There was a movie many years ago which featured a man who became totally obsessed with finding a certain unknown mountain.

.

And as the movie progressed, the man became increasingly fanatical about finding this mysterious mountain.

.

He sought for it as for hid treasure: as if nothing else in life mattered!

.

And soon, his friends and family began to think that this obsessed man had totally ‘flipped out’!

.

TWO TREASURES

.

The word, “treasure” is found 90 times in the Bible.

.

But there are two different treasures spoken of in Scripture: “the treasures of Heaven” (Colossians 2:3), and the “treasures of wickedness” (Proverbs 10:2) 

.

MANY HAVE LITTLE OR NO FIRE

Now, there are many church-goers who faithfully attend church each week, and yet do not have such a fiery heart of an obsessed treasure hunter.

This indeed, is a very sad situation!

“HE…SELLETH ALL THAT HE HATH!”

.

Listen to our signature passage for today…“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.” Matthew 13:44

This above passage is one of those multifaceted Bible truths. In other words, while it speaks of how Christ sold all to buy His Redeemed ones, it likewise speaks of true worshipers of God who sell all, to buy Heaven!

SEEKING AFTER THE TREASURES OF EARTH

We now live in a cornucopian super-society in which just about any earthly dream is possible!

Yes, the earth is now yielding its strength in the form of earthly treasures!

And the people of this world are busily seeking after those treasures with all their heart!

But the treasures of this present world are worthless, because they will all disappear!

Yes, this very short life which lasts just a few decades is so short, that it’s a complete waste of time to seek after them!

And even if this life lasted several hundred years, it would still be a complete waste of time!

Time passes by so quickly that before you know it, it will all go back to the earth!

THE DEVIL’S TOWER or HEAVENLY MOUNT ZION?

Well, the very Good News is that it is not too late to become like that man in the movie! And while the mountain he sought after is known as “The Devil’s Tower”, the mountain that we are seeking after is known as “Heavenly Mount Zion”!

.

Yes, the world seeks after the treasures of this, the Devil’s selfish world!

.

But those who are wise will seek after the treasures of Heaven!

This above passage sings of Mount Zion, in the sides of the North!

But if one looks to the Northeast in late Summer and into Fall, there is a constellation which God created to be a heavenly picture of the Heavenly Mount Zion. And it is commonly known as Cassiopeia. But God has created it to symbolize the true Zion, which is in Heaven.

Listen…  “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,” Hebrews 12:22

LOCATING HEAVENLY MOUNT ZION

But if the Reader will go out in August and well into November, this wonderful constellation can be seen in the Northeast night-sky.

But don’t wait too long! Because once it enters the western sky, it flips upside down and can no longer be seen as a mountain.

.

Now, this constellation is the very same constellation as the Mount of Blessing Constellation in the Valley of Decision Constellation Group. And it represents the favored mountain to which the people of God are to climb.

MULTITUDES IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION

.

Listen… “Multitudes, multitudes in the Valley of Decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the Valley of Decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of His people, and the strength of the children of Israel.” Joel 3:14-16

.

Now this above passage speaks of multitudes in the Valley of Decision. And if the Reader will look closely, it can be seen that a certain galaxy appears to be climbing up this Mount Zion Constellation. This galaxy is commonly known as the Andromeda Galaxy. And it is made of an estimated trillion stars, which certainly qualifies as a “multitude”!

Apocalypse NOW!

Part 17:

“Love…Shall Wax Cold!”

“And because iniquity shall abound,

the love of many shall wax cold.

But he that shall endure unto the end,

the same shall be saved.”

Matthew 24:12, 13

This above prophetic passage from Matthew’s Gospel paints a bleak picture of the end-time condition of the world. Because of the increase of sin, the love of many shall wax cold!

.

In some Bible translations, the word, “many”, is translated, “most”.

.

And so, an even bleaker picture is presented! “The love of MOST shall wax cold!”

TRIBULATION DENIERS

.

Now of course, there are many who like to call themselves, “dispensationalists” who put this passage from Matthew 24:12, 13 into a future dispensation in which the Church has already been physically removed from the earth, via the so-called “Pre-Trib Rapture”, which has no basis in Scripture.

.

But in spite of those in denial, it can truly be said that today’s signature Bible passage is just now arriving at its fulfillment…“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:12, 13

.

Yes, if one looks around at this sorrowful world, it’s easy to see that Matthew 24:12, 13 is now beginning to see its fulfillment!

UNSAVED MANKIND: “For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.”

Just look around! Hate crimes are now being committed in the name of some religion!

Police being senselessly gunned down because of the growing hatred against them!

Neighbors disrespecting the rights of fellow neighbors!

Racial prejudice is growing within just about every ethnic group!

People’s basic human and religious rights being trampled on, merely for the sake of “political correctness”.

Lawless, rude, and impatient behavior by aggressive motorists sometimes causing deadly “road-rage” battles between those drivers.

.

The current growing political divide is resulting in increasing hatred between the so-called “Conservatives” and the so-called, “Liberals”!

.

The various infectious diseases are increasing the “social distancing” and distrust between humans, for fear of contracting deadly viruses from others!

.

These are just a few ways in which iniquity is abounding to the point that Mankind’s tolerance of each other is waxing cold.

.

This “push-n-shove” world is becoming just too intolerable, causing Mankind’s love to wane!

“FLEE AS A BIRD TO YOUR MOUNTAIN!”

Psalm 11:1

Yes, iniquity is abounding and multiplying at an exponential rate in our societies!

.

And those who must live in the midst of this growing sin and hatred are becoming affected by it! 

.

So, what can be done to assure myself that I too will not lose my love for others: so that my love will not also, “wax cold”?

.

Well, the answer is two-fold.

“HIDE THYSELF…FOR A LITTLE MOMENT!

First, the Bible addresses that issue in the prophecies of Isaiah…“Come, My people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.” Isaiah 26:20

.

This above verse is an encouragement to shut out as much of the societal sin and hatred as possible!

.

The Bible lets us know…“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” 1st Corinthians 15:33

.

“WHEN THE WICKED RISE, A MAN SHALL BE HIDDEN”

Proverbs 28:12

And so, this is why God frames Isaiah 26:20 in terms of “hiding in our chambers”.

Thus, we must shut out as much of the societal din and mire as we possibly can, which is now flooding the airways daily, via the various high-tech media.

.

Therefore, our “chambers” are where God’s people must hide during this current hour in which Satan’s tide of evil is now flooding the world!

.

Christ is the very fulfillment of, “Thou art my hiding place!”

.

He is where we must hide!

.

.

WHY PUT ON OUR ARMOR?

.

Secondly, God’s people must put their heavenly armor on!

.

Yes, contrary to popular opinion, there will be no physical removal of the Church prior to this great tribulation. God’s people must go through this current time of trouble, in order for God to bring His Church to perfection, purified by means of fiery trials.

.

Listen…“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13

.

Now, why in the world would God want His people to put on the whole armour of God, if they will be removed prior to the battle of the great day of God Almighty? Makes little sense!

.

“GOLD TRIED IN THE FIRE”

Revelation 3:18

.

As Job so aptly puts it…“when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10

.

Just as Job’s fiery trials purified him, so too, it is this time of Jacob’s Trouble which will purify God’s people, so that we also may say along with Job…“when He hath tried me (by fiery trials), I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10

“IN THIS WORLD YE SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION!”

John 16:33

.

Therefore, if God were to remove His Church from the coming tribulation, He would be thwarting the very purpose for which He brought His Elect into the world: to be purified by fiery trials!

.

As Paul said…“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:” Romans 5:3, 4

.

Thus, those who insist on some Pre-Tribulation Rapture only show their ignorance of God’s chosen means of sanctifying His people.

TWO-FOLD MARCHING ORDERS

.

And so, O Soldier of the Cross, we have our two-fold marching orders…

.

1. To hide, as far as possible, from the overflowing tide of evil, and…

.

2. To be fully armored!

.

Therefore, this is no time to be seeking after the pleasures and proud, ambitious pursuits of this world! This is the very hour in which God is going to punish the inhabitants of the world!

.

And it is only by becoming fully armored, so that our love can withstand the growing iniquity and hatred now escalating on every side!

LOOSING THE BANDS OF ORION 

.

God spoke several times of Orion, in Scripture. His question to Job was a very mystifying question, to say the least… “Canst thou…loose the bands of Orion?” Job 38:31. Such a strange question, indeed! How could a constellation have its bands loosed, much less, even have bands? Puzzling, puzzling!

.

But now, He is revealing this bright and beautiful constellation in a way that has never before been seen. God Himself is loosing Orion’s bands, as He is just now unraveling this age-old mystery. And we are beginning to understand that this most infamous of all constellations is nothing less than a remarkable metaphor concerning Jesus.

MICHAEL, THE SOLDIER

.

Last is Michael the Soldier, who battles against the Dragon: “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.” Revelation 12:7, 8.

.

Contrary to popular opinion, Michael here represents Christ as He battles this dragon. This will be adequately proven in this article and in various other sections of this website. No, Christ is not merely an angel. Christ is very eternal God. But Christ is often represented as various entities, such as a rose, or a burning bush, as well as many others things in the Bible.

My Yoke Is Easy!

Proverbs 20:28

One of the great lies of Satan is that the life of the Christian is a heavy burden! Or that the life of the Christian is austere and bleak!

.

Of course, neither of these lies are true!

.

Jesus said… “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

.

Now either Jesus is lying in this above passage, or the Devil is lying, saying Christ’s yoke is heavy. And of course, “it is impossible for God to lie” (Hebrews 6:18).

.

So, it must be the, “Father of Lies”, the Devil, who is lying about Christ’s yoke.

CHAMBER OF HORRORS?

.

Another of the greatest lies in Christendom is that our God will eternally torment all rejecters of His grace!

.

Of course, this lie is based on a misunderstanding of proper Bible hermeneutics.

.

Such parables as the Rich Man & Lazarus were taken literally instead of spiritually, thus lending credence to this nonsense that God has some netherworld chamber of horrors in which He will make perhaps 90% of the earth’s inhabitants, past, present, and future, suffer unspeakable horrors through the ceaseless future ions of time!

.

Well of course, nothing could be further from the truth!

“HIS THRONE IS UPHOLDEN BY MERCY”

.

The fact is, our God is a very tender and merciful God, who says of Himself…“Mercy and truth preserve the King: and His throne is upholden by mercy.” Proverbs 20:28

.

Yes, God’s throne will be upholden by mercy, even as is written…“His mercy endureth for ever!” 1st Chronicles 16:34

.

This proclamation is repeated over 40 times in Scripture!

.

Even the Bible says concerning death and the grave…“There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.” Job 3:17

.

“HE DELIGHTS IN MERCY”

Micah 7:18

And so, how could this statement (“His mercy endures forever”), be true if billions of lost souls will be roasting in agonizing flames without any hope of some letup or release!

.

Do you see how ridiculous this old catholic doctrine is?

.

Why, even the Catholic denomination no longer believes that doctrine!

.

But the truth is, we have a very merciful God who “retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy!” Micah 7:18

.

HE “WEEPS WITH THEM THAT WEEP!”

Oh yes, our God is “very pitiful, and of tender mercy.” James 5:11

.

As a loving Father, we can go to Him and cry out for mercy!

.

We can weep in His presence and know that He too will, “weep with them that weep.” Romans 12:15

How could we be so fortunate to have this kind of a God ruling the universe?

If we are discouraged, we can complain to Him, and He fully understands!

And we can even get angry at Him and know that He won’t zap us out of existence (Of course, we should never do this).

The Bible tells us that our heavenly Father is, “touched with the feeling of our infirmities;” Hebrews 4:15

.

How could we be so fortunate to have this kind of a God ruling the universe?

“TOUCHED WITH THE FEELING OF OUR INFIRMITIES”

Hebrews 4:15

God knows how difficult life is down here. In the person of Christ, God walked the dusty streets of this sin-cursed earth.

.

The Devil sorely tempted Jesus. And He fully understands how discouraging life can be down here.

.

He full-well knows that it is difficult to live the Christian life in this world of sin.

.

And so, He doesn’t zap us if we fall into some eating binge or watch some worldly television show.

.

But He patiently and lovingly picks us back up from the dust and sets us once again on our heaven-ward course.

“I WILL GIVE YOU REST…UNTO YOUR SOULS”

Matthew 11:28, 30

Our God is a God of rest.

.

He loves to give rest to His creatures! He loves to give us our space!

.

He wants us to serve Him out of a grateful heart of love.

.

And though He sometimes allows severe trials and troubles, He will deliver us, even if He has to carry us through them, as a shepherd gently carries His lost sheep back home, “in the cloudy and dark day!” Ezekiel 34:12

.

ORION THE GOOD SHEPHERD

And this concept of the Good Shepherd is portrayed in the night sky, in this 5th personality of the Orion Constellation (see “The Orion Phenomena”). And it is a concept which the Lord would have His own people learn and live. God’s people are likewise to become good shepherds too, in our own little sphere. That is, we are to seek and to save the lost, just as we see our Lord doing so. This is part of what it means to follow Jesus. We become imitators of our Lord, the true Good Shepherd.

ORION, THE GOOD SHEPHERD

This star-chart from Wikipedia, has Orion sketched in by the editor of this website. With the addition of a single star, Theta Geminorum (the left hand of the Castor twin of Gemini), the sickle in Orion, the Reaper’s hand (sketch to left), now extends the blade, thus transforming that sickle into the hook of a shepherd’s rod and staff. And so now this little Gemini star becomes the tip of Orion’s Shepherd’s rod & staff. Thus with this additional star, Orion the Reaper Constellation now becomes the 5th personality of Orion: The Good Shepherd (sketch below right). Theta Geminorum is a class A3, 4th magnitude star, which means it is much fainter than either of the stars, Castor or Pollux. But faint as This little star may be, it nevertheless presents a giant concept, turning Orion’s sickle into a shepherd’s rod. And this is a very wonderful and beautiful Bible truth: namely, that Jesus is the Good Shepherd, as is written…

Why does the sin in this world seem to be multiplying at such an exponential rate?

Just look around at all the horrible things now going on?

All the hatred!

.

All the trouble-makers forcing their perverted views on others, destroying anyone who doesn’t capitulate!

.

All the sexual perversion!

.

All the kidnappings of men, women, and children around the world!

.

The senseless killings and beheadings and bombings and shootings and stabbings!

.

All the corporate greed and theft!

.

All the divorce!

.

All the political wars between the various factions!

.

All the religious bigotry!

.

All the racial hatred now evident within just about every ethnic group!

The world is getting so horrible, that if Christ doesn’t come soon, Mankind may just end up annihilating ourselves!

There is a story in Numbers, Chapter 11, about the Children of Israel who lusted for flesh to eat.

And God brought in quail into the camp and made them eat for an entire month until they were totally sick of that meat!

That is, God’s people today seem to be getting our fill of sin and selfishness.

But the Bible has many promises of deliverance for us during this Time of Trouble…“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.” Psalm 91:5-8

SO WHERE ARE THE “MULTITUDES”?…

.

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,” Isaiah 2:2, 3

.

So where are the multitudes in this constellation? Well if you look at this sketch to the right, carefully, you will see an ENTIRE GALAXY making a slow trek up the steep slope toward the summit of one of the mountains. It is the mountain which is to the north in this sketch. This is the galaxy commonly called Andromeda. It is estimated to have possibly a trillion stars! Is a trillion stars a big enough multitude? Oh yes! Listen to God talking to Abraham…

.

“And He (God) brought him (Abraham) forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and He said unto him, So shall thy seed be.” Genesis 15:5 

.

But this mountain in which this multitude of stars is climbing represents a very awesome and wonderful Bible concept. This mountain in Scripture is known as Mount Zion. And it is also known as the Mount of Blessing. It represents that spiritual mountain which Believers must climb, in order to reach the City of God. 

.

Listen to Scripture… “But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem…To the…church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven…” Hebrews 12:22, 23.

.

Well it sure seems that this verse is correct when it says the words… “which are written in heaven”! Because this galaxy in this constellation group is a wonderful picture of the Church as it makes it trek to the summit of this starry mountain; a picture of God’s Church…His faithful people…written in the heavens. These are the Signs of Heaven, promised long ago to be revealed before that “great and terrible Day of the Lord”…

NOBLE BEREANS? “NO, IN NO WAY!”

The Christian community proved that we were NOT of noble stock, like those noble Bereans of old, who, “searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11

The fact is, those who are truly Christians, have an insatiable desire to know any and everything that the Bible teaches!

.

And someone like Harold Camping would only spark a genuine interest in such truth-hungry souls, as this man in this photo appears to possess!

NO SEARCHING HEARTS

No, there was no noticeable, true searching of the Scriptures daily in hopes that this messenger was the real thing! There was no getting ready for Christ’s return! And we had many months to do so, prior to May 21st, 2011.

But instead of genuine concern and humble soul-searching, there was a whole lot of rock throwing! Yes, Camping received a verbal rock-stoning!

.

And this came in the form of a whole lot of mockery! And a whole lot of attempts to “kill the messenger”, as the saying goes! Yes, Camping was accused of being, “in it for the money!” He was called mentally-ill. Or just plain crazy! Or demon-possessed! Or senile!

“THEY THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH SHALL REJOICE”

And then, after his prediction seemingly failed, seemingly, the entire Christian community joined in with the unbelieving world to condemn Camping with one voice!

It was truly amazing to see such a faithless display among those who claimed to be open-minded Bereans!

Of course, we pretty much expected this atheistic world to react as they did.

But when God’s professed people joined in with this unbelieving world to laugh and mock and scorn and verbally stone Harold Camping, those who beheld all this condemnation were truly shocked at the faithless and stiff-necked response by the very people who claimed to be humble followers of Jesus!

.

Yes, there was an unbelievable amount of hard-heartedness among those who claimed to have received a new heart!

“THE LORD SHALL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE”

Well, May 21st came and went, and everyone was happy and felt very justified in their condemnation of the man and his message!

But what nobody considered was, that God had given this as a test for the Church! And we failed miserably!

.

Yes, just like those Old Testament Jewish leaders, whom we love to criticize!

.

And yet, God knew we would fail that test. He merely wanted us to realize just how stiff-necked and uncircumcised we really are, in hopes that we might repent of our undone spiritual condition!

.

WOOD, HAY, STUBBLE?

Well, the Christian community really showed both Heaven and Earth just what we were really made of!

.

And we proved to the world that any messenger whom God might send to us, would pretty much get the same treatment as Harold Camping got!

NOT JUST A WHACKO!

.

After all, Harold Camping wasn’t just some fiery whacko who received a dream or vision or voice!

.

Rather, for many decades, Camping diligently studied the Bible 5 or 6 hours per day, in hopes of uncovering the deeper, hidden truths of God’s Word. And he carefully worked out the math, which resulted in many time-prophecies all pointing to May 21st, 2011.

.

And so, he was merely declaring what he believed the Bible teaches. Therefore, Harold Camping did not fall into the category of a false prophet. At worst, he proved himself just a Bible teacher who had things almost figured out, but not completely.

50 YEAR MINISTRY

And Harold Camping had been faithfully conducting a live call-in talk show for 50 years on his radio network, faithfully broadcasting the Gospel which he loved so dearly, to many nations around the world.

So, this was not a person that should have been so quickly rejected and scorned, as he was!

GOOD NEWS!

Well, the Good News is that God is not giving up so easily on those who claim to be His humble followers. After all, God knew His people weren’t ready for His Second Coming. That’s why the world didn’t end on May 21, 2011. God knew we needed some additional time to get right with Heaven.

Yes, God will have a victorious people! Even if He has to, “of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.” Luke 3:8 Yes, God ca

THIS STAR-CHART: This is a Wikipedia star-chart, in which this site’s editor has sketched in these three constellation (without the Holy-Ghost-Rider Constellation).

Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon. Also notice his eye is a star.It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation. It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west. The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation. The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.

THIS HOLY-GHOST-RIDER

Now one thing that is noticeable and makes this constellation even more dramatic, is the fact that the Milky Way runs right through it.

.

And the question that must be asked is, “What biblical implications does this constellation/Milky Way connection have?” Well, very simply put, if stars represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.

.

WHY IS THIS CONSTELLATION SO INCOMPLETE IN APPEARANCE

.

So why is this constellation merely an outline? Well it does show his back, rear end and leg…and arm. But unlike, say, Orion, this constellation is very vague, even mysterious in appearance. Almost vacant in appearance. Yes this horseman represents Christ.

But even more than this, it represents the Holy Spirit of Christ. And as we all know, the Holy Spirit is very, very, un-intrusive, almost impossible to detect His presence. Hence, this constellation is perhaps the most faint of all the constellations of Signs Of Heaven!

BEAUTY, POETRY, WISDOM & LAWS ALL TESTIFY OF OUR CREATOR!

Instead of arguing about the technical issues in the debate between Evolution and Creation, there are powerful witnesses, all which testify in behalf of a divine Creator.

.

And so, in Part 1 (click here to read), it was put forth that in all of nature, there are four witnesses, which all testify in behalf of the Creator! Beauty, Poetry, Wisdom, and Laws, all stand up and speak so eloquently in defense of nature’s God!

And it would seem, that any doubter or skeptic, who would open his or her mind to carefully consider the testimony of these four very persuasive witnesses, would eventually come to the same conclusion: “There has to be a Creator, who is filled with these same qualities!”

FROM CHAOS TO MAJESTIC!?

After all, how could all the splendor and majestic nobility found throughout nature just be the result of some cosmic accident!

The Bible testifies that Mankind is without excuse for our willing ignorance of God’s existence…“Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” Romans 1:19, 20

Here we see that God is making no excuse for Mankind’s willing ignorance of God’s existence! No, God has inscribed His witnesses throughout nature, which all testify of the Creator’s power and majesty!

HEAVENLY OBJECT LESSON

.

“Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.” Isaiah 24:23

.

When God created the Moon and the stars, He ordained them to “rule the night” (Gen. 1:16). The Moon, especially when it is full, can light your pathway through the night, as it reflects the light of the Sun.

.

So too, the Christian is to be a light to the world: to this sin-darkened world. But as the Moon must reflect the light of the Sun, in order to be a light to the world, so also must the Christian reflect the light of Jesus, to be a spiritual light to this planet in rebellion. Listen…

.

“Ye are the light of the world…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

.

However, during an eclipse, the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, preventing that sunlight from shining on the Moon’s face. This is an incredible object-lesson about when the child of God allows the world to come between him and his Lord. Like the eclipse, that person no longer reflects the light of Jesus, because his or her love of this dark world of sin has eclipsed the light from the “Sun of Righteousness” (see Malachi 4:2).

.

and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”

This third horse seems to correspond to the Dark Ages in which the established churches of Europe made life difficult for the true worshipers of God, by means of anti-Bible laws, persecution, torture, imprisonment, and death.

A COMPOSITE BEAST

.

Listen to the description of this 1st Antichrist Beast…“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon (Satan) gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” Revelation 13:1, 2

.

This beast rose up out of the sea (of nations) in Europe, causing what has been named the Dark Ages. The Bible revealed this beast to continue for forty-two months. Of course, this would have to have been forty-two prophetic, not literal months.

.

This composite beast had various heads, beast-like body components, and horns and crowns, all symbolizing the various kings, and kingdoms which have ruled over the earth throughout history.

BLACK HORSE SYMBOLIZES JUDGMENT

The rider on this black horse held up scales, which obviously symbolized judgment.

.

And the command was given to not damage the oil nor the wine which symbolized not damaging the truth of the Bible.

A TIME OF SCARCITY

.

The announcement “A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny;”

.

(Revelation 6:6) seems to correspond to the carrying on of the Gospel throughout this period.

.

But it seems to be a time of spiritual scarcity symbolized by the measuring out of a scant amount of grain for a penny.

.

SCARCITY & PERSECUTION

.

Now as far as how this corresponds to the individual lives of Christians, it can be said that during our Christian pilgrimage on earth that we must each suffer scarcity and persecution brought on us by the Enemy of Souls.

A TIME OF PATIENTLY WAITING

.

Yes, the bulk of our Christian life can be a long period of patience under the suffering of various physical and spiritual maladies.

.

And as far as those scales, the Christian must tearfully witness the apostasy going on in the church-world, as judgment is brought to bear upon the false brethren who have gained control over the corporate bodies of the local congregations.

.

Yes, this dark horse is just one more part of the workings of the Gospel, not only during history, but also individually in the lives of God’s people. In other words, there is a dual fulfillment here: an historical fulfillment, and a spiritual fulfillment.

FLOOD-WATERS OF SATAN CONSTELLATION

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” Rev. 12:3

In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not. But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars. The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7). And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10). So we have this 7 and 10 numbering. And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent. Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

The Four Horsemen of Revelation 6,

“The 2nd Horse”

“And when he had opened the second seal,

I heard the second beast say, ‘Come and see’. 

And there went out another horse that was red:

and power was given to him that sat thereon

to take peace from the earth,

and that they should kill one another:

and there was given unto him a great sword.”

Here above is the short description of this red horse whose rider was given power to take peace from the earth, and he was given a great sword.

.

Once again, there is great confusion as to what or who is this second horseman. Most theologians and Bible teachers believe this to be speaking of Satan. A few believe it to be speaking of Christ, since Christ Himself testified…“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. ” Matthew 10:34

.

But the words, “Come and see” is a great big clue that this is speaking of Christ, since that phrase is repeatedly used concerning Christ and never Satan.

.

RED SYMBOLIZES BLOODY CONFLICT

.

But God was not going to let us go that easily! And so, through His Divine Son, war was declared on this planet-in-rebellion.

.

And the Gospel of Salvation would stir up Satan and his angels, causing them to wage a relentless war against Heaven!

.

And so, this rider on the red horse is probably referring to Christ, especially since he had been given “a great sword” which is the Word of God, the Bible! (See Ephesians 6:17, etc…)

.

RED ALSO SYMBOLIZES CHRIST’S BLOOD

.

Now this red horse and horsemen apparently symbolizes the second aspect of the Gospel: the life-giving blood of Christ’s atonement for mankind.

But as we read Bible prophecy, we are forewarned that God’s people may also have to spill our own blood, because of persecution.
