Psalm 1:

“How To Breeze Through The Coming Crisis!”

“Blessed is the man that walks not

in the counsel of the ungodly,

nor stands in the way of sinners,

nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD;

and in His law doth he meditate day and night.”

Psalm 1:1, 2

“NOR STANDING IN THE WAY OF SINNERS”

.

So in the first devotional about Psalm 1 (click here), we examined the command from God, to “walk not in the counsel of the ungodly.”

.

But we must not neglect the second admonishment in Psalm 1…

.

Listen… “Blessed is the man that 1. walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, 2. NOR STANDS IN THE WAY OF SINNERS, 3. nor sits in the seat of the scornful.”

.

And so, in Psalm 1, the second back-sliding step to avoid, is that of, “nor stands in the way of sinners”.

CHRISTIANS TO BE SEPARATE 

.

You see, when a person becomes a Christian, the Lord instructs that man, women, or child to… “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?…Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,” 2nd Corinthians 6:14, 17

.

And so, here is a great big concept which every Christian must take heed to, if he or she expects to have a vital relationship with the Lord.

PURGING THE PROMISED LAND

.

So much of the Old Testament concerned God’s commanding His people against mingling with the heathen nations, but rather to “drive out the inhabitants”!

.

But God was repeatedly giving His people this same commandment, in hopes of really driving home the point about not mingling with unbelievers…

.

Listen… “But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell. Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.” Numbers 33:55, 56

.

As this passage reveals, God is very serious about Christians maintaining a separation from the world, as far as possible.

HABAKKUK SAYS TO “RUN!”

.

The prophet, Habakkuk, was given a vision of the great apostasy in these last days.

.

And he is shown that unbelievers have surrounded and almost swallowed up God’s people to the point that God’s people are no longer able to make prudent decisions…

.

Listen… “Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.” Habakkuk 1:4

.

But when the prophet complains to God about this treacherous situation among God’s people, the Lord reveals the remedy to Habakkuk… “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Habakkuk 2:2, 3

.

And so, as this above passage reveals, Habakkuk’s vision is concerning the last days.

.

And the remedy is to “RUN!”

.

IT’S A BRAINWASHED WORLD TODAY

.

So the question comes down to us today, “Is the vision which Habakkuk saw, now fulfilled? Is the vision now beginning to speak, as it was foretold to the prophet? Is it time to ‘RUN’, as God commands us to do?”

.

Well, just look around! Everywhere we look, the Devil is now coming in like a flood, with TV, Internet and high-tech devices, and so-called, “political correctness”, all in effort to brainwash both us and our children!

.

God’s people are mostly helpless to raise their children in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord”, because of the power of these devices!

.

.

.

.

.

HIDE THYSELF

.

And so, just what does the Bible command us to do? How can we possibly escape this horrible and impossible situation? After all, we just can’t flee to the wilderness. There are simply too many laws prohibiting us from doing that!

.

Listen to Scripture… “Come, My people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” Isaiah 26:20, 21

.

So God will have His faithful ones to seek the shelter of our chambers, to hide ourselves from the approaching storm, till that storm of God’s wrath is overpast.

“THOU ART MY HIDING PLACE”

.

So here is a very important ingredient to how we might just breeze through the terrible storm which is to come upon the whole world.

.

But how are we to hide ourselves? And what chambers are we to hide in?

.

Listen… “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a Rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me…Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in Thy Word.” Psalm 27:4-6 & Psalm 119:114

.

Here is given the formula for breezing through the time of trouble! And here is the hiding place for God’s people in these last days!

ALL FOUR ADMONISHMENTS

.

Yes, if we expect to breeze through the coming tempest, we must hide our self in the shelter of the sheltering arms of the Almighty!

.

And we must not put this off for some future time! For if we wait, we will discover too late, that the door will be closed in the overflowing flood…

.

And so, the great lesson to be learned in today’s devotional, is that all four of the admonishments found in Psalm 1 are equally important, if we expect to breeze right through the coming crisis!

.

REVELATION 12 WOMANTO WHERE DOES SHE FLEE?

WOMAN ROTATES THROUGH THE SEASONS…

This constellation is made of the Big Dipper, also called the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major ). However, the ancient pagan cultures did not see this constellation as God intended it to be seen. It is actually a headless woman in childbirth. This is seen in springtime. It is seen in the northern skies. 

.

.

But as the seasons progress, this travailing woman flips upside down, now appearing as a woman with upraised arms like eagle wings who is running (eventually flying, as shown in sketch on right) into the wilderness (westward). The single star representing her birth-child (Christ) now becomes her head (“Christ is the head of the church.” Ephesians 5:23

.

The 7 Stars (Big Dipper) is easy to see with its very bright 7 stars. But the Revelation 12 Woman (Ursa Major) must be seen on a dark starry night, away from city lights.
