Noble Bereans,

Part 52:

“Dead People Speaking!?”

So, in this little series, the subject of those noble Bereans has been introduced…

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica,

in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind,

and searched the Scriptures daily,

whether those things were so.”

AN OPEN-MINDED SPIRIT IN BEREA

.

Okay, so those in Berea were more noble, because they:

.

1. “Received the Word with all readiness of mind.”

.

2. “And searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

.

And so, these open-minded, truth-seeking Bereans were ready and even eager to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed, “orthodox” teachings of that day!

THE FALSE PROPHET

.

Ellen White pin-pointed the Revelation 13 “False Prophet” as being Satan rising within the United States of America.

And this 2nd Beast caused the world to bow down to the 1st Beast of Revelation 13 which was the apostate Church of Rome working in the churches of Europe.

.

Harold Camping on the other hand pin-pointed the “False Prophet” as being Satan as he came as an “angel of light” to deceive the world and the churches through his so-called, “ministers of righteousness”. (see 2nd Corinthians 11:14, 15)

.

And in a sense, both Camping and White are correct. In other words, the correct answer is, “All of the above”.

COUNTERFEIT MIRACLES

.

Yes, Satan’s “False Prophet” is indeed the antichrist spirit which originally rose up in the New World, but is spreading his deadly tentacles around the globe via the fallen apostate churches.

.

And one of the great evidences of this miracle-working spirit is the many counterfeit miracles which the fallen churches are performing.

.

And perhaps the greatest evidence that these signs and wonders are merely counterfeits is the fact that the church-world has become increasingly apostate.

“And he (The False Prophet, 2nd Beast) doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men”

Revelation 13:13

This above verse prophesied of this False Prophet Beast…“and he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men”.

But like so many other prophecies, this one too must be understood spiritually.

.

In other words, what we are now seeing in Christendom is a false, Pentecostal fire in the form of counterfeit “signs and lying wonders”: so-called “tongues”, Falling Backwards, dreams, visions, inner-voices, and such-like. (See 2nd Thessalonians 2:9)

DREAMS

.

For example, take the phenomenon of dreams.

Many faithful churchgoers are receiving so-called prophetic dreams which they attribute to the Holy Spirit.

And of course, this is the work of the False Prophet who deceives these poor lost souls into believing that God is working marvelously through them.

Listen…“And he (the False Prophet Beast) doeth great wonders,

so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth

by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast“

Revelation 13:13, 14

.

This above passage reveals that this False Prophet will deceive men via these counterfeit miracles, making them think they are saved when in truth, they still love this present, selfish world to a great extent.

LOVING THIS SELFISH WORLD

.

Unfortunately, most faithful churchgoers are still conformed to the qualities of this world and have little desire to become totally renewed into the image of Christ.

After all, why would they ever want to become fully converted and fully Christlike?

That would require them to forsake all.

And they have no desire to forsake all, becoming Christlike.

.

But the False Prophet comes to them, giving them prophetic-like dreams and other lying signs and wonders to deceive them into their false sense of security.

.

“COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE”

.

Well, if there is any Good News, it is that God is calling His professed people to, “Come out of her, My people, lest ye partake of her sins and receive of her plagues” Revelation 18:4

.

All who are willing to renounce this selfish world and follow the Lamb to the top of Mount Sion will be counted with the overcomers.

And they will have their Heavenly Father’s true name written in their foreheads (in their hearts).

And that name is defined by the Holy Bible and is the image of true righteousness and holiness.

**In the February 22 devotional (click here to read), it was put forth that this world is “an experiment in selfishness”.**

And really, it doesn’t take much observation to see selfishness in action around the world!

**Selfishness is seen in every direction and seemingly seeps through every pore-and-crevice of this fallen world’s societies!**

.

By nature, we are all selfish.

.

And this, our selfishness, was made even more clearly seen by the coming of the Lord Jesus.

Yes, the spotless life of Jesus was a life of self-denying love for the world, culminating with the sacrificing of His own life on the Cross for the Salvation of lost souls!

“LORD, LORD, HAVE WE NOT…DONE MANY WONDERFUL WORKS?”

Matthew 7:22

Now of course, many will be quick to point to all the humanitarianism now occurring in the world, saying, “How can the world be considered selfish, when we engage in so many charitable deeds?”

So, what about this?

Is it an unfair charge to make against this world, that we are selfish by nature, when we see so many charitable acts of kindness?

“THERE IS NONE THAT DOES GOOD: NO NOT ONE!”

Romans 3:12

But listen to this…“A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. ” Proverbs 12:10

So just who are these wicked ones mentioned in the above verse?

.

Well, listen to 1st John 5:19… “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”

.

So okay, this verse reveals that the entire world is steeped in wickedness.

**And even the “tender mercies” of this wicked world are considered cruel by God.**

MY SUPPOSED GOODNESS ONLY KEEPS THE LIE GOING!

But why are all of this world’s charitable deeds to be considered cruel?

Listen again…“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2nd Timothy 3:5

This above verse is preceded by a long list of Mankind’s selfish ways.

Listen…“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves,

covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,

disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,

incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:

from such turn away.”

Wow! What an indictment against humanity that this above passage makes!

“THE WHOLE WORLD LIES IN WICKEDNESS!”

**And so, if this is Mankind’s self-loving condition, then merely, “having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof”, is just a clever deception!**

A total fraud!

A giant satanic global ruse to give this wicked world a glossy outward sheen!

After all, with all these other sinful traits, can we actually believe that fallen humanity is capable of true godliness…without the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit?

THE FALSE PROPHET IS THIS ANTICHRIST WORLD-SYSTEM

When we get right down to it, it is this counterfeit godliness which is preventing Christ from returning to redeem lost sinners.

And this is because so many humans around the world do not understand just how evil this sad world really is.

**Thus, Satan has created this counterfeit humanitarianism to become an integral part of what the Book of Revelation, Chapters 13 & 20 refers to as “The False Prophet”.**

**Yes, the False Prophet is actually the spiritual entity which now works in the children of men to deceive us into believing that there is a great force for good, apart from Jesus Christ.**

And that is simply not possible!

But God is allowing all this to play itself out on the world-stage, so that it will ultimately be seen that there was never any true goodness in this world apart from Christ.

Yes, it is only Christ’s goodness, as He worked through His true worshipers, even as it is written…

“There is none righteous, no, not one:

there is none that seeketh after God.

They are all gone out of the way,

they are together become unprofitable;

there is none that doeth good,

no, not one!”

Well, in spite of this seemingly hopeless and negative report, there is some very Good News!

Yes, if any man, woman, or child desires to escape all this global madness, the call still goes out to this fallen world…

“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me;

for I am meek and lowly in heart:

and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”

Here is the escape plan of all escape plans: a way of escape from this prison-island…

…out of all this sadness, confusion, and madness…

…and into a life that will continue on through the ceaseless ages…

…filled with true love and kindness…

THE ARK IN THE HEAVENS

So, what importance to us is all this information?

Well, if a person goes out at night, beginning in April (earlier in southern-most latitudes, and later in northern-most), in the pre-dawn hour, they just might locate the constellation commonly referred to as the Sagittarius Constellation .

.

It is located in the southern sky. (Each night it appears a little earlier, slowly inching westward, through the summer, until it finally disappears below the western horizon in November.)

.

At first, it simply appears as two twin birds flying westward.

But if you look once again, it just might appear as a long box-like figure, with one star on the right, as you face it, and two stars on the left.

The box, of course would be the Ark, and the stars on either side would represent angels, which are sometimes referred to as stars in the Bible (for instance, “the seven stars are the angels…” Revelation 1:20).

neither stay thou in all the plain;

**In the Daily Devotional, “Am I A Pillar of Salt?” (click here to read), it was stated that many churchgoers have become like a pillar of salt, spiritually speaking.**

For the most part, those who are still in the churches, have refused, to a great extent, to flee from the wrath to come.

.

Oh yes, most parishioners make some type of claim to have parted ways with the world.

.

And yet, too many still vigorously pursue much of the earthly pleasures and ambitious treasures of this selfish world.

.

A WORLD OF SELFISH PURSUITS

.

The fact is, far too many of us professors of Christ are still immersed in the ungodly influences and pollutions of the world:

television, secular radio and Internet,

clubs, organizations, sports, hobbies,

time-consuming newspapers & magazines,

movies, ambitious careers,

and many other similar pursuits, all to the poverty of the soul!

We’re all settled down and still living for the world to a great extent.

.

Now obviously, it is difficult to totally avoid every worldly endeavor, especially for those who have family obligations. (And a certain amount of the more innocent pleasures and pursuits are possibly necessary for the unsaved family members. And much prayer for great wisdom is required in such cases.)

.

But there must be a constant and on-going repentance in the life of every Believer, knowing that Satan is going to try to pull us back into the world.

SOLIDIFIED CHURCHES

.

But today’s devotional is more concerned with church organizations who have become solidified in their doctrinal beliefs to the degree that they refuse to go any further in the heart purification from unchristlike worldly elements.

.

In other words, the churches no longer strive that…

“all come in the unity of the faith,

and of the knowledge of the Son of God,

unto a perfect man,

unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:”

Ephesians 4:13.

.

FRATERNAL/SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS

.

To a great degree, the church-world is content to be a collection of individual social/fraternal clubs, in which the parishioners can continue enjoying the pleasures and pursuits of the world, and still surround themselves with an outer veneer of religiosity.

.

Oh yes, the more benign and non-threatening verses of the Bible are being preached each week.

But either by word or by example, the leaders of the church are maintaining a quasi-Christian environment in which the more world-loving parishioners can continue to thrive.

.

And the problem with this is that this low-grade of piety influences both the young and old parishioners who might otherwise seek to “walk even as He (Christ) walked”. 1st John 2:6

.

In other words, today’s churches have become like Lot’s wife: a pillar of salt: solidified in their worldly-minded ways!

.

CHURCH-WIDE APOSTASY FORETOLD

.

The Apostle, Paul, warned that this day would come…

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;

but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,

having itching ears;

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth,

and shall be turned unto fables.”

2nd Timothy 4:3, 4

.

Yes, this above verse is speaking of today’s church-world which has become like a pillar of salt and cannot flee to the Mountain (which symbolizes the fulness of Christ).

.

We love our parties, and weddings, and outings, car-washes, sports games, movie-nights and potlucks (which might have been okay, if the conversations at such events were about the Bible, but mostly consisted of worldly conversations).

.

Even those few, once truly faithful Christian radio stations have, as of late, gone steadily backward, right back into Babylonian captivity!

.

“Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul…”

Jeremiah 51:6

Now the Good News in this very sad report is, that God only wanted us to continue in these organizations, fellowshiping until the day in which we were commanded to flee!

.

Listen to the Prophet, Habakkuk…

“And the LORD answered me, and said,

Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables,

that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:

though it tarry, wait for it;

because it will surely come,

it will not tarry.”

Yes, the Chaldeans have surrounded God’s people to the point that “wrong judgment proceedeth” from the various church organizations and radio stations, as it says in Habakkuk 1:4

.

And when the vision begins to speak, then it is time for God’s true worshipers to, “RUN!”, as Habakkuk warns. (read such articles as the little series, “Habakkuk says ‘Run!‘”)

.

Well, that day has already come!

“escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed!”

Genesis 19:17

.

It is now time for God’s true worshipers to vacate these pillar-of-salt organizations.

.

But God has provided heavenly bread and spiritual waters of grace, “upon every high mountain and every high hill in the day when the towers (churches) fall” Isaiah 30:25

.

And for those faithful and righteous “Lots”, who must flee from today’s Sodom, they will be delighted to find that God has provided an abundant supply of heavenly bread and copious draughts of spiritual waters of grace upon those spiritual mountains!

.

But those who refuse to flee will suffer the same fate as Mrs. Lot!

They will become as a pillar of salt, suffering the judgments of God, the moment they look back with desire at their comfortable world-loving religion.

Dear Soul, if any man has ears to hear, then there is hope for that individual! But only in one direction: out!

Don’t look back at those alluring, sensually dressed women singing their sensual-voiced, so-called, “praise” songs!

Don’t look back at all those syrupy-sweet sermons, which encourage going after worldly pleasures and proud pursuits!

Don’t look back at all those funny jokes and entertaining stories by all those charismatic speakers!

Don’t look back at all the nice, warm companionship you once had with those who now stubbornly refuse to flee out of the midst of Babylon!

TWO TURTLE-DOVES CONSTELLATION

LOCATING THIS CONSTELLATION

This constellation appears in early spring in the south.

It moves from east to west during the night and slowly moves to the western horizon by fall.

A “FEEL-GOOD” MOVIE

.

Now, back in the 1960’s, a whacky comedy was created, which became a big hit movie on the “silver screens” around the world…“It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World!”

.

Well, this carefree comedy was a great way of escaping the often grim realities of this truly, “Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World”, for several hours!

.

And in this respect, that “feel-good” Hollywood movie makes a somewhat appropriate introduction to today’s devotional.

.

Yes, you could not only say, it’s a “Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World”, but you might even say, it’s a “Gad, Gad, Gad, Gad World!”

Well, perhaps this above verse is merely speaking of the really bad people of the world. Yes, maybe it’s just talking about those thieves and murders, and druggies, and perverts out there in the dark back-alleys of the world.

But remember what 1st John 5:19 says, “And we know that we are of God, and the WHOLE world lieth in wickedness.”

Yes, this above verse defines just who it is that God considers wicked! Us! All we who still have wickedness in our hearts! Yes, the fact is, we’re all wicked!

EVERY THING BUT THE RIGHT THING!

Now have you ever heard this above saying, “Every thing but the right thing”?

Well, that’s not exactly a Bible verse, but it does indeed present a biblical concept.

.

You see, we citizens of this selfish planet have been doing every thing but the right thing in our daily labors.

.

Oh yes, we must work and provide for our families. But even such animals as sloths do that! And most all creatures take care of their families!

THE DEVIL DOESN’T CARE!

But “the god of this world” doesn’t care if we go to our graves with the reputation of being a hard worker! No, as a matter of fact, that just gives his selfish kingdom a nice shiny outward veneer!

And so, “the prince of the power of the air, that spirit which now works in the children of disobedience”, quite often inspires the world’s citizens to engage in every work but the right work: to lead themselves and their loved ones on the upward pathway out of this world, through the knowledge of Jesus, and the purification of their heart: this is the right work!

.

And those who engage in that right work will automatically take care of every other necessary duty in life.

Unfortunately, most humans neglect that one critically important work and do EVERY OTHER THING, thus, causing their entire life to be built on a sandy foundation! And as the sub-title of this devotional is “It’s a Gad, Gad, Gad, Gad World”, so too, we humans are locked in to gadding about life, looking for the easiest, the most pleasurable, or the most profitable selfish work possible!

.

Oh yes, we may have the reputation of being a “workaholic”. But in reality, most of the time, our work ethics are the product of the Antichrist spirit which dwells in us.

.

Yes, that hard workin’ “god of this world” makes very sure that we do every other work but the right work: the purification of our heart, and the leading of our loved ones out of this selfish world and upward and onward to the Celestial City of God!

OUR DAILY BREAD

Well, the Good News is, that today is still the day of Salvation! And we can beg the Lord to put it into our hearts to joyfully and prayerfully read the Bible each day in hopes of finding more and more about Jesus.

And we can spend our day keeping our wonderful Savior before us in our mind’s eye.

.

And we can devote the rest of our lives in praying for and encouraging others to join the current-day end-time exodus out of this doomed, “City of Destruction”: Planet Earth.

.

And then, with these entirely new motives, we can enthusiastically go about our daily labor, with hearts on fire for Jesus, and minds focused upon His Word!

He That Hath An Ear To Hear,

“Strong Delusion!”

“My pastor is a great Bible teacher! Our church is growing and thriving! God’s Word is being freely preached each week around here! So don’t give me the lie that God is finished with the local congregations!”

.

This above complaint is a common one.

.

It is the indignant response to the call now going out…“Babylon the great is fallen…And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:2, 4

.

This above passage has been greatly misunderstood by the church-world. Confusion abounds as today’s pastors attempt to assign this prophecy to Iraq or Dubai, or some other city of the world. But the fact is, spiritual Babylon is and always has been the name given to the apostate church-world.

“A FAMINE OF HEARING THE WORDS OF THE LORD”

But this website has many articles devoted to this subject. And the reader is encouraged to study those articles in the light of the Bible to gain a solid understanding of these truths.

But what about this above objection concerning whether or not the true Gospel is still being faithfully preached in today’s congregations?

Listen to this…“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.” Amos 8:11, 12

Here is revealed that the time will come when God’s professed people will be cut off from hearing His Word.

HEAR WITH EARS BUT NOT WITH HEART

But has that day of spiritual famine finally arrived? After all, the Bible is still an open Book, or so it seems.

But listen to Jesus…“Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear My Word.” John 8:43

.

Here Jesus was speaking to those who claimed to love and serve God. And yet, they could not hear His Word. Oh yes, they could audibly hear Him. But they could not comprehend the spiritual truths He was presenting!

“EVER LEARNING, BUT NEVER ABLE TO COME TO…TRUTH”

Listen again…“For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2nd Timothy 3:6, 7

.

Here is described, in allegorical language, that false teachers are leading “silly women” astray. Now of course, this must be understood allegorically to make any logical sense. The silly women spoken of here are congregations who are ever learning from the Bible, but never able to truly come to the knowledge of truth. And now that the Holy Spirit has vacated the churches and denominations, it is impossible for parishioners to truly comprehend the deep spiritual message which the Bible teaches!

TRUTH NOW MINGLED WITH LIES

And let’s not forget that the truths being presently taught in today’s church-world are being mingled with the prosperity-driven gospels!

THE HOLY GHOST RIDER CONSTELLATION

.

This newest Signs Of Heaven Constellation (Fall, 2013) is by far the faintest of constellations, but is a very incredible and awesome one in a number of ways (which this article will explain).

.

It is primarily comprised of the Camelopardalis Constellation (head and upper back), plus about 5 stars from the Cassiopeia Constellation (his leg), plus some random stars. It appears as an outline of a rider. Only the back of his head is detailed. And his back and the back of his legs are also detailed. Both sides of his arm are visible, and his hand is gripping the horses mane, and that is detailed by three stars (which are also part of the horse’s mane). The rider is in a position vaguely similar to a race-horse jockey. The two brightest stars in this constellation, are from the Cassiopeia Constellation, and are part of his leg. All the rest of the stars are very faint, and must be viewed on a very starry night.

.

Since this constellation has just been revealed, there may be more to this constellation in the coming months. But if you can locate the Goodly Horse in Battle Constellation, then you shouldn’t have too much trouble locating this Rider Constellation, provided you have excellent star-watching conditions.

.

“HE THAT HATH EARS TO HEAR”

.

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;” Rev. 2:7, 11, 17, 29, 3:6, 13, 22

As you can easily see, this horse has some very big ears. Of course, this presents a very big concept. And since this Rider represents the Holy Spirit, it is obvious that He is leaning close, as if to whisper His words in the horses’ ears. And so what is He (The Spirit) whispering in this horses ears? Well, primarily the messages to the 7 churches, found in Revelation Ch.’s, 2 & 3.

.

But not everyone has ears to hear. Listen to Ezekiel… “Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.” Ezek. 12:2. Yes, the rebellion amongst God’s professing people was great, and they had all but closed their ears from hearing truth.

.

Well it’s the very same problem in the New Testament. Listen to Jesus… “If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.” Mark 7:16.

.

So this Rider whispering into this Horse’s ears is a heavenly picture of this concept… “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;” Rev. 2:7, 11, 17, 29, 3:6, 13, 22.

.

Now the great lesson to be learned, is that there are certain truths, which those who are rebellious in God’s house, will not be able to hear. And these messages to the 7 churches are those very types of messages, that many “Christians” just do not like to hear.

.

And so, what is the bottom line. Well, it would be a very good idea, for each and every one of us to humble ourselves before God, and plead with Him to give us spiritual ears to hear these deeper truths which God is trying to tell us.

Whether we know it or not, or like it or not, we Christians must face the awful truth that we are the current residents of this, Lucifer’s kingdom of sin and selfishness! (see 2nd Corinthians 4:4)

But God has placed us here as a type of, “training and learning school”, for the purpose of purifying our hearts from every trace of love for selfishness, pride or from any other sinful attraction this world produces!

But the Bible prophesied that the hour would come when God’s people are to flee to the mountains, much the same as Lot fled to the mountain from that doomed city, Sodom.

Unfortunately, we live in a day when it is no longer legal to merely set up some mountainous camp like Abraham and later, his nephew, Lot.

MODERN-DAY SODOM

But Satan is now flooding this society with pornography like never before in history!

With the advent of Internet, it is possible for anyone, young and old alike, to simply click a button and view the most heinous images imaginable!

And if that’s not bad enough, just taking children through one of the big box stores becomes Satan’s means of sexually grooming them, via all the explicit signage in the clothing and video isles!

Or turn on just about any FM radio station, and sensual music can be heard by children and adults alike!

But what can we do about it?

How can we and our children ever hope to escape from this flood of evil sweeping over this land?

Our only hope is to flee into God’s “mountain of His holiness”! Psalm 48:1

That’s the only safe refuge and mountainous stronghold available to today’s Christian.

So, how are we to accomplish such a thing? Well, this heavenly Sion can only be climbed by those whom the Lord allows to climb.

And so, this end-time exodus begins with fervent pleading for mercy and grace by the Believer.

Listen…“Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth,

which have wrought His judgment;

seek righteousness, seek meekness:

it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.”

Zephaniah 2:3

**Here we have the solution, not only for us, but also for our well-prayed-for family members.**

We must make it up that mountain our own selves if we ever expect or hope for our family to follow along also!

SIGN IN HEAVEN

Well, If you look up and lift up your head, you just might see a wonderful sign, which God spoke about in Revelation 12.

It is a constellation of a woman.

The ancients only saw it as a great bear.

**It is commonly known as Ursa Major .**

**It is also known as the 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper), but with the addition of various other stars.**

But with the eye of faith, it actually appears as the Revelation 12 Woman.

You see, God has placed in the heavens, the symbol of His bride, the Church-Faithful.

Who would have ever imagined that God had long ago placed the starry constellations in such a precise way, that they would become a heavenly portrait of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

It’s such an incredible idea, that those who do finally discover and confirm these signs for his or her own self, they will no doubt continually marvel at this heavenly gift right up to the time when Christ appears in the clouds of glory!

“WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM!”

But in addition to the sheer wonder of it all, they give God’s people confidence that the Way that He is now wanting them to go has been clearly marked out by these heavenly signposts!

Yes, just as that star long ago guided the wise men from the East to the fore-promised Messiah, these “signs in the Sun, Moon, and stars” are now guiding wise men today, to the long-awaited Return of the Son of Man! (see Luke 21:25)

And so, that first star 2,000 years ago was a forerunner of Arcturus, as this great star now guides its sons (and daughters) in these last moments.

**So, what we need to understand is that “the god of this world”, Lucifer, must cover up the true nature of evil which makes up his kingdom of this world.**

Therefore, as a means of deceiving the world he has raised up this relatively new phenomenon of humanitarianism, making us think that “Oh, we don’t really need God’s love! We have our own love and compassion!”

THE MULTI-HEADED BEAST

What we need to understand is, this multi-headed beast spoken of in Revelation 13, and 17.

This beast has 7 heads.

And the 6th head of this beast is one of today’s prevailing ideologies: atheism with its various satellite ideologies of evolution, psychology, psychiatry and humanitarianism, etc..

When a truth-seeker discovers the true nature of the Antichrist Beast, and what each head represents, he or she can really gain a much greater understanding of this deceptively confusing Antichrist world-system.

But the judgments which are now ready to be poured out will be on a much greater scale!

Well, in spite of this very bad news, there is some really Good News!

Yes, there is a way of escape from this totally evil condition in this entirely wicked and selfish world we live in!

Yes, there is a fountain in which, if a man, woman, or child drinks freely from, that soul can become filled with true love and true goodness!

.

And God is the only source of true love!

.

And so, let’s not wait until that dreadful day to find out the truth; but let’s right now become “wise as serpents, and harmless as doves”, as we begin our heavenward sojourn out of this deceptively evil world! (see Matthew 10:16)

Now having said all this, it must be remembered that God is in ultimate control, even over Lucifer. And though this rebel-from-Heaven has been given temporary authority as “the god of this world”, Satan (Lucifer) can only work within the parameters which God has placed around him.

Oh yes, the 6th head of the Antichrist beast is atheism and its satellite ideologies, such as humanitarianism.

But God is in ultimate authority, even over Satan and his Antichrist regime.

And this truth turns all these matters into a very complex situation.

And it is far too complicated for any of us to make a judgment in matters too high to fully understand.

Nor can we make judgments on any one individual involved in these worldly institutions.

There are many dedicated individuals in these organizations.

And we just don’t know who God may be working to save.

And so, we just can’t make some sweeping judgment.

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven;

and behold a great red dragon,

having seven heads and ten horns,

and seven crowns upon his heads.”

**In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.**

**However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.**

.

But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns.

Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.

.

**The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7).**

**And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10).**

So we have this 7 and 10 numbering.

And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent. Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

Now in yesterday’s devotional (click here to read), the focus was on Ellen White’s comments regarding Orion (which constellation God mentions several times in Scripture).

And she wrote the following statement…“Dark, heavy clouds came up and clashed against each other. The atmosphere parted and rolled back; then we could look up through the open space in Orion, whence came the voice of God. The Holy City will come down through that open space.” {From the Ellen White book, “Early Writings”}

.

Now this statement seems to be not only very cryptic, but very puzzling as well! After all, where in the Bible does it ever say that God’s voice came through that constellation? And where does it ever prophesy that “The Holy City will come down through that open space”?

THE HORSE NEBULA?

Well, many Adventists believe that the great “Horse Nebula” of Orion is that “open space”. And they may well be correct.

.

But there is another aspect to Orion which makes true biblical sense concerning her Orion statement.

THE NARROW WAY & BROAD WAY

.

Well, if the Reader will study the Signs Of Heaven Article, “Orion the Reaper”, it can be seen that the two brightest stars in Orion’s sickle represent “The Narrow Way”, as spoken of in Matthew 7:13, 14… “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

.

Here is a very renowned Bible passage which has, no doubt, sparked many discussions and debates through the centuries concerning this concept of a narrow way and a broad way.

THE TWO WAYS DEPICTED IN THE NIGHT SKY

.

Yes, both the “Narrow Way” and “The Broad Way” are represented in the Heavens. And while the two brightest stars in Orion’s sickle represent the Narrow Way, the two brightest stars of the Revelation 12 Dragon’s wave of water coming out of his mouth represent the Broad Way that leads to destruction. And as this star-chart shows, the Narrow Way stars are much closer together than the Broad Way stars.

A SPIRITUAL MEANING?

.

And so, it makes perfect sense that these Narrow Way stars could very well be what Ellen White was speaking of as “The open space in Orion”. After all, isn’t the “Narrow Way” actually referring to the spiritual doorway that we must enter into to receive our Salvation?

.

And so, Ellen White may indeed have been referring to this spiritual concept depicted in the heavens. In other words, Ellen White was actually speaking of a spiritual concept and not a literal one.

.

THE NARROW WAY IS THE ONE TRUE PATH TO SALVATION

.

Well, those who feel strongly that the great Horse Nebula was what Mrs. White was referring to, may be partly right. But this Orion the Reaper Constellation may actually be what her comment was referring to.

**Nevertheless, the Reader is encouraged to make sure that he or she has truly entered into the true “Narrow Way” (Christ) in their own life. For He is the only true Doorway to Salvation!**

THE NARROW WAY: THE PILGRIM’S PATHWAY

That world-shaking allegory, Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan, picked up the theme of the Narrow Gate. The hero of the story was Christian, a man who was warned to flee from the City of Destruction (the world), and to embark on a journey to the Heavenly City. And along the way, Christian encountered many adventures and dangers. This first of its kind allegorical book absolutely rocked the western world, and became perhaps the first million seller book (along with the Bible).

.

But God has also given this same Narrow Way parable in the night heavens! Incredible? Yes, incredible…and amazing too! And though these two stars can hardly be considered a constellation, but when sitting next to the two stars which comprise the Broad Gate, well, it makes a powerful statement, for the people of God.

.

So please come along on this journey and find out just why this pathway graces the night heavens, and perhaps you might find yourself embarking on your own pilgrimage up that very same Narrow pathway.

LOCATION

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story). Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).

.

And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch below). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

.

This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark). While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions. It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

.

The sketch to left shows, the two doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch to right).

Daily Devotional, Year 4 – February 15

Apocalypse NOW!

Part 25:

“Is the Holy Spirit Being Removed From the World?”

”For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:

only he who now letteth will let,

until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed,

whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth,

and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:”

2nd Thessalonians 2:7, 8

.

Just a quick glance at all the crazy upside-down happenings in today’s world, and any Christian might nervously ask the question, “Is the restraining power of the Holy Spirit finally being removed from Mankind?

.

Have we now arrived at the end of all things?

.

Is the world’s probationary time almost expired?

.

Could His removal be the reason for all the craziness, all the hatred, and lawlessness, and rampant crime now occurring in the world?”

“MY SPIRIT SHALL NOT ALWAYS STRIVE WITH MAN”

.

Certainly, there are Bible passages which seem to suggest that this would happen, just prior to Christ’s Return…

”And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man,

for that he also is flesh:

yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”

Genesis 6:3

.

Or what about this…

”For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:

Well, of course, these two above passages do not specifically detail exactly what they suggest.

Nevertheless, these, along with other similar Bible passages seem to indicate that the Holy Spirit will indeed be removed just prior to the end.

**And let’s face it! “The god of this world”, Satan, appears to be causing greater and greater mayhem and destruction around the world.**

And like never before in history has there been such a satanic pandemic global assault like the one we’re now witnessing all around us!

A SHORT-LIST OF SIGNS OF HOLY SPIRIT’S ABSENCE

.

The tsunami of rampant crime and violence (See Matthew 24:12)

.

**The incredible increase of dishonesty and abject liars in Government and media. (*2nd Timothy 3:1-13***)

.

**The major media now “speak(s) as a dragon” deceiving, dividing, and devolving the morality of society. (Revelation 13:11)**

.

The unwillingness of mayors, governors and national leadership to stop crime in the cities. (See Revelation 16:19)

.

The abject falsehoods now being increasingly taught to schoolchildren, concerning history, gender-confusion, sodomy, and even math!

And teachers are now beginning to openly engage in sex acts with students! (Matthew 18:6)

.

The growing intolerance and persecution of Christians, conservatives, and certain unprotected ethnic groups. (John 16:2)

.

The pandemic rise of sodomy. (Luke 17:28)

.

The ability of nations to control who can buy or sell. (Revelation 13:17)

.

Society beginning to make ridiculous, even insane behavioral demands upon the general populace. (Jeremiah 25:15-17)

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”

Yes, when the persecution of God’s faithful remnant ceased after the Dark Ages, Satan instead began to embrace the Church, causing us to lay down our spiritual armor and “join in the fun with our newly-acquired ‘friend’, the world”!

.

But these “kisses of an enemy” were merely a deceitful trap to render God’s Church ineffectual by our earthly-minded pursuit of the things of this seemingly friendly world. (see Proverbs 27:6)

.

And so, O trembling child of faith, don’t be surprised when the world just keeps getting worse and worse!

.

Sin is a bottomless pit!

.

And it appears that we are soon going to finally witness sin’s true depths, just prior to Christ’s Return, when He rescues us from all this soon-coming madness!

MANY “GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES”!

Well, one thing is for certain: God’s Spirit will never be withdrawn from His true worshipers…

”and, lo, I (Jesus) am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20

Here is a guarantee from God Himself, that He will be with us right up to His literal Return!

And the Christian can take comfort in these and similar Bible promises.

.

Listen again…”for He hath said,

‘I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.’

So that we may boldly say,

‘The Lord is my helper,

and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.’”

Hebrews 13:5, 6

.

Yes, the Bible is literally teeming with such “great and precious promises” as these! 2nd Peter 1:4

.

And every tried-and-true worshiper of Christ can claim these assurances, no matter how crazy things in the world continue to get out there!

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica,

in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind,

and searched the Scriptures daily,

whether those things were so.”

AN OPEN-MINDED SPIRIT IN BEREA

Okay, so those in Berea were more noble, because they:

1. “Received the Word with all readiness of mind.”

And so, these open-minded, truth-seeking Bereans were ready and even eager to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed, “orthodox” teachings of that day!

THE FALSE PROPHET

And this 2nd Beast caused the world to bow down to the 1st Beast of Revelation 13 which was the apostate Church of Rome working in the churches of Europe.

And in a sense, both Camping and White are correct. In other words, the correct answer is, “All of the above”.

COUNTERFEIT MIRACLES

Yes, Satan’s “False Prophet” is indeed the antichrist spirit which originally rose up in the New World, but is spreading his deadly tentacles around the globe via the fallen apostate churches.

And one of the great evidences of this miracle-working spirit is the many counterfeit miracles which the fallen churches are performing.

This above verse prophesied of this False Prophet Beast…“and he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men”.

But like so many other prophecies, this one too must be understood spiritually.

In other words, what we are now seeing in Christendom is a false, Pentecostal fire in the form of counterfeit “signs and lying wonders”: so-called “tongues”, Falling Backwards, dreams, visions, inner-voices, and such-like. (See 2nd Thessalonians 2:9)
