And were the skies of parchment made,

were every stalk on earth a quill,

To write the love of God above,

would drain the ocean dry;

Nor could the scroll contain the whole,

though stretched from sky to sky.”

Verse 3 of this song was penciled on the wall of a narrow room in an insane asylum by a man said to have been demented.

The profound lines were discovered when they laid him in his coffin.

But the sinfulness and hatred and violence and perverted lusts, as well as the lawless disregard of Mankind has been adequately inscribed on earthly scrolls!

Yes, as one worldly songster sang…“The words of the (worldly) prophets are written on the subway walls, and tenement halls!”

.

That’s right! People down here have spent inordinate hours transcribing the sentiments on various, “subway walls, and tenement halls”, and we might also include, “on restroom stalls!”

THE VULGAR WORDS OF EARTHLY PROPHETS

Everywhere we go it seems, we encounter what has been coined as “graffiti”.

.

And this modern-day phenomenon has become an earthly testament of the sinfulness of people, predominantly the younger generation as they mostly inscribe vulgarities, lewd images, and false ideologies.

.

“THE CITIES OF THE NATIONS FELL”

And try as they will, the authorities are mostly helpless to stop this illegal inscribing of words and images on public property!

And while many young minds think this stuff is “pretty cool”, many more mature minds think it’s pretty destructive.

.

But after all, we’re living in a society which has rejected the Ten Commandments, the Bible, and has replaced them with an atheistic paganism which promotes this kind of lawless behavior!

.

And so, we’re merely getting what we deserve!

THE SIGNS OF HEAVEN: GOD’S GRAFFITI

But did you know that our great God has inscribed His own graffiti?

.

That’s right! God, long ago has written His own version of graffiti on the ceiling which covers this world, the night sky…

.

Listen…“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;” Luke 21:25

.

This above verse has not been properly understood until now.

You see, God is now revealing His own graffiti which has been inscribed on the Sun, Moon, and stars.

.

Of course, this is totally legal, since God is the Creator and Owner of all things.

THE HEAVENS DECLARE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS

But instead of violence, vulgarities and lewd images, God has written the wonderful redeeming love of Christ as revealed in the Gospel of our Salvation!

Now, God is not content to inscribe this heavenly graffiti on the heavenly scroll.

No, God loves to write graffiti!

In fact, He can hardly stop Himself from inscribing more and more graffiti: that is, He loves to write His own version of heavenly graffiti on the walls of the human heart!

.

That’s right! God is in the business of writing His heavenly love story upon the walls of the hearts of each and every Christian.

.

REPLACING EARTHLY GRAFFITI WITH HEAVENLY

.

But we must cooperate with this Divine Graffiti Master Artist, known as Jehovah God!

.

And just how do we cooperate?

.

Simple!

.

We must understand that we have allowed God’s arch-enemy, Lucifer, to write his own graffiti on the walls of our heart, all through our short lives.

.

Yes, now given the title, “Satan”, this “god of this world” has been busily exposing us to as much sin and selfishness and worldly wisdom, with the intent of filling our heart and mind with the graffiti of sin!

.

But now, God is wanting us to scrub away all those vile images and cheap commonness and ugly vulgarities which have been filling our hearts, all through our lives!

.

CHRISTIANS: A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD

.

So then, we now have our work cut out for us.

.

And by separating ourselves from as much earthly filth as possible, and by constantly and prayerfully contemplating His wonderful Word through our day, our hearts can be gradually transformed into a beautiful Most Holy Temple, in which Christ can joyfully minister within us!

.

And the wonderful thing is, that He has invited us to be co-priests with Him, as we likewise offer ceaseless prayers and praises throughout our each and every day, while we go about our daily business!

.

And as we hide His precious “words of life” in our hearts, our Most Holy Place of the heart will shine with the golden words which grace our hearts like “apples of gold (faith & love) in pictures of silver (purity)”. (see Proverbs 25:11)

.

“Dear Lord, Give me the grace to see this heavenly graffiti, written in the sun, moon, and stars!

But every time I must behold Man’s graffiti, let it always remind me of Your commission for me to write Your words of life & love upon the walls of my heart…

STRETCHED FROM SKY TO SKY

.

In 2012, this constellation was revealed.

It is comprised of all the other constellations on this website, as they appear in the night-sky.

The only way to really see this constellation, is to become very familiar with this website.

This is because this incredible constellation spans both the summer and winter skies.

This constellation is actually in a semi-circle, as it appears in the night-sky.

These pictures, however, show it as it would appear straightened out.

.

There is an old song which goes… 

“The love of God is greater far

than tongue or pen can ever tell;

But the last verse of this song says… 

“Could we with ink the ocean fill,

And were the skies of parchment made,

were every stalk on earth a quill,

And every man a scribe by trade;

To write the love of God above,

Nor could the scroll contain the whole,

though stretched from sky to sky.” 

Now what makes all this so extremely interesting, is that this verse was found scribbled on the wall of a deceased “insane” person’s cell in a psychiatric sanitarium, upon removing his corpse.

.

And little did this “insane” man realize, that God had actually written His love and inscribed that love on the scroll (of the sky).

And God had actually stretched that picture of love from sky to sky, just as the song-verse said.

.

And now God has revealed this heavenly portrait of the Son of Man, writhing in pain for a planet who cares very little for Him. (These constellations span both summer and winter sky, and this constellation in this picture to the right actually appears much more curved in the sky.)

.

And just like the Bible God has made these signs in such a way, that they are true enough for the Believers to believe; but doubtful enough for the scorners to scorn.   

.

“With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful;

with an upright man thou wilt show thyself upright; 

With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure;

and with the froward thou wilt show thyself froward. 

For thou wilt save the afflicted people;

but wilt bring down high looks.

Now one area in which God’s people must clean up, is in the area of our music.

The sad truth is, Lucifer, that master-musician who once filled the courts of Heaven with his incredible music and voice, eventually became self-exalting.

.

And his music began to reflect that desire for self-promotion. His selfless loyalty to God, which was originally reflected in his viols, pipes, and tabrets, most likely began to become sensual and earthy.

.

Yes, Lucifer’s secret desire for self-exaltation no doubt began to manifest itself in his music.

THE VOICE OF A GREAT MULTITUDE!”

Revelation 19:6

But now, God is getting ready to bring a new company of redeemed ones into the courts of Heaven.

Sadly, all those fallen angels who sinned will be forever absent from those heavenly courts.

.

But those new citizens of Heaven will never ever be tempted to go astray, as Lucifer and his fellow rebels did!

.

And so, as God’s people get themselves ready to enter into Heaven, they must now begin to purify themselves from the earthy, sensual music which the Church has been embracing for many long decades.

WHAT DID JESUS DO?

.

Just what does the Bible have to say about all singing?

.

Certainly, as one reads the Gospels, the few times music was mentioned, it was very simple, in which the disciples merely sang hymns together.

.

Listen… “And when they (Jesus & disciples) had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.” Matthew 26:30

.

Very simple and spontaneous was the music in the early Church. There was none of the elaborate musical filigree which we hear in today’s music! No attempts were made to tickle the ears of double-minded churchgoers with flesh-pleasing orchestrating, and sensual, dreamy-eyed singers attempting to dazzle their hearers by their great vocal abilities! 

.

No, there was only the trembling, faithful voices of pilgrims, joined together as one, lifting their hearts up to Heaven in joy and thankfulness to their Creator/Redeemer!

“EARTHLY, SENSUAL, AND DEVILISH”

James 3:15

However, back in the mid-twentieth-century, certain very worldly-minded musicians decided that it was time to get rid of the sacred music in the churches and give the church-world a musical make-over!

.

And it wasn’t long until Hollywood jumped onto the bandwagon, producing movies which promoted the same idea that the Church must become up-to-date and relevant in today’s pop culture.

.

And so, these worldly-minded, “movers-and-shakers”, together with Hollywood’s influence, completely updated the worship services in most every denomination.

SCRIPTURE SONGS

.

Perhaps the best innovation which came out of the Twentieth Century were those simple “Scripture Songs”, which were nothing more than a scripture verse or two, set to a simple melody.

.

Yes, most of those little songs were composed in simplicity and without any sensuality or pride. And they were a great way for children and adults to memorize Scripture, as they were sung collectively during the worship hour, or individually, amidst one’s daily duties!

.

Yes, those little songs were the closest thing to the Psalms of David (which we find in the center of our Bibles.)

“SING PSALMS UNTO HIM!”

“Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him: talk ye of all His wondrous works.” Psalm 105:2

Now that the Church-Elect is preparing to meet the Bridegroom, it is perhaps a good time to begin learning Scripture Songs.

.

And the days may soon come in which God’s people will walk along lonely pathways, under the dark and starry canopy of Heaven above them, with no earthly companions to comfort them.

.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to sing such little Scripture Songs (or even to compose them) as they sojourn up those narrow Heavenward pathways.

“WOMAN ON THE  ALTAR” CONSTELLATION… 

.

This “Golden Altar” Constellation is only seen in winter through spring, in mid-sky. 

It is to the south of the “Fleeing Woman Constellation” (AKA Ursa Major  or The Big Dipper).

.

The “Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12” Constellation is in the northeastern sky in this sketch.

You would be facing east and looking very high up almost to mid-sky to see this constellation group this way.

The altar is farther south but still in the eastern sky. 

This altar itself is commonly known as “Leo Major“, with the smoke rising being “Leo Minor“.

.

A little farther down this page is the sketch of this same constellation in the latter part of winter, when you look at them facing westward.

You will notice that what looked like Gospel seed being cast from her left hand and left foot (see “Woman of Revelation 12-The Fleeing Woman” article for explanation of casting “Gospel Seed”) now appears like smoke or incense rising from the altar.

It is not clear why the altar is sideways in back of the Woman.

It would make more sense if it were directly under the Woman.

However, the Lord must have some spiritual truth to convey concerning this odd positioning of the Altar.

The 7 Stars (Big Dipper) is easy to see with its very bright 7 stars.

But the Revelation 12 Woman (Ursa Major) must be seen on a dark starry night, away from city lights.

Just yesterday, a churchgoer made the following comment: “You need to be coming back to church each week!

.

“Because you know”, he continued, “for all eternity, God’s people will be meeting together and loving each other.

.

“You might as well get started right now”, he concluded.

.

Now this seemed to be a powerful argument!

.

After all, it’s true that we are to have love, one-for-another.

.

“REPROVE NOT A SCORNER, LEST HE HATE THEE”

Proverbs 9:8

.

However, the churchgoer was making a judgment: a judgment in his mind, that he believes all those who have made an exodus out of the churches are merely doing so, for “lack of love!”

.

But this sincere churchgoer was not considering, nor even knowledgeable of all the passages which are calling God’s people to come out of Babylon, the harlot churches.

.

Well, there was no point trying to make sense with that churchgoing person: many churchgoers simply do not want to hear that message concerning this end-time exodus out of spiritual Babylon!

COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM?

Revelation 18:4

But there are many Christians who are truly confused as to just what God expects out of His people.

.

Should we be fellowshipping with church people? Should we attend religious meetings.

.

And are we being too reclusive and even unfriendly by separating ourselves from the church community?

.

AS WE SEE “WHAT” DAY APPROACHING?

.

Well, it is true that God’s people should be filled with love for their fellow humans, especially those who profess to love Christ!

.

And our love should even extend to the secular, unbelieving world.

.

And yes, Hebrews 10:25 counsels us that…

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,

as the manner of some is;

but exhorting one another:

and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

.

But notice here that it says we should be exhorting one-another, “and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

.

And so, the question needs to be asked, “As we see WHAT day approaching!?”

.

“FLEE OUT OF THE MIDST OF BABYLON!”

Jeremiah 51:6

.

Yes, the question must be asked, “As we see WHAT day approaching!?”

.

Well, the Bible says in Matthew 24:15, 16…

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,

spoken of by Daniel the prophet,

stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:”

.

This above passage warns of a day in which God’s people are to flee to the mountains from Judaea.

Oh yes, this passage is written in veiled, allegorical language.

But we must understand that the Bible is a spiritual Book (see 2nd Corinthians 2:13, 14).

.

And so, such allegories as Matthew 24:15, 16 should be no problem to discern spiritually.

.

.

“HID IN THE DAY OF THE LORD’S ANGER”

Zephaniah 2:3

.

But even if we didn’t have Matthew 24:15, 16 to rely upon, we have other passages which basically say the same thing…

“Come, My people,

enter thou into thy chambers,

and shut thy doors about thee:

hide thyself as it were for a little moment,

until the indignation be overpast. 

For, behold, the LORD cometh out of His place

to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity:

the earth also shall disclose her blood,

and shall no more cover her slain.”

Isaiah 26:20, 21

.

This above passage warns us to hide ourselves till the Lord’s indignation and His punishment of the world is passed over!

“THE ROCK OF MY REFUGE”

Psalm 94:22

But there are other similar passages such as this passage from Isaiah 2:20-22…

“In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold,

which they made each one for himself to worship,

to the moles and to the bats; 

To go into the clefts of the ragged rocks,

for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of His majesty,

when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 

Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils:

for wherein is he to be accounted of?”

.

This passage specifically speaks of the Day of the Lord, when God’s people are counseled to flee.

.

And this passage concludes by saying…“Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?”

NO SHORTAGE OF VERSES

.

Well, the point is, there is no shortage of Bible passages which speak of the day of the Lord as a time to flee; a time to be hidden; a time to, “cease ye from Man”!

.

Listen to this next passage…

“And the LORD answered me, and said,

Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables,

that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:

though it tarry, wait for it;

because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Habakkuk 2:2, 3

.

Here is a very striking prophecy regarding this very time in history when God’s people are commanded to flee from the overwhelming influence of unbelievers who are surrounding God’s people, both in the world, and in the apostate churches.

“NOT…GREATER THAN JOHN THE BAPTIST”

Matthew 11:11

.

Now just because we are counseled to, “flee”, and to, “cease ye from man”, does this mean that we don’t have love for our fellow man? Absolutely not!

.

After all, John the Baptist lived in the wilderness. And yet, did separating himself from humanity show that John didn’t have love for the human race?

.

Oh yes, it’s true John had a godly hatred for sinners (see Psalm 5:4, 5).

.

But even if time would have permitted such a thorough explanation, the fact is, there are many who adamantly refuse to understand this message.

They simply love going to church each week.

And because they are usually very outgoing and friendly, they love all the social aspects connected with churchgoing, with its many social events and parties.

Oh no, they don’t necessarily love to talk about salvational issues.

.

No, but rather, after church, they mostly talk about their job, their cars, their home, their favorite team, their up-coming vacations, their kids, their hobbies, etc…. Jesus is not their “first love”. Revelation 2:4

.

In other words, for them, church is mostly a weekly fraternal/social get-together, covered with a thin veneer of religiosity.

“THEY HEAR THY WORDS, BUT…NOT DO THEM!”

(read Ezekiel 33:31, 32)

And oh yes, they do enjoy Bible studies.

But as Paul describes in 2nd Timothy 3:7, they are, “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

.

They keep studying their Bibles, but for lack of the Holy Spirit, there is no true Christian growth. And there can’t be, because their hearts are divided.

And a divided heart cannot receive any spiritual thing from the Lord! (see James 1:7, 8)

And so, because of their love of this world, most parishioners have never experienced true conversion!

Well, very simply put, if stars represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.

WHY IS THIS CONSTELLATION SO INCOMPLETE IN APPEARANCE

So why is this constellation merely an outline?

Well it does show his back, rear end and leg…and arm.

But unlike, say, Orion, this constellation is very vague, even mysterious in appearance. Almost vacant in appearance.

Yes, this horseman represents Christ.

But even more than this, it represents the Holy Spirit of Christ.

And as we all know, the Holy Spirit is very, very, un-intrusive, almost impossible to detect His presence.

This above verse from Psalm 22:16 makes a very startling revelation concerning just who it was that put the nails in Jesus’ hands and feet!

Well, it was the assembly of the wicked who pierced the hands and feet of Jesus.

But in this same verse, God compares them to dogs!

Yes, it was dogs (in the allegorical sense) that compassed about Jesus, when on the Cross!

THE CIRCUMCISION

Well, is there any more biblical support for this idea?

Yes.

Listen again…“Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.” Philippians 3:2

So here again, the comparison is made between evil-doers and dogs.

But in this verse, it actually hones down just who these dogs are: “the concision”.

.

Therefore, it was those in God’s house who proudly proclaimed that they were the circumcised ones.

SPIRITUALLY CIRCUMCISED

And yet, Paul here, goes on to say…

“For we are the (true) circumcision,

Yes, the truly circumcised ones in the Church, are those who are circumcised in heart, and not in the flesh…

“But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly;

and circumcision is that of the heart,

whose praise is not of men, but of God.”

But today’s big question is this: “Why does God compare the uncircumcised-in-heart to dogs?

.

After all, dogs make really great pets. And many dog owners love their pets as though they were people! And dogs are very faithful to their master!

.

So why the comparison?

There must be a good reason for this comparison, since God does nothing by “whim-or-caprice”!

And the stinkier, the better!?

Of course you have!

As wonderful as dogs can be as faithful pets, they nevertheless love to sniff each other. And on these occasions, it always makes us roll our eyes, doesn’t it?

What a stinky habit! Oh well.

SMELLING STINKY SINS VIA GOSSIP

Well, perhaps there could be an analogy made between dogs and humans, concerning this obnoxious trait!

For instance, whenever we whisper some little morsel of gossip about someone else, are we not smelling someone else’s dirty sins?

Are we not smelling another person’s stinky sins, when we whisper about that person?

.

Well, if we really get honest about it, this is exactly what we are doing!

BIBLE COMPARES SIN TO DUNG

Listen… “And now, O ye priests…

Behold, I will…spread dung upon your faces,

even the dung of your solemn feasts;

and one shall take you away with it.”

Malachi 2:1, 3

Here is seen that God compares the sins of His priests to dung!

.

Yes, it was the sins of His priesthood which caused God to refer to their solemn feasts as “dung”.

WE ARE A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD

Now of course, we New Testament Believers have been chosen to be, “a royal priesthood” (1st Peter 2:9).

So when Malachi addresses priests, this can apply to Christians too, especially if we also have those same sins in our own lives!

GOSSIP GRAPEVINE

Now when the congregation comes together to partake of the solemn weekly feast of meeting together, quite often, the gossip-grapevine will be in full bloom!

Yes, the stinky gossip just might be flying back-and-forth at these solemn assemblies…

“Did you hear about Deacon Jones?”

“Isn’t there something a little odd about So-And-So?”

“Did you smell tobacco on Sister Smith’s breath?”

“Did you hear what happened last week, when Elder James was out of town?”

.

Yes, we humans love to smell the dirty laundry of others! Our ears are always itching for more “juicy” gossip!

.

And this is just one example of how God spreads the dung of our solemn feasts on our faces, as Malachi reveals.

WORTHY OF DEATH?

.

Listen to what the Bible has to say about whispering (gossip)…

“(Unbelievers in the Church are) filled with all unrighteousness…maliciousness;

full of envy…whisperers, Backbiters…unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgment of God,

that they which commit such things are worthy of death,”

Romans 1:29-32 (condensed)

.

While this above passage is speaking of the whole world, yet it specifically refers to churchgoers, since it speaks of them as, “knowing the judgment of God” in verse 32.

.

So here we see that whispering about others is a sin worthy of death! And those who regularly commit this sin are worthy of death!

.

And so obviously, those who commit this sin of gossip on a regular basis are not indwelt by the Spirit of Holiness.

.

Serial gossips are borne of another spirit: the spirit of the world, Antichrist.

.

THE ORIGINAL GOSSIPER

.

No, it was that original Whisperer who spread a vicious rumor about God into the itching ears of Eve…

“Yea, hath God said,

Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?…

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof,

then your eyes shall be opened,

and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”

Genesis 3:1, 5

.

Here was the first instance of vicious gossiping, which occurred way back in the Garden of Eden.

.

Satan accused God of being selfish.

.

And the woman listened to this vicious gossip, and this Whisperer has been whispering vicious accusations into Mankind’s itching ears ever since that fateful day!

.

.

ALL ARE GUILTY BEFORE GOD!

.

Now most every one of us have been guilty of this sin of criticizing and gossiping about others behind their backs!

.

But make no mistake, O Pilgrim, all such vicious back-stabbing gossip will bring the wrath of God down upon our own heads…

.

Listen…“He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.” Proverbs 10:18

.

This verse is essentially saying that those who regularly slander and gossip about others are yet unsaved!

Yes, according to the Bible, being a fool is the same thing as being unsaved!

.

And those who are true children of God will tremble in fear whenever they fall into this sin!

.

Yes, all true children of God know how painful God’s chastisements can be!

.

.

THE GOOD NEWS!

.

Well, the Good News is that it is still the Day of Salvation!

.

And you and I can beg God, right this minute, to purge us from this pernicious and damning sin!

.

When God finally and fully removes this sin of criticizing and gossiping, the child of God will feel such a joy and freedom!

.

And there will be a restoration of God’s Free Spirit, causing us to sing “songs of deliverance!”

Listen to this next passage… 

“Behold that which I have seen:

it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink,

As this above passage alludes, it is God who gives to each man (or woman) his portion of this world.

And to some, God has given earthly riches!

Even the various jobs that each man has, have been provided by the unseen rulers of this world.

Even the alarm clock that rings in the morning, and the timeclock that gets punched each day, are actually accomplished by the unseen principalities and powers who make this work-a-day world keep operating!

Even Satan, “the god of this world” (Satan) realizes that he must keep his evil kingdom operational, in order to carry out his evil purposes.

Therefore, he’s also very much involved in the daily operation of this world!

So, we shouldn’t think that it is only God who is always directly involved in the day-by-day performance of humans.

.

Satan must do his part too!

.

Otherwise, the world would fall apart, and its citizens would eventually rebel against their master & commander, Satan, and turn back to God!

GOD HAS MADE THE DUMB, DEAF, SEEING, AND BLIND…AND THE RICH

Listen to Moses, as he complains to God because of his lack of speaking ability… 

“And Moses said unto the LORD,

O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore,

nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant:

but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.” 

Genesis 4:10

But how does God answer Moses?

Listen…”And the LORD said unto him (Moses),

‘Who hath made man’s mouth?

or who maketh the dumb,

or deaf,

or the seeing,

or the blind?

have not I the LORD?

Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, 

and teach thee what thou shalt say.'”

Here, God pulls back the curtain and reveals just who it is that gives humans their strengths and weaknesses.

Oh yes, Satan is busily giving certain humans their great powers, abilities and riches.

But God has veto-power over anything and everything that Satan desires to do.

WHO ARE THE TRUE POWER-BROKERS?

So, considering all these Bible verses which reveal that it is the unseen powers, both good and evil, who are the true rulers over Man?

Just what can Mankind take credit for?

Whether it be the much-envied financial wizard, or the great scientist, or the master musician, or the powerful political leader, or the genius inventor or designer, or the great actor, or the celebrated author, or the imaginative story-teller, or the world-class athlete, it is actually the unseen spiritual powers, both good and evil, who are working behind the scenes to make all these things happen!

.

These unseen entities are the world’s true power brokers!

.

Of course, it is Satan’s desire to cause Mankind to get all the credit.

This is an integral part of his warfare against Heaven.

The more accomplishments that Mankind takes credit for, the more self-confident we will be!

Thus, in our pride, our rebellious hearts will grow even more defiant against Heaven’s government! 

.

After all, why should we allow God to be our Lord and Provider if we believe that we that can do it ourselves?

.

Why should we turn back to God while we’re seemingly doing so well on our own?

“AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST”

Matthew 11:28

But the very Good News is, the door is still open to come back to God.

Listen… “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me;

for I am meek and lowly in heart: 

and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

.

As this above passage proclaims, Mankind is invited to come back to the Lord.

God still holds out His “Rest unto your souls”, to any and every one who is tired of trying to be a “I Can Do It!” person.

GREATER KNOWLEDGE BRINGS GREATER TRUST!

And yes, as the disciple of Jesus learns more and more about the Bible, he or she will learn to put greater and greater trust in the Lord, to solve the many problems of life.

And this verse will take on a greater and greater meaning to that Christian… “Be still, and know that I am God:” Psalm 46:10.

.

And once that Christian finally puts full trust in God, there will be a peace which surpasses all human understanding, which this “Rosie The Riveter” world cannot know nor understand.

FOURTH SOLAR SYSTEM MEMBER

Counting the Sun as the 1st heavenly sphere, the Earth is the 4th heavenly sphere.

If we extend our theory (and it’s just a theory) that God created our solar system to correspond to the commandments, then planet Earth would correspond to the 4th Commandment.

And so, on the very planet that corresponds to the commandment that exalts the idea of “rest” and “peace”, there exists very little peace.

And very little rest.

Yes, it’s a Rosie the Riveter world. And it’s been that way for a very long time! Even in the Garden, when the Tempter deceived and enticed the woman, it was over the issue of her wanting to be like God. She didn’t want to trust in God. She wanted to do things under her own strength and intellect.

And in a very real sense, Eve was the very first Rosie the Riveter!

OUR HEAVENLY FATHER ALLOWED US TO “DO IT OURSELVES”

And all God originally wanted was for mankind to enjoy peace and rest and happiness, allowing Him to be their loving Lord.

But when mankind left God’s Rest and wanted to have a, “We Can Do It!” world, God in His infinite wisdom decided to allow us to become that kind of a world!

.

And so, we became a “We Can Do It!” world.

WITHOUT GOD, WE CAN DO NOTHING!

The fact is, Jesus teaches us the following truth…“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5

.

Here is revealed a great truth, not only for the Church, but for the entire world! God is the great Provider of all things. We puny little humans just do not understand, that, apart from God, we would be as helpless as little babies!

Without God’s intervention, the human race would come to a complete stand-still!

GOD DOES HIS OWN WILL

Listen to this next statement…“And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and He doeth according to His will in the army of Heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What doest Thou?” Daniel 4:35

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible makes clear that our great God is intimately involved in the affairs of life, both small and great.

SATAN ALSO WORKING HARD

Oh yes, the Enemy of Souls, the Devil, is also busily working in the hearts of the unsaved!

Listen…“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” Ephesians 2:2

.

And Satan is a very, “hard workin’ Devil”! And he and his fellow evil-angels toil around the clock to accomplish his own deceptive/destructive purposes! And as this above verse reveals, the spirit of Antichrist works in the heart of all those who are considered, “the children of disobedience”.

But ultimately, God is in control. and Satan can only do the things which God allows him to do…

ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOD’S OWN PURPOSES

There are many Christians who are confused about whether or not to have secular friendships.

.

After all, so many other fellow church-members have no problem maintaining secular friendships.

.

And even many pastors often encourage the parishioners to strike up friendships with unbelievers, with the hope of one day converting them to Christianity.

.

But what does the Bible say?

.

Does the Lord encourage us to go out and strike up personal on-going relationships with unbelievers?

2nd CORINTHIANS 6:14-18

.

As a matter of fact, God has much to say on this subject.

.

And one of the primary New Testament passages by Paul, really spells out in detail, just why we must come out from among unbelievers.

.

And so, let’s spend a few moments analyzing our signature passage for the day, 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18.

So, let’s take it line by line…

6:14 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” 
.

Now some people imagine this verse to be merely speaking of some contractual relationship, such as marriage or a business partnership.

.

But notice it says, “What fellowship…and what communion…?”

.

Yes, God is asking us the question which so many of us tend to ignore: “What kind of fellowship, and what kind of communion does righteousness and light have with those who are still in their sins, and still in spiritual darkness?”

.

And so, beside contractual relationships, this is also speaking of everyday friendships with unbelievers.

.

6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial?  or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

.

Now this verse from 2nd Corinthians 6:15 refers to unbelievers as followers of Baal, and as infidels (rebels against Heaven).

.

And God asks us about what harmony and what connection can a believing Christian have with Babylonian rebels?
.

6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

Now here again, God refers to us as His spiritual Temple. And He refers to friendship with the world, as bringing idols into the temple of God! 
.

6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,
.

Now here is an even more startling revelation! Yes, God says here that He will receive us if we obey this command!

.

But will He receive us if we disobey this command?

.

Not according to 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18!

.

6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”

.

Now here again, God is promising to become our Father if we do separate ourselves from unbelievers. And He will consider us as His sons and daughters if we break off the yoke of fellowship with unbelievers.

“KEEP THYSELF PURE!”

1st Timothy 5:22

.

And so, God is asking us these questions to stir up our thinking regarding our relationship to the world.

.

And the bottom line to this passage from 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18 is that there is a vast difference between the people of this world, and the children of Heaven!

.

We are living in two completely different universes, spiritually speaking. 

.

IN THE WORLD, BUT NOT OF THE WORLD!

.

Oh yes, we are to spread the Good News of Salvation. And yes, we are to shine as lights in this dark world. And there are many situations in which we are to help others. And there will be various work situations and family functions which require us to maintain relationships with unbelievers.

.

But Christ is to be our divine and loving role-model in all situations. And Paul was also given as a human role-model.

.

BEING CHRISTLIKE, A HEART CHANGE

.

But the Bible doesn’t require us to remain worldly.

.

Now this doesn’t mean that we are to go around speaking in “Thee’s” and “Thou’s”, or wearing a white robe and sandals.

.

No, but rather, we are to imitate Christ in the heavenly virtues of charity, patience, kindness, purity, holiness, faith, temperance, gentleness, goodness, etc…

.

.

.

.

.

A GODLY CONVERSATION

.

Listen to Peter…“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;”

.

As this above verse reveals, God is wanting us to be fit representatives of Heaven to a “world in rebellion against the government of Heaven”.

.

And while the worldly church-community encourages us to compromise our godly conversation, so as to become more like the world, this policy will never secure God’s blessings on our evangelistic efforts.

.

REMOVE ALL IMPURITY

.

One last passage is found in Jeremiah 15:19…“Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before Me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as My mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.”

.

As this above verse reveals, God will bless our efforts if we will only purge ourselves from the corruptions found among the professed people of God. And if we will indeed purge ourselves from all worldliness, then God will make us to be as His mouth.

.

And then we can go forth and proclaim the wonderful Good News of Salvation to a dying world, lost in the darkness of sin and selfishness!
