In the first two devotions (click here), the subject of how this opulent, decadent society has “crept in unawares”, and greatly destroyed the purity of the Gospel, causing God’s people to become apostate and spiritually weak!

.

And it was also shown that the Bible counsels God’s people to finally wake up, and flee from this sad and apostate condition!

.

Yes, because God’s people have been pursuing the same opulence and decadence that led to the ultimate destruction of Sodom, we are now seeing Sodom rising up all around us!

.

Even our school systems are beginning to promote Sodomy to students!

FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS

Matthew 24:15, 16

.

Now, in the Genesis account, the day finally came when Lot was warned to, “escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed!” Genesis 19:17. 

.

Yes, the day finally came, when God was ready to pour out His fire and fury upon Sodom and its surrounding cities.

.

And so, God is now allowing Satan to create a similar situation in today’s world.

.

“REMEMBER LOT’S WIFE!”

.

And the call is just now going out to God’s people… “escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed!”

.

But what are we to do? Where are we to flee? After all, this modern-day society does not permit people to merely homestead anymore! And it seems that God has given up the entire world!

.

So just how are we to escape from the destructive forces which are enveloping both us and our families?

.

Listen to Luke’s admonition… “In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot’s wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.” Luke 17:31-33

SODOM RISING!

So what can we do?

.

How can we possibly escape this impossible situation?

.

After all, we and our children are now being smothered by all these high-tech devices and teachings of decadent lifestyles and atheistic philosophies in our school system and in every other area of society!

.

And society is now beginning to insist that we must accept their sin!

.

WHERE CAN WE FLEE TO?

.

But we can’t just flee to the wilderness!

.

No, Satan is now locking up the deserts and forests, making it increasingly difficult and expensive to move to the country!

.

And parents are finding it more and more difficult to home-school our children!

.

And even many of our fellow church members have become so worldly-minded, that they are little or no help!

.

They just tell us that we are worrying too much about these “little matters”!

.

HIDE THYSELF!

.

But God reveals the solution to our problem!

.

Yes, that’s right! The Bible has vital counsel for those of us living in these terrible times!

.

Listen… “Come, My people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” Isaiah 26:20, 21

.

Here in this above passage, the Lord is warning us to flee from the coming storm!

.

Yes, He is telling us to hide ourselves in our chambers, “till the indignation be passed over”!

.

But how can we be hidden in our chambers?

And just what are those chambers?

SEEK RIGHTEOUSNESS, SEEK MEEKNESS

.

Listen… “Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be you shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.” Zephaniah 2:3

.

So those who are meek and have wrought His judgment are counselled to seek after even more meekness and even more righteousness!

.

And by so-doing, it may be that God will hide us in the day of the Lord’s anger!

.

CHRIST, OUR HIDING PLACE!

.

In all this Old Testament advice, we must remember that the Old Testament was the Gospel of Jesus, howbeit, veiled in types and symbols, and shadows.

.

For instance, the ragged rocks spoken of in Isaiah 2:21, are actually speaking of Christ our Rock, as He is revealed in His Word. (1st Corinthians 10:4)

.

So then, can we gather from all this, that Christ is where we must flee to?

.

Listen… “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a Rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me:” Psalm 27:5, 6

.

Yes, it is under the shadow of His wings, in His secret Pavilion, upon that mighty Rock, that we are to take refuge.

.

That’s the only safe place to hide in this fearful hour we are now in!

FULL IMMERSION!

Now, there is only one way to hide, that this website knows of!

No, not full immersion in literal water!

Listen… “That He (Christ) might sanctify and cleanse it (the Church) with THE WASHING OF THE WATER BY THE WORD, That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:26, 27

.

Yes, in this above passage is revealed the true baptism! To be fully immersed in God’s Word! Daily! And combined with unceasing prayer, and separation from ungodly influences, the trusting Christian can ultimately win the victory over the world!

.

This is the essence of what it means to hide in the Lord!

FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS

Matthew 24:15, 16

.

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:” Matthew 24:15, 16 

.

So the above verse is a warning to all those who are living over there in Palestine. “Flee to the mountains!”. And this photo of the mountains of Judea just might be a good place to flee to. But with today’s tracking devices, it probably wouldn’t be too long until they found you. But does this passage have a message for us Christians who are scattered elsewhere around the world? Listen once again…

Notice it says in the above verse, “whoso reads, let him understand”. So there needs to be an understanding of this complex issue. There needs not only to be an understanding of the Abomination of Desolation, but also an understanding of just what it means “to flee”.

HEAVENLY MOUNTAINS

.

Well, as just stated, the Lord has created a constellation which shows a woman fleeing.

.

It is called the Revelation 12 Woman Constellation, also known asUrsa Major or The Big Dipper. So if we explore this constellation in the light of the Bible, there can be a wealth of information discovered on this very topic.

.

So come along and dig into this study. And after reading about this heavenly revelation, you just might find yourself fleeing to the mountains. And maybe, just maybe, there are some much better mountains to flee to, than the ones in the above photo of Palestine!

Mountains in which you can hide, where tacking devices and black helicopters are useless against you!
