, using the objects of creation to teach spiritual truths. Whether the Bible speaks of mountains, various animals, trees, rocks, insects, birds, individual humans, the sun, moon, and stars, and whatever other things of Creation, they are all the “hidden manna” which those whose eyes have been enlightened can discern these hidden truths, veiled in allegories, types, shadows, and parables. 

.

Unfortunately, most of today’s Bible teachers and theologians cannot discern these spiritual truths. Their spiritual eyes and ears are closed, and they forbid their flocks from spiritualizing the various types, shadows, allegories, etc., found within the pages of the Bible.

.

Yet, those who can discern these hidden truths will understand that…“every creature of God (that is, every object lesson of creation found throughout the Bible) is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.” (1st Timothy 4:4, 5 with parenthetical comment by this website editor)

.

Thus, those whose spiritual eyes and ears have been opened will, like Timothy, receive and teach these hidden truths, becoming…“nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.” 1st Timothy 4:6

BIBLE A SPIRITUAL BOOK!

And so, this passage from 1st Timothy is really just confirming what this devotional is saying: that today’s church-world, while thinking we are like those Noble Bereans, are in reality, forbidding the Church to marry Christ, by commanding the Church not to partake of the deep spiritually allegorical nature of God’s Word!

.

And if the reader continues on this website, he or she may discover many deep truths of God’s Word, which heretofore have been veiled behind allegorical language.

“THE SCORNER (THE PHARISEE)”

.

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, AN EVIL EYE, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” Mark 7:18-23

Please tilt your head to the left. Do you see a man with a very long pointed nose. (Obviously, the sketch to the right is just an exaggeration in order to help you find the face in the photo to the left.)

Do you see an angry look? His right eye-brow is raised as if he is judging.

.

This second face in the Moon appears to be that of a combination of a man as well as a fox. Or maybe a wolf. Doesn’t he have a long narrow nose like a wolf or fox? Maybe even a dog. Nevertheless, the expression on his face, as he appears to look down upon the Earth, is that of scorn. Unlike the first Moon-man’s sad shock and awe; this ‘man/fox/wolf/dog’ appears to be that of anger and scorn. As if he is disgusted at the sinful planet below. He is very moral, you see!

THIS BEAST WITHIN

.

Well, the Bible has much to say about Pharisees. And the Bible has much to say about wolves, and foxes, and dogs. And this wolf-face inscribed in the Moon has much to tell us about ourselves! So if you are a truth-seeker, then this article will be an eye-opener, as we explore just what the Bible has to say about these things. And the fact is, this Pharisee Moon-Beast is in the heart of each and every human. And so, if you (or I) find that this wolf-man has some things in common, please don’t despair! For God is giving us these signs, while there still is time. While there still is hope!

THE PHARISEES…

.

“Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.” Proverbs 21:24

.

Yes this wolf-like beast-face in the Moon, is what the Bible calls a proud Pharisee. They were the morality crowd! They were the finger pointers! They were the scorners! They had an evil eye against others! They didn’t realize that their own pride was even more reprehensible to God than the drunkenness, immorality, or sexual perversions of the unsaved of the world!
