Silly Women,

.

Part 2:

“The Seven Women of Isaiah 4”

“And in that day seven women

shall take hold of one man, saying,

We will eat our own bread,

and wear our own apparel:

only let us be called by Thy name,

to take away our reproach.”

Isaiah 4:1

.

This above verse from Isaiah has mystified theologians in the past.

.

But God has opened our eyes in these last days to understand many of the allegorical statements found throughout the Bible.

.

WOMEN = CONGREGATIONS

.

But this verse from Isaiah is a relatively easy-to-understand parable if we have already grasped the meaning of “women” in the Bible. In other words, the Bible speaks of women as symbolizing congregations…

“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins,

which took their lamps,

and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.”

Matthew 25:1, 2

.

Here above, God is comparing His professed people to ten virgins, five wise, and five foolish. And the allegory of women symbolizing God’s Church is quite often used throughout Scripture.

“7” THE NUMBER OF GOD’S REST

.

And so, today’s opening verse from Isaiah is no exception! The number “7” symbolizing “Heavenly Rest” is making reference to God’s spiritual rest.

.

Therefore, these seven women are the essence of churches called to enjoy God’s heavenly, spiritual rest.

.

“THE MAN, CHRIST JESUS”

.

Now, Isaiah 4:1 reveals that these women want to take hold of one man…“And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man…”

.

Well, just what “one man” does every congregation want to take hold of? “The man, Christ Jesus”, of course! (see 1st Timothy 2:5)

.

Yes, every Christian church wants to be connected with Christ. Thus, we discern that these seven women actually symbolize the totality of the Christian churches.

HEAVENLY BREAD & APPAREL

.

But these seven women are willing to wear their own clothes and eat their own bread, yet still be called by Christ’s name…We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel…”

.

So, what on earth could this be speaking of?

.

**Well of course, to be a true church of Christ requires eating the “Bread of Life”, Jesus (John 6:35).**

.

And to be a genuine church of Christ requires the “garments of Salvation.” (Isaiah 61:10)

THEIR OWN BREAD AND APPAREL

But these seven women (churches) only want to eat their own bread (merely church doctrines/traditions), and wear their own earthly apparel, and yet still be called by this man’s name (Christ’s name).

OLD TESTAMENT FOR US!

.

Now there are many who will object, saying this passage only concerns literal Israel, and not Christians!

.

Yes, there are many who attempt to only see literal Israel in the Bible. Many think it foolishness to see the spiritual, parabolic meaning of Israel. But the Bible clearly teaches…

“Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples:

and they are written for our admonition,

upon whom the ends of the world are come.”

1st Corinthians 10:11

.

Yes, as this above verse reveals, God actually wrote all those Old Testament stories for New Testament Believers, who have now joined, “the Commonwealth of Israel”. Ephesians 2:12

CHURCHES TODAY

.

And so, as we look out upon the spiritual landscape of Christendom, do we see a fulfillment to Isaiah 4:1? Do the churches of today wear their own apparel and eat their own bread?

.

Do you see the totality of this situation? This little verse from Isaiah 4:1 is actually saying that today’s churches have no Salvation! They are merely clothed in earthly apparel and are eating the leavened bread of the world!

.

Well, is that what we see out there in today’s Christian community?

.

Oh yes, there may indeed be sincere pastors and parishioners who love the Lord. But God is now winnowing the wheat from its housing, its shell. Yes, just as a farmer would separate the wheat from the chaff on a windy day, so too, God is now separating the faithful from the unfaithful within His Church.

PAUL FORETELLS OF TOTAL APOSTASY

Well listen to Paul as he foretells of total apostasy of the churches…

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;

but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth,

and shall be turned unto fables.”

2nd Timothy 4:3, 4

.

Yes, Paul here foretells of the day when the churches will no longer tolerate the true Gospel, but must be pampered with the titillating sermons about earthly prosperity, Revelation seminars about black helicopters, and about secret societies, and about government corruption, etc….

.

Yes, to a great extent, today’s church-world has little desire to see the true spiritual nature of the Bible. And so, they have built for themselves a “high place” by inventing a totally unbiblical hermeneutic, which requires the Bible to be understood literally and not allegorically, as we have done here in allegorically interpreting Isaiah 4:1.

.

OFFENCE OF CROSS REMOVED

.

And this website has devoted much effort in spotlighting the apostasy which has swept through today’s churches. And by reading the many articles concerning the fallen condition of today’s churches, it will be discovered that these seven women wearing their own apparel and eating their own bread finds its fulfillment in today’s apostasy.

There is no Salvation in today’s churches. Most of them have removed the offence of the Cross in attempt to appease the overwhelming portion of worldly-minded and nominal church attendees.

A LITTLE BIT OF MILK

**But they give just enough, “milk of the Word”, to satisfy those who wish to close their eyes to the true apostate condition of today’s churches!**

And so, most parishioners joyfully attend church each week, hearing non-threatening sermons which allow them to return back into the world only to pursue their weekday gods for the next 6 days.

.

SILLY WOMEN OF 2ND TIMOTHY 3:6

Thus, we have churches who are spiritually like the silly women of 2nd Timothy 3:6, “led away with divers lusts”, only desiring to wear Babylonish apparel and eat their leavened bread of deceit, while drinking from the broken cisterns of the world.

END-TIME EXODUS

But the hour has come in which God is now calling His faithful ones out of Babylon, the City of Confusion, the apostate churches…

“And I heard another voice from heaven,

saying, Come out of her, My people,

that ye be not partakers of her sins,

and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

Revelation 18:4

Yes, there is an end-time Exodus which is now occurring.

GOOD NEWS!

And yet, there is some very Good News! Yes, God is giving us some extra time, to prove to all Heaven and Earth (and to ourselves, also), that we really mean business with Him. Yes, God has allowed just enough time for us to really get busy and study, and pray, and contemplate the precious words of Jesus!

And if ever there was a time to fall prostrate before Him, and plead for mercy and grace to become a true follower of Jesus, it is at this present fearful hour!

.

And those who still have an ear to hear, be they pastor, priest, or parishioner, must study things truths out, and plead for a willing heart to respond accordingly.

FIVE WISE VIRGINS STARS

This constellation was identified on May 22nd, 2014. It is simply five stars, two from the Serpens Constellation, and three from the Hercules Constellation.

What gives this constellation impetus and significance is that it appears as five evenly positioned stars, in a slight oval pattern, as if they were sitting in a meeting, listening, or perhaps watching someone.

Second, they appear to be gathered in front of The Crown of Revelation 12 Constellation. (just below Corona Borealis in this Wikipedia star-chart, in which the editor of this site sketched in these two constellations)

GATHERED AROUND GLORIOUS CROWN!

The position of these stars is significant in a number of ways. The first, being that these Five Wise Virgins are gathered around the 12-star Crown of Revelation 12. And the obvious message here is, that these wise virgins represent the faithful portion of God’s Church. And as wise virgins, they understand the importance of winning the glorious crown of victory, which Jesus promised.

Listen… “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.” 1st Corinthians 9:24, 25.

And so, God is showing us the difference between the wise and the foolish in His Church. While the wise are gathered around this crown of victory, the foolish are nowhere to be found.

CITY OF CONFUSION

Babylon was given its name during the building of that infamous Tower of Babylon, because God confused their speech…

Listen… “Therefore is the name of it called Babel;

because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth:

upon the face of all the earth.”

**And so, the name, Babylon, actually means, “City of Confusion”.**

The Bible pronounces a curse upon all those who refuse to, “Come out of Her (Babylon) My people!”

Yes, upon all those who refuse to join the Exodus out of this “City of Confusion”, the apostate churches, the following sentence is pronounced… “Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

IS THE CHURCH BABYLON?

There are many honest-hearted truth-seekers who are genuinely wondering whether or not the churches today are the Mystery Babylon spoken of in the prophets and in Revelation 17 & 18. “Just what are the evidences that the churches are apostate?”

Oh yes, they understand that a large portion of the churches are apostate. But have ALL the churches become void of God’s Spirit? “Has my little conservative church become apostate?”

This is the perplexing question that many are now asking and struggling with.

JOKERS IN THE PULPITS, NOTHING NEW!

These above words from the writings of Reformation author, Thomas Brooks, show that this great sin of modern-day preachers and evangelists is nothing new! And Brooks made this cutting statement regarding this great sin, so often seen in the pulpits of his day and of our day, as well!

.

And actually, even the Apostle, Paul, warned against the use of joking (jesting)…

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness,

let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

Neither filthiness, NOR FOOLISH TALK OR JESTING, which are not convenient:

but rather giving of thanks….

Let no man deceive you with vain words:

for because of these things cometh the wrath of God

upon the children of disobedience.”

Here again, the Apostle totally agrees with Thomas Brooks on this sin within the apostate churches.

“He (Paul) was not to be accused of levity and inconstancy, nor a contradiction between his words and intentions.”

(Above quote is from Matthew Henry’s comments on Paul’s statement concerning his “not using Lightness” in his ministry)

But listen again to the Apostle, Paul, as he condemns using humor…

“When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness?

or the things that I purpose,

do I purpose according to the flesh,

that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?”

2nd Corinthians 1:17

.

Now the Bible condemns the use of lightness in several places, such as in Jeremiah 23:32…

“Behold, I am against them that…cause My people to err by their lies,

and by their lightness;

yet I sent them not, nor commanded them:

therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.”

[condensed for brevity]

.

**Yes, the pure and holy God condemns all use of lightness (sarcasm, mocking, frivolity, joking, and flippancy). And Paul used none of these in his ministry, nor in his personal, everyday life!**

“FLEE FROM THE WRATH TO COME!”

.

What God’s people must understand, is that we are standing on the very, “ends of the world”. (1st Corinthians 10:11) Our great commission is to warn the world of God’s impending Judgment! And so, should we put them at ease by behaving like them, using humor, sarcasm, mockery, flippancy and frivolity?

.

On Judgment Day, it will be shown just what eternal damage was caused by both preachers and parishioners as we joined the world in their irreverent speeches, ourselves also becoming giddy and silly, like spiritual drunkards.

.

OUR HEAVENLY ROLE-MODEL

.

Jesus came to save the world! His death on the Cross provided the Way out of this condemned world of sin and selfishness!

.

But Jesus came as a Heaven-sent Role-Model. He said… “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” John 14:6

.

So here we see that the Way to Heaven is by following Jesus! As Paul puts it…

“I am crucified with Christ:

nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:

and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,

who loved me, and gave Himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20

.

So, Paul was dead to self, but alive through Christ. And Christ could freely live out His life through Paul!

.

**And we never ever see either Jesus nor Paul engaging in any, “foolish talk nor jesting”. And these two men are to be our heavenly role-models in all things!**

FLEE TO MOUNT SION

And so, it is no wonder that God refers to today’s church-world as Mystery Babylon. It is filled with error and confusion.

.

And this error regarding all the joking, and mockery, and silliness, and sarcasm, and flippancy in today’s pulpits, is just one more sign of the great apostasy in the churches.

.

And God is now calling any willing soul (be it pastor, priest, or parishioner) to come out of this City of Confusion, and flee to the spiritual Mount Sion, to take their stand with all those who “follow the Lamb withersoever He goeth.” Revelation 14:4

THE FIVE FOOLISH VIRGINS STARS

.

A new constellation has been revealed, as of about May 29th, 2014. This constellation appears as a snake. Its body is comprised of stars from the Bootes Constellation, and its jaws are made of the four stars which Babylonians saw as the head of Draco, the Dragon. It also has a small single star for an eye.

.

Now in this constellation is a group of five stars, which will be called “The Five Foolish Virgins Stars”. These are located on the opposite side of the Glorious Crown of 12 Stars, from the Five Wise Virgins Stars. But one big difference between the two is, that The Five Wise are curved around the Glorious Crown, while the Five Foolish are curved away from it!

“Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary”

Psalm 77:13

“Keep thy heart with all diligence;

for out of it are the issues of
life.

Put away from thee a froward mouth,

and perverse lips put far from thee.

Let thine eyes look right on,

and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

Ponder the path of thy feet,

and let all thy ways be established.

Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:

remove thy foot from evil.”

Once a year, the High Priest entered into the Most Holy Place to carry out the most solemn and holy and final duties of the year-long temple rituals.

.

And the chosen priesthood was the most solemn of all duties, requiring complete consecration before entering! This was a life-and-death matter! There was to be no flippancy nor lightness in the life of that High Priest!

.

If he should go into that Most Holy Place with unconfessed sins, he was subject to being struck dead before he left that holy room!

NEW TESTAMENT PRIESTHOOD: US!

.

The New Testament tells us…

“But ye are a chosen generation,

a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people;

that ye should show forth the praises of Him,

who has called you out of darkness,

and into His marvellous light:”

1st Peter 2:9

.

Now, because we New Testament Believers have been chosen to be a royal priesthood, we have the responsibility to carry on the duties of the priesthood. And God expects no less from us than He required from those priests of olden times!

KINGDOM OF GOD WITHIN US!

.

Now we should never feel that we are priests without a tabernacle! The Lord reveals to us…

“for ye are the temple of the living God;

as God hath said, I will dwell in them,

and walk in them; and I will be their God,

and they shall be My people.

Wherefore come out from among them,

and be ye separate, saith the Lord,

and touch not the unclean [thing];

and I will receive you,”

2nd Corinthians 6:16, 17

.

So we, His Elect, are the true tabernacle. And since God declares that He dwells in us, then we share in the priestly duties with Him, who is our High Priest, ministering along side of us in our soul-temple sanctuary.

ENCOURAGED TO READ PART 1

And so, in Part 1 (click here to read), the basic care and maintenance of our Most Holy Place in our heart was laid out. And the reader is highly encouraged to read Part 1. Because this Part 2 will make much more sense in the light of what was discussed in Part 1.

Yes, the more we understand the holiness of God’s temple service, the more reverent we will be in the daily care and maintenance of our heart.

DAILY PRAYER FOR AN AWARENESS

And it would be wise to pray each and every day that God might give us an ongoing awareness that we are a Royal Priesthood, as it says in various places in the New Testament. (1st Peter 2:9)

**And so, as that Royal Priesthood, we need to make sure that we keep our heart holy and undefiled.**

UNGODLINESS IS EVERYWHERE!

Now, living, working, or going to school in this Babylonish world, it is inevitable that we are going to encounter sin.

.

We’re going to hear ungodly chatter and un-Christian, sensual music at times, as we walk through the stores.

.

We may even be in a living situation which exposes us to ungodliness.

.

In such situations, we patiently endure.

NO EXCUSE FOR CARELESSNESS

But because we will encounter sin in this world doesn’t mean that we should begin to take a careless attitude regarding ungodly influences.

No, listen to the Wise Man, Solomon…

The Bible constantly warns the Christian to be very careful about our heart! After all, the heart is the “treasure chest of the mind”! And we need to carefully guard our heart from needlessly exposing ourselves to the ever-increasing ungodly sights and sounds of Satan’s kingdom, this world!

OUR PRIESTHOOD NOT GUARANTEED!

Now the Bible is filled with warnings and threats, and we must never take these warnings lightly…

Listen…“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:

because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee,

that thou shalt be no priest to Me:

seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God,

I will also forget thy children.”

Hosea 4:6

Don’t get the notion that this verse is merely for Old Testament priests! “Now all these things…are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.” 1st Corinthians 10:11

.

Yes, these things concerning the priesthood were written for our admonition in these New Testament times! And if we continue to carelessly defile our Holy Place with the filth of the world, God just might remove us from this office. Because, everything we voluntarily see or listen to, will find its place in our hearts and minds. And these will have a corrupting influence, just as it is written… “Do not be deceived! Evil communications corrupt good manners!” 1st Corinthians 15:33

PLEAD FOR GRACE AND FOR PROTECTION

.

And so, it is imperative that we begin each new day, pleading with God to help us to keep away from enjoying the devilish Babylonish hub-bub and sensuality which pervades nearly every corner and crevice of today’s society! But instead, we need to keep in unceasing prayer and contemplation of God’s Word, as we go about our day.

.

We are to be priests from morning through night! This requires a Christlike character. And if we don’t yet have a Christlike character, we need to plead for it, and seek for it as for hidden treasure! And anything that keeps us from having that kind of character should be prayerfully considered for the trash-heap!

“COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM”

.

Babylonish shepherds will often encourage their flocks to make friendships with unbelievers, as a means of converting them to Christianity.

.

But more often than not, it is the churchgoer who becomes the converted one, being brought back into the world! You don’t read about the early church going out to make personal friendships with the unbelieving world. No, rather, they merely preached the Gospel whenever possible.

.

And the Bible warns us…

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:

for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?…etc…

for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said,

I will dwell in them, and walk in them;

and I will be their God,

and they shall be My people.

Wherefore come out from among them,

and be ye separate, saith the Lord,

and touch not the unclean [thing];

and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you,

and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”

2nd Corinthians 6:14, 16-18

There is nothing in this above passage that encourages us to make personal friendships with unbelievers. Just the opposite! We are commanded to separate from them! Oh yes, we may wish to tell unbelievers about Salvation. But we must avoid allowing them to persuade us to remain on their turf!

“LET HIM THAT READS, RUN!”

.

**We are now in the day when Habakkuk warns us to “RUN!” And beside running away from the apostate churches, we must also run to the Narrow Gate.**

.

And though God may have winked at our ignorance in the past decades, that time has come and gone. Habakkuk now says, “RUN!”, and so we had better, “RUN!”

.

And the Book of Habakkuk tells us where we must flee to…

“The LORD God is my strength,

and He will make my feet like hinds’ feet,

and He will make me to walk upon mine high places.”

Habakkuk 3:19

.

So let us pray for those “hind’s feet”, that we might get ourselves up to “mine high places”, that is, to our priestly calling in the cleansed sanctuary of our heart, to pray, to worship, and to behold His beauty and holiness!

THE NARROW GATE STARS

.

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story). Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).

.

And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch to left). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

.

The sketch to left shows, the two doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch below left).

“Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men,

neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows:

for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer,

and every mouth speaketh folly.

For all this His anger is not turned away,

but His hand is stretched out still.”

In the Book of Daniel, is that infamous story of King Belshazzar, King Nebuchadnezzar’s son (some say grandson).

.

Yes, on that fateful night, as Belshazzar hosted a grand feast, Belshazzar saw, “the hand-writing on the wall”.

.

And right in the middle of the party, a hand wrote on the wall, “Thou art weighed in the balances and found wanting (lacking).”

.

God had judged the king, finding his sins inexcusable when compared to the light given him. And so, these frightful words of condemnation were merely the beginning of Belshazzar’s night of terror, as the enemies of Babylon were just about to break right through those so-called, “impregnable” Babylonish walls!

WE TOO WILL BE WEIGHED IN THE BALANCES!

And this story stands as a frightful warning to all Christians, that our Judgment Day is, likewise, not slumbering!

And we must strive to improve upon our present daily circumstances, to expel our earthly ways, and become transformed into the likeness of Jesus!

.

Listen… “And every man that hath this hope in Him (to meet the Lord in peace), purifies himself, even as He (Jesus) is pure.” 1st John 3:3

.

And so, this devotional will attempt to spotlight a very common sin, which is so grievous to the Lord, that when weighed in the balances will only condemn us on our night of reckoning!

NO MONEY FOR ADDICTIONS?

.

Have you ever passed by someone standing by a street with a sign, begging for a hand-out? And then, as you considered whether or not to stop and give some money, you said to yourself, “Why should I give him money? He’s just gonna go spend it on alcohol!”

AM I JUST A HYPOCRITE?

.

But God is the searcher of hearts (Jeremiah 17:10). And He knows every thought and intention of our heart! And whether or not we realize it, we are being weighed in the balances of the scales of justice!

.

And so, before we deny others some little financial help, perhaps we need to ask ourselves the question: “Am I being a hypocrite, by refusing to give to this person? Am I really so concerned about this person’s alcohol problem? Or is this just a convenient excuse?”

.

The fact is, many of us who get self-righteous on behalf of those alcoholics, begging for a drink, need to consider how much we spend for our own addictions!

.

WHAT ABOUT MY OWN ADDICTIONS?

.

Don’t I spend money for my love of junk food? Don’t I indulge myself with various unhealthy treats? Am I addicted to coffee, tea, or soft drinks…or sugar?

Or do I habitually frequent expensive restaurants?

.

Or how about my TV remote? Do I spend hundreds of dollars each year for cable TV, and movie rentals, etc.?

.

Or am I a compulsive shopper?

.

Or do I lavish money on my pride, in the form of showy cars, clothes, or expensive homes and gardens?

.

Or do I spend money on my addiction to sports or other amusements?

LAVISHING MONEY ON MY OWN ADDICTIONS

Yes, addictions come in many forms. And to deny some poor street person some small pittance, to “save him from his addiction”, while lavishing money and time on my own addictions and affections is slightly hypocritical, don’t you think?

.

As a Christian, wouldn’t it be more righteous to help out that drunkard with a dollar or two, considering the thousands I spend on my own addictions each year?

AWAKENING TO MY UNDONE CONDITION

The Good News is that it is still the day of Salvation! And just like old Ebenezer Scrooge, we can awake from our death-like slumber, and begin to turn our lives around!

Yes, we can carry around some spare dollars (and begin to stop and give to those in need, just like old Ebenezer!

.

And just pray to God for that drunkard’s Salvation, and for his deliverance from his alcohol habit!

God’s Covenant (The Gospel) has been inscribed in the sky. In the night sky, predominantly. It has been established “as the Moon, and as a faithful witness…”.

**That there would be “signs in the Sun… moon, and…stars” (Luke 21:25) just before the end, was a promise made by God.**

But we didn’t know exactly what those signs would be (although many thought they knew).

Nor did we realize that these signs would be pointing us to present Bible truths!

“Dwelling With The Devouring Fire!”

“The sinners in Zion are afraid;

fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites.

Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?

Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly;

he that despiseth the gain of oppressions,

that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes,

that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood,

and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

He shall dwell on high:

his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks:

bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

Thine eyes shall see the king in His beauty:

they shall behold the land that is very far off.”

Isaiah 33:14-17

There are many in Christendom who are under the delusion that merely claiming the name of Jesus is their key to Heaven.

And while Salvation is the free gift of God, the evidence of that Salvation is a life of ever-increasing holiness…

Listen…“For they (our earthly fathers)

verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure;

but He (God) for our profit,

that we might be partakers of His holiness.”

Hebrews 12:10

.

And so, here is seen the line of demarcation between, “him that serves God and him that serves Him not!” Malachi 3:18

HEARTS KNIT TOGETHER WITH THE WORLD

.

The vast majority of those who profess to serve God are not actively nor wholeheartedly engaging in the purification of their heart. Their heart is still knitted together with the world.

.

Listen to Scripture…

“Who among us shall dwell with the Devouring Fire?…

He that walks righteously…

that stops his ears from hearing of blood,

and shuts his eyes from seeing evil…”

Isaiah 33:14, 15.

.

Notice it says here that only those who stop their ears from the hearing of blood, and the seeing of evil, will dwell with the Devouring Fire (God). Sounds a lot like the nightly news, doesn’t it?

.

DAILY PARTAKING OF THE WORLD

.

To sit and watch evil and to hear blood (violence) on a daily basis, will most certainly have a deleterious effect on the Soul and a quenching of the Holy Spirit.

**This above verse (Isaiah 33:14, 15.) tells us just who will stand in the Day of Judgment: those who shut their eyes from seeing evil, and their ears from hearing violence.**

HEAVENLY VIRTUES OR FLESHLY DESIRES?

.

Yes, as children of God, we don’t want to dwell on crime and violence. But rather, as Paul exhorts us… “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true… honest… just… pure… lovely… of good report.. virtuous… praise-worthy, think on these things!” Philippians 4:8.

.

Does television fulfill this Bible verse? Of course not! Just the opposite! Television, to a great extent, extols the works of the flesh: lust, greed, selfishness, anger, pride, revenge, arrogance, sarcasm, comedy, faithlessness, blasphemy, insolence, indifference, and a host of similar works of the flesh.

.

A FORM OF GODLINESS

.

And yet, television quite often dresses up these fleshly qualities with some nice-sounding music, some colorful lights, charismatic actors, and a sympathetic story-line.

.

And so, like never before in history, Satan can now make sin appear very desirable, even good and incredibly interesting!

.

A WHOLE-HEARTED DEVOTION

.

And so, the bottom line to all this is, are we willing to set our earthly desires aside, and fully devote ourselves to the renewing of our mind, and the transformation of our life, into the image and likeness of Christ?

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,

that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,

holy, acceptable unto God,

which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world:

but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Romans 12:1, 2

Here is another passage which exhorts us to come up higher in our service and devotion to God.

A SPIRITUAL LIFE

Oh yes, we still have the responsibility to work and provide for the needs and comfort and the happiness of our family.

But by prayerfully keeping our mind fixed on Jesus, whether at work, or at recreation with our family, or while walking or lying down, our prayers, our meditation on His Word can be silently and secretly ascending up to the heavenly throne-room!

.

This is the easy yoke which the Lord wants us to wear. And through the indwelling of His Spirit, these light burdens become our greatest joy!

THE HOLY GHOST RIDER CONSTELLATION

.

This newest Signs Of Heaven Constellation (Fall, 2013) is by far the faintest of constellations, but is a very incredible and awesome one in a number of ways (which this article will explain).

.

It is primarily comprised of the Camelopardalis Constellation (head and upper back), plus about 5 stars from the Cassiopeia Constellation (his leg), plus some random stars. It appears as an outline of a rider. Only the back of his head is detailed. And his back and the back of his legs are also detailed. Both sides of his arm are visible, and his hand is gripping the horses mane, and that is detailed by three stars (which are also part of the horse’s mane). The rider is in a position vaguely similar to a race-horse jockey. The two brightest stars in this constellation, are from the Cassiopeia Constellation, and are part of his leg. All the rest of the stars are very faint, and must be viewed on a very starry night.

THE SPIDER-WEB: A PERFECT METAPHOR FOR IMPRISONMENT & DESTRUCTION

Today’s devotional is a short excerpt from the Signs Of Heaven article, “Confessions of a Political Junkie”, and deals with the spider-web of politics and how hard it is to be set free of this powerful addiction…

.

THE TRAP OF POLITICS

.

Back in about 1989, as I was turning off from Date Palm Drive into my Father’s Gated Community in Cathedral City. As I was about to enter, I turned the radio dial and heard the tail-end of a conversation between an ex-rock-n-roller-turned-conservative, and a certain right-wing radio talk show host. It was very interesting and, well, frankly I agreed with the moralistic viewpoints being tossed about.

.

Well, to make a long story short, from that point onward, I became a radio talk show junkie. I began listening to these talk shows, day and night. And as a Christian, I could find much in what they were saying that I agreed with. Now, I must say, that I had previously been totally immersed in the Bible. But now, my time was divided with this new addition into my daily mental and spiritual diet. I bought a little radio, and headphones, and went through many days listening to these, “fiery preachers of apple pie, motherhood, God, and the American way”. And so, through the 1990’s, I became torn between my previous love for the Bible and my newly acquired love for politics. After some years, I even went back to watching TV (something I had given up as a new Christian, during the 80’s.) So I found a politically based news channel, and added that to my daily diet.

.

And, even though the conservative party has an element of Christianity mingled in, I nevertheless realized it was a rather nominal type of religion. It was more of a “group-think” moralistic religion, rather than a personal one-on-one relationship with the Lord.

.

I guess the pinnacle of my habitual political bondage came to a climactic scenario, when I got into a heated exchange one sunny afternoon with my neighbor.

.

What I had become was definitely NOT the purity and holiness of Jesus! And the overwhelming conviction came over me, that true Christianity points the accusing finger at my own sinful self as the “chief of sinners“, while politics points at “those people over there” as the great evil.

.

ON THE PATHWAY BACK HOME

.

“And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness;” Isaiah 35:8

.

And so began the arduous sojourn back to the purity of the Gospel. And I want to tell you, it was a very long and difficult road to recovery! I had become a political junkie. I was an addict. Whenever the news came on, my heart would begin to pound with excitement. But I had to give it up. I knew that if I didn’t, I was just a Christian pretender.

.

But I knew I must overcome. And so I prayed for victory. I tried to stop listening to all these shows. Radio shows. TV shows. And nightly news. It had all become addicting, and it all had to go. One day I would have victory. The next day, I would be back on it once again. This battle went on for years. And many tears were shed in prayer for my deliverance.

.

VICTORY CAME

.

Well, finally about 4 years ago (2008 or 2009) the Lord graciously took this addiction away. I pulled the rabbit ears off my TV and shut off the radio.

.

I had wasted 20 years which could have been used for prayer and Bible study. I would no doubt have become much more spiritually mature, if I had only stuck with the Bible for those 20 years. Ah but now, the words of a well-known poet seem so appropriate: “The saddest words by tongue or pen are these, ‘What might have been!” (Whittier)

“A Hedge With A Swinging Gate”

“Then Satan answered the LORD, and said,

‘Doth Job fear God for nought?

Hast not Thou made an hedge about him,

and about his house,

and about all that he hath on every side?”

Job 1:9, 10

The story of Job is a very instructive account in many ways. It pulls back the curtain of how God and Satan both interact concerning the affairs of men.

.

And one revelation from this most ancient book is how God puts a hedge (a wall) around the life of His faithful people, to prevent Satan and his fellow evil angels from breaking through. Yes, Job enjoyed God’s protection for many years, prior to his great trials.

.

JOB PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE

.

And so, this one aspect of the Book of Job, concerning God’s hedge about Job and all his household, becomes, “profitable for doctrine, confirmation, correction and instruction in righteousness”, that we might become, “perfect, thoroughly equipped unto all good works!” (2nd Timothy 3:16, 17)

.

In other words, this hedge that God had placed around faithful Job, is a picture of what God does for any and all His faithful followers! Yes, those who prayerfully and faithfully follow Jesus can expect that God has a wall of protection around them and their household.

A HEDGE IS NOW NEEDED MORE THAN EVER!

.

Now, the reason for even bringing up this subject is to address a problem within the household of God.

.

Yes, in this increasingly dangerous and evil world, it becomes imperative for parents to have a strong wall of protection around their household. Satan is on the march! He is coming for our children and grandchildren. And he now has an arsenal of weaponry which he never before had: soul-destroying weaponry such as high-tech devices, television, clubs, sports, radio, sensual music, entertainment, games, drugs, and a vast array of inventions designed to deter our children and grandchildren from becoming Christians!

.

Now every concerned parent wants to have God’s wall of protection around their households.

.

A HEDGE WITH A SWINGING GATE

.

But tragically, many parents have constructed a door, a gate into God’s wall of protection. In other words, so many of us dedicated parents and grandparents have access to and from the world-loving endeavors, via the gate which we have installed into God’s hedge around us!

.

Yes, most of us can easily go back and forth through this gate, whenever we wish. For instance, if we watch television, or listen to sensual music, then we have just left our wall of protection, and have entered back into the world. And if we allow our young children to watch television, or listen to sensual music, then we have allowed them access back into the world.

.

Or if we have secular friendships, we indeed have installed a gate in which we can easily go back and forth into the world. By violating God’s command to, “Come out from among them and be ye separate…” 2nd Corinthians 6:17, we now have a swinging door to and from the lust and selfish-pleasures of this world.

.

GATE GIVES SATAN ACCESS TO OUR HOME

.

The great problem with all this is that the same spiritual gate that we travel through back and forth into worldliness, is the very same gate which Satan and his evil angels also freely use to gain access into our home!

.

And then it should not surprise us to discover that our spouse and children have little love for the things of Heaven! Neither should it surprise us when the day comes that tragedy strikes one of our family members. After all, by allowing Satan free access via our swinging gate, we will eventually reap the whirlwind, as the saying goes.

.

GATE MUST BE REMOVED

.

And so, the whole point of today’s devotional is to encourage Christians to close up that gate of access, so that the Enemy of Souls can no longer have access to our spouse and children. And grandparents must likewise close up any breach in the wall of God’s protection around our own lives. Because the faithfulness of grandparents will have a great influence upon their grown-up children as well as on their grandchildren!

.

And it is by shunning the many selfish attractions and ungodly influences of this fallen world, and instead prayerfully filling my heart with the pure Word of Truth, that God will place that hedge of protection around my life.

Come Out of Her, My People!

Part 21:

“Decimating The Book of Job”

“Flee out of the midst of Babylon,

and deliver every man his soul:

be not cut off in her iniquity;

for this is the time of the LORD’S vengeance;

He will render unto her a recompense.”

Jeremiah 51:6

IS THE CHURCH BABYLON?

.

There are many honest-hearted truth-seekers who are genuinely wondering whether or not the churches today are the Mystery Babylon spoken of in the prophets and in Revelation 17 & 18. “Just what are the evidences that the churches are apostate?”

.

And the reader is encouraged to click on and begin reading this series of devotionals called “Come Out of Her, My People”, to gain a fuller understanding of just why God considers today’s churches to be spiritual Babylon.

Oh yes, they understand that a large portion of the churches are apostate. But have ALL the churches become void of God’s Spirit? “Has my little conservative church become apostate?” This is the perplexing question that many are now asking and struggling with.

Now, today’s devotional will focus upon a false and heretical doctrine now being taught in some of the more conservative churches, concerning the Book of Job.

ALL SCRIPTURE IS DOCTRINAL & INFALLIBLE

.

Even though today’s churches claim to lift up the Bible as God’s infallible Word, but in many instances, it is discovered that they do not trust the whole Bible! And their stance on the Book of Job is just one example of their duplicity.

.

And they seem to ignore, or do not understand that God spoke through Paul to affirm the infallibility of ALL the Bible…

.

Listen to God’s Word…

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God,

and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,

for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect,

thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

2nd Timothy 3:16, 17

.

Now this above statement by Paul places God’s seal of approval on ALL the Bible, not just most of the Bible! And the Book of Job is every bit as infallible as is say, the Book of John!

JOB’S 3 FRIENDS SPOKE TRUTH

.

Now there is one other way to prove the infallibility of Job. Just try to find all the errors in Job! You won’t! And that’s because there aren’t any!

.

God said to Job’s friend, Eliphaz the Temanite…

“My wrath is kindled against thee,

and against thy two friends:

for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right,

as my servant Job hath.”

.

But what those critics of the Book of Job do not realize is that Eliphaz and his two friends omitted the purifying-of-the-heart aspect of God. In other words, these three friends didn’t understand that Job’s trials were for Job’s perfection. They erroneously thought that God was merely punishing Job for his sins…

.

THEY DIDN’T UNDERSTAND THE HEART PURIFYING

.

But listen to Job…“But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10

.

This wonderful verse spoken by Job explains so much of what the Bible is all about: the purification of God’s people!

.

Listen…“That the trial of your faith,

being much more precious than of gold that perisheth,

though it be tried with fire,

might be found unto praise and honour and glory

at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”

1st Peter 1:7

.

So here we see that the trials which Christians must go through are compared to the purifying of gold, tried in the fire. And so, while the statements of Job’s three “friends” were biblically correct, they did not take into account that purifying process that God sends His people through. And they only saw that God was punishing Job for Job’s wickedness.

THEY DENY OTHER SCRIPTURES TOO!

.

And this same error is made by today’s world.

.

For instance, the general consensus in Christendom today, is that the fiery Book of Revelation is only about the punishment of the wicked.

.

But upon comparing Scripture with Scripture, it will be discovered that Revelation is written in types and symbols, concerning the Gospel of Jesus Christ: it is the revelation of Jesus Christ, howbeit veiled in types and shadows.

FLEE TO MOUNT SION

.

And so, it is no wonder that God refers to today’s church-world as Mystery Babylon. It is filled with error and confusion.

.

And God is now calling His people to come out of this City of Confusion, and flee to the spiritual Mount Sion, to take their stand with all those who, “follow the Lamb withersoever He goeth.” Revelation 14:4

.

1st FACE IN THE MOON

“Then the moon shall be confounded (or “ashamed”),

and the sun ashamed,

when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion,

As this above verse states, the Moon is a picture of being confounded, as we can see by his sad eyes!

But having said all this, why would God speak about the Moon as if it were a person? And why does He say that the Moon will be confounded? How can an inanimate object be confounded (i.e., “perplexed”, “confused”, “amazed”). And why does God refer to the Moon as “her” (“the moon shall not give HER light.” Ezek. 32:7)? Such odd language! When a man, woman, or child begins the Christian sojourn, Satan becomes very nervous, and sets about to derail that neophyte Believer’s walk with the Lord.

.

And one of Satan’s time-tested traps is to convince the Christian that he or she is missing out on certain “necessary and fulfilling” worldly pleasures.

.

And so, this hellish conman, Satan, puts a nagging urge in that unseasoned churchgoer for this or for that worldly pleasure or earthly pursuit.

.

And soon, the Christian begins to think that it is necessary to add some worldly pleasure back into his life, in order to be fulfilled.

.

MANY WORLDLY PURSUITS

.

Perhaps Satan will tempt us to re-introduce a little wine-drinking, or resuming worldly-sounding music, or joining some secular club, or watching TV, or listening to secular talk shows, or frequent trips to costly restaurants and cafes, or returning to amusements and sports, or beginning some ambitious career pursuit, or seeking after romance, etc., etc…

.

Well this above list mentions just a few of the earthly cares and pleasures which Satan uses to lure the unsuspecting follower of Jesus back into the world.

.

SEEKING WORLDLY ADVICE

.

And then, the naïve Christian begins to ask questions of his pastor or the elders as well as other more mature Christians. “Is it okay to drink a little wine?” “Is watching sports okay?” “Should I join a singles website?”

.

Now, one great problem with going to humans with such questions as these is this: you are putting your trust in fallible humans and may receive some really bad advice!

.

Especially in this day of church-apostasy, it may even be dangerous to go to church leaders with such critical questions…

.

SATAN’S “MINISTERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS”

.

Listen… “O My people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” Isaiah 3:12

.

**Here we see that Satan will come as an angel of light, and transform his ministers into “ministers of righteousness”, to “deceive if possible, even the Elect!” Matthew 24:24**

.

And unfortunately, the churches, to a great degree, have embraced this selfish, fallen and deceitful world, and the many cares and pleasures which absorb men’s thoughts. And as a result, the churches have become so mired in earthly pursuits. therefore, to go to them for advice on such matters is probably not wise. The inquiring Christian is probably going to get a worldly-compromised answer.

MANY DENY SATAN’S POWER TO DECEIVE & DESTROY

There are many in the Church who work overtime to deny the power of Satan, saying… “Oh it’s just our weak sinful flesh! Satan has no more power over us!”

Well, yes, the Bible speaks of our weak flesh, and also speaks of Satan’s diminished capabilities over the Christian. But these truths must be balanced with the rest of the Bible…

OUR BATTLE WITH SPIRITUAL ENTITIES

.

Yes, these truths must be balanced with the rest of the Bible…

.

Listen…“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,

but against principalities, against powers,

against the rulers of the darkness of this world,

against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,

that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day…”

Ephesians 6:12, 13

.

So here we see that our struggle is not with flesh and blood, but with, “…the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places…”

.

Yes, all the naggings, clamorings, and tuggings of the flesh are probably none other than Satan and his fellow evil angels working on the mind, to cause the believer to fall.

THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN CHRISTIANITY!

Now having established this fact, let’s get to the main point of today’s devotional…

.

And just what is the main point to be made in today’s devotional?

.

Listen to Paul… “But what things were gain to me,

those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss

for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:

for whom I have suffered the loss of all things,

and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,”

Philippians 3:7, 8

.

Now if ever there was a scripture worthy of memorizing, this passage from Philippians is it! Yes, let each and every Stranger & Pilgrim emblazon this passage upon the tables of his or her heart!

MOST QUESTIONS WOULD BE ANSWERED

Yes, if only God’s professed people would take this passage to heart, then would most all the nagging questions be answered!

You see, Paul is laying down the first and foremost duty of every man, woman, and child who dares take the holy name of Christ upon our lips!

Yes, to overcome the flesh! That is our greatest commission from God!

A TRUTH WHICH MUST BE EMBRACED

Listen…“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” Galatians 5:24

This above verse from Galatians presents a great truth, which, although mentioned in passing in today’s Church, is not emphasized nearly enough, nor is properly understood.

.

So, as a result, most churchgoers have not yet grasped this great truth. Thus, the churches are filled with still unconverted and still unsanctified world-loving professors of Christ!

But once the Believer fully and finally takes hold of this truth from Galatians 5:24, that we are to crucify the flesh with both the lusts, but also the affections, then all those perplexing gray areas of life will no longer confuse and deceive the Christian.

Yes, once the Believer begins to re-order his or her life, so as to make this truth, of overcoming, the over-arching principle of everyday life, then the eyes of that Believer begin to be opened to see the other great truths of Salvation…

.

Listen… “(I, Paul) Cease not…

making mention of you in my prayers;

That…The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;

that ye may know what is the hope of His calling,

and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,”

Ephesians 1:16-18 (condensed for brevity)

Paul here exhorts the already saved Ephesians to have their eyes enlightened that “that ye may know what is the hope of His calling”.

.

And this devotional is trying to emphasize that “hope of His calling”, namely this: that we become finally and fully engaged in the purification and sanctification of our heart!

A GREAT MOUNTAIN

That’s right! Once we fully engage ourselves in this greatest of all commissions (to purify our hearts and conform our lives into the image of Christ), we will have conquered a great mountain of ignorance (which mountain, by the way, is strewn with the bodies of so many apostate churchgoers over the past centuries.)

Yes, to finally come to the point that we are ready to make it our whole-hearted devotion to overcome the world, the flesh and the Devil, we will now have an eye single to God’s glory.

And now, the Devil’s hold over us will have been greatly diminished!

A FAILED PREDICTION?

.

A few years ago, a certain radio Bible teacher made the seemingly failed prediction that May 21st, 2011 would be the last day of earth’s existence, because of the long-promised return of Christ in the clouds of glory.

.

And of course, when that day came and went, the world began throwing verbal stones at Harold Camping.

A RE-EXAMINATION

.

But let’s examine his supposed false prediction, for just a moment.

.

Was Camping really incorrect? And was Harold Camping really a false teacher?

.

If we are truly like those noble Bereans, we might wish to take some time out to re-examine this greatly-maligned and much-despised Bible teacher.

“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you”

.

After all, when the entire world begins to throw rocks at a Bible-believing teacher, then perhaps there might be some good thing discovered about that Bible teacher…

“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you,

and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in Heaven:

for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”

Matthew 5:11, 12

This passage from Matthew’s Gospel reveals that those who proclaim the true Gospel will be hated and maligned by the world.

HABAKKUK’S TARRYING TIME

.

And, as far as this end-of-the-world message being delayed, well, just listen to the prophet, Habakkuk…

“And the LORD answered me, and said,

‘Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables,

that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:

though it tarry, wait for it;

because it will surely come, it will not tarry…”

Habakkuk 2:2, 3

.

So, here we have a prophecy concerning these last days, regarding the time when this vision will speak, causing God’s people to “RUN!”

.

But notice that the Lord tells Habakkuk that the vision will be delayed in some way.

NOT A LITERAL 24-HOUR DAY

.

Through his long ministry, Harold Camping always taught that the Day of the Lord would NOT be a literal 24-hour period.

.

And yet, so often, the Bible allows a time of disappointment to test God’s people.

.

For instance, when Jesus was buried, the hopes of His otherwise faithful followers were dashed to pieces. But what they did not understand is, there was to be a tarrying time!

.

Yet, in a short time, the Lord rose up from the dead to become the victorious Savior of the world!

.

Their tears turned into laughter and joy…

“BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH”

Revelation 2:10

.

And so, God wants His people to remain faithful, even when things don’t seem to go our way! Even when disappointing circumstances bring dark and heavy clouds, obscuring the bright sunshine of His love for a time, we must remain faithful!

.

Make no mistake, O Stranger & Pilgrim of the Cross! The end has come! The Day of the Lord has arrived! The Last Day is here!

.

But it is not a 24-hour day, as Harold Camping supposed! There has been a tarrying time, just as surely as there was for those disciples who supposed that Jesus was a failure!

HABAKKUK VISION NOW SPEAKING

Yes, we stare in amazement at the horrific events occurring around the world, realizing that the prophecy of Habakkuk is just now being fulfilled with the speed of leopards!

It tarried, and yet, it did not tarry, just as Habakkuk 2:2 prophesied!

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:

though it tarry, wait for it;

THE DAY of the LORD HAS COME!

Yes, dear trembling child of God, the Last Day has indeed come!

But the time before us has been given us, even as a gift from Heaven, to strengthen our faith, even as the faith of Jesus!

Listen… “Here is the patience of the saints:

here are they that keep the commandments of God (the Bible),

AND THE FAITH OF JESUS.”

Revelation 14:12

And though the whole world will begin to crumble all around us, we must look up, and lift up our heads, to behold the Savior looking down on us in love!

THIS STAR-CHART: This is a Wikipedia star-chart, in which this site’s editor has sketched in these three constellations (without the Holy-Ghost-Rider Constellation). Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon. Also notice his eye is a star.

It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation. It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west. The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation. The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.

shall take hold of one man, saying,

only let us be called by Thy name,

This above verse from Isaiah has mystified theologians in the past.

But God has opened our eyes in these last days to understand many of the allegorical statements found throughout the Bible.

WOMEN = CONGREGATIONS

.

But this verse from Isaiah is a relatively easy-to-understand parable if we have already grasped the meaning of “women” in the Bible. In other words, the Bible speaks of women as symbolizing congregations…

“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins,

which took their lamps,

and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.”

.

Here above, God is comparing His professed people to ten virgins, five wise, and five foolish. And the allegory of women symbolizing God’s Church is quite often used throughout Scripture.

And so, today’s opening verse from Isaiah is no exception! The number “7” symbolizing “Heavenly Rest” is making reference to God’s spiritual rest.

Therefore, these seven women are the essence of churches called to enjoy God’s heavenly, spiritual rest.

“THE MAN, CHRIST JESUS”

.

Now, Isaiah 4:1 reveals that these women want to take hold of one man…“And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man…”

.

Well, just what “one man” does every congregation want to take hold of? “The man, Christ Jesus”, of course! (see 1st Timothy 2:5)

.

Yes, every Christian church wants to be connected with Christ. Thus, we discern that these seven women actually symbolize the totality of the Christian churches.

HEAVENLY BREAD & APPAREL

.

But these seven women are willing to wear their own clothes and eat their own bread, yet still be called by Christ’s name…We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel…”

.

**Well of course, to be a true church of Christ requires eating the “Bread of Life”, Jesus (John 6:35).**
