“Let no man deceive you by any means:

for that Day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,

and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped;

so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,

showing himself that he is God.”

There are many who are looking around at this topsy-turvy world, and asking the question, “Have we arrived at the day which is called, The Day of the Lord?”

.

Yes, there are many unbelievable events and paradigm shifts going on right now in the world which would make one believe that we have indeed reached that great and fearful day, The Day of the Lord!

.

TWO EVENTS MUST FIRST HAPPEN!

.

But the Bible makes very clear… “for that day shall not come, except there come:

.

1. “a falling away first”, and…

.

2. “that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2nd Thessalonians 2:3, 4

.

Now here above is seen that two things must first occur, prior to the Day of Christ: a falling away (apostasy), and the “man of sin be revealed…that he as God sits in the temple of God”.

WHO IS ‘THE MAN OF SIN?’

.

But most people do not understand who or what is the nature of this Antichrist beast! We have been told, over and over again that this Antichrist Beast is a single individual, as it seems to say in 2nd Thessalonians, calling him, the “man of sin”.

.

**The problem is, this verse cannot be understood properly unless we allow the Bible to define who is “the man of sin”…**

LUCIFER CALLED, “THE MAN”

.

Listen to Isaiah…“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!…They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, IS THIS THE MAN that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;” Isaiah 14:12, 16

.

So here, Satan (Lucifer) is referred to as, “Is this the man…?” Yes, Satan is the true Antichrist as he has waged his warfare against Heaven and God’s elect through the various kings and kingdoms which have ruled in the earth, throughout history. And so, Lucifer, empowering these various kings and kingdoms is what composes this multi-headed, multi-horned beast with various other beasts making up his body.

CHRISTIANS ONCE UNDERSTOOD

.

These old engravings properly depict this multi-faceted Antichrist Beast with the Mystery Harlot Babylon riding upon it. Yes, the Christian community of yesteryear knew who this beast was, who for centuries persecuted God’s elect in the form of the apostate church-system of Europe. Oh yes, those popish rulers were indeed part of the Antichrist Beast. And certainly that apostate church and her popish potentates received the deadly wound by God ‘s sword, the Bible. And it is true, that the Romish church seems to have fully recovered from that deadly wound.

But the Antichrist Beast is far more than just one of its heads.

.

A 7-HEADED BEAST

.

Now this is not to diminish the role that this 5th head of the beast has played in Church history and in the history of the world. And this 5th head (popery) is definitely beginning to re-emerge as a big player in the end-time events!

.

But the true fullness of the 1st Beast of Revelation 13 must be realized by beholding all of its 7 heads. Because in these last moments of Earth’s history, this entire Antichrist Beast will stand upon the world stage in all of its fullness, and in all of its sinister, counterfeit “glory”.

BOTH EVENTS FULFILLED

And even though the inhabitants of the world will once again “wonder after the beast”, God’s elect and chosen followers are encouraged to study, study, study, so as to gain a much fuller understanding of this 7-headed Beast.

But the bottom line to all this is, we can now finally see the two events transpiring before our very eyes: 1. the apostasy of the Christian world, and 2. the revealing of just what is and who is the Antichrist Beast, foretold of in 2nd Thessalonian, Chapter 2, concerning what must occur prior to Christ’s coming for His gathered-together people.

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” Revelation 12:3

**In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.**

But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.

.

The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7). And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10). So we have this 7 and 10 numbering. And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent. Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

“And he (the False Prophet) had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” Revelation 13:15

Habakkuk the prophet warns Christians of the corrupting influence of Chaldeans (the unbelieving people of the world). Yes, like never before, God’s people are being spiritually corrupted by the close contact with unbelievers.

.

Nevertheless, Habakkuk foretells of the day when God tells His people to “RUN!”

EVIL COMMUNICATIONS CORRUPTS

1st Corinthians 15:33

Now, we don’t know all the reasons why we are to run. God may have some reasons not yet revealed.

.

But we do know a good many reasons!

.

For instance, as Habakkuk says…“Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.” Habakkuk 1:4

.

Yes, with such close contact with unbelievers, it is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid being corrupted by such things as the high-tech devices which young and old alike are now addicted to. And by just a little bit of improper judgment, the Believer can now drum up ungodly images on the Internet which could never before seen, so easily!

SATAN’S MIND-CONTROL CENTER

With the advent of television, radio, and high-tech devices, this society has become Satan’s giant mind-control center. The situation in this society has become so incredibly evil, and yet Christians seem to be in a spiritual stupor, not being spiritually alert enough to realize just what great trouble we are in.

.

SCHOOLS: MIND-CONTROL

.

Satan has molded this society in such a way that our children are forced into schools which aggressively attempt to convert them into becoming secularists.

.

And don’t think that Christian schools are a viable alternative. In the first place, they are mostly very expensive. And even if a Christian can afford one, most of the private Christian schools have mingled so much of the world into their curriculum, that they are little more than an extension of the world. And the state governments have loaded so many requirements on Christian schools, that the Bible is almost takes a back-seat to the overwhelming secular curriculum now being taught!

A TALKING IMAGE

The prophet, Habakkuk has foretold of this day, when Satan would be permitted to exert his power and influence so greatly upon the minds of the world’s inhabitants, that it is virtually impossible to escape his deadly mind-control system…

But also listen to Revelation speak of a talking image… “And he (the False Prophet) had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” Revelation 13:15

.

Just think of it! How in the world can Christian parents raise their children to truly love the Lord, and truly live for Heaven in this current mind-controlling society? From worldly-minded schools to television and radio, to the ungodly music, to sports and amusements, to the high-tech devices! These all fill our minds with the characteristics of Satan, gradually conforming us into his image!

INDOCTRINATED!

And so, it is just about guaranteed that if a child is allowed to indulge any one or more of these forms of idolatry, it won’t be long until that child is totally unreachable for any heavenward calling!

HABAKKUK SAYS “RUN!”

.

For those parents who actually do awaken from their spiritual slumber, there may be some great hope. God has not left us without a way of escape.

.

You see, the prophet, Habakkuk tells us to “RUN!” And yes, if you can afford to move to some country location, then by all means do so!

.

But there is a much safer place for the Christian parent to “RUN!”

.

LIVING WATERS UPON HILLS AND MOUNTAINS

.

Listen…“And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.” Isaiah 30:25

.

You see, Isaiah here is speaking in veiled, allegorical language. But basically, the mountains spoken of here, are the “everlasting hills” (see Genesis 49:21). And the waters spoken of here are the “living waters” which spring forth from God. (see John 7:38)

.

Listen… “His (God’s) foundation is in the holy mountains…all My springs are in Thee.” Psalm 87:1, 7

.

Yes, here is where we must “RUN!” Here is where we must hide! These are the mountains to which we must flee! And as Isaiah 30:25 says, there are abundant living waters on these holy mountains and everlasting hills!

But just how do we go to those mountains?

FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS!

Listen again to Isaiah…“In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; To go into the clefts of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of His majesty, when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth. Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?” Isaiah 2:20-22

.

Now here again is veiled allegorical language to give us a picture of how and where we are to “RUN!” You see, as this above passage reveals, we are to cast away our idols and flee to the clefts of the ragged rocks.

.

**And just where are the clefts of the “ragged rocks”? God’s Word is where those clefts of the ragged rocks happen to be. Yes, we are to fully immerse ourselves in God’s Word.**

DISCIPLESHIP REQUIRES ALL!

But God requires us to forsake our many idols, before we can fully immerse ourselves…

Listen to Jesus…“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:33

**Yes, God is calling for disciples to, “Come and follow Me”, But He is not allowing us to bring our earthly idols along with us!**

A FORSAKING WITHIN

.

Now if we have a family, then our forsaking will be accomplished in our heart. In other words, if I have a family, they probably are not going to allow me to give away all our possessions (even single Christian Believers should not give away their belongings). And so, the true Believer’s spiritual journey must begin in his or her heart.

.

And even though we must continue to live and work and provide for our family’s needs and happiness, we will secretly be on an upward heavenward sojourn of the heart! And so, we will soon be traveling upward into the hill-country which Isaiah speaks of! And we will discover the abundant living waters which Isaiah 30:25 speaks of!

MANY PRECIOUS PROMISES!

Now just how does my new spiritual sojourn help the horrible situation of my family in this mind-controlling world?

Well, the Bible has plenty of promises, such as this one… “Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in His ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.” Psalm 128:1-4

LEAVING BABYLON

.

The main point to today’s devotional is just this: The Christian community has polluted itself by mingling itself with this idolatrous, Babylonish world. It has become a compromised church-world. And as a result, God’s pillar of fire has long ago departed.

.

And now, God is calling His people out of spiritual Babylon, the fallen “towers” (churches). But more than just calling us out physically, God is also calling us to come out in our heart! Therefore, God is calling us to come and purify the Most Holy Place of our heart. He is wanting a purified people. And for those who finally and fully overcome, there will be plenty of blessings in store!

And just think of it! Could there be anything more wonderful than to one day walk through those heavenly gates and along those streets of gold (faith & love), hand-in-hand with our family?

WIDE & NARROW GATES IN THE HEAVENS

.

As the opening verse says, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

.

So what are these two gates all about? And how can I choose the right door? Well, just read this article and these questions and more will be answered.

But before we explore these questions, let’s take a look at why these two sets of stars represent these two biblical gates.

.

(This sketch, while not 100% accurate, gives a fair portrayal of how this constellation group appears at winter’s end and even into June, when above the western horizon.)

HOW THE GATES RELATE TO ORION & DRAGON

.

This sketch below is when these constellations are in the eastern sky in early winter (However, this constellation group can even be seen as early as July, in the pre-dawn hours). In the eastern sky, it’s not so easily seen which gate the Revelation 12 Woman will enter. The Wide Gate is made of the two brightest stars of this Wave of Water Constellation. Satan spews out the deadly water of his false worldly ideologies; which many of these ideologies have a form of godliness, but in some way are not in harmony; or perhaps these worldly ideologies add to the Bible, which is strictly forbidden (see Deuteronomy 4:2).

**On the other hand, the Strait Gate (narrow gate) is composed of the two brightest stars of the Orion The Reaper’s sickle. The true Strait Gate represents Jesus, the Word of God.**

What most Christians are not aware of, is that the Book of Revelation is all about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s why it is titled, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ”. Revelation 1:1

.

And why is there so much confusion about Revelation?

.

The problem is, like so much of the Bible, Revelation is written in types and symbols. And the greater portion of the Church has been locked out of most all the Book of Revelation!

.

NOT SEARCHING THE BIBLE

.

For instance, if the average evangelical church-goer wishes to discover what locusts represent in Chapter 9, they cannot simply do a word-search about locusts. If they did, they would soon discover that locusts represent God’s judgment on worldly-minded Christians as their earthly as well as spiritual riches get “eaten up” in various ways.

.

But because they are locked out, they vainly search newspapers, trying to interpret Scripture by the daily news! And so, they may decide that those prophetic locusts will actually be something like black helicopters.

.

THE GOSPEL IN TYPES & SYMBOLS

.

And so, because of this devilish hermeneutic which prevents them from spiritualizing away all the types and symbols found in Revelation, the vast majority of church-goers cannot discover that Revelation is merely the Gospel of Jesus Christ, howbeit veiled in Old Testament types and symbols.

Now let’s examine another component of this composite beast in Revelation 9: scorpions…

“TAILS LIKE UNTO SCORPIONS”

.

Listen… “And they (the composites beasts) had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.” Revelation 9:10

.

This above verse is part of the description of the composite beast in Revelation 9.

.

So just what do scorpions represent in Scripture?

CHASTISED WITH SCORPIONS

.

Listen… “And (Rehoboam) spake to them (Israel)…saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.” 1st Kings 2:14

.

OK, so Rehoboam, the King of Judah made this threat against the Northern Tribes of Israel that he was going to lay upon them a much heavier yoke than His father, Solomon did! And as if Solomon’s yoke wasn’t heavy enough, Rehoboam’s yoke would be even heavier, chastising them with “scorpions”!

DWELLING AMONG SCORPIONS

.

Now let’s dig a little deeper and find out if there is any further information about scorpions… “And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them (the children of Israel), neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 2:6

.

OK, so here we see just what these scorpions represent: God’s rebellious house!

.

And so here is another piece of the puzzle in understanding the Gospel found in Revelation’s types and symbols.

APOSTATE CHURCHES ARE A CHASTISEMENT

.

And our association with the apostate portion of the Church will be a chastisement with scorpions, as we suffer the slander and gossip and judging and world-loving ways of the apostates which have ruled over the Church throughout the New Testament history.

.

Yes, even back in the Dark Ages, God’s faithful remnant were scourged by the apostate churches which ruled over Europe in those days!

.

God’s people were banished, tortured, imprisoned, burned, beheaded and deprived of the Bible and lived under her (the Mystery Harlot’s) false doctrines for many centuries!

CHASTISEMENT NECESSARY FOR SALVATION

.

And so these scorpions and locusts begin to give us a picture of the nature of this composite beast of Revelation 9: it represents the chastisements and tribulations which God brings upon His people, the Commonwealth of Israel, which is made up of both Jews and Gentiles.

Listen…“And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on My name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is My people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.” Zechariah 13:9

.

Yes, God must send His people through the fiery trials and tribulation required to burn away our earthly dross, so that we eventually come forth as pure gold, just as Job proclaimed… “when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold!”

THE HOLY GHOST RIDER CONSTELLATION

.

This newest Signs Of Heaven Constellation (Fall, 2013) is by far the faintest of constellations, but is a very incredible and awesome one in a number of ways (which this article will explain).

.

It is primarily comprised of the Camelopardalis Constellation (head and upper back), plus about 5 stars from the Cassiopeia Constellation (his leg), plus some random stars. It appears as an outline of a rider. Only the back of his head is detailed. And his back and the back of his legs are also detailed. Both sides of his arm are visible, and his hand is gripping the horses mane, and that is detailed by three stars (which are also part of the horse’s mane). The rider is in a position vaguely similar to a race-horse jockey. The two brightest stars in this constellation, are from the Cassiopeia Constellation, and are part of his leg. All the rest of the stars are very faint, and must be viewed on a very starry night.

Since this constellation has just been revealed, there may be more to this constellation in the coming months. But if you can locate the Goodly Horse in Battle Constellation, then you shouldn’t have too much trouble locating this Rider Constellation, provided you have excellent star-watching conditions.

THIS STAR-CHART: This is a Wikipedia star-chart, in which this site’s editor has sketched in these three constellation (without the Holy-Ghost-Rider Constellation). Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon. Also notice his eye is a star.It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation. It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west. The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation. The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.

What if someone told you that a great image of the Valley of Decision, spoken of by Joel, the Prophet, was up in the night-sky?

Would that make you nervous? It probably would, wouldn’t it?

.

But the fact is, the Valley of Decision is much closer than that!

.

Oh yes, it is even much closer than that Valley of Megiddo, over in there in Palestine!

VALLEY COMES TO US IN OUR HEART!

You see, the Valley of Decision comes to us right in our very own heart and mind!

.

It is a valley that each and every man, woman, and child must walk through in his or her lifetime! And it can come at any time in one’s life. Perhaps even on the very day prior to a fatal accident!

.

For the unbeliever, it is “the true Light, which lights every man that comes into the world.” John 1:9, which beckons him to “Go and sell that ye have, and come and follow Me.”

.

And for the one who has already begun to walk the Pilgrim’s Way, to follow Jesus, as a disciple, the Valley of Decision can still yet come to that person, asking the question… “Are you willing to forsake all, and follow Jesus even into that death-to-self, which kills all earthly desires? Are you willing to trade that “self” for the incredible Agape love of Jesus?”

GOD’S PLAN OF REDEMPTION

Since Mankind’s fall from grace, selfishness has taken over, and rules over the hearts of this earth’s inhabitants. And we became a world of lost sinners.

But in His great mercy, God desires to redeem the human race back to Himself.

Unfortunately, we are so hopelessly caught in the web of sin, that not one of us is willing to return to God. We love this world of selfishness too much!

.

But God reveals the Exodus of His people out of this world of sin in the very 1st Commandment…“I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.” Exodus 20:2, 3

.

Here is the way that God brought us out of the world of sin, which He spiritually refers to as “the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage” Exodus 20:2

THE 10 PLAGUES UPON EGYPT

.

Now of course, it was no easy task to remove His people from Egypt. Pharaoh was not willing to let them go.

.

And so, God began to bring a series of plagues upon the Egyptians as a means of loosening up their tight grip on God’s people.

.

And eventually, with the last severe plague, Pharaoh finally did let them go, but was later destroyed in the Red Sea in hot pursuit after them. He still couldn’t just let them go!

.

THE 7 PLAGUES OF REVELATION

.

Now, in the 16th Chapter of Revelation is foretold another series of plagues. But instead of 10 plagues, there are only 7 plagues. Nevertheless, these plagues are extremely similar in nature to the plagues poured out upon Egypt as recorded in Exodus.

.

And yet, in spite of this similarity, modern-day theologians do not fully understand the connection between these two sets of plagues.

.

Nevertheless, the nature of the 7 plagues of Revelation is virtually the same as the Egyptian plagues: to bring God’s people out of, “the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage”.

“LET MY PEOPLE GO”

.

The plagues poured out in Revelation 16 are similar to those poured out upon the Egyptians in the Book of Exodus. But what was the purpose of pouring out those plagues. Listen to God as He speaks to Pharoah through Moses and Aaron…“Else, if thou refuse to let My people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:” Exodus 10:4

.

This was the promise of plagues, and was repeated with the various other plagues.

.

But the point is, these plagues were to cause Pharoah to finally allow God’s people to leave Egypt to serve God alone, no longer held in Bondage to slavery. Likewise, the plagues prophesied in Revelation are to drive Satan (the true King of Egypt) out of the hearts of God’s people, allowing His people to serve God and God alone!

.

And so, this whole nonsense that all the torment and plagues mentioned in Revelation are for the mere sake of causing fallen Mankind to suffer is a product of unsanctified theologians.

THE LAND OF EGYPT

.

Yes, this world is still the land of Egypt and the house of bondage. And Christians are nonetheless held in slavish bondage to sin and Satan. And God must deliver the 7 last plagues in attempt to pry His people loose from the tight grip which Pharaoh (Satan) has on God’s people.

THE OLD MAN IS ACTUALLY SATAN

.

**Now several times in the New Testament, Satan is referred to as “the Old Man” which still exists within the hearts of God’s people. (see Ephesians 2:2)**

**But God must destroy that Old Man, so that “the New Man, created in righteousness and true holiness” can finally flourish and reign over the hearts of God’s people. (see Ephesians 4:24)**

.

THE OLD MAN MUST BE CRUCIFIED

.

And it is only by suffering the torment of these 7 last plagues that God’s people will be freed from that Old Man of sin: he must be crucified out of the human heart!

VALLEY OF DECISION CONSTELLATION GROUP…

Look eastward in the early summer through fall. Find the Cassiopeia Constellation. Cassiopeia is the Mount of Blessing. In the sketch, it is the farthest mountain to the left. In the sky, it is the northern-most of these three mountains when facing eastward. It resembles a pyramid. Then find the next pyramid to its right (south). Then go a little further south to the next third pyramid. The third snow-cap is the Destroying Mountain Constellation. These three pyramids are the snow-capped portion of these three mountains in this sketch. (of course, you won’t see the snow-caps in the sky. They are just an embellishment in this sketch to present a concept-EDITOR).

They appear in mid-summer in the eastern skies in pre-dawn hours. These are made of Cassiopeia (mount on left), and various stars from the Andromeda Constellation (valley) Pegasus (Mount of Cursing (middle mount) & Destroying Mount (right)), and Pisces (Broad Way to Hell). The galaxy which appears to be climbing the Mountain of Blessing is the Andromeda Galaxy.

Part 8:

“These Things in the Churches”

THE FOLLOWING DEVOTION IS AN EXCERPT FROM THE SIGNS OF HEAVEN ARTICLE… Mark of the Beast–“They Have No Rest, Day Nor Night”

.

“I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you

these things in the churches.”

Revelation 22:16

.

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:” Revelation 14:9, 10

Unfortunately, today’s earthy and sensual churches have been deceived by a very crafty Devil!

.

***“And what”, you ask, “is that deception?”***

.

**Satan, “the god of this world” (2nd Corinthians 4:4) has introduced a false, unbiblical hermeneutic into those churches which demands a literal interpretation of the Bible, as far as possible.**

.

And so, by this totally non-biblical hermeneutic, their teachers and theologians have locked up a great portion of the Bible, because a great portion of it (the Bible) must be understood allegorically.

REVELATION IS FOR AND ABOUT THE CHURCHES

.

One very tragic example of this is the sealing up of the Book of Revelation. Yes, the general consensus today is that the last 19 chapters of Revelation is not for the Church, but for literal Jews. In other words, Satan has successfully locked out a great portion of professing Christians from understanding that book.

.

And so, when they read the following verse, “I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.” Revelation 22:16, it does not register with them that the Book of Revelation is actually for and about the churches. In reality, it is a composite of the entire Bible. And the entire Bible is for the Christian, whether Jew or Gentile. But the Bible is largely written in veiled allegorical language. And the sensual, world-loving churches just cannot see the spiritual nature of Revelation…

THE NATURAL MAN

.

Listen to what God says about carnal church-goers… “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1st Corinthians 2:14

.

Yes, the sensual portion of the Church simply cannot understand that when Revelation speaks of “Jews”, it is actually speaking of all true Christians, both Jew and Gentile alike! Such an idea is blasphemy to the apostate portion of the Church.

.

They ignore what Paul says…“That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” Ephesians 2:12, 13

.

This and so many other passages from Paul’s Epistles, refer to Christians as the true Jews, and the true “Commonwealth of Israel”. But Satan is using the theologians of the apostate portion of the Church to wage war against this truth! They will, “seduce, if possible, even the elect.” (Mark 13:22)

.

Therefore, Satan is very intent on keeping much of the Bible, a closed book, including the Book of Revelation.

.

TORMENT OF REVELATION 14:9

.

**Now, since time is short, it is necessary to “cut to the chase”, so to speak, as far as this devotional is concerned.**

.

Today’s devotional is concerning the torment meted out in Revelation 14…

.

Listen… “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:” Revelation 14:9, 10

.

Now this above passage has traditionally been understood to be speaking about abject unbelievers, and their punishment during the very last days prior to Christ’s return.

TORMENT OF THE LUKEWARM

.

But this above passage is really speaking of the punishment of lukewarm Christians. That’s right! God will allow Satan and his evil angels to torment God’s people who have greatly neglected our commission to purify our hearts and conform our lives to the life and character and holiness of Christ.

.

The entire world will turn against such Christians. They will be assailed from every direction and by every weapon in Satan’s arsenal! Family, friends, the government, high-tech devices, evil angels, dreams, and whatever else the Prince of the Power of the Air can use against Christians will be implemented to accomplish God’s ultimate purpose in purifying His people and killing their love for this selfish world!

Oh yes, Satan meant it for evil, “but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” Genesis 50:20

.

But what about unbelievers? Won’t they too be punished?

.

“NO PEACE (REST) UNTO THE WICKED”

.

Well in a sense, unbelievers are being punished each and every day, because they have no rest unto their souls. Unbelievers have no true spiritual rest, whether it is night or day. And oh yes, in the very last moments, unbelievers still living will be terrorized to see their beloved antichrist-world-system crumbling all around them.

.

But for the most part, unbelievers, both secular and “religious” will not be punished. After all, what could be the purpose of God to torment them? It serves no purpose to torment a human for the mere sake of inflicting pain. They have no eternal life, and so, that is their punishment. “The wages of sin is death!” Romans 6:23

.

GOD’S ROD IS NOT ON THEM

.

As the Book of Job reveals…“Wherefore do the wicked live…Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them…They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.” Job 21:7, 9, 13

.

As this passage reveals, all the abject unbelievers and false brethren in the churches will only enjoy prosperity and peace! It would serve no purpose to torment them. Their punishment will be to lose their own soul! Eternal death is their eternal wages! And so, in a moment all such will go down to their grave, their eternal resting place. Their thoughts will all perish, and they will have no more portion in life.

.

And so, they will enjoy this selfish world right up to the moment when they realize that this world is falling apart.

And even then, their terror will be just for the moment.

GOD’S SHEEP WILL SUFFER

.

And all the while that God’s true sheep, as foolish as we have been, will be suffering the intense cruel torment which will ultimately purify their hearts from every trace of carnal dross, so that they become as purified gold!

And as they pass through the tribulation fires, the apostate portion of the Church will be told that these suffering ones are merely fools, or mentally unstable.

PSALM 73

The following psalm encapsulates the information given in today’s devotional and delineates between true worshippers and the mere worldly-minded in today’s church-world. While the true worshippers suffer daily, the worldly-minded enjoy prosperity…

7 STARS IMITATE THE CROSS OF ORION

.

This phenomenon begins in late October, in the pre-dawn hours. It then begins a little earlier each night, and lasts for several months, until they both appear to lie down once again.

.

This Wikipedia star-chart to the left, has this Orion Constellation sketched in. You must locate Orion, when it is mid-sky, between east and west. You’ll be facing southward most likely, unless you are far south. Try to imagine it as a Cross on a steep hill. The 3-star belt of Orion becomes the crest of the hill. The 3 very faint stars that make up Orion’s head become the very top of the Cross.

.

Next, locate the 7 Stars Constellation. This 7 Stars Constellation is seen by facing northward. It stands upright a little later in the night. Eventually, Orion will lay down and no longer be seen as an uplifted Cross! Beginning in November, the 7 Stars (AKA Big Dipper) can be seen as a Cross a little bit later in evening.

**When you are comfortable in locating Orion & The 7 Stars Constellations, then show a friend. This can be a great witnessing tool!**

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,

This above passage from Philippians gives us a taste of what that wonderful chapter 4 is all about! And if that 4th Chapter were to be given a name, many might call it, “The Prescription For a Peaceful and Contented Heart Chapter”. Yes, this very uplifting chapter gives us the recipe of the necessary ingredients for perfect peace and faith-filled contentment in the Believer’s heart!

And since today’s devotional is all about how to overcome the feverish lusts which so often ensnare Christian souls, in this cornucopia of a society, let’s continue to explore this subject for a few moments!

LOOKING BACK ON SODOM

.

**In yesterday’s devotional (click here), it was focused on the desperation and feverish lusts which take captive so many Christians!**

.

Yes, many of us naively look back on the lusts and pride of this cornucopia society, and think that we too must also pursue these same vain world-loving pleasures and meaningless earthly treasures!

.

And so, as a result, today’s church-world has mingled the common things of the world with the holy things of Heaven! Even the so-called conservative churches are filled with Mammon-loving pursuers of the same pleasures and cares which the world goes after!

.

THE ROOT CAUSE OF OUR CANCER

.

So just where do we look for the deep-seated root cause of this terrible crisis which has been like an aggressive cancer within the Christian community?

.

The big reason why we have been feverishly and desperately seeking after the vain and selfish things of the world is that we have forgotten (or never understood) what our great commission was: to become fit representatives of Christ to this selfish Mammon-loving world!

.

Yes, God has elected us out of the world to become transformed into His image and likeness, so that the world might be convicted of their selfishness and indifference and sinfulness!

DECEIVED BY ‘THE gOD OF THIS WORLD’

.

**But “the god of this world” has successfully diverted us from our high and holy calling, and deceived us into becoming lukewarm pretenders!**

.

Instead of rebuking the world for their folly and selfishness, exposing them by the light of our godly example, we have instead gone head-long after the same folly and the same selfish lifestyles of this lost world!

.

RENOUNCING THIS EVIL & SELFISH WORLD

.

When Jesus called His disciples, He plainly told them…“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:33

.

Jesus is being perfectly clear about the basic requirement to becoming a disciple: to forsake all that we have, and follow Him out of this hopeless world!

.

‘FAMILY DUTIES’ MERELY AN EXCUSE FOR SEEKING WORLDLY RICHES?

.

Of course, if we have a family, we have to provide food and warm covering for them. And as far as possible we will try to make them content and happy. And so, to a certain extent, we must pursue the things which will provide for the needs of our family.

.

The problem comes in when we begin to go so aggressively after these things that we put our “great commission” on the proverbial “back-burner”. We allow our hearts to become overcharged with the cares and pleasures of life. And this is when desperation and lust begin to show up in our hearts.

PAUL’S WARNING IGNORED!

.

Listen to this warning by Paul… “And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.” 1st Timothy 6:8, 9

.

Now here’s a verse which has been mostly ignored by Christians! “And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.”

.

“Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth”

2nd Timothy 3:7

.

And so, the great cancer which has all but destroyed today’s church-world, is that the vast majority have never forsaken all that we have (in heart), and therefore have never become true disciples of Jesus.

.

Oh yes, they may regularly attend church. We may pay our tithes and offerings. We may even do a 15 minute Bible study each morning! But as soon as they leave church, their hearts turn once again to their other gods: the gods of pleasure and Mammon. And as soon as we close our Bibles, we forget all about what we have just read!

.

No, our minds are all revved up and ready to charge back into the world, in pursuit of so many of its vain affections and lusts!

THE GOOD NEWS!

.

Now the very Good News is that there is a remedy for our spiritual poverty. And this prescription for restoration is found in the Book of James…

.

Listen…“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God…Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.” James 4:4, 8-10

.

So here is our prescription for the healing of our sin-sick soul! The question to be answered is this: “Am I willing to take this prescription? Am I willing to part ways with this selfish order of things? Am I willing to become a poor and despised disciple and follower of Jesus?”

NEEDS VARY FROM PERSON TO PERSON

Now, having said all this it must be emphasized that the needs of each Christian differ, one from another.

.

Those with families who are unsaved must pray for wisdom to make sure that they adequately provide for the happiness of their household. And none of us should judge others who may have greater financial needs and seemingly more extravagant lifestyles.

.

Let’s just look in our own mirror and stop worrying about what others are doing!

.

MERELY A PIECE OF THE PUZZLE…

And this devotional is a simplified prescription for personal victory. But the Reader is encouraged to study Philippians Chapter 4:4-9 very carefully to the point of knowing those chapter verses by heart.

Because that chapter is a big piece of the puzzle in understanding the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and just who He is!

THE SWINE: “LUST OF THE FLESH”

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” 1st John 2:16

This article will introduce this third beast-like face, inscribed in the Moon: a swine. And it will be shown that the three beast-like faces in the Moon, represent the concept taught in the above verse concerning “the lust of the flesh…the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life”.

It has become apparent that the second face in the Moon, besides appearing as a wolf-like beast, also appears as a Swine. Let’s explore this concept, for a moment. First of all, when a person sees the second face up in the sky, it’s arguable whether or not it looks like a swine.

But it must be conceded that the photos do indeed make it appear as if this character has a “sawed-off” snout like a swine. And of course, a swine is spoken of quite frequently in Scripture.

Daily Devotional, Year 2 – AUGUST 28

The Heart,

.

Part 3:

“Desperately Wicked!”

“The heart is deceitful above all things,

and desperately wicked: who can know it?

I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins,

even to give every man according to his ways,

and according to the fruit of his doings.”

Jeremiah 17:9, 10

.

Unfortunately, long ago, the medical community mis-named the blood pump, calling it “the human heart”.

.

And ever since, there has been confusion over what the Bible is referring to, when it speaks of “the heart”.

.

But there needs to be no confusion, as the Bible says numerous times, such things as “the thoughts and intents of the heart”.

.

**Yes, the Bible clarifies itself by speaking of the “thoughts of the heart”.**

.

The heart is actually the treasure chest of the mind.

DESPERATELY WICKED!

.

So now, having clarified that, we can go on to our signature Bible passage for today…“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:9, 10

.

This is one of the most incredible passages in the Bible because it reveals the condition of the heart of each and every human on the face of this planet…“desperately wicked and deceitful above all things!”

.

What a pronouncement! What an indictment! What a terrible revelation of the human condition! “Desperately wicked and deceitful above all things!”

.

REST UNTO YOUR SOUL!

.

**Now, the Good News is that God is just now leaving the door of mercy ajar, for any thirsty soul who wishes to drink in, the soul-refreshing draughts of the purifying water of life.**

.

Yes, the Bible makes many similar invitations, such as this…“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

.

WOW! What a promise! To find, “rest unto your souls”!

ESAU’S DESPERATION

.

But notice what God, through Jeremiah says, that the human heart is “DESPERATELY wicked.”

.

The hearts of the people of the world are desperately wicked.

.

Look at Esau, who got so desperate for a meal that he was willing to trade his eternal inheritance to his brother for that meal! (see Hebrews 12:16)

.

MY OWN DESPERATION!

.

But before we get too indignant against Esau, let’s examine our own life!

.

Have I ever been desperate? Did I ever become so desperate to have something, that it becomes an obsession? Maybe a new computer? Or a new romance? Or a new car or house? Or even a good meal?

.

But the Bible gives this admonishment…“Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6, 7

.

Here above, the Bible gives the recipe for peace: to not become feverishly lustful about anything!

.

**And so, when the Bible says that the heart is “desperately wicked”, it really pinpoints the condition within so many of us!**

.

IS THERE A REMEDY?

.

Now just what can an individual do, when trapped in such a desperate heart condition?

.

Just how can I return to the Lord, and return to the “peace that surpasses all understanding”?

.

The Book of James has the remedy for all such world-loving spiritual cancer…

.

Listen…“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?” James 4:4, 5

.

Let’s stop right here for a moment and reflect on these words…“The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?”

.

Notice here, that lust and envy are the product of a spirit within us! And this is not speaking of the Holy Spirit. It is speaking of an evil spirit, the, “Prince of the Power of the Air, that spirit which worketh in the children of disobedience!” Ephesians 2:2

.

ANOTHER SPIRIT!

.

And so, dear soul, if I think that my desperation for the things of this world is just a minor issue, I had better do some serious re-examination of the Bible!

.

Because if I possess the spirit of desperate lust and envy for earthly possessions and attractions and proud pursuits, then I might just be filled with the Spirit of Antichrist!

.

Or at the very least, being tempted in my heart by Satan!

.

GOD’S GRACE IS GREATER!

.

But fortunately, James offers great hope!

.

Let’s continue on hearing the remedy which James offers us…“But He giveth more grace!” James 4:6

.

Now here is great hope! God is willing to give us grace to overcome the spirit of lust, and desperate covetousness!

.

A LIFE OF REPENTANCE & CONTRITION!

.

So, let’s continue on in hearing James’ remedy…“Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.” James 4:8-10

.

Yes, God gives grace to those who are willing to humble themselves before Him!

.

And this passage lets us know that the road to recovery is one of humbling ourselves and begging and pleading for God’s mercy and grace to overcome our desperate desires, no matter how innocent they may seem to us!

NOT A 24-HOUR STINT!

.

And for those of us who have been on the road of repentance, we can assure any newcomers that we’re not talking here of a 24-hour repentance!

.

No, the Christian experience is a life of continual repentance and contrition and trembling before a Holy God!

.

But let’s not despair! Even in the midst of our sorrow for sin, God can give us bright beams of joy.

.

And He will strengthen our spirit and give us, “songs of deliverance”. Psalm 32:7

.

VICTORY TO ALL WHO PERSEVERE!

Now, for all those who refuse to give up our fight for Christlikeness, the day will come when God plucks us out of the miry clay, and sets us upon a Rock, and puts a new song in our mouth!

And on that day, our hearts will become pure, “even as He (Jesus) is pure!” 1st John 3:3

.

And we will begin to, “walk, even as He (Jesus) walked!” (1st John 2:6)

Daily Devotional, Year 2 – AUGUST 27

As The Flower of the Field,

Part 6:

“For Rent Only!”

“Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.” Ecclesiastes 4:6

.

Many years ago, a young man walked into a little corner grocery store, in which the old man behind the counter was a bit of a philosopher.

.

Well somehow the conversation turned into somewhat of a lecture on life, from a philosophical vantage point…

.

“You know, son, you really never own anything!

.

“Uh, well, I own my car and my house.”, answered the young man.

.

“No son, you don’t really own those things.”

.

“Well, what do you mean? I have the title of ownership on both my car and house.”

.

“Oh yes, you have those two pieces of paper, which say you are the owner. But you really don’t own them! You’re just the temporary custodian of them. Eventually, you will part with them both. As a matter of fact, everything you have will eventually go back to the earth, or will be taken away from you, one way or another.”

.

So the young man began to comprehend what the old man was saying.

JUST CARE-TAKERS

.

As we look around at the world, we see many people who possess very little of this world’s goods. But there are also many who have great possessions: houses, lands, cars, boats, recreational vehicles, and many other things.

.

Now each and every one of these possessions needs care and maintenance. And the more possessions one owns, the more caretaking is required. And some caretakers have a whole lot of caretaking to do!

.

And so, what it all amounts to is this: We are merely care-takers of all our possessions. They are simply given us on loan, by God, if you will. Oh yes, we may labor night and day for years to finally obtain those possessions. But we really don’t own them, because they will eventually all be taken away from us!

.

BODY & SOUL ON LOAN TOO!

.

Now even our body is on loan, and eventually will return to the dust. Our looks will deteriorate. Our strength will weaken. And slowly but surely, nature will pull our bodies back to the earth.

.

And even our very soul has been given on loan from God! And someday, God will bring us before His Judgment Throne to give account of how we spent our time on earth: did we care and nurture our soul as good caretakers, or did we mostly live for the pleasures and cares of this life?

RENTING A CASTLE

.

Here are two pictures of the famous Hearst Castle. Beautiful, isn’t it?

.

A very rich man had it built almost 100 years ago. Oh yes, the man had a clear title of ownership of this magnificent estate. But he wasn’t really the owner! No, he was merely the custodian of this amazing piece of palatial real estate. Because the owner is now long gone, and the State of California is now the present care-taker of this property.

.

But California doesn’t really own it either. They’re just taking care of it, while it still stands. But one day soon, this castle will crumble or burn or disintegrate. And so, nobody truly owns it! They’re all just the renters and care-takers for a while!

JESUS’ EARTHLY POVERTY

.

When Jesus came to earth, He lived a life of poverty. He had no possessions. And yet He worked each day to contribute to His own earthly family, especially once His father Joseph died.

.

And once Jesus began His ministry, He called to His Disciples to forsake all and “Follow Me”. And as it says in Luke 5:11, “And when they left their ship they forsook all, and followed Him.”

.

OVERCHARGED WITH CARES & PLEASURES

.

Now today, there are many Christians who have a home, and a car, and furniture. And this is quite all right.

.

The problem comes in when Christians living in this cornucopian super-society, decide to put their Salvation ‘on the back burner’, as the saying goes, and pursue with great gusto, the many goods and possessions of this selfish world.

.

One problem with this is that the more possessions one accumulates, the more caretaking is required. And the more caretaking one must labor at, the less time is spent on the furtherance of the Gospel. Less Bible-study time. Less prayer time. Less share-time, etc….

.

LISTEN TO THE WISE MAN…

.

Listen to the Wise Man… “…the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.” Proverbs 5:12

.

Well, the Bible is filled with warnings against seeking earthly riches, and this above verse is just one of many!

.

The point to all this is that God is offering us true ownership. Not only does He tell us that we will “inherit all things”, but we will finally get a brand-new spiritual body, which we will never lose. We will finally become owners…forever! And forever young!

.

WHY CARRY A HEAVY BURDEN ON MY BACK?

.

And so, dear darling soul, why in the world would I want to over-burden myself with a whole lot of caretaking of things that don’t really belong to me, and will someday all be taken away, when I could instead be using my time pursuing things that will never perish?! This is just basic logic!

.

God is offering us eternal riches! He wants to give us heavenly riches that will be ours forever! Even for ever and ever!

.

This is perhaps one of the most amazing constellations that God has created! It truly looks like a flower, and appears to be blowing in the direction of westward. But as autumn draws near, this constellation appears to bow itself down, just like the flowers of Earth bow down, at the summer’s end.

And these are not merely obscure stars. These are among the biggest and brightest stars in the night heavens!

But there is another obvious aspect to this constellation group. Notice that the birds are flying in the same direction as the flower is bending; it is as if the east wind is blowing these heavenly messengers…

This occurs as it travels into the western skies. It somehow rotates in order to produce this effect. This is a very wonderful phenomenon…and biblical too! After all, the Bible says “the grass withers and the flower falls away”. And that’s exactly what this flower constellation seems to do. It almost seems to be bowing itself…in the direction of that bright and beautiful star, “Arcturus” (which represents Jesus). This would make sense. After all, Scripture states…

A DETACHED DEITY?

There is a certain daily newspaper comic strip which often features a cartoon-like God, who looks down upon Earth, from Heaven, through a giant telescope.

And though this cartoon is meant to give readers a daily chuckle, the fact is, many people who call themselves Christian, more or less believe in such a distant and detached God.

DEISTS OF THEIR DAY

Some, or perhaps many of our founding fathers of the United States of America called themselves “Christian”, but were actually what were known as, “Deists”. You see, Deists believed that God sits far off in outer space, and merely monitors the comings and goings of Mankind.

But is that what the Bible says about God? Am I really “the captain of my own ship”? Am I just an independent agent? Is the world merely a place where most of the actions and decisions being the product of humans?

Or does God intervene in the affairs of Mankind?

RAISED TO BE FAITHLESS

**We live in a faithless world! From early childhood, most of us have been taught and conditioned to believe that we must, “pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps”, as the saying goes.**

Yes, this ol’ world is under the false notion, that if indeed there is a God, He just sits out there in some far-away nebula, looking down at this world through some gigantic telescope.

We are deists! We are faithless! We think that we must scratch and claw our way through this life, by our own strength and with our own intellect! From cradle to grave we are taught to trust in Man, instead of God!

Of course, this stark spiritual poverty is nothing new! The Bible refers to the Sadducees during Jesus’ time on earth. They were a class of secularized “believers”, who doubted any supernatural intervention in the affairs of Man, by God!

And when Jesus began His earthly ministry, this group of Sadducees had absolutely, not one shred of belief that He was the promised Messiah which was to come!

Now in today’s society, things are even worse than in the days of Jesus!

Our western societies are not only heavily atheistic, but virtually void of any degree of living faith in God’s divine providence for man’s needs!

MEDICINE A GREAT INDUSTRY!

Like never before in history, the medical community is perhaps the greatest of all industries in the western cultures.

If you watch television, then it won’t be long till you view an advertisement for some medical product or doctor’s services!

Now is there anything wrong with going to a doctor in time of need? Well certainly for the people of the world, there is nothing wrong with going to a doctor. And even for a Christian, there may be times when medical services may seem necessary.

But is the Christian REQUIRED to use those medical services? Well, is there anything in the Bible to suggest that a Christian MUST seek out medical help?

THE GREAT PHYSICIAN

The Bible does encourage going to one Physician…

Listen…“And He said unto them, Ye will surely say unto Me this proverb, Physician, heal Thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Thy country.” Luke 4:23

In this above verse, Jesus alludes to His office as the Great Physician. Jesus is the great Healer of both physical and spiritual maladies!

Now there are those whom Satan raises up to cast dirt upon the Gospel.

The world calls them fanatics. The Bible calls them “false brethren”.

These are they who make a mockery of the Gospel of Christ by forbidding their children any medical services.

Not only is this against the law, but it makes Christianity look bad.

PAUL REFUSES MEDICAL SERVICES

.

Now if a Believer personally wishes to not use conventional medical services, that is between that person and his or her Lord.

.

For instance, in the Book of Acts, Chapter, the Apostle Paul, while on the island of Malta, was bitten by a deadly viper.

.

But even though the “Beloved Physician” Doctor Luke was right there witnessing Paul’s encounter with that serpent, Paul just went on, building the fire as if nothing had happened. And even though Luke knew how to extract poisonous venom from a man’s arm, Paul knew that he had a divinely appointed commission to fulfill and didn’t require Dr. Luke’s services. And so, the native islanders continued to watch Paul, to see if he would die. But when Paul didn’t die, those natives changed their minds about Paul being a cursed murderer and decided that he was, indeed, Heaven-blessed!

BE PREPARED TO DIE

.

Now the point is, that Paul knew there to be no Bible commandment to seek the services of any earthly physician. And Luke knew this too, else he would have tried to convince Paul to let him treat that deadly wound!

Now just because Paul did not suffer sickness or death from that snake bite, does not necessarily mean that you or I will enjoy the same results. It is God’s divine will, as to whether or not He will heal us. If God desires to remove us from this life, then we need to say along with righteous old Job…“Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him” Job 13:15

.

Yes, no matter what our circumstances are, we must maintain our firm trust that God knows what is best.

A PERSONAL CHOICE

No, there is nothing in the Bible that encourages us to use an earthly physician. But there is nothing which forbids us from using one, either! And so, it is a judgment call that each Christian must prayerfully decide for his or her own self. And let’s face it, family pressure will be great for us to seek after medical help!

.

But there are some who may decide to not try to extend their life when some terminal illness befalls them. They have full assurance that God can heal them if He wishes to. But they also realize that there is a wonderful Promised Land which awaits them, if God chooses not to heal them.

A PRETTY NICE PLACE, TO SAY THE LEAST!

And of this Promised Land, it is written… “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:4, 5

Well, it sounds as if this Promised Land is a pretty nice place, to say the least!

And though none of us look forward to the discomfort and pain of the dying-process, we nevertheless look beyond, by faith, to the other side of that “black river”, to the shores of that heavenly country! Yes, it is a beautiful country in which the joyful songs of the redeemed multitudes will ring through the plush, flower-strewn meadows, and the innocent laughter of little children will echo against evergreen and everlasting hills and through the mist of the ever-winding valleys.

The 3rd face of the Moon is a bit more difficult to locate, because it is mostly upside down. But this photo and this sketch are how this face would appear if it was turned right side up. (In the southern hemisphere, however, this is how the Moon would appear.)

The third face is the most difficult to see in the northern hemisphere, but once you do, it then becomes easy. This face is like a furry creature of the field. Maybe a rabbit. Maybe a squirrel. Perhaps a chipmunk. Probably a mouse. All “seekers”; all foragers or scavengers.

Jesus spoke to His disciples about the various signs of the end, and of His Second Coming. And among the various signs, was Luke 21:25…

.

“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;” Luke 21:25-27

.

SIGNS OF HEAVEN

Now this website has the privilege of revealing these signs. And so, of course, the Reader is encouraged to begin to deeply explore this website to the point that he or she is so familiar with everything written, they can then go outside and merely look up, and God will reveal all these heavenly messengers as they sparkle as precious diamonds in the night-heavens!

But the sad fact is, there are many faithful church-going individuals who desire to see the marvelous heavenly signs foretold by Scripture, and yet cannot, nor will give any credence to these signs. No, they will not even entertain this heavenly message for one moment, because it does not agree with their preconceived notions about the nature of the heavenly signs which the Bible foretold would someday occur. Thus they become obstinate, much like Mr. Obstinate from John Bunyan’s masterpiece allegorical tale, “Pilgrim’s Progress”!

But instead, they are looking for cataclysmic phenomena, which will be witnessed by the entire world! Great explosions in space, or perhaps giant meteors, or awesome and fiery starry showers.

GOD’S SIGNS TEACH US

But what they do not consider is that whenever God gave a sign, it was always accompanied by a much-needed message for His people.

Take, for instance the story of Jonah…

Jesus plainly told the people…“For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Matthew 12:40

.

Jesus connected the story of Jonah with His own death on the Cross, and His Resurrection after three days and three nights! Because His people were greatly in error, and needed correction and instruction.

.

In other words, God’s signs always point His people back to the straight and true pathway to the Celestial City of God!

.

Yes, the pathway to Heaven has been greatly obscured by false ideas, worldly compromise, and unbiblical jargon and terminology. And only those who are willing to leave their road to destruction will see this message, and return back to the true pathway!

So, the bottom line to all this is: let us no longer be stiff-necked and hard-hearted, but rather, meek as little children, as we search the Scriptures daily, hoping that these things are true and biblically sound!
