The idea of a bucket-list became popularized by a Hollywood movie, in which two elderly gentlemen wanted to enjoy some worthwhile adventures before they died.

And so, they wrote a list of things to do.

Well, in the end, they finally completed the list before they died.
And so, since that popular movie, many people in real life now talk about their “bucket-list”, and what they want to accomplish before they die, giving themselves some satisfaction and closure before their life is over.

Maybe to climb some mountain. Or to go sailing on some lake or ocean. Or maybe to make a snow-angel in the fresh-fallen snow. Or to visit some exotic foreign city. Or to get up and sing karaoke in front of an audience!
This is perhaps one of the most amazing constellations that God has created! It truly looks like a flower, and appears to be blowing in the direction of westward. But as autumn draws near, this constellation appears to bow itself down, just like the flowers of Earth bow down, at the summer’s end.

And these are not merely obscure stars. These are among the biggest and brightest stars in the night heavens!

The Two Turtle-Doves Constellation is also known as Sagittarius .

But there is another obvious aspect to this constellation group. Notice that the birds are flying in the same direction as the flower is bending; it is as if the east wind is blowing these heavenly messengers…

It has become apparent, on this date, that as summer draws to a close, this “Flower of the Field” “Constellation appears to bend almost completely down. This occurs as it travels into the western skies. It somehow rotates in order to produce this effect. This is a very wonderful phenomenon…and biblical too! After all, the Bible says “the grass withers and the flower falls away”. And that’s exactly what this flower constellation seems to do. It almost seems to be bowing itself…in the direction of that bright and beautiful star, “Arcturus” (which represents Jesus). This would make sense. After all, Scripture states…

CITY OF CONFUSION

Babylon was given its name during the building of that infamous “Tower of Babylon”, because God confused their speech…

Listen… “Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.” Genesis 11:9

And so, the name, Babylon, actually means,“City of Confusion”.
The call is now going out to anyone who will listen… “Babylon is fallen is fallen…Come out of her My people, that ye partake not of her sins, and receive not of her plagues” Revelation 18:1, 4

Yes, the time is come for God’s people to make our Exodus out of the“City of Confusion”,the various Christian organizations who have joined themselves together with this Babylonish world. And this is a literal Exodus! And yet, before we can completely come of her, we must come out of her in our minds.

In other words, we still have great confusion about what is truth and what is merely the wine of her false doctrines, that we have been drinking for so many years.
.

But the fact is, today’s mainstream Christianity has become a cult all to itself!

“WHAT!?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN, CALLING US A CULT? WE’RE THE BLESSED PEOPLE OF THE LORD! WE HAVE THE NUMBERS! WE HAVE THE BIBLE! WE BELIEVE ALL THE CORRECT DOCTRINES! WE’RE PRE-TRIB AND RAPTURE-READY! WE DON’T HAVE ALL THOSE FALSE DOCTRINES LIKE THOSE CULTS DO! WE BELIEVE IN A LITERAL HELL OF ETERNAL TORMENT!”

Well, when we really analyze today’s mainstream Christianity, it is discovered to be just as cultish as any other so-called cult! So, let’s take a few minutes to expose the cultish tendencies of today’s mainstream Christianity.

THE WORD, “CULT”
.
First let’s define what the word, “cult” really means. Cult is the root word of the word, “Culture”. It is the traditions and beliefs in which a group of people live and thrive.

And two self-appointed defenders of so-called Christian orthodoxy, Barnhouse, and Martin went about to establish just which denominations were to be considered “cults” and which could be embraced as being “OK”. And so, they wrote a book, Kingdom of the Cults, which became the accepted standard of “what true Christianity is”, and “what Christianity is not”. And surprisingly, while condemning Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Latter-Day-Saints, this book somehow allowed Popism to pass their criteria, which only proves that this book wasn’t truly credible. They decided they must pander and compromise to that incredibly large group.
But the point of this article is not to heap any further condemnation on Popism, nor on Mormonism nor on Jehovah’s Witnesses.

But it is the opinion of this website that mainstream Christianity is by far a more deceptive and a more dangerous “cult” than any of the previously mentioned groups.
.
As already mentioned, the name “cult” is a shortened version of the word, “culture”. And that is what mainstream Christianity has become. It has become a comfortable religious lifestyle for unconverted masses. It has become much like Popism or Mormonism, or any other so-called cult.
And by the way, the name, “Cult” is never found in the King James Bible. It is merely the concoction of the human mind: a product of modern theologians, and not at all from God’s Word!
.
So right here is the very first error of the evangelical “cult”. If they really desired to be “Bible only”, they would simply cling to God’s Word, and stop inventing their own names. “Another gospel”, as found in 2nd Corinthians 11:4, might be the correct choice of names which God has given and approves of.

But since “Cult” is the name that evangelicals have chosen, let’s use their own chosen name in this article.

“EARTHLY, SENSUAL, DEVILISH”
James 3:15

But it’s true that evangelicalism has become a comfortable culture in which unsanctified church-attendees can thrive in spite of their unconverted hearts.
.
For instance, the billion-dollar gospel music industry flourishes within evangelicalism! And one can easily find a “Christian” radio station which plays so-called Christian music 24-hours-per-day! And while today’s Christian music may have quasi-biblical lyrics, most of this music and performance is from a worldly genre.
.
In other words, there is little attempt to imitate the pure music of Heaven.
“So what’s wrong with that? Who cares if a song’s musical style has worldly roots?”, many will ask.
.
For the most part, today’s evangelical music appeals to the sensual tastes of the unconverted Babylonian world! And this is just one reason why evangelicalism has become a comfortable culture! To a great degree, its music appeals to the carnal heart! The unconverted souls within can thrive in such a musical culture. It does not require, nor does it inspire the listener to transform his or her tastes to the standards of Heaven!

Even the more conservative music heard today has often been so heavily syruped with orchestration, and musical filigree, to be palatable to the carnal senses.
There are many who say, “Well, the Bible doesn’t tell us what kind of music that Heaven approves!”
.
Well of course, the answer to this charge is, “Heaven does indeed approve of its own music!”
.
So then, the next question is, “Just what kind of music is heard in the courts of heaven?”
.
And the answer comes back, “The Bible lays down various eternal principles which govern the entire universe! And these principles were to govern this world as well!”
.
And so, that music which is heard in the courts of Heaven would never be trendy or “hip”, or “cool”! That’s for sure! Nor would it ever be silly or mirthful (funny)! It would not be trite nor common! And not shrill, neither pretentious! Never sensual or earthy! Never exalting the performer or the performance!
Now, just what does the Bible have to say about Jesus and His music? Certainly, as we read the Gospels, the few times music was mentioned, it was very simple, in which the disciples merely sang sacred songs, hymns and spiritual songs together.

Listen…“And when they (Jesus & disciples) had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.” Matthew 26:30
.
Very simple and spontaneous was the music which Jesus sang. There was none of the elaborate musical filigree which we hear in today’s music!
.
No, there was only the trembling, faithful voices of pilgrims and saints, joining their voices as one, lifting their hearts up to Heaven in joy and thankfulness to their Creator/Redeemer!
God’s Word says… “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
.
As far as possible, everything we surround ourselves with should be conducive to this transformation of our hearts into the character of Christ and the principles of Heaven!
.
And so, the music we choose should likewise reflect the pure and holy qualities of Heaven!
There is an old saying… “The proof of the pudding is in the eating thereof!”
.
And it only takes a quick glance to see that the more worldly the so-called “Christian” music being performed, the more worldly is the church which embraces it.
.
And statistics show the sad and apostate spiritual condition of today’s church-world.
.
In other words, if all the music performed today is such a wonderful and uplifting benefit, then why has the Church become so apostate?
.
You’d think that the Church would be shining as the Sun! But it’s not!
And yes, God may have winked at these errors in the past.
.
But His desire is for His people to now shine as the Sun, with all the uncompromised light of Heaven, shining down on this Babylonish world!
.
We are commanded to “flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul”, not to stubbornly refuse to leave its pernicious and adulterous ways! (see Jeremiah 51:6)
.
And so, if ever there was a time to compromise with the ways of this Babylonish world, those days are now past!
Well, sensual and earthy music is just one “cultish” aspect of today’s earthy and sensual church-world.

But in that spiritual city, there are those who still love God to a certain degree. And before the final plagues are poured out upon her, God has been and will continue to call His people out of her…“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her (Babylon), my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

And so in addition to The Pleiades appearing as the Harlot Mother, we also see this second depiction of The Pleiades as an angel, which symbolizes God’s people, walking the downward pathway to destruction. They must be called out of Babylon before it’s too late!

Now to the average citizen of this world, this all seems as like complete and utter nonsense! Yes, one of Satan’s (Lucifer’s) last big deceptions is atheism, with all it various companion ideologies (such as socialism, psychology, etc…).

Yes, “the god of this world”, Satan, has spiritually blinded humanity, so that they cannot see the truth! Via his indwelling antichrist spirit, fallen humanity has been imprisoned by their inability to love Christ’s truth found in His Word, the Bible.
“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

Now someone will say,“What do you mean by calling this world a big scam?! After all, we have to eat and live and try to make the best of it in this world! We have to provide for our family’s needs and comfort and yes, even their happiness!”

Yes, yes, yes, all of the above statement is true!

But it is true only to a certain extent!

It is true that we are stuck here in this sad old world! And it’s true that we must try to make the best of things down here!
“Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.”
Proverbs 23:31

Indeed, we must continue to live and eat and drink in this world.

And yet, in this above verse from Proverbs 23:31, the Wise Man cautions us that the intoxicating wine of this world’s earthly pleasures and ambitious pursuits can begin to seem right and even good, if we allow ourselves to be tempted to drink of Satan’s poisonous liquor!
“And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.”
1st Corinthians 7:31

But as Christians, we must strike a delicate balance in this world. That is, while we must live and eat and work in this present world, we must not forget that this planet has been given over to Lucifer and his fellow rebels!
.
We must remember that this world has become his kingdom of darkness! Lucifer’s kingdom of selfishness, if you will. We need to keep in mind that all that is in the world, the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life are not the real thing! It’s all a big counterfeit! It is a big facade! As phony as the proverbial three-dollar bill!

Simply put, this world is Lucifer’s alternative to God’s government of truth and unselfish love! This world is just the opposite! This world is Lucifer’s government of lies and selfish pursuits! False ideologies, selfish pleasures and ambitious endeavors! These are what this world is made of!
And as strangers and pilgrims living on this foreign soil, we have been called out of this Vanity Fair world! Oh yes, we still must eat and drink and provide for the needs of our family.

And yet, at the same time, we must realize that we are standing on enchanted ground (as John Bunyan so well described this world!) We must not breathe in the narcotic-like rapturous mist which emanates up from the pores of this antichrist world-system! Because, it is so very easy to just lay down in Satan’s “poppy field” (this world), and get ourselves lost in one of his vain and selfish dreams!
Now just how do we strangers and pilgrims keep from lying down and forgetting our great commission to seek after a better country, even a heavenly country?

Just how are we to keep walking the pilgrim’s narrow pathway onward and upward into Heaven’s celestial City?

WATCHMEN ON THE WALLS OF ZION!

The Bible warns us…“Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the Master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly He find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch!” Mark 13:35-37

The Bible is to be continually studied each day! The Bible is an integral part of being watchful! It is filled with many similar admonitions such as this above passage! And by unceasing prayer and constant meditation (contemplation) of the Bible, we are to keep ourselves from getting spiritually drowsy!
But it is so easy to aside our prayer/Bible contemplation, and become too focused on this life! And because Satan and his fallen angels are invisible to the human eye, this unseen army are nevertheless stationed literally everywhere in this world.

But the moment we realize that this is the case, we need to immediately wake ourselves up from our drowsiness and spiritual drunkenness, and return to our watchfulness and vigilance!

Listen…“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the Devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 2nd Peter 5:8

Yes, it is by losing our watchfulness that the Devil gains a foothold in our life! Then he breathes his narcotic-like influence over us and causes us to get lost in one of his tailor-made dreams!

FALSE PROPHET & BEAST’S IMAGE

He is the, “spirit of Antichrist” (1st John 4:1-5), that lives and thrives within the hearts of the children of men! He is the great power which energizes and falsely illuminates this fallen and dark world of selfish pleasures and proud aspirations! (See Matthew 12:43-45)
“let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us…”

And so, my dear darling soul, we must make a decided departure out from this hellish kingdom and begin that upward journey out of this world!

And we must let go of anything that is preventing us from making this journey! We must cut away any unnecessary commitments which eat up our time and expend our energy, and begin to make prayer/Bible-contemplation our life’s devotion, throughout our each and every day!

We have everything to lose, and everything to gain! Eternal life! Eternal love! Eternal joy! Our family’s Salvation! All these and much more are hanging in the balance! All these and much more are dependent upon how we choose to live, this day forward!

We must not believe the lie! A watchful Christian is a happy Christian! Life becomes a true joy when we are truly filled with God’s Spirit!

A new constellation has been revealed, as of about May 29th, 2014. This constellation appears as a serpent (snake). Its body is comprised of stars from the Bootes Constellation, and its jaws are made of the four stars which Babylonians saw as the head of Draco, the Dragon. It also has a small single star for an eye.

Now in this constellation is a group of five stars, which will be called “The ‘Five Foolish Virgins’ Stars”.

These are located on the opposite side of the Glorious Crown of 12 Stars (AKA Corona Borealis), from the ‘Five Wise Virgins’ Stars. But one big difference between the two is, that The Five Wise are curved around the Glorious Crown, while the Five Foolish are curved away from it!

LOSING PETALS

Yes, by the time we are 21 years old, without us knowing it, our life quietly begins its downward progression!

And by the time we reach 30, and we might even see crow’s feet burrowing around our eyes. But then by 40, we seriously look older! And on and on it goes!

It’s the death process working in us!

The Bible says… “All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withers, the flower fades:” Isaiah 40:6, 7

Yes, just as it is impossible to stop a flower from losing its petals, so also, it’s impossible to stop ourselves from getting old!
And then there are individuals who have the money to surround themselves with beauty.

But all this is only on a temporary basis. For instance, just consider the glamorous and stately Hearst Castle. All its inhabitants have now been long since removed! Only the silent echoes of its past revelries still resound through the empty halls.

So in truth, we are only renters here, and not actual owners!
Now take King Solomon, for an example of “having it all!” Yes, Solomon was by far, the richest man who ever lived, surrounding himself with beauty and grandeur beyond anything we now can see in the world…

Listen to this man Solomon’s own description of his possessions…“I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards: I made me gardens and orchards, and I planted trees in them of all kind of fruits: I made me pools of water, to water therewith the wood that bringeth forth trees: I got me servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me: I gathered me also silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings and of the provinces: I gat me men singers and women singers, and the delights of the sons of men, as musical instruments, and that of all sorts. So I was great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained with me. And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour.” Ecclesiastes 2:4-10

Yes, King Solomon had it all! Besides being very handsome and intelligent, his kingdom was laden with spectacular walkways made of massive precious stones: all these leading to gilded palaces filled with many beautiful women-of-royalty, all desiring to be with this most infamous of all earthly kings! Yes, Solomon had it all, it seems!
But you know what? Solomon discovered that all those countless pleasures and priceless treasures did not bring him true happiness!

Listen again to Solomon…Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun!” Ecclesiastes 2:11
.
Solomon discovered that all those many pleasures and all that exquisite beauty brought him no true fulfillment or lasting happiness. No, Solomon, by experimentation, was made to realize that the pleasures and treasures of this very brief life only bring, “vanity (meaninglessness) and vexation of Spirit!”

And he saw that there was, “no profit under the Sun!”
Yes, time eventually took away all of Solomon’s treasures!
.
Solomon grew old! And his shiny black locks eventually lost their dark color and bright sheen! And his ruddy, youthful complexion eventually turned into ashen grey wrinkles! And as time passed, instead of walking upright in his kingly pride, Solomon’s back began to bow down! And he began to lose teeth. And he became incontinent! And his voice became gravelly! And his beautiful wives all became old and not so attractive!

And finally poor Solomon himself returned to the dust of the earth!

Listen once more to Solomon…“because man goeth to his long home (the grave), and the mourners (worms) go about the streets (veins)…Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” Ecclesiastes 12:5, 7

And so Solomon concludes by saying…“Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 12:8
Well, there is some extremely Good News here! Yes, even though we may not have been so blessed with personal attractiveness in this life, yet there is great hope! You see, we can choose to follow Jesus, as He leads His sheep up the narrow pathway, which leads to eternal life! And that pathway begins at one’s very own front door! In his or her own heart!

And that pathway leads to a land of unimaginable beauty and love and peace, and joy and contentment! It’s a land “where the roses never fade”, as one old song puts it!
.
And it is a land in which we will be forever young, as another song puts it!
.
And there we will walk firm and upright! And we will never grow full of wrinkles.
.
And we will all have a full set of gleaming white teeth and a full head of hair!
.
And we will, “grow up as calves of the stall.”! Malachi 4:2
.
And the agape love in that land will surpass anything that this sorry old world knows!
.
So the question is, with all these promises of God, what on earth is keeping us from renouncing this hopeless world, and following Jesus up that pathway to the heavenly Promised Land of TRUE eternal beauty: Christ’s beauty?

FLOWER CONSTELLATION BOWS DOWN…

It has become apparent, on this date, that as summer draws to a close, this “Flower of the Field” “Constellation appears to bend almost completely down. This occurs as it travels into the western skies. It somehow rotates in order to produce this effect. This is a very wonderful phenomenon…and biblical too! After all, the Bible says “the grass withers and the flower falls away”. And that’s exactly what this flower constellation seems to do.

It almost seems to be bowing itself…in the direction of that bright and beautiful star, “Arcturus” (which represents Jesus). This would make sense. After all, Scripture states…
.
“…unto me (the Lord), every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear… Bel bows down, Nebo stoops… They stoop, they bow down together… Listen to me… all you remnant of the house of Israel (God’s people)… which are carried from the womb: And even to your old age I am he… even I will carry, and will deliver you.” Isaiah 46″1-4 (condensed)

So this above verse says the everlasting fire is,“prepared for the devil and his angels:”

Now most every Bible teacher concludes that lost mankind being cast into everlasting fire is an after-thought of God, since that fire was originally intended only for the Devil and his angels!

It was only intended for the Devil and his angels.

But now, lost mankind will be cast there too, along with the Devil and his angels!
But there is another interpretation to this verse. Yes, when this verse reveals that the everlasting fire is prepared for, “the Devil and his angels”, it could very well be including lost mankind in the number of the Devil’s angels. That’s right, it truly makes perfect sense that the lost multitudes in this world are considered by Heaven as “angels of the Devil”!

After all, the inhabitants of this world are Antichrists in rebellion against Heaven’s authority! So why is it inconceivable that they are also considered as “angels of the Devil?”

MANY THINGS HARD TO BE UNDERSTOOD
2nd Peter 3:16

Oh no, the Bible doesn’t come right out and say that the wicked and unsaved of the world are numbered as the Devil’s angels. But it must be remembered that God doesn’t always come right out and spell out every truth in the Bible. Many truths are veiled. Many truths have been concealed, only to be revealed at the appointed time.
.
Listen… “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” Proverbs 25:2
.
As this above passage reveals, God has chosen us to be kings. And one of the duties of kings is to search out the things which God has concealed in Scripture.
.
For instance, God does not come right out and condemn gambling. And yet, the Bible is filled with various principles, which when applied to one’s life, leads the Believer to shun gambling altogether!
We have to remember that the name, “angel” can also be translated, “messenger” And truly, the people of the world are in league with Satan, whether they know it or not. They are his “workers of iniquity”. Whether they know it or not, the people of the world are being used daily by the Devil to promote his kingdom, and lead others to reject Heaven.

And Jesus made this following summation concerning the world’s inhabitants… “He that is not with Me is against Me; and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth abroad.” Matthew 12:30
.
So here is seen that all those who have not yet been “Born again” are not neutral, as if they are mere fence-sitters. No, as this above verse reveals. a man, woman, or child is either working for Jesus, or is working against His kingdom! Nobody is neutral!
In this next verse God refers to His own people as angels…

Listen… “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write…because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:14, 16
.
So here we see this cannot be speaking of an angel of Heaven, since angels of Heaven will not be vomited out of the mouth of Jesus! This must be speaking of people! And yet God refers to them as angels.

And so, if God refers to His people as angels, it seems logical that Satan’s people are also considered to be angels: angels of Satan.

THE WORLD LOVES SATAN
.
Listen again as God reveals the true love and worship of humanity for their god… “and ALL THE WORLD wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon (Satan) which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast,” Revelation 13:3, 4
.
So here it is revealed that all the people of the world worship the dragon (Satan).
.
Yes, the people of this world love Satan’s kingdom of selfishness. Thus, their true allegiance is to Satan, whom the Bible refers to as, “the god of this world”. (2nd Corinthians 4:4)
Now here is one more passage which reveals what spirit indwells the people of the world…
.
Listen… “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” Ephesians 2:2
.
So here it is revealed that even we Christians were once filled with the spirit of “the prince of the power of the air, that spirit that now works in the the children of disobedience!”

So while we are now filled with God’s Spirit of truth, yet prior to our conversion, we were filled with the spirit of Satan! The spirit of darkness. The spirit of Antichrist. Yes, we were once indwelt by devils, the spiritual entities that indwell humans!
Now the question must be asked… “Why then are so many people well-behaved, and seemingly very law-abiding?”

Well, two passages come to mind…
.
First, when speaking of worldlings, Paul says… “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2nd Timothy 3:5
.
Yes, the people of the world (and worldly Christians) have a form of godliness. And yet we are commanded to turn away from all such!
.
Remember how the Pharisees and Sadducees were very outwardly correct and even very clean and neat and moral. And yet Jesus called them children of Satan! (see John 8:44)
Now is there any Good News here? Oh yes, there is much Good News! You see, it is still the Day of Salvation. The Ark of Salvation is still waiting with open doors, for each and every person willing to forsake this world of selfishness, and come aboard this Heaven-bound ship!

By forsaking this world and turning one’s feet toward Heaven, that person now becomes a pilgrim and stranger to this world, and becomes a messenger (Greek = “angelos”) for Heaven. No more is that person a loyal citizen of Satan’s government. No more is that person a useful pawn for Satan. And no more does that person worship the Dragon (Satan).

Now that converted soul becomes a citizen of God’s kingdom of love and purity and righteousness and true holiness!

Now that person becomes a child of God. And now that person has forever escaped being cast into the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, prepared for the Devil and his angels.
A new constellation has been revealed, as of about May 29th, 2014. This constellation appears as a serpent (snake). Its body is comprised of stars from the Bootes Constellation, and its jaws are made of the four stars which Babylonians saw as the head of Draco, the Dragon. It also has a small single star for an eye.

Now in this constellation is a group of five stars, which will be called “The ‘Five Foolish Virgins’ Stars”.
.
These are located on the opposite side of the Glorious Crown of 12 Stars (AKA Corona Borealis), from the ‘Five Wise Virgins’ Stars. But one big difference between the two is, that The Five Wise are curved around the Glorious Crown, while the Five Foolish are curved away from it!
Now another incredible aspect to all this is that this snake/serpent is winding its way around the backside of this Crown. And it is traveling in a direction away from the Crown!

And one really phenomenal aspect to this, is that each jaw (composed of two stars each) is pointing in two directions. In other words, if you drew a line parallel with these two sets of stars (the head of Draco), they each go in two directions: one leading to the Valley of Decision Constellation, and the other going straight to the Broad Way to Hell Constellation (AKA Pisces).

Now if one studies the Valley of Decision Constellation, it is soon discovered that the same concept, of the Wise and Foolish Virgins, is also depicted in this constellation group. The Five Wise Virgins being depicted by the Andromeda Galaxy, and the Five Foolish Virgins, looking like a wheel, rolling its way down into the Dragon Constellation!

Now, before this gets too confusing, perhaps we should dissect each aspect individually, to get a basic understanding of just what all this means.

When Lot lifted up his eyes and saw the lush and well-watered country surrounding Sodom, he decided that her affluence was paramount to keeping separate from the ungodly influences that awaited him and his family in that wicked city.

“Teens, confused, sad, and hopeless from living in this mixed-up and perverse society, committing suicide in record numbers!
“And our Information-Super-Highway is fast becoming a one-lane gravel road, barricaded by thought-police, and overrun with scam-artists, perverts, and ungodly and confusing ideologies!”
But truth-be-told, we need to be thankful for all that is happening! Yes, this seemingly horrific situation is actually a terrific blessing in disguise!

You see, all this peace and safety we enjoyed for the past two centuries has been a real bane upon the Christian world.

Yes, that wily serpent-of-old has especially made peace with the Christian community for one and only one purpose: to drown us in all the perdition and destruction which comes from the excesses of opulence and hedonistic pleasures in this sin-sick society!

We’ve been lullabied to sleep! We’ve inhaled the narcotic-laden air in this Enchanted Ground world, and fell into a death-like slumber.

OUR RUDE AWAKENING!

And to add insult to injury, Satan has suddenly pulled out the rug from under us, so-to-speak. Yes, this is Satan’s version of the ultimate rude awakening!

It reminds one of the words of Isaiah the Prophet…“The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?” Isaiah 33:14
O Christian, it seems as if Judgment Day has crept in on us, unawares. It is the hour in which God will divide the sheep from the goats in His Church.

But praise be to God that the door of Salvation is still ajar! Yes, there is still time to come aboard the heaven-bound Ark of Salvation!

And God has allowed Satan to raise up Sodom as a wake-up call to His slumbering sheep!

A DRAMATIC FULFILLMENT!

But it is more than a wake-up call.

Yes, all this rise of Sodom & Gomorrah is a fulfillment of Luke’s prophecy… “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot…In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot’s wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.” Matthew 17:28-33

As this above passage reveals, the days of Lot will be repeated in these last days!
But God is graciously giving us a wake-up call, but also a testimony to the infallibility of the Bible!

This is a wonderful witness to the world, that we are now in the Day of the Lord! While we are still permitted to preach the Gospel of Hope to the world, we must not let this opportunity pass!

We must now sound the clarion call to flee from the wrath to come!
Yes, as in the days of Lot, so it is in the day we are in! Sodom is rising once again!

Show this prophecy to all your unbelieving friends and loved ones! Tell them that it is time to flee to the mountain (Christ), lest they also be consumed! Tell them that the world and all its works are about to be burned up! Tell them to “Remember Lot’s wife!” Tell them to not look back!
.
Tell them that there is only one true hiding place. There is only one place of safety and refuge! Tell them that by forsaking this selfish world, they are gaining an endless world of love and unselfishness! A world which will last forever!

And tell them that they can be forever young in that world to come! Tell them that they can have a love for all: the very same love that Christ has for this fallen world!

TODAY’S PRAYER…
“Dear Lord, Help me to use this opportunity to warn my friends and family and neighbors to flee from the wrath to come, knowing that soon it will not be possible to warn others…
This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story).

Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).
.
And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch to below left). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark). While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions. It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

The sketch shows the two doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of theDragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch to right).

All of a sudden, our “Motherhood, apple-pie, and the flag“ society, has morphed into somewhat of a tyrannical beast, complete with sharp teeth!

And when we read about Internet Goliaths in the form of social media and monopoly search engines stomping Christian websites into oblivion, we feel utterly hopeless!

When the schools begin to promote sexual perversion as the norm, we are amazed!

When eastern religions move in, and begin to take over the very nations which once enthusiastically embraced the Christian Reformation, we are greatly saddened!

The television, the radio, the Internet, newspapers and magazines are beginning to appear like brainwashing machines! The young people pass by on the streets, wearing pagan-like ornaments, and greet us with a growl! We hear their music filled with violence and cursings!
.
We read of unthinkable crimes! Our government is committing financial suicide! Public nudity beginning to be legalized! Unisex bathrooms now replacing the old gender-based restrooms!
.
Children being kidnapped and sold into slavery by the millions! Churches now beginning to embrace the morals of Sodom and Gomorrah!

You could probably sum up the whole world situation today, by merely saying…“judgment is turned away backward, and justice stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” Isaiah 59:14

Yes, justice and goodness and truth seem to be dying, as far as this world is concerned!
It seems as if Christians don’t understand where we are. Yes, we have forgotten that this is Hell. Oh no, it’s not Sheol, the grave. But the loyal citizens of this kingdom of Satan are in the same spiritual darkness as the fallen angels!

And so, just what were you expecting from Hell!?! Did we think that somehow our society had a hedge around it, that Satan couldn’t break through?

Listen… “For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.” Psalms 96:5

Now are we so naive as to believe this above verse does not apply to our nation? Why, there are perhaps more idols in this nation than most other nations! Our idols of fashionable cars! Our idols of expensive homes! Our idols of television, and radio and Internet! Idols of faddish clothes! Our idols of money, and idols of enviable careers, and expensive and lavish resorts! We have our idol musicians, and our sports heroes! And our idols of movie “stars”! Oh we could go on and on, and never run out of idols to enumerate!

The point is, if ever God looked down with favor upon this nation, that day has long since passed!
We must not forget that we are living in an Antichrist world!

The Antichrist spirit of falsehood dwells within the people of this world! Satan is called, “the god of this world”! 2nd Corinthians 4:4

Whether we like it or not, this world and all its inhabitants are living in spiritual darkness and blindness! They are indwelt by the, “prince of the power of the air; that spirit which now works in the children of disobedience.” (see Ephesians 2:2)
The problem is, that we were convinced that this nation was some sort of bastion of justice and righteousness.

Well, even if there is a degree of truth to that statement, our society has been eroding for many decades.

And now the mask has been completely removed, and what we are currently seeing is a nation which we don’t even recognize! We are presently witnessing that the unsaved masses didn’t really care about goodness and justice and righteousness that this nation supposedly stood for!

Yes, O Stranger & Pilgrim, we have been caught sleeping, and now we have had the cold water of reality thrown in our face: that the world around us is just as hateful toward us, as it was back in the early centuries of Christianity!

Remember reading of those Dark Ages when Christians were thrown into the arena to be eaten by hungry lions? Or tortured in dungeons? Or burned at the stake?
.
And it may not be long until the lions may be brought back! And those dungeons! And those stakes!
.
At the very least, we are seeing that buying and selling may become a thing of the past, as far as Christians are concerned!
.
The economic walls seem to be closing in on Christians!
Well, the Good News is, that even though the Holy Spirit appears to be removing His divine protection from the general populace, genuine Believers have the promise… “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13:5, 6

Yes, the Bible has many similar promises that we must cling to during the darkness which is now enshrouding the world.
But actually, we should take comfort in this: that we have been living in a great deception for several centuries.
.
That is, we have been duped into thinking that the world was our friend, far too long! And this shroud of deception has lulled the Church into a false sense of security and into a death-like spiritual slumber for over the last several centuries.
.
And now we are beginning to see that it was all just a cleverly designed ruse, devised by that old Master-of-Deceptions, the Devil!
.
And now, the words of Isaiah are beginning to be fulfilled… “The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the Devouring Fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings…?” Isaiah 33:14, 15
Yes, it is Good News that God’s people will no longer be deceived by this False Prophet society, which has been lulling us to sleep with the soothing strains of its deceptive and devilish lullaby! Yes, it’s Good News that we are now beginning to wake up to the reality that we must flee to the spiritual mountain of God, and hide ourselves in the “munitions of Rocks” (see Isaiah 33:16).

And so, O mighty Soldier of the Cross, it’s high time to get your armor on! It’s high time to be hiding those precious promises in our hearts, though the hour is late! No, it’s certainly not the time to dilly-dally on the enchanted ground of this world of sin and deception!

Yes, it’s time to “RUN!”, as the prophet exhorts. We must, “flee to the mountain”, just as the Lord warned Lot’s family! And as Jeremiah warns… “Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’S vengeance…” Jeremiah 51:6

And as we hear the Lord God say to us… “Come out of her (Babylon), My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

Yes, it is the time when Babylon the Great will receive her just recompense from Heaven. And dear Christian, if ever there was a time to put as much distance as possible between you and the fallen churches, it is now! (But do so calmly, quietly, wisely and prayerfully!)

For those of us who grew up on television, the term, “Good Cop/Bad Cop” was a familiar reference to an interrogation method in which one cop portrays himself as a tyrant to the man being interrogated.

And then, just at the right moment, another cop steps in, and befriends the man being questioned, in hopes of gaining his trust by means of friendliness and sympathy.

Well, this technique has been a very effective method of extracting information from those who are being, tight-lipped!
Well, by looking at this photo, it is obvious that history has been filled with men who enthusiastically enjoyed being the “bad cop”!

And only on that soon-coming Day of Judgment, will it be discovered just how cruel mankind has been in centuries past!

As Isaiah reveals… “For, behold, the LORD cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” Isaiah 26:21

And much of this cruelty has been meted out by the apostate Christian churches of Europe during those long centuries of the fitly named, “Dark Ages”.
And so, it is no surprise that the very same churches which meted out such cruel torture, were also responsible for the false church-doctrine of so-called “Eternal Torment”.

You see, “Eternal Torment” was conceived by this very same apostate religious organization who made sure that anyone who rejected the authority of the “Mother Church”, would be heartlessly and mercilessly tortured!

After all, if the rejecters of His love will be cruelly tormented by God in fire and brimstone for all time and eternity, then those cruel European churches looked pretty good, by comparison!
.
Well, isn’t it true, that to suffer at the hands of mere men for only a few days, weeks, or months until you finally die, is infinitely better than what God will do to them for ever and ever and ever?
But for those who are standing in the Valley of Decision today, it is very confusing to make a decision for or against serving Christ.
.
Because it almost seems as if there are two entirely different Gods in the Bible!
.
Yes, there is the loving and merciful Jesus, who never ever tormented a human!
.
And then, there is that “angry God”, who will mercilessly inflict fiery and painful judgment upon all those who rejected loving Jesus…for ever and ever and ever!!!
Listen… “Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?” John 14:9
.
Here we see that there is no Good Cop/Bad Cop up there in Heaven! Jesus and His Father are one! One in purpose! One in love and mercy!
.
As John says… “God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in Him.” 1st John 4:16
Now, after Jesus has spent countless hours teaching us to love and sympathize and have compassion for the lost and suffering ones in this world of woe, are we to believe that we’re not going to shed even one little tear-drop for the 90% or higher, of earth’s inhabitants, who, supposedly, will be suffering in flames of fiery vengeance throughout eternity future?
.
Sounds rather ridiculous doesn’t it? That’s because it is ridiculous! And unbiblical too!
The problem is, those who believe this old church-doctrine, do not consider all the many passages in Scripture which say such things as…“Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?…For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest, With kings and counsellors of the earth, which built desolate places for themselves; Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver… There (in Hell, or Sheol, or the Grave!) the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest. There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor. The small and great are there ; and the servant is free from his master.” Job 3:11, 13-15, 17-19
.
This passage presents a vastly different picture of Hell, doesn’t it? But modern Bible teachers dismiss this passage as the mere ramblings of a depressed man, Job! But this passage is every bit as much the pure Word of God as is the parable of Lazarus & The Rich Man!
.
And both need to be harmonized to get a proper understanding of the true nature of Hell!
And let’s remember what Paul reveals to us about the infallibility of all Scripture… “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2nd Timothy 3:16, 17
.
So this above passage by Paul reveals that Job’s so-called “ramblings” are every bit as profitable for doctrine and correction as is that parable of the Rich Man & Lazarus!

JESUS: BEST ARGUMENT AGAINST ETERNAL TORMENT

But just look at the life of Jesus! His whole life was all about relieving the sufferings of mankind.
.
So then, how could anyone imagine that this loving, forgiving, and merciful Jesus is going to spend all eternity roasting perhaps 10 or 20 billion lost souls who spurned His love?
.
That’s akin to God saying, “Well, if you refuse My love I’m going to torture you for ever and ever!”
Well, the very Good News is that, “His mercy endures forever!”
.
There is no Good Cop/Bad Cop in Heaven! As Jesus is, so is the Father! And you and I will not be forced to endure, throughout eternity, the painful knowledge that billions are being tormented day and night for all the ions of eternity future!
.
It’s all just the product of the ignorance within the apostate churches about what constitutes true Bible interpretation!
And so, this devotional encourages all to begin to engage in healthy daily Bible study and constant meditation upon the Words of Life.

The Bible tells us… “But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.” 1st John 2:27
.
It is high time that we no longer blindly accept the dogmas of the apostate churches, the unbiblical doctrines of overbearing radio/Internet/TV teachers, and begin to study for our own selves. As it says in the above verse, the indwelling Holy Spirit is well-capable of teaching us all things!

Counting the Sun as the 1st heavenly sphere, the Earth is the 4th heavenly sphere. If we extend our theory (and it’s just a theory) that God created our solar system to correspond to the commandments, the Sun corresponding to the 1st Commandment, then Planet Earth would correspond to the 4th Commandment: the Seventh-day Sabbath.
.
And so, on the very planet that corresponds to the commandment that exalts the idea of “peace” and “rest”, there exists very little peace. And very little rest. Ironic, isn’t it?

And so the 4th member of our solar system, being Planet Earth, will be the host for this article.

When Lot lifted up his eyes and saw the lush and well-watered country surrounding Sodom, he decided that affluence and convenience was paramount to keeping separate from the ungodly influences which awaited him and his family in that wicked city.

Oh yes, Lot probably made vows, when he took his family to Sodom! Lot probably lived in the country to begin with, a-ways away from the immorality and corruption of city-life. But perhaps the city began to expand closer and closer to his family, or outlaws made it impossible to live in the country, forcing them into the city.
“…let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:”
Mark 13:14

But the day finally came when God’s warning came to Lot…“Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.” Genesis 19:17
.
Lot took his wife and two daughters and fled from the impending destruction of Sodom, Gomorrah and the two other cities.
.
But as we all know, it was the constant contact with the sin and sensuality of Sodom which caused Mrs. Lot to look back at her life in that doomed world, and become eternally lost! She became a pillar of salt!
In the mid Twentieth Century, a saying became popular… “You are what you eat!”. This simply meant that if a person ate junk food, then his or her health would begin to suffer.

Eventually, this same saying morphed a bit into merely saying… “Garbage in, garbage out!”
.
Well, this saying certainly presents a truth which is hard to deny! What we eat on a daily basis will have great impact on our future health.
But even more than our physical health, this statement can easily be translated into the spiritual realm. Yes, what we allow our eyes and ears to feast on daily, eventually will become what we are!

And obviously, Lot’s wife allowed herself to become intertwined with all the sensuality, opulence, and materialism which ultimately led to Sodom’s destruction!

GUARDING OUR HEART
.
The Bible presents a huge concept, found in the wisdom of Solomon… “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Keep thy thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.” Proverbs 4:23-27
.
Yes, as this above passage warns, our hearts are the treasure chest of our mind. And whatever we allow ourselves to become enamored with, are the treasures that will be stored in that treasure chest.
.
And so, Solomon is warning us to carefully guard that treasure chest of the heart, by walking wisely and prudently through each and every day!
Unfortunately, the Church has allowed herself to mingle with this very sensual world!
.
Whether it be the sensual love-ballads so often heard in worship services, to the alluring dress-code within the church-world, to the watching of television in the homes of Christians: all these lifestyle choices will have their overwhelming effects upon Christians and their children.
.
Church scandals abound, today! Even pastors and elders are falling left and right! When a church embraces sensuality, a different spirit moves in. And it’s not the Holy Spirit, but a counterfeit spirit, an “angel of light”! 2nd Corinthians 11:14, 15
And even though the adult Christian may or may not see the results of such an intimate merging with the world, the children will be greatly influenced!

Statistics show that young people are leaving the Church in droves or are joining churches which are totally immersed in sensuality!

A REMEDY AVAILABLE
.
And so, the big question is,“Just what can I do about all the sensuality which is flooding society and the Church? How can I escape this Neo-Sodomite culture which is rising up all around the Christian home?”
.
Well, the very first thing we must do, is to follow the advice of the prophet, Habakkuk!
.
Yes, as we see that we are being surrounded and enveloped by all the sensuality and hedonism and Sodom-like opulence, the Lord, through Habakkuk, says to us all… “RUN!”
Nevertheless, there is a place where the Christian can find refuge from the storm! Listen…“Come, My people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” Isaiah 26:20, 21
Listen to this next passage…“Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.” Zephaniah 2:3

Yes, this above verse speaks to those who are true children of God!
.
And yet, it exhorts us to seek even more meekness and even more righteousness, so that we may be hidden in that time of trouble!
You see, O Stranger & Pilgrim, the message for today is to shun as much contact with this ungodly world as possible!
.
No, we cannot come all the way out. But we can come a good way out! By simply turning off our sensual music. By separating ourselves from the sensual and close-minded churches. By immersing ourselves in God’s Word and prayer.
.
By turning off the television altogether, and making our own life into a little Heaven-on-earth.
.
These measures, when implemented, are how we may be hidden!
This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story). Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).

And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch to below left). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.
.
This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark). While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions. It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

The sketch to left shows, the two doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of theDragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch to right).

This above verse from Ezekiel presents a concept which encapsulates today’s church-world.

But it also speaks of the Laodicean Church over these past few centuries since the former persecution against the Church, throughout the Dark Ages, finally ceased.
.
Immediately after the persecution ceased, God’s people began to put the Day of the Lord far off! And they began building grand houses of worship (churches), just as God prophesied…“(the men of Jerusalem) Which say, ‘It (the Day of the Lord) is not near; let us build houses’…” Ezekiel 11:3
You see, when Satan saw that his first Antichrist war-machine was about to receive its deadly wound by a sword (the sword of the Spirit, the Bible), he had a back-up plan already “waiting in the wings”, so to speak.

Yes, this first beast was actually Satan’s political/religious system which reigned over Europe through the Dark Ages. (Don’t forget, beasts symbolize “kings and kingdoms” – see Daniel 7)
.
And by it, he persecuted Christians via the apostate churches, for many long centuries.
But when the newly-invented printing press began to fill Europe with Bibles, no longer could Satan hold those nations captive under a false, tyrannical religious system, through their ignorance, for lack of printed Bibles!

The Bible was that sword which gave the 1st Beast its deadly wound!
.
And while the first Beast employed torture, imprisonment, banishment, scarcity, and poverty against God’s people, this new improved second Beast was the mirror opposite of the first!

CARES & PLEASURES OF LIFE
.
Yes, this second beast employed a completely different strategy against the Church. Instead of famine and wantonness and scarcity, Satan would now begin to flood the western nations with all the things of the earth!
.
Earthly mammon of every type began to be manufactured. Thus was fulfilled the prophecy…“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth…” Revelation 13:11
.
Yes, the natural resources from the earth gave impetus to this second Beast! From industry and business, to the high-tech electronic age, this second Beast cluttered much of the world with materialism in every form! From household goods, to new inventions, to music, to entertainment, to sensual lusts of every conceivable type, Satan would attempt to sweep away Christians by all the cares and pleasures he could possibly invent!
.
And so, as long as the pendulum was going to swing away in a different direction from the stark scarcity of the Dark Ages, Satan would make sure it would swing away as far as possible in the opposite direction: over-abundance!
And it worked! Now the world began to embrace Christians. Instead of coming after Christians with swords and spears, now the secular world came at them with spatulas and meat forks, to invite them over for a neighborhood barbecue!

“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” 1st Thessalonians 5:3
.
In this way, Satan knew he could do far more damage! Now he could merely fill up the Christian community with as many earthly pleasures and worldly aspirations as he possibly could! And by so-doing, he could drown the Church in materialism and hedonistic pleasures.
Yes, when persecution ceased, the Church began to get self-satisfied, lethargic, and sleepy-eyed. No longer did the Church maintain a watchful, vigilance. They began to, “put far off, the Day of the Lord”…

Listen…“Woe to them that are at ease in Zion…Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;” Amos 6:1, 3
.
Yes, this world is a spiritual battlefield! And those Christians who forgot this truth became an easy prey for unseen foes who worked around the clock to destroy unlearned and naïve souls!
And so, by her own carelessness, the churches and denominations began to commit spiritual adultery with the world. Instead of maintaining a separation from the world, they bridged the gap between the holy and the mundane.
.
And among the many excesses which Satan flooded Christians with, music was used in such a way, as to flood the lives of Christians. The Church began reading in such places as Psalm 150 about all the instruments of music in the Old Testament, and took all this literally instead of spiritually as God intended!
.
And as a result, worldly-minded parishioners began to produce elaborate musical productions.
.
A great amount of time and effort was expended to hone their musical craft! And soon, pride, foolish human pride, became a great motivating force behind so much of Christian music! And before long, Christian music began to become just another idol in the hearts of many Christians.
And with the advent of radio, recording machines, and even the new high-tech devices, Christian music soon became as idolatrous as the music of the world. Christians were spending far too much time listening to elaborate productions, which placed great emphasis on the performance, more than on Christ. Many Christian music artists even became idolized by adoring fans!
.
And as a result, the modern-day churches began to enjoy great success when they brought in this new form of idolatry. The more worldly that a church became, the greater the audiences, who came to be entertained.
There is an old expression which goes…“The proof of the pudding is in the eating thereof!” And this saying is very appropriate for today’s devotional.
.
If all this extravagant music empire, which had arisen to power within the Christian community, was such a wonderful thing, then why was the Church of God in such a miserably wretched condition? Why were Christians so worldly-minded? You would think that the Church would be holy and righteous, because of all our music-listening!
.
But statistics show that the divorce-rate among Christians became phenomenal! The ignorance of the Bible among Christians was equally phenomenal! A high percentage of Christian men regularly viewed pornography. Drunkenness and immorality! Most Christian kids attended the soul-destroying, secular schools, which groomed students into atheism and sexual promiscuity!
.
And many other alarming statistics painted an equally dismal portrait of the Church-world!
.
So then, in light of these horrible statistics, we can conclude that all this music listening by Christians did not help, but probably only did much further damage. At the very least, it interfered with personal Bible study.
.
But also, the fact is, when a person listens to ‘sensual’ music, it has a corrupting influence which will undoubtedly cause problems with promiscuity… “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” 1st Corinthians 15:33
And so, O stranger and pilgrim, we must not think that the Christian community is going to repent of all this musical idolatry.

Oh yes, there is hope! But true hope will only be found in one direction…
.
Listen… “And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4
.
Just as the time came for the people of God to make their Exodus out of the land of Babylon, following their 70-year captivity, so too, it is now time for God’s people to make a modern-day End-time Exodus from spiritual Babylon.
.
Oh no, at this present hour we must still work and eat and live and provide for the comfort and happiness of our families. We cannot come completely out of this Babylonish world as yet. But we can come A GOOD WAY OUT!
And what we really need is to see Jesus! We must stand by Him and sing those humble scripture songs. And we need to separate ourselves from the gaudy, overdone, and sensual musical productions which today’s Babylonish churches produce.

“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;” Ephesians 5:19
.
We must get back to the simplicity and purity of the early Church, as we stand fully armored, in this extremely evil day!

And so now this little Gemini star becomes the tip of Orion’s Shepherd’s rod & staff. Thus with this additional star, Orion the Reaper Constellation now becomes the 5th personality of Orion: The Good Shepherd (sketch below right). Theta Geminorum is a class A3, 4th magnitude star, which means it is much fainter than either of the stars, Castor or Pollux. But faint as This little star may be, it nevertheless presents a giant concept, turning Orion’s sickle into a shepherd’s rod. And this is a very wonderful and beautiful Bible truth: namely, that Jesus is the Good Shepherd, as is written…

“As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out My sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.” Ezekiel 34:12

And so God has placed this Starry Shepherd in the winter-night heavens to remind us of His great love for a planet which has wandered away: just like sheep that wandered to where the grass looked greener.
