CITY OF CONFUSION

Babylon was given its name during the building of that infamous Tower of Babylon, because God confused their speech…

.

Listen… “Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.” Genesis 11:9 

.

And so, the name, Babylon, actually means, “City of Confusion”.

“PEACE & SAFETY BROUGHT DESTRUCTION”

This is the 16th installment of this series about coming out of Babylon, the world and the harlot churches.

And the reader is encouraged to click on and begin reading this series of devotionals called “Come Out of Her, My People”, to gain a fuller understanding of just why God considers today’s churches to be spiritual Babylon.

And one more aspect of Babylon will be lightly touched upon today.

Ever since Satan changed his strategy against the Church, the churches have become progressively apostate.

Yes, once the physical persecution ceased, and the world became friendly with the Church, the churches have become slowly but steadily more defiled with man-made doctrine and worldly behavior.

WORLDLY AND SENSUAL FASHIONS

.

And this apostasy has also manifested itself in the area of dress.

.

While back in earlier decades, church-going women paid great attention to modesty and propriety, slowly but surely, the fashions of the world worked their way into the Church. 

.

And now in the last 30 years or so, many of the women come to church without shame, dressing as the women of this pagan world!

.

PAINTED FACES

.

Listen to Ezekiel… “And furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come from far…for whom thou didst wash thyself, painted thy eyes, and decked thyself with ornaments…Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that plays the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto Aholibah, the lewd women.” Ezekiel 23:40, 44

.

Here above, Ezekiel alludes to God’s apostate church (both the liberal, as well as the conservative portions) as two adulterous sisters who paint their eyes and deck themselves with ornaments in attempt to attract pagan men to their beds of lust.

THE FAITHFUL WOMEN

.

But this above passage from Ezekiel 23:40, 44 is a warning and an encouragement to faithful women in churches: those who desire only to please their spiritual husband, Christ, by separating themselves from the wares and ways of this Babylonish world.

And even at the risk of looking less attractive, these faithful women shun all pagan adornments, in hopes of pleasing Christ!

NEW TESTAMENT AFFIRMATION

.

Now Peter admonishes New Testament women by saying… “Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the Word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;” 1st Peter 3:2

.

So Peter here confirms the Old Testament command for women to not follow the ways of this Babylonish (and Sodomitish) world!

TRUE BEAUTY FOUND IN CHRIST

But listen to what God sees as true beauty… “But let it (your beauty) be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:” 1st Peter 3:4, 5

Those who truly worship God realize that Christ is the very essence of true beauty.

.

His meekness and quietness and agape love and honesty, etc., are the very riches and adornments which every true Believer seeks after!

CHURCH: NO LONGER A SAFE-HAVEN

.

The Church should have been the one place where Believers could feel safe from the allurements of sin.

.

But instead of being a safe-haven, the churches became a place of sensuality, not only in the area of immodest dress, but also in the sensual music being played!

.

Oh yes, these “songs of worship” may have quasi-Christian lyrics.

.

But the music itself and the performances are quite often an imitation of the sensuality heard in this Babylonish world!

.

PRIDE, BUT ALSO INSECURITY

.

Of course, the great underlying cause for all this paganry is human pride and selfishness. It is an attempt to exalt self.

.

And yes, there are many women who feel they are not adequate. And they often attempt to make up for their deficiency with just a little make-up, and some modest but attractive apparel, and a little costume jewelry.

.

It’s not our job to be judgmental against the motives of those who are not so physically attractive, and simply try to make up for their lack.

.

Nevertheless, the Bible reveals that true beauty is the Spirit of Christ within.

.

This pagan world seeks after the so-called beauty according to “the god of this world”, Satan. (see 2nd Corinthians 4:4)

.

COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE!

.

Well, the very Good News is, that God is just now calling His people to come out of spiritual Babylon… “And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her (Babylon, the harlot churches), My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

.

Yes, we have all been influenced by the paganry which has infiltrated the Church over the past several centuries.

.

But now, it is time for God’s people to separate themselves and flee to Mount Sion, the heavenly City of God! 

.

AS PRIESTS AND KINGS

Oh yes, in our flesh we will still be living and working and providing for our family here in this hopeless world!

But in our heart, we will be in the Holy Temple of God, reigning as priests and kings as we minister before our Holy God and our High Priest, Jesus Christ!

.

And by faithfully continuing to cleanse our soul temple, we will one day walk side-by-side with many of those, both friends and family, for whom we have tirelessly prayed, when back on earth, joyfully conversing as we walk down the highways and byways of spiritual gold (the precious gold of faith & love) in the City of God!

A BADGE OF HONOR?

.

But one caution is necessary in this little devotional. The Christian must always be careful not to let his or her Christian lifestyle become some sort of “badge of honor”.

.

In other words, there is always the temptation to make some sort of uniform dress-code among religious people. Our looks or our speech or our behavior should be as low-profile as possible, so as to not become the objects attention to the world.

.

And so, much prayer and wisdom are in order, so that we might strike the proper balance in how we live in this temporary world.

GOD’S PEOPLE TAKEN CAPTIVE

God has a people in Babylon. Yes, Mystery Babylon is the Mother of Harlots. The sketch to the left shows her riding this beast with 7 heads and 10 horns.

But in that spiritual city, there are those who still love God to a certain degree. And before the final plagues are poured out upon her, God has been and will continue to call His people out of her… “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her (Babylon), my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

.

And so in addition to The Pleiades appearing as the Harlot Mother, we also see this second depiction of The Pleiades as an angel, which symbolizes God’s people, walking the downward pathway to destruction. They must be called out of Babylon before it’s too late!

Well, if you go surfing through the world-wide web for pictures of spider webs, they often do have the appearance of being a tunnel (well, the good ones do).

And it is not hard to imagine that this 3-dimensional, tunnel-like, optical-illusion, fools the little bug into thinking that he (or she) is going through a tunnel, when he (or she) is actually flying into a deadly dead-end trap!

THE INFORMATION SUPER-HIGHWAY?

In these last days of earth, there has appeared a giant web, which encircles the globe: The world-wide-web. And its proponents have dubbed this web to be “The Information Super-Highway”.

And while this title of honor may have been true in the past relatively short existence of the world-wide-web, Satan is now wasting no time in pinching off the truth which will save the souls of the lost inhabitants of this, the Devil’s world!

HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN NOT ALLOWED

Oh yes, the world-wide-web appears to be a tunnel leading to various “desirable havens”.

And the web will be there to connect searching souls to various worldly ideologies and lifestyles.

But truth-be-told, the one genuine highway to eternal life is now being pinched off by means of censorship.

THREE ANGEL’S MESSAGES NOT WELCOME

.

Oh yes, the world-loving gospels may still be allowed to remain visible on the web. And that includes the prosperity-driven gospels: the “name-it-and-claim-it” gospels as well the more conservative, “entrepreneurial spirit” gospels. (These prosperity ideologies may be fine for the people of the world to pursue, but the Christian’s great focus and chief desire is now to be Heavenward, seeking to be transformed into the image of Christ.)

And the Bible is still available via the Internet. But there is a growing movement to ban the Bible, calling it a Book of hate in its condemnation of various sinful behavior and lifestyles.

.

But the messages of the three angels from Revelation 14 is not welcome on the Internet.

.

END-TIME EXODUS NOW HAPPENING

And anyone who desires to escape the death sentence which hangs over their head can begin their sojourn out of this world-of-death and onto the true information super-highway which leads to the long-waited Promised Land.

THE HOLY GHOST RIDER CONSTELLATION

.

This newest Signs Of Heaven Constellation (Fall, 2013) is by far the faintest of constellations, but is a very incredible and awesome one in a number of ways (which this article will explain).

.

It is primarily comprised of the Camelopardalis Constellation (head and upper back), plus about 5 stars from the Cassiopeia Constellation (his leg), plus some random stars. It appears as an outline of a rider. Only the back of his head is detailed. And his back and the back of his legs are also detailed. Both sides of his arm are visible, and his hand is gripping the horses mane, and that is detailed by three stars (which are also part of the horse’s mane). The rider is in a position vaguely similar to a race-horse jockey. The two brightest stars in this constellation, are from the Cassiopeia Constellation, and are part of his leg. All the rest of the stars are very faint, and must be viewed on a very starry night.

Since this constellation has just been revealed, there may be more to this constellation in the coming months. But if you can locate the Goodly Horse in Battle Constellation, then you shouldn’t have too much trouble locating this Rider Constellation, provided you have excellent star-watching conditions.

A HEAVENLY HOBBY

The above verse is a plea from God to look up at the Heavens and behold the One, who has created all these things.

.

In this busy work-a-day world, there are many very interesting things which can occupy one’s time and energy: hobbies, and careers, and entertainments and worries, and habits, to name just a few.

.

But as the child of God devotes his or her life to God, there should be a jealous guarding of one’s own heart… “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23.

.

The Christian wants nothing to get in the way of running that Christian Race.

“AND WHEN YE SEE THESE THINGS…

LOOK UP, LIFT UP YOUR HEAD…”

But having said this, there is one hobby which every ‘Noble Berean’ may take up, which only compliments the pursuit of the heavenly Prize.

.

Yes, Signs Of Heaven becomes a wonderfully rewarding hobby which, unlike many less meaningful hobbies, pays off with rich, heavenly rewards. Everlasting rewards!

And unlike the person in this photo with equipment, all you need is fairly good vision, and a dark, starry night.

And once a person really gets to know these heavenly messengers, it will become very apparent that the message connected with these signs is truly a message to be heeded.

And thus, the Christian will be able to share this message with others!

And there are perhaps many nuances and hidden biblical truths to these signs which have yet to be discovered.

FIRST FIND ORION & 7 STARS

.

The very first step in finding these many constellations, should be to find the two main constellations: Orion, and the 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper).

.

These two constellations represent Christ (Orion), and His Church (7 Stars).

.

And just as these are the easiest constellations to find, so too, the first place to begin studying the Bible is the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).

.

These four books present Christ and His Church, when He walked the earth, just as Orion and the 7 Stars represent Christ and His Church, as seen up in the heavens.

.

Then, once you are comfortable finding these two constellations, you can begin to locate the next closest constellations, and so on.

.

ANOTHER HEAVENLY HOBBY: PRAYER-WALKS

.

Now if you’re fortunate enough to be able to go on nightly walks, and you live in an area where you can safely view the stars, here is another Heavenly Hobby which Signs Of Heaven endorses…

.

Why not combine starwatching with prayer, as you walk? What a great way to draw closer to God!

.

It cannot be over-stressed, just how wonderful it is to walk under the dark canopy of the night-heavens, while lifting up one’s heart to our Heavenly Father!

There is a closeness to God that cannot be described with words!

.

And even if you cannot safely do this, you can always do such prayer-walks in the daytime, in a safe place, such as a mall, which is every bit as effective, prayer-wise.

.

And for those who are in confinement, one can view these starry signs on the Internet, or simply listen to Scripture on audio.

.

Either way, all such may enjoy God’s richest blessings at this very time in which God is pouring out all Heaven’s treasures upon anyone willing to forsake all, and follow Jesus!

THRICE-DAILY PRAYERS

.

Now of course, the Bible commands us to, “pray without ceasing“. The Christian is to constantly talk with our Heavenly Father throughout the day.

.

But the Bible also holds up the godly life of Daniel, who, when captive in Babylon, still set aside three times daily, in which he knelt for special prayer.

.

And furthermore, the Bible also says… “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.” Psalm 55:17.

.

Even those who are bed-fast or in a prison cell can begin to imitate Daniel in this way. And if one is fortunate to be able to walk, then this thrice-daily prayer regimen can be combined with three walks daily and even nightly.

“Dear Lord, Give me a desire to engage in a daily prayer regimen. And give me strength to go for walks, even if I have to use a wheelchair. And give me a desire to study the heavens, and to see these heavenly signs, if only in my mind’s eye…

Arcturus may very well have been that star. 

Nobody knows for sure.

Because when I go outside and look, all I see is just a bunch of random stars!

Well, dear soul, that is a problem!

And probably many feel the same exact way!

But fortunately, the solution is simple!

LOCATING CASTOR AND POLLUX…

.

These two sketches below are the same picture, one with stars only, the other with embellishments.

These stars appear more or less like this when they are in the western sky, just before they sink below the western horizon (please excuse the less-than 100% accurate sketch). At the top of the sketches in the center is the Big Dipper. But with other surrounding stars, the Big Dipper is known as Ursa Major or the Great Bear.

.

But as this website points out, Ursa Major is actually the Revelation 12 Woman. (Ursa Major appears much larger in the sky than this sketch shows. But in order to fit her into this drawing, the artist had to depict her much smaller)

IN THE WEST

.

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter, and even into June at the beginning of night.

.

It is seen best when it is the western part of the sky. Orion, the Dragon, and the Glorious Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon. And at this point it is apparent that the Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the Narrow Gate Stars as you can see just to the left of the mountain.

.

A dark night is best for seeing this. It begins with the Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation going towards these two doors. The doors are each composed of two bright stars.

.

The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle.

.

The two stars that comprise the Wide Gate Stars (to the right of the mountain) are the two brightest stars of the Wave of Water (AKA Auriga Constellation) that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the Narrow Gate are about one-third less the width of the Wide Gate. The two bright stars which symbolize the Wide Gate are Capella and Menkalinan. These are the brightest two stars of the Auriga Constellation. (For more information on Orion’s sickle, just click here, “Orion The Reaper”. )

CITY OF CONFUSION

.

Babylon was given its name during the building of that infamous Tower of Babylon, because God confused their speech…

.

Listen… “Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.” Genesis 11:9

And so, the name, Babylon, actually means, “City of Confusion”.

PARADISE LOST

.

When God created this world, it was to be a wonderful garden in which Humanity could enjoy the beauty of nature, and rich and joyful communion with their Creator.

But God, for His own eternal purpose, allowed “that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan”, to tempt Mankind into sin and rebellion.

.

At that point, Mankind traded God away for a new Master…“the god of this world“, Lucifer.

BABYLON: THE CITY OF CONFUSION

.

But Lucifer, in his jealous hatred, was not content to allow Mankind such an easy access back to God. 

.

And so Lucifer went to work to create his new kingdom, turning it into a place which fallen Mankind could not and would not find their way back into God’s sheepfold.

.

And through his own “Workers of Iniquity”,  Lucifer endeavored tirelessly to create his kingdom, the mighty Babylon. The kingdom of sin and selfishness and confusion.

THE GOD OF THIS WORLD

.

And so it is, that Lucifer, now holding the official title of “The Devil” and “Satan” has created a world of confusion for the primary purpose of keeping the inhabitants of this world prisoners in his prison-house of sin and selfishness!

.

Listen… “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2nd Corinthians 4:4

.

As it says here, Satan, the god of this world has blinded the minds of all unsaved humans, so that they cannot find their way back to the true God!

LUCIFER WANTS IT ALL!

.

But Satan is not content to have 99% of the world in his prison-house. No, he wants it all! He wants to ensnare true worshipers of God as well!

.

Listen… “…the King of Babylon…How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!…For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” Isaiah 14:4, 12-14 

.

And so, not only does this passage reveal “The King of Babylon” as actually being, “Lucifer”, but also reveals his primary purpose, to ensnare 100% of the earth’s inhabitants. Yes, Satan will, “if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:24

SATAN’S “TROJAN HORSE”

.

And so, Satan has discovered long ago, that the best way to “deceive the Elect” is to infiltrate the camp of God, and fill it with “false brethren”.

.

Yes, just as Balaam taught King Balak to over-run the camp of God’s people with whorish women, back in the days of Moses, so too, Satan still infiltrates the churches with as many “Pretenders” as he possibly can!

.

And in this way, Satan brings the selfish wares and ways of Babylon right into the churches, thus turning the churches into an extension of Babylon.

SATAN: AN “ANGEL OF LIGHT”

.

Listen… for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2nd Corinthians 11:14, 15  

.

Yes, God’s true sheep have been deceived by all these wolves-in-sheep’s-clothing within the churches!

.

They bring all their various idols into the churches, thus compromising the purity of God’s houses of worship.

.

.

.

.

.

TODAY’S IDOLS

.

Now just what are these idols? Oh yes, some churches have various statues and other objects of idolatry. But actually, Satan has introduced far more idols in forms not so easily discerned: television, radio, high-tech devices are just a few of his deceptions!

.

But Satan is not content with just these! No, he makes sure these false brethren infect the churches with all sorts of distractions, such as luxurious vacation resorts, social clubs, games, and sports!

.

But also, the pursuits of extravagant houses and lands and gardens and pleasure/pride-vehicles of various types. And then he excites God’s people to charge headlong after time-consuming and energy-sapping careers. And then, God’s people began accumulating money and stocks and insurance schemes.

.

And on and on and on it goes! God’s people get caught on an endless merry-go-round ride in which they cannot escape!

.

.

.

.

.

TIME, ENERGY, COMPROMISE

.

And the problem with all this is two-fold. First, God’s people become flooded by all these time-consuming distractions. But many of these Babylonian wares and ways cause God’s people to begin intermingling, and even intermarrying with the lost souls in the world (and in the churches)!

.

Listen… “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?…Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,” 2nd Corinthians 6:14, 17

.

Yes, God’s people have been flooded by that great invisible Dragon, Satan, in hopes of carrying them away with the rest of the lost souls in the world. This is the fundamental purpose of Babylon!

FALLEN CHURCHES!

.

Now is there any Good News here? Yes, the Good News is this: God is just now calling His people to make a modern-day exodus out of the fallen churches. His pillar of smoke and fire has moved away from the fallen churches. And no matter how close Satan counterfeits the workings of God, there is no more Salvation within the confines of today’s churches!

Listen…“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2nd Timothy 4:3, 4

“COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE!”

Yes, God is calling His people to “Come out of her (Babylon) My people” Revelation 4:4.

.

And now, it is the command from Isaiah and Habakkuk to, “flee from the wrath to come!” We are to hide in our chambers until the indignation of God’s wrath has passed over us! (see Isaiah 26:20, 21) And in those spiritual chambers, it is our privilege to draw closer to God than ever before, as we surround ourselves with the most holy and pure environments as we possibly can! Constant Bible study and meditation (contemplation). Unceasing prayer! Songs, hymns, and spiritual songs. To come out from among them and be separate and touch not the unclean things of Babylon, as far as possible! These are the ways of Heaven that will cleanse, once again, our temple of God! This is where the pillar of smoke and fire has moved to!

TEMPLE FINALLY CLEANSED

And having accomplished this soul cleansing, then will be fulfilled the following promise of God…  “Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee! Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him!” Psalm 67:5-7

.

Yes, when God’s people finally shine as the Sun, then the inhabitants of the earth shall finally fall and fear God, bowing their knees in reverence to the Almighty Judge and Savior of the world!

God has a people in Babylon. Yes, Mystery Babylon is the Mother of Harlots. The sketch to the left shows her riding this beast with 7 heads and 10 horns.

But in that spiritual city, there are those who still love God to a certain degree. And before the final plagues are poured out upon her, God has been and will continue to call His people out of her… “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her (Babylon), my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

DEISTS OF THEIR DAY

Some, or perhaps many of our founding fathers of the United States of America called themselves  Christian, but were actually what were known as, “Deists”.

You see, Deists believed that God sits far off in outer space, and merely monitors the comings and goings of Mankind.

But is that what the Bible says about God? Am I really the captain of my ship? Am I just an independent agent? Is the world merely a place where most all the actions and decisions being the product of humans?

We live in a faithless world! From infancy, we have been taught and conditioned to believe that we must, “pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps”, as the saying goes.

Of course, this stark spiritual poverty is nothing new! The Bible refers to the Sadducees during Jesus’ time on earth. They were a class of secularized “believers”, who doubted any supernatural intervention in the affairs of Man, by God!

And when Jesus began His earthly ministry, this group of Sadducees had absolutely not one shred of belief that He was the promised Messiah that was to come!

But unfortunately, this same faithlessness has infected the Church to a great degree!

Yes, sad to say, we who call ourselves Christians have been groomed by society to behave much like the world behaves: faithlessly! We too spend thousands of dollars on insurance policies for our home and possessions! We have forgotten, or do not believe the scriptures which promise that God is the One who protects our belongings, or takes them away at His own discretion.

SCORNED

And if that’s not bad enough, many parishioners even look down on those who choose to live by faith, calling them “fanatics”. We have been so thoroughly indoctrinated by this society (via TV, radio, family & friends, etc…), that we pretty much think like the world thinks!

Listen…“For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.” Hebrews 10:34.

.

The churches of Paul’s day gave freely for the furtherance of the Gospel! And if only today’s Christians would take those thousands of dollars they spend on needless insurance policies, and instead, donate that money to some faithful ministry that preaches to foreign nations, they would not only enjoy God’s protection, but also see many souls one day, who were saved because of their donations!

PAUL LOST ALL THINGS!

And speaking of Paul, listen to his own personal testimony… “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,” Philippians 3:8

.

Paul had virtually suffered the loss of all earthly possessions, and yet counted them as dung, that he might finally become totally Christlike!

OBEY IN ALL THINGS LAWFUL

Oh yes, some types of insurance are required, such as driver’s liability insurance, and now, maybe even health insurance.

And we are counseled by God, in 1st Peter 2:13, to, “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of Man”, unless of course, it causes us to sin. (For instance, paying our taxes (even unfair taxes) is NOT a sin! Or getting all the necessary permits and inspections for a building project!)

.

Oh yes, there are some things, such as computers which are so fragile, it is almost guaranteed to break, and may (or may not) require getting some insurance.

SATAN RAISES UP FANATICS

Now, are there those who are “fanatics” (a non-biblical name), who make a mockery of faith?

.

Of course there are, and Satan has always supplied such false brethren, who pretend to have great faith, but eventually end up in some disastrous catastrophe. Their faith was merely presumptuous folly.

.

They were raised up by Satan to cast aspersions on those true worshipers of God who truly desire to live by faith.

.

And if the Reader of this article is given to such extremes, it would be best to not allow Satan to compel you into doing things which will eventually cause you to fall into some catastrophe.

FAITH, A GROWING EXPERIENCE

But true faith comes from daily Bible study and contemplation, combined with trials and afflictions which are given to strengthen the faith of God’s child.

Little-by-little, the true Believer learns to live by greater and greater faith, ever progressing toward his or her goal: to become totally Christ-like!

A TRUE GROWING FAITH

If only we would have an intelligent faith, based on day-by-day growth in grace and the knowledge of the Lord!

Now, having said all this, we need to NOT sit in judgment against those who do not agree with our faith. Let God be the judge.

There are many who are weak in faith, and still very much indoctrinated in the ways of Man. We are not to force our beliefs on others. We are not to compel another person’s conscience: not even the conscience of our spouse!

.

The last thing we want to become is some little dictator!

.

And so, let’s just live by our own faith, and allow others to serve God according to their own faith!

Now, that long-promised time of trouble has already begun! Oh yes, it is still very mild at this point. But it will gradually get more and more intense for God’s people!

LOCATING THIS 3RD FACE

.

The 3rd face of the Moon is a bit more difficult to locate, because it is mostly upside down. But this photo and this sketch are how this face would appear if it was turned right side up. (In the southern hemisphere, however, this is how the Moon would appear.)

The third face is the most difficult to see in the northern hemisphere, but once you do, it then becomes easy. This face is like a furry creature of the field. Maybe a rabbit. Maybe a squirrel. Perhaps a chipmunk. Probably a mouse. All “seekers”; all foragers or scavengers.

And while this picture shows this little “beast of the field” right side up, this 3rd face is always pretty much in an upside-down position.

A SYNOPSIS OF THE WHOLE BIBLE

When Christians begin to focus on the Ten Commandments, instead of Jesus as the main centerpiece of the Bible, there quite often begins to be a disconnect between the Ten Commandments and the rest of the Bible.

In other words, very many of those who hold the Ten Commandments up as the supreme Law of God, tend to forget that the Ten Commandments are merely a synopsis of the whole Bible, in its entirety!

NOT A MERE LAUNDRY LIST OF 10 LITTLE RULES

Yes, the Ten Commandments were greatly the centerpiece of the Old Testament. And yes, they were given the supreme position within the Ark of the Testament of God.

And yet, the Ten Commandments are definitely not some little laundry-list of rules we must obey. And far too many Christians erroneously think that they need not read the entire Bible to fully understand those, “ten little rules”.

THE TRUE LIGHT THAT NOW SHINES

But listen to the Apostle, John… “Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the Word which ye have heard from the beginning. Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in Him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.” 1st John 2:7, 8

.

The Apostle, John here was speaking of the True Light that is now shining, being the Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, John was revealing that the revelation of Jesus Christ in the four Gospels, now gives clarity to the Old Testament Law. And now, the Ten Commandments, plus the rest of the Old Testament laws, only now begin to be truly understood, as we look at them in the light of the Lord Jesus as He walked through this world.

PAUL’S WRITINGS

.

When Paul was addressing the Corinthians, he made this following declaration…“If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.” 1st Corinthians 14:37

.

Paul was very bold here in stating that his admonitions to the Corinthians were the commandments of the Lord. His letters were much more than the words of a man. They were an integral part of the infallible Word of God! They were every bit as important as the Ten Commandments!

.

As a matter of fact, Paul’s writings gave greater insight into the Ten Commandments!

JESUS NOW THE CENTERPIECE

.

And so, anyone who attempts to separate the Ten Commandments from the rest of the Bible reveals that he or she does not truly understand the Ten Commandments, nor the Bible!

When Jesus entered upon the world stage, God was making the shift from the Ten Commandments to Jesus as the true centerpiece of the Bible. 

.

And even more than that, both the Ten Commandments, plus every other law and precept in Scripture can only be truly understood as we attempt to see them in that, “true light that now shineth”, Jesus Christ!

“GOOD NEWS FROM A FAR COUNTRY!”

Proverbs 25:25

Now the Good News is this: God is holding back the four winds for a little longer that His people might correct such erroneous ideas as today’s devotional has presented.

.

The Bible says… “I have seen an end of all perfection: but Thy commandment is exceeding broad.”  Psalm 119:96

.

As this above verse reveals, Jesus Christ is that, “end of all perfection”. It is He who gives true breadth and depth to the Old Testament! And during our remaining time here, we really need to read and contemplate both the New and Old Testaments against the backdrop of that perfect light, Jesus Christ!

EARTH: PLANET OF REST

Counting the Sun as the 1st heavenly sphere, the Earth is the 4th heavenly sphere. If we extend our theory (and it’s just a theory) that God created our solar system to correspond to the commandments, the Sun corresponding to the 1st Commandment, then Planet Earth would correspond to the 4th Commandment: the Seventh-day Sabbath.

 .

And so, on the very planet that corresponds to the commandment that exalts the idea of “peace” and “rest”, there exists very little peace. And very little rest. Ironic, isn’t it?

And so the 4th member of our solar system, being Planet Earth, will be the host for this article.

Robert Frost’s famous comment in one of his poems mused… “Good fences make good neighbors”.

Now as far as human wisdom goes, this is pretty good stuff! But perhaps Frost was speaking of more than just a literal fence. Maybe he was speaking about everyday situations in human relationships. 

.

Well, whatever he had in mind, it nevertheless is true in very many situations in everyday life

THE DEVIL OWNS THE FENCE!

. 

Well, there is another bit of human wisdom regarding a fence. Listen to this one… “There are many who don’t want to be in the Devil’s Kingdom, nor in God’s Kingdom. They just want to sit on the fence, and be neutral. But what they just don’t realize, is that the Devil owns the fence!”

.

In other words, there is absolutely NO NEUTRAL GROUND IN THIS WORLD!

.

You’re either on one side or you’re on the other side: you’re either on Satan’s turf, or you’re on God’s turf! There’s no middle ground in this world…

.

Listen to the very words of Jesus… “He that is not with Me is against Me; and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth abroad.” Matthew 12:30

.

Jesus makes it perfectly clear that there is not neutral ground: if you’re not gathering with Jesus, then you are scattering with The Devil!

.

ONE OF SATAN’S GREATEST LIES!

.

But one of the greatest lies in this world is that you can live a nice secular life and just be a nice moral person, neither for Christ nor against Him. Just a fence-straddler, so to speak.

.

But to this, we would answer back, “The Devil owns the fence!”

BLASPHEMY AT THE INTERNET CAFE

.

Today, a nice lady was sitting with her daughter in an Internet cafe (the daughter being about 50 years old).

.

And they were having a nice conversation. And yet, the mother could often be heard taking the Lord’s name in vain in various ways.

.

Well, the urge came to turn around and gently scold this otherwise nice lady about her language. But after thinking about it, it was decided not to interfere with her bad habit.

.

Actually, she was inadvertently doing God a service.

.

She was letting all those around her know just where she stands, as far as her relationship (or rather, lack thereof) with God.

.

THE ANTICHRIST SPIRIT WITHIN

. 

But the real puzzling question is, why did she curse the Lord so often? Why did she use the name, “Jesus Christ!” as a curse word, maybe a dozen or two times in her short conversation?

.

Well, the answer is found in the following passage… “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” Ephesians 2:2.

.

Yes, there is a spirit within all humans. Either a person is filled with the “Spirit of Truth”, or with the “spirit of error”. (see 1st John 4:6)

.

The spirit of error of course is “the prince of the power of the air”, spoken of in the above verse from Ephesians 2:2.

.

SATAN WITHIN

.

And so, 1st John 4:6 and Ephesians 2:2 are speaking of the very same spirit.

.

Therefore, this seemingly moral lady is merely speaking the very sentiments of the spirit of Antichrist which, “now worketh in the children of disobedience”! Ephesians 2:2

.

And so, because Satan hates God, this “nice” woman likewise has the spirit of hatred of God within! 

.

Therefore, she has little problem using the Lord’s name in vain! Her blasphemy just rolled off her tongue like water! But it was actually the Devil within who was truly doing the cursing!

.

SHOULD BE NO SPECULATION

. 

Now whether the spirit of error dwelling in a person is referring to one of Satan’s fellow evil angels, or whether Satan himself has some sort of limited version of omni-presence among the children of men, the Bible does not make it clear.

.

We just are not told.

.

And so, it does no good to speculate one way or the other.

.

Nevertheless we just need to accept that Satan’s spirit of error does indeed work in “the children of disobedience”. Ephesians 2:2

.

SATAN KEEPS THE LIE GOING

.

Now, of course, not every unsaved person swears like the proverbial “sailor”. Nevertheless, Satan’s antichrist spirit will undoubtedly manifest itself in some way or another.

.

The bottom line to all this is, either you have the Holy Spirit working within you, or you have the spirit of the world working in you!

.

There is no third alternative! One or the other! And so, the “god of this world”, Satan makes sure to keep this lie going, that a person can be neutral. And one big way is to make sure that most secular people don’t appear too evil.

.

And that’s where the following verse comes in… “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters…HAVING A FORM OF GODLINESS, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 1st Timothy 3:1, 2, 5.

AN ANGEL OF LIGHT

.

Yes, the people of the world have a form of godliness. But that form of godliness is given by the “spirit of error” within them. It is not borne of the Holy Spirit.

.

Listen again… “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2nd Corinthians 11:14, 15. 

.

Now this above passage is not merely speaking of Antichrists IN the Church. No, it is speaking of any and every one who does not serve the Lord, throughout the entire world!

.

Remember what Jesus said…“He that is not with Me is against me; and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth abroad.” Matthew 12:30. This means that all the unsaved of the world are false ministers of Satan!

NO SITTING ON THE FENCE

Yes, all those seemingly nice people in the world are merely Antichrist deceivers, doing the work of their father, the Devil!

.

By their own “niceness” they are keeping up the lie of the Devil, that you can be fence-sitters, neither for Christ, nor against Him. But that’s all it is! Just a big fat lie!

.

The fact is, you’re either in the Devil’s kingdom, or in God’s kingdom!

.

One or the other!

No middle, neutral ground!

DAY OF THE LORD WILL UNMASK & REVEAL ALL DECEPTIONS

We live in a kingdom, Satan’s kingdom, in which “the god of this world” works 24/7/365 to deceive, mesmerize, entangle, and damn the hearts and souls of the unsuspecting multitudes around the world. And we just do not realize that so much of the rhetoric we hear daily, via the various entertainment media, is actually “the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty” Revelation 16:14.

Yes, all those seemingly benign voices we hear, both in our everyday dealings, are actually unseen entities, speaking through the people of the world, to keep us deceived, complacent, and compliant with “the god of this world”, to ultimately bring us to the “Day of Judgment” in an unsaved condition! 

.

But very soon this masquerade of false beneficence will be fully removed, and the world will then realize the awful and horrifying truth of where we actually are…prisoners of, “Tartaroo”, (Tartaroo being the Greek name for “Hell”, found in 2nd Peter 2:4, to describe Satan’s kingdom of spiritual darkness, which this unsaved world is!)

Yes, very soon (and even already now beginning), all masks will be removed, and the actual great wickedness of this world will be fully revealed to all! (see Daniel 12:1)

THE VALLEY OF DECISION CONSTELLATION GROUP

LOCATING THIS CONSTELLATION GROUP…

.

“Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.” Micah 4:1, 2

.

Look eastward in the early summer through fall. Find the Cassiopeia Constellation. Cassiopeia is the Mount of Blessing. In the sketch, it is the farthest mountain to the left. In the sky, it is the northern-most of these three mountains when facing eastward. It resembles a pyramid.

.

Then find the second pyramid to its right (south).

.

Then go a little further south to the next third pyramid. The third snow-cap is the Destroying Mountain Constellation.

.

These three pyramids are the snow-capped portion of these three mountains in this sketch. (of course, you won’t see the snow-caps in the sky. They are just an embellishment in this sketch to present a concept-EDITOR).

THE VALLEY OF DECISION CONSTELLATION GROUP. They appear in mid-summer in the eastern skies in pre-dawn hours.

.

These are made of Cassiopeia (mount on left), and various stars from the Andromeda Constellation (valley) Pegasus (Mount of Cursing (middle mount) & Destroying Mount (right)), and Pisces (Broad Way to Hell). The galaxy which appears to be climbing the Mountain of Blessing is the Andromeda Galaxy.

Free-will? What Free-will?

There has been a 400+ year debate between those who follow John Calvin’s teachings on Election/Predestination, and those who follow Jacobus Arminius’ teaching on Free-Will. This has been perhaps, the most controversial theological question in the history of the Church.

(Actually, no Bible-only Christian should ever be giving himself or herself such unbiblical labels as “Calvinist”, or “Arminian”!)

BIBLE IS AMBIGUOUS

.

The reason that the controversy continues is because there are many Bible verses which seem to support one or the other viewpoint.

.

For instance, the Calvinists point to such verses as this one…“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8, 9

.

The Arminians, on the other hand, use such verses as this one… “choose you this day whom ye will serve;” Joshua 24:15

.

And so, as you can see, there is enough ammunition for either side to use in this longstanding debate.

AN EMOTIONAL ISSUE!

.

Now for some reason, the debates over this issue can get very lively, to say the least! And there have actually been fist-fights which have resulted from heated debates over this subject! Certainly many friendships have ended because of this question.

THE PROOF OF THE PUDDING

.

But none of this has to be! There is a much simpler way of resolving this issue. There doesn’t even need to be a debate! Not even a word spoken!

.

You see, if a person really wants to prove his or her beliefs about Election or Free-will, one should remember the old saying… “The proof of the pudding is in the eating thereof!”

.

In other words, just how does your Salvation by Free-will compare to my Salvation by Election as far as yours and my exemplary life in Christ? Does my life show that my theology is a winning formula?

.

WITNESS OF A TRANSFORMED LIFE …

.

After all, just listen to this admonition by Paul…“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2

.

As this above verse exhorts, it is by the transforming of our lives into Christ’s glorious image, that we prove “what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”: not only to our own self, but also to all those around us!

CHRIST-LIKENESS: PROOF OF THE PUDDING!

.

And so, if those who insist that we are saved apart from any good work (Calvinists), truly have the correct position on Salvation, then that theological position would and should manifest itself by a life of Christ-like godliness!

.

And conversely, those who hold to the Free-will doctrine (Arminians) should live a victorious life of Christ-like godliness.

.

THE WORD IS LIVING & POWERFUL & SHARP

.

Listen to what God’s Word is… “For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

.

Here is an awesome and fearful statement! God’s Word is quick, that is, His Word is living! And His Word is powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword! Not just some dry theological treatise by learned professors in an ivy-covered tower! But the very life of Christ, quickened by the Spirit of Holiness in my heart!

A SANCTIFIED LIFE IS A MUST!

.

And let’s face it! Those who get into heated debates over this, or any other issue, only show that their theology isn’t working correctly. Losing one’s temper is a clear sign that something’s really wrong!

.

Listen… “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:” Ephesians 4:13

.

This above verse condemns those of us who insist that we are correct on this or that issue, so much so, that we aggressively go after anyone who disagrees with our stance!

A CHRISTLIKE LIFE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!

.

On the other hand, when we encounter a real genuine Christian who walks even as Christ walked, that godly person’s mere presence is the greatest argument in favor of his or her Gospel!

.

That genuine Christian doesn’t even need to speak a word! Their quiet and reverent and loving behavior does all the talking for them!

.

Their virtues of patience and kindness and humbleness, and temperance, and gravity are their most masterful and eloquent debate-team!

.

LET US PURIFY OUR HEARTS

.

And so, for those of us who are still struggling to show, that of a truth, Christ is in us, let us put away all debate and strife.

.

And then, let’s simply plead with God to do a work in our hearts, to purify us from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord!

TRUE THEOLOGY OVERCOMES 

.

And then, once that day arrives, when we have truly overcome the flesh, and someone should ask about our position on Free-will or Election-Predestination, we can give them whatever answer we deem is best, or no answer at all!

.

Because it really only matters just what theology has given me victory over the world and over the flesh!

.
