“Mark of the Beast in the Moon!? 3rd Face: The Sadducee-Seeker”

There are three faces inscribed on the Moon’s surface: the face of a man (right), the face of a wolf-like beast (left), and the face of a foraging creature, like a rabbit or rodent (lower left).

.

While the 1st face symbolizes a watchful Christian, the 2nd face symbolizes the proud Pharisee who scorns others.

.

However, this 3rd face of a forest forager represents the faithless Sadducee. Yes, the Sadducees were a sect of Jews who had little or no faith that God is the great Provider of all things necessary for His children’s needs, including contentment and peace.

.

And so, this faithless forager continually seeks after the things of the world, just as a foraging beast of the forest continually seeks after food.

UNBELIEF!

.

Yes, so many church-attendees go to church faithfully, and yet have never developed a deep trust in God.

.

This is what the Sadducees were all about. They were consumed by their unbelief! Their conception of God was that He was way out in outer-space somewhere, probably looking down at Planet Earth through some giant telescope, monitoring the goings on here.

.

And they could not, or would not believe that God has much to do with the day-to-day goings on here, but merely looked down at us, to make sure that we hadn’t blown ourselves up, or something similar!

.

“But my God shall supply all your need…”

Philipians 4:19

And so, this unbelieving forager continually seeks after the things of the world.

.

And just like him, we Christians likewise seek after so many things of the world, thinking that the Gospel is not fully sufficient for our contentment and happiness.

REPULSED BY APOSTLES

.

For instance, we look at the Apostle, Paul, as a wonderful man, but do not want to be totally like him. We just don’t believe that Paul’s self-denying life would supply all our needs as far as fulfillment and happiness. Such a seemingly austere life as Paul’s (or John’s, or Peter’s, etc.) could never bring us all we need! He was just too selfless!

And so, instead of imitating these men, we merely erect statues to honor them!

SEEKING WORLDLY FULFILLMENT

.

And so, just like the little forest creatures, we continually seek for our earthly fulfillment in such things as television-watching, or sports, or social clubs, or various hobbies, or bigger or better homes and gardens, or nicer cars, or expensive vacation resorts, or banquetings, or politics, or novel-reading, or ambitious careers, or various amusements, or any one of countless other pursuits.

.

These earthly pursuits are the foraging which goes on when we do not trust explicitly in God’s Divine Providence!

.

We’re just like this 3rd face: a moon-beast forager!

.

BIG EYES FOR THE WORLD!

.

Concisely put, this 3rd Beast represents the lust of the eyes. That is why this 3rd face in the Moon has such big eyes!

.

Listen…“the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.” Proverbs 17:24

.

Yes, this forest forager’s eyes are in the ends of the earth. He is not looking to Jesus. He is not wanting to become Christlike! He doesn’t believe that he could be happy living such a self-denying existence! And so, this earth-clinging forager continues to seek for his happiness in the things of the world!

STUDY, CONTEMPLATE & PRAY

.

Well, there is hope for all those of us who possess this same spirit of unbelief. And that hope is found in seeking for God’s grace.

.

Yes, we must carefully and prayerfully study and contemplate on God’s Word, and plead with God to take away our unbelief. We can plead with Him to fill our hearts with the same agape love and joy that Jesus had when walking the earth. We can begin to catch the same power of Spirit that Paul and John had!

.

And by so-doing, we may just find the joy of the Lord! We may just become filled with the overwhelming love of Jesus for friend and stranger alike!

.

…“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:

not as the world giveth, give I unto you….

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,

shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

John 14:27 & Philippians 4:7

.

It is such passages as these two, which give us assurance that God can indeed supply all our needs according to His riches in glory!

LOCATING THIS 3RD FACE

.

The 3rd face of the Moon is a bit more difficult to locate, because it is mostly upside down. But this photo and this sketch are how this face would appear if it was turned right side up. (In the southern hemisphere, however, this is how the Moon would appear.)

.

The third face is the most difficult to see in the northern hemisphere, but once you do, it then becomes easy. This face is like a furry creature of the field. Maybe a rabbit. Maybe a squirrel. Perhaps a chipmunk. Probably a mouse. All “seekers”; all foragers or scavengers.

.

And while this picture shows this little “beast of the field” right side up, this 3rd face is always pretty much in an upside-down position.

.

The other two faces appear right-side-up, and are easier to locate. This above passage from Isaiah is more than just a little cryptic.

.

And this Mark of the Beast message inscribed on the Moon’s surface is even more cryptic!

And yet, since both messages concern the Watchman, they both, perhaps, are intertwined!

THREE FACES IN THE MOON

.

You see, God has inscribed three faces in the Moon, and this first face is that of a man (picture right).

.

The other two faces are that of animals: beasts, if you will.

.  

And while one of the other two faces is that of a fierce predator, and the other, a forest forager, this 1st face (picture right) is of a very sympathetic-looking human, even just a bit sad, and even just a bit more horror-stricken.

SHOCK AND SADNESS

Just look at this Watchman’s sad-looking eyes! And yet with a dropped-jaw expression, he looks rather shocked!

.

But who wouldn’t be shocked, looking down on this tragic and horrible and selfish world! After all, just think of all that this Watchman sees in the night! Murders and beatings, kidnappings and slave-tradings, drugs and alcohol dependencies, inhumanity and indifferent unsympathetic disregard, racism and bigotry, lust and perversions, thefts and hoarding, imprisonment and torture, sickness and suffering, destruction and death!

OUR INDIFFERENT DISREGARD

Yes, who wouldn’t have a look of shock and horror on their face, if we could see all the unthinkable atrocities and sufferings that goes on daily (and nightly) in this sorry world!

And yet, we humans laugh and joke and live for self, greatly ignoring all these daily occurrences!

THE JOY OF PREACHING THE GOOD NEWS!

.

Well, there is some very Good News! And if you look up at this Night-Watchman, you might even see a hint of a smile. And with all the aforementioned doom-n-gloom in the world, why in the world would this man be smiling?!

.

This little upturned corner of his mouth is because he knows a great big secret! You see, this Night-Watchman has discovered the wonderful gift of Salvation! Yes, this Man-in-the-Moon has heard the Good News that God has sent His Son to save the world!

.

And if you will observe, it almost appears as if he is shouting down to the world’s inhabitants, that there is hope, real hope against the death sentence upon doomed humanity: that Jesus came and lived and then gave His life as a ransom for the lost souls of Mankind!

“SORROWFUL, YET ALWAYS REJOICING!”

Oh yes, you can almost observe tears falling from his eyes. And not just tears of sadness for the wretched condition of lost Mankind! But perhaps even tears of joy, because God is so wonderful that “He gave His only begotten Son: that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life!”

And so, because of this wonderful gift, this grateful recipient of Salvation has assumed the role of a watchman!

You see, he is responding to the warning from His Lord…“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes!” Matthew 25:13

“WATCHMAN, WHAT OF THE NIGHT?”

Yes, and if you ask this vigilant watcher… “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?”, this Watchman will answer with the cryptic reply… “The morning comes, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: return, come.” Isaiah 21:11, 12

.

Here is a call for all those who are living in darkness, to come to the light of morning, which shines upon any one who truly calls upon the name of Jesus!

.

Oh yes, “the night is coming when no man can work!” (John 9:4).

.

And yet, for those who return and come to the foot of the Cross, then, “the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings!” Malachi 4:2. And then will begin the process of the healing of the soul!

It’s that proverbial “Man in the Moon”. We’ve always taken it for granted. But now we’re learning that God is responsible for creating this Nocturnal Watchman. You see, God has etched Signs in the Moon, long ago.

A story? Yes. And just now He is revealing those Signs. Just now He is telling that story.

God promised that His covenant with David (who represented Christ) “shall be established for ever as the Moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.” Psalm 89

PERFECT OBJECT LESSON

.

But how could God do such a thing? Easy! God is God! God is infinite! If God wishes to make a big statement, what better way for Him to do so, than by creating a heavenly orb with a face etched into it. 

.

The Moon is a perfect object-lesson! It reflects the light of the Sun, in the same way that a Christian must reflect the light of Jesus, the “Sun of Righteousness”. And the Moon, though the “lessor light”, still provides enough light to help us see at night; just as the Church is to reflect Christ’s light to this sin-darkened world!

.

And more than this, the Bible declares… “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork.”  Psalm 19:1.

.

So this verse which says, “The heavens declare the glory of God”, applies also to the Moon.

MARK OF BEAST WRITTEN IN THE MOON!

Yes, the fearful message which the world has been waiting for, God has inscribed in the Moon.

Now of course, this seems too incredible to believe. Nevertheless, it is true! And if the Reader will go to the articles titled, “Moon Into Blood Trilogy”, this most fearful message can begin to be explored! In a very real sense, the Moon is a fulfillment of the following prophecy…

.

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice,

Perhaps you could say that the Moon itself, presents the Message of the Third Angel, which reveals that bloody “Mark of the Beast” message of Revelation 14!

THE 3rd BEAST: SWINE-EATER

.

But there is one more face! You see, the 2nd face, the wolf, can also be seen as a swine-eater.

.

And this, together with the other two beasts (the wolf/dog & the rodent/rabbit) represent the three fundamental sins of Mankind! Yes, as 1st John tells us…

“For all that is in the world,

the lust of the flesh,

and the lust of the eyes,

and the pride of life,

is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

1st John 2:16

.

And so, this message which God has inscribed on the Moon’s surface, is a somewhat complex message, and can be an incredible object-lesson for Believers!

But there is some very Good News in all this doom & gloom information. Yes, the Lord is graciously giving us this message in an hour when there is still just enough time to repent and prepare for the final Judgment! And while most of the world may ignore God’s final warning, yet those who take heed, must begin to put on the full armor of God, so that we will be able to stand in the evil day. And having done everything necessary, to stand!

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,

that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day,

and having done all, to stand…

Ephesians 6:14

MOON INTO BLOOD TRILOGY…

.

There are three faces in the Moon, etched by God Himself. These faces present, not only the condition of God’s house, but also, the condition of the Human Heart.

.

The first face is that of a man. The other two faces are those of a scavenger and also a predator. The first face represents the True Worshipers. The other two represent the two classes of Christians that existed in Jesus’ day: the Pharisees, and the Sadducees. The Pharisees were the Proud Scorners. The Sadducees were locked in by unbelief. They didn’t believe much of the Bible. While the second face representing the Pharisees, as they professed belief in the Bible, loved the sins of pride, the 3rd face (Sadducees) continually sought after the things of the world.

. 

Yes, these faithless ones (represented by this 3rd face), didn’t believe that being Christ-like could bring the joy necessary to be content. So this 3rd face is a Seeker, so to speak. Just as the little furry critters are constantly seeking after food, so too, many Christians are constantly seeking after, and nibbling of the things of the world. Now, it’s not to say that Christians do not enjoy the things of the world. But Christians are not to make the things of the world of much importance. Their chief desire is to seek the things of Heaven.

.

Do you get the point of these two beasts of the Earth? And while the Moon does not deal directly with all aspects of the Revelation 13 Antichrist Beast (7 heads, 10 horns, etc.). Nevertheless, the Moon exposes the Beast Within: the Beast within the human heart.

We live in a society today, which, to put it mildly, is very proactive about telling us how to live. From cradle to grave, we are inundated with advice, with maxims, with philosophy, with psychology, and with all sorts of ideological dogma!

Some could perhaps be considered good. And many laws are good.

.

But more and more, there are oppressive laws, which tend to violate the Christian conscience.

THE “GRAY AREAS” OF LIFE

.

But this devotional is not about the laws of the land, but rather, is about things that would be considered “gray areas” of life: the questionable issues of everyday life.

.

Such things which society doesn’t consider to be detrimental to one’s character.

.

And isn’t it true, that our society is very dogmatic about many customs and traditional practices which they embrace and profess?

.

But the Bible says…

“Thus saith the LORD;

‘Cursed be the man that trusts in man,

and makes flesh his arm,

and whose heart departs from the LORD.

For he shall be like the heath in the desert'”

Jeremiah 17:5, 6.

Yes, as the disciple of Jesus grows in grace and in the knowledge of Christ, he (or she) begins to trust less and less in what people say, and more and more in the Word of Christ, and what He has to say about how we should live!

THE WORLD LOVES NEWS!

One area of life which the world loves and jealously protects is in the watching, reading or listening to the daily news.

Now for the world, the daily news is not such a bad thing. It is even considered by many to be enlightening!

.

And certainly, it is informing of the current goings on around the world!

.

NOT FOR CHRISTIANS!

But for the Christian, the habit of consuming copious amounts of the daily news can be very detrimental to one’s heart and soul…

Listen to the Wise Man’s counsel…

and perverse lips put far from thee.

So here we see that God has given us a great commission to guard “our heart with all diligence!”

IMPASSIONS THE CARNAL HEART!

More and more, the news programs are becoming designed to tug on our emotions: stories about people we love to love! Or stories about people we love to hate! Stories of revenge! Stories about lust! Stories about the very rich! Stories about the beautiful! Stories designed to make us angry! And so many stories that tend to make us calloused and unsympathetic!

A PEG FOR SKEPTICS

.

Oh yes, Satan knows that he must mingle some ‘form of godliness’ into his deceptions. And so, he adds just enough goodness to give all skeptics, “a long enough peg to hang their doubts on”, as the saying goes.

In other words, by mingling goodness with evil, it becomes more difficult to recognize evil, thus emboldening the naysayers to deny the Bible truth that “the whole world lieth in wickedness”. (1st John 5:19)

DEFILING THE CONSCIENCE

Yes, when we indulge these salacious and impassioned news stories on a daily basis, we are unwittingly allowing the very same passions into our hearts, thereby defiling our conscience…

Whenever God adds the words, “Be not deceived”, it is one of those so-called “gray areas” of life which Satan will attempt to deceive us on! In other words, there are many who will try to tell us that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the news….

.

But listen to this…“For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.”  Ephesians 5:12

.

You wouldn’t last long in the news business if you lived by this above verse, would you? So much of the news is devoted to evil deeds which were done in the shadows.

We Christians must be ever watchful and vigilant! The Enemy of Souls is working around the clock to derail us from our highest duty: the purification of our heart!

He…that stops his ears from hearing of blood,

Now here is another passage which journalists will never be able to embrace. After all, so much of the news thrives on blood (violence) and thrives on displaying evil images.

REJOICING AT CALAMITIES

“Rejoice not when thine enemy falls,

and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbles:”

Proverbs 24:17

Perhaps the greatest evil for the Christian to beware of, is the temptation to want certain apocalyptic-like calamities to occur. In other words, the Devil may tempt us to be glad over earthquakes, volcanoes, paradigm shifts, tornadoes, and any other similar catastrophes which might signal that the end is near. And when we hear of these tragedies we might be inclined to rejoice in heart.

LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF!

After all, if such an earthquake or tornado, etc., were to come to your town or my town, we wouldn’t rejoice, would we?

But perhaps we are a little like a modern-day “Jonah”, watching and waiting for Nineveh to be destroyed!

.

So, this is a matter of loving thy neighbor as thyself. And this is one more great sin associated with news-watching.

A BATTLE MAY ENSUE

.

Now for those of us who decide to stop watching and listening and indulging in the news, there may be a fierce battle ahead. You see, just like any other of the “desires…of the mind“, immersing one’s own self in daily news can become a terrible bondage! And because it often seems like a rather harmless indulgence, it even becomes more difficult to quit!

.

So don’t be surprised if this indulgence has a firm grip on us! It will require much prayer and searching out the Bible for Divine help to cut this sin off!

.

And even if we do get the victory over this, Satan will no doubt tempt us to fall back into this earthly pleasure!

.

LOOK UP! LIFT UP YOUR HEADS!

The Good News is that God is now calling us to, “look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near!” Luke 21:28

Like never before in history, we have reached the hour in which God instructs us to look up, and lift up our heads! We must take our eyes off the filth, scum, and violence so prevalent all around us! We must fix our gaze on Jesus like never before! Satan is now flooding this world with the sights and sounds of evil.

He wants us to view life from an earthly perspective!

We must completely take our eyes off the world and fix our eyes upon Heaven’s Jesus!

THE MILKY WAY RUNS THROUGH

Now one thing that is noticeable and makes this constellation even more dramatic, is the fact that the Milky Way runs right through it. And the question that must be asked is, “What biblical implications does this constellation/Milky Way connection have?” Well, very simply put, if stars represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.

WHY IS THIS CONSTELLATION SO INCOMPLETE IN APPEARANCE

So why is this constellation merely an outline? Well it does show his back, rear end and leg…and arm. But unlike, say, Orion, this constellation is very vague, even mysterious in appearance. Almost vacant in appearance. Yes this horseman represents Christ. But even more than this, it represents the Holy Spirit of Christ. And as we all know, the Holy Spirit is very, very, un-intrusive, almost impossible to detect His presence.

There has been a lot of chatter via various TV and radio ministries concerning the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem! Oh yes, they are quite certain that a 3rd temple made of brick-n-mortar is soon to be constructed!

As a matter of fact, it is said that the stones of its walls are already being hewed and squared, to be put in place at the appointed hour! And of course, the furnishings of that temple are also rumored to be already constructed, and ready to be placed in that temple, once it is completed.

A TEMPLE ALREADY THERE!

The only problem with all this is, that somebody else has already placed their own sacred building on that very site!

Yes, another religion has moved in, and there would have to be some great conflict to even think of rebuilding the 3rd Jewish Temple on that spot!

Once again, the apostate church-world has misunderstood the spiritual nature of the Bible, looking for another earthly temple to be rebuilt. But what they do not understand is that these buildings were used by God to be allegorical portraits of spiritual truths…

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,

The New Jerusalem spoken of here is a symbol of God and His church. And there is no brick-n-mortar temple in it because, “God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it!”

A HOUSE & THRONE FOREVER!

Listen, as God foretells of this everlasting temple…

“He (Christ) shall build an house for My name,

and I will stablish the throne of His kingdom for ever.

I will be His father, and He shall be my Son.

And Thine house and Thy kingdom shall be established for ever before Thee:

Thy throne shall be established for ever.”

2nd Samuel 7:13, 14, 16

The only temple that God is concerned with at this point in time is an everlasting temple…

“YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD!”

Listen again…“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,

and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Here is the 3rd temple of God! God’s people! And the Word of God and the Holy Spirit are the mortar that will hold this temple together throughout the ceaseless ages!

HEWING & SQUARING

Now, for us to become the living stones in that temple requires that we must be hewed & squared. This process is what the Bible calls, the purification of the heart…

Listen… “And the king commanded,

and they brought great stones,

costly stones, and hewed stones,

to lay the foundation of the house.

And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them,

and the stone-squarers:

so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.”

1st Kings 5:17, 18

. 

Oh yes, this appears to be speaking of a literal brick-n-mortar temple. But the Bible is a spiritual book and must be understood spiritually, even though these Bible stories are literal and historical events which truly happened in the past.

HEWED & SQUARED BY JUDGMENT & RIGHTEOUSNESS!

But the Bible says concerning Christ… 

“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD,

he that believes shall not make haste.

Judgment also will I lay to the line,

And in the days to come, God will silently fit these living stones together to make that glorious 3rd temple which was promised long ago!

THE ARK IN THE HEAVENS

.

.

So what importance to us is all this information? Well, if a person goes out at night, beginning in April (earlier in southern-most latitudes, and later in northern-most), in the pre-dawn hour, they just might locate the constellation commonly referred to as the  Sagittarius Constellation  . It is located in the southern sky. (Each night it appears a little earlier, slowly inching westward, through the summer, until it finally disappears below the western horizon in November.)

.

At first, it simply appears as two twin birds flying westward. But if you look once again, it just might appear as a long box-like figure, with one star on the right, as you face it, and two stars on the left. The box, of course would be the Ark, and the stars on either side would represent angels, which are sometimes referred to as stars in the Bible (for instance, “the seven stars are the angels…” Revelation 1:20). To the right is a star-chart from Wikipedia, in which the editor of this site has sketched in this Sagittarius Constellation, to show how God created it to appear.

So in Part 1 (click here to read), it was put forth that in all of nature, there are four witnesses, who all testify on behalf of the Creator! Beauty, Poetry, Wisdom, and Laws, all stand up and speak so eloquently in defense of nature’s God!

And it seems, that any doubter or skeptic who would open his or her mind to carefully consider the testimony of these four very persuasive witnesses, would eventually come to the same conclusion: there has to be a Creator, who is filled with these same qualities:

But since the writing of that first devotional, yet another witness found in nature has risen up in defense of the Creator: a powerful spokesman, one who defies and even decimates the supposed logic of the so-called Theory of Evolution!

And so, now we see that there are not four, but five witnesses found in nature, which all testify of God’s Creation!

.

And just what or who is that 5th witness?

.

LOVE!

.

Yes, love is the 5th witness found throughout nature!

.

“BUT THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE!”

1st Corinthians 13:13

You see, God has interwoven love throughout nature! And perhaps love is the greatest of all of these five witnesses…

Listen…“And now abideth faith, hope, charity (love), these three; but the greatest of these is charity (love).” 1st Corinthians 13:13

.

You see, when you think about it, love is what makes our lives worth living!

.

And God has written love upon His Creation, to the degree that only a fool could deny the Creator’s existence…“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.” Psalm 14:1 

.

And those of us (this fool-for-an-editor included) who had once denied God’s existence, were blinded to this most wonderful witness, “love”, found throughout nature!

EVIDENCES WHICH PROVE: “GOD IS LOVE!”

But it is the joy and privilege of those who are filled with the Holy Spirit to behold the tokens of God’s love, wherever we go!

Yes, nature has given us ample evidences of God’s love, to the degree that it’s written,

And if only those of us who have been deceived by atheism would just sit still and consider how this universe could not exist without love, there would probably be very few atheists left in the world!

Well, if those who have been mercifully enlightened by the truth will just stop and consider the countless places in which God’s Love has been interwoven in nature, they will no doubt be amazed at the totality of God’s love, etched upon every aspect of nature!

HEAVENLY OBJECT LESSON

.

“Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.” Isaiah 24:23

.

When God created the Moon and the stars, He ordained them to “rule the night” (Gen. 1:16). The Moon, especially when it is full, can light your pathway through the night, as it reflects the light of the Sun.

..

So too, the Christian is to be a light to the world: to this sin-darkened world. But as the Moon must reflect the light of the Sun, in order to be a light to the world, so also must the Christian reflect the light of Jesus, to be a spiritual light to this planet in rebellion. Listen…

“Ye are the light of the world…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

.

However, during an eclipse, the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, preventing that sunlight from shining on the Moon’s face. This is an incredible object-lesson about when the child of God allows the world to come between him and his Lord. Like the eclipse, that person no longer reflects the light of Jesus, because his or her love of this dark world of sin has eclipsed the light from the “Sun of Righteousness” (see Malachi 4:2).

2ND CHRONICLES 7:14, NO SMALL TASK

But if one looks closely at this popular verse from 2nd Chronicles, it will be discovered that mere prayer vigils and protest marches are not enough to cause the Lord to bless this land.

What we need to really focus on in this popular verse are the words…

“If My people, who are called by My name,

shall humble themselves and pray,

and seek My face,

and turn from their wicked ways…”

2nd Chronicles 7:14

.

Yes, in this above verse lies the very reason why God’s judgments are now falling on this country.

FORSAKING ALL, TOO MUCH FOR MOST

Most people have no intention of fulfilling this above verse, because it would mean that they must, “go and sell that thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in Heaven, and come and follow Me!”

These are the words spoken by Jesus to the rich young ruler in Matthew 9:16-26.

.

And just as that affluent young man turned away in sadness because of his many possessions, so too, most citizens have no intention of giving up all, to follow Jesus.

FORSAKING ALL, UNACCEPTABLE!

Listen to Jesus once again…“whosoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has, he cannot be My disciple!”

Wow! What an indictment! “You mean that I must give up everything, in order to become Jesus’ disciple? Well forget that, buddy!”

This is the sad reality in today’s churches.

They are filled with parishioners who would love to be the disciples of Jesus, but are unwilling to fulfill this one requirement of forsaking this selfish world, “lock, stock, and barrel”, as the old saying goes.

OUR CHERISHED IDOLS ARE MANY!

You see, we who live in this cornucopian super-society have our various little idols that we cling to, and are unwilling to give up.

For some it may be their ambitious career. For others it may be their sports and hobbies. For still others, it may be our entertainment via television, radio, etc..

Yes, there are countless indulgences, which today’s churchgoers are unwilling to part with, that they may truly become a disciple of Jesus: fads and fashions, lavish vacations, social clubs, elaborate homes and gardens and lands, and ranches, and stylish cars, and boats, and motor-homes, and sports, and entertainments, and amusements, and all the other earthly mammon, which only divides and conquers the heart…

CHOOSE ONE WORLD, BUT NOT BOTH!

Listen to Jesus…

“No man can serve two masters:

for either he will hate the one,

and love the other;

or else he will hold to the one,

and despise the other.

Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Matthew 6:24

.

The problem is, that Satan, “the god of this world”, has created this modern society with the express purpose of making it a really fun and interesting place. And then, he lures Christians back into this world to the point that their Christian service and their earthy pursuits begin to compete with each other.

.

But God gives us a choice. You can live for this world or you can live for Heaven. But you can’t live for both!

.

You will begin to hate one or you will hate the other!

.

.

.

JESUS CONDEMNED OUR WORLD

.

And so, the fact is, that most who call themselves Christians would absolutely hate 2nd Chronicles 7:14, if they really fully understood just all that it entails! They would take their 2nd Chronicles sign and toss it into the garbage!

After all, isn’t that why we put Jesus on the Cross?

.

Listen to Jesus…“The world cannot hate you; but Me it hates, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.” John 7:7

.

Yes, the world hated Jesus.

.

But even His professed people hated Him, for the simple reason, that He condemned this selfish world-system, which we love so much!

OFFENSE OF THE CROSS REMOVED

One great reason why so many professing Christians can attend church each week, without conviction of sin, is because today’s churches mostly have watered down the true Gospel to the point that the offense of the Cross has been mostly removed.

But if the average church-attendee really understood the true Gospel, most all would be ready to burn to the ground, any and all churches who taught the unvarnished and undiluted truth!

ITCHING-EARS GOSPELS NOW PREACHED

The following passage foretells of the very day in which we now live…

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;

Yes, to a great degree, Satan has filled the pulpits with his so-called, “ministers of righteousness” (see 2nd Corinthians 11:14, 15). And these have mostly removed the teeth from the Gospel, now preaching smooth and non-offensive topics, just as Jeremiah foretold…

JEREMIAH SPOKE OF OUR DAY

Yes, just listen to Jeremiah…“Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:” Jeremiah 30:10.

Many sincere but frustrated pastors confess, “If I really preached against sin, Satan and worldliness in today’s churches, I would lose most all my congregation!”

ALL NATIONS MUST DRINK

The fact is, that God is giving us the cup of His fury and the wine of His wrath to drink! (see Jeremiah 25:15 onward).

Yes, God has commissioned us to lay down our lives on the altar of service, just as did Paul, and John, and Peter, and the others.

A PRIVATE AND QUIET PRIESTHOOD

Oh no, God doesn’t necessarily want us to quit our jobs and sell all our belongings, to become traveling evangelists, like Paul and the others.

No, but we can pursue our devotion and service to God with the same wholehearted dedication and enthusiasm that those original disciples pursued, in their devotion and service to God!

And whether hard at work, or at home enjoying my family, I can use every moment in joyful consecration of my heart, and silent prayer for the salvation of souls!

THE NARROW WAY: THE PILGRIM’S PATHWAY

.

.

LOCATION

.

 

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story). Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).

.

And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch to below left). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

.

This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark). While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions. It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

.

The sketch to left shows, the two doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch to right).

Watchmen On Zion’s Walls,

There is a biblical concept which is so important, that none living in these last days should be ignorant of…

And just what is that vitally important concept?

.

It is the concept of being a watchman…

.

Listen…“Watch ye therefore:

for ye know not when the Master of the house cometh,

Here Jesus warns each and every one of us to be watchful! Not to be asleep!

ABSORBED IN THE BUSY-NESS OF LIFE

.

Now this is not saying that the Christian shouldn’t get a good night’s sleep. No, but rather, this is instead saying that we are not to get so absorbed in the busy-ness of everyday life that we forget that we are in the midst of a battle for our souls…

.

Listen…“And take heed to yourselves,

lest at any time your hearts be overcharged

with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life,

and so that day come upon you unawares.

For as a snare shall it come on all them

that dwell on the face of the whole earth.”

Luke 21:34, 35

.

So here are the very words of Jesus, as He warns us against getting caught up in the cares and pleasures of life, only to find ourselves caught up in the snare which is coming upon the whole world!

WATCHMEN ON ZION’S WALLS

.

In the Old Testament, watchmen were appointed to walk upon the protective, outer walls of Jerusalem, so that they could sound the alarm when an enemy approached…

.

Listen…

“Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel:

therefore hear the word at My mouth,

and give them warning from Me.

When I say unto the wicked,

Thou shalt surely die;

and thou givest him not warning,

nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way,

to save his life;

the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity;

but his blood will I require at thine hand.”

Ezekiel 3:17, 18

.

So here is presented the concept that we are to warn the wicked of the peril of remaining in an unsaved condition. If we neglect our commission to be watchmen, warning the world of their peril, God says that He will require their blood at the watchman’s hand!

.

Here is one of those passages that should strike terror in the heart of every Christian!

THOSE WHO ARE WITHOUT

.

“Therefore speak I to them in parables:

because they seeing see not;

and hearing they hear not,

neither do they understand.”

Now, right here the Reader must be warned against those who call themselves “Dispensationalists”, who attempt to cut off much of the Old Testament and Revelation, saying that it only pertains to literal Jews.

Such erring men have been deceived by Satan in his attempt to keep the Church in great darkness and ignorance!

The fact is, the entire Bible is a spiritual book, and that…

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God,

and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,

for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect,

thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

2nd Timothy 3:16, 17

MUCH OF THE BIBLE HAS BEEN VEILED

.

Yes, all scripture is relevant to the Church today, but much has been veiled in types, symbols and allegories, and must be understood allegorically to make sense.

Jesus warned His disciples concerning those who are, “without”, and in darkness… 

“Therefore speak I to them in parables:

because they seeing see not;

and hearing they hear not,

neither do they understand.”

Matthew 13:13

.

Here Jesus was speaking of those in the Church who are being used by Satan to deceive Christ’s sheep. And so, much of the Bible has been veiled from these “false brethren.” 

.

And, truth-be-told, both radio and television ministries are teeming with such deceivers, misleading God’s sheep, forbidding them to see the spiritual interpretation to so much of Scripture!

BEING WATCHFUL

.

Listen once again to God’s Word concerning watchmen…

“Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel:

therefore hear the word at My mouth,

and give them warning from me.

When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die;

and thou givest him not warning,

nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life;

the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity;

but his blood will I require at thine hand.”

Now, does this above passage mean that we must walk down the street and stop and warn each and every person that passes by, that they are going to Hell, except they repent?

No, but it does mean that we are to be, as Peter says…

“Be sober, be vigilant;

because your adversary the devil,

as a roaring lion, walketh about,

seeking whom he may devour:”

1st Peter 5:8

.

THE WORLD, A SNARE TO OUR SOUL!

Like never before in history, Satan has created this cornucopian super-society to entangle the hearts of Christians to the point that we live carelessly and sleepily in this, “day of slaughter”…

Here we see that it is very possible to miss the whole point of being a Christian and follower of Jesus!

OUR LIFESTYLE TELLS THE STORY

We will swear up and down, that we don’t love this present world, and yet our lives reveal just the opposite!

HOW DO I WATCH?

Now, for those who wish to become watchmen upon the walls of Zion, the remedy is simple. A daily prayer regimen, a daily Bible study, and an hour-by-hour contemplation of God’s Word. This is how we watch, and this is where we watch! And these daily duties are to be combined with a putting away of our cherished earthly idols, such as television, secular radio, and the many other earthly pursuits which crowd out our relationship with Jesus and quench the Spirit of Holiness.

A watchful Christian is a happy Christian. And these four duties (Ceaseless prayer, Bible study, constant Bible contemplation, and separation from the ungodly worldly influences) will become our delight, by the power of the indwelling Spirit of Holiness!

1st FACE…THE NIGHT WATCHMAN

.

“MOON IS CONFOUNDED”… The first face, a man’s face, is easy to see. It is that proverbial ‘Man in the Moon’. Most have seen it. Even as little children. (The other two faces are not so easy to see.  But let’s concentrate on the first face.) Notice that the ‘Man in the Moon’ appears as though he is looking down at the Earth. ‘Shock and Awe’. That’s the look on his face. Sadness too! You might even see the tears running down his cheeks. (“Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.” Psalm 119:136) The Moon is spoken of as a “faithful witness”. God’s covenanted law is spoken of as a faithful witness as well. Listen to the Psalmist…

“It (God’s covenant with David [i.e., Christ]) shall be established for ever as the Moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.” Psalm 89:37. Notice here that God is comparing His Covenant to the Moon as a “faithful witness”. The Moon reflects the light of the Sun, just as Christians should reflect the light of the Sun of Righteousness, Jesus, who should be in their daily lives. And so the Moon fulfills the verse from Psalms which proclaims… “Praise ye him, Sun and Moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.” Psalm 148:3
