Daily Devotional, Year 2 – NOVEMBER 10

The Psalms’ Power Over Evil Spirits

.

“And it came to pass,

when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul,

that David took an harp,

and played with his hand:

so Saul was refreshed, and was well,

and the evil spirit departed from him.”

1st Samuel 16:23

We live in a world today, in which there are so many different sounds and noises.

.

And those living in the big cities must live and work and play amidst all the din and clamor which pervades the smokey urban air.

.

Yes, we live in a world of troubles and sorrows.

.

And for those of us who have been let in on the big secret of the Gospel, we understand that Satan and his vast armies of unseen spirit beings are working invisibly behind the scenes, carrying on their 24/7/365 warfare against the human race, and against God’s people!

MENTAL ILLNESS or EVIL SPIRITS?

.

But here in 1st Samuel, Chapter 16, is the true account of King Saul, in a very revealing situation in which Saul is being troubled by evil spirits.

.

Oh yes, this atheistic world would claim that Saul is merely suffering from a bi-polar condition.

.

In other words, Saul was merely going in and out of “mental depression” (they might claim). And his personality would swing from, “nice and congenial”, at one moment, to sudden bursts of, “violence and anger”, at another moment!

.

And so, King Saul had a classic case of bi-polar disorder…well…according to the world, that is.

SPIRITS, NOT MENTAL ILLNESS

.

But surprise, surprise! When David was first brought in to sing Psalms before King Saul, the evil spirit would leave Saul, delivering him from His so-called mental illness…

“And it came to pass,

when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul,

that David took an harp, and played with his hand:

so Saul was refreshed, and was well,

and the evil spirit departed from him.”

1st Samuel 16:23

And so, this above verse reveals that it was an evil spirit, and NOT so-called, “bi-polar disorder” that overtook Saul at times!

**Now listen to the Apostle, Paul, as he reveals that “perfect peace” is possible to the Christian…**

“And the peace of God,

which passeth all understanding,

shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:7 (read and memorize verses 4-9 of this chapter!)

SOME GOOD MEDICINE

.

Now as already stated, there are many people today who are suffering from depression and anxiety and fearfulness, etc….

.

Perhaps what these people need is some of that same prescription of medicine which David gave to Saul. Maybe, just maybe, a good dose of the Psalms is exactly what the Doctor ordered! Doctor Jesus, that is!

.

Oh no, this website does not encourage Readers to throw away their medications. But in addition to these, why not just get hold of a nice audio version of the Psalms on CD, or on the Internet? And then just listen to those wonderful Words of God? With today’s technology, you can listen to any version at any speed. (Or even listen to some beautiful soft strings).

.

Yes, there are many who listen to the Psalms, as well as other Old and New Testament books on audio. And for hours upon hours, one can enjoy hearing God’s Word. And there are even a few versions in which the speaker talks slower and is not so rushed. And the Psalms are available on YouTube and other audio services which allow the listener to slow down the reading. (Many may prefer to READ the Psalms, etc., instead of listening on audio)

PSALMS NO LONGER HELPED SAUL

But later on, when evil spirits overtook Saul, David’s Psalms no longer drove out those evil angels.

.

What happened?

.

Well, perhaps it was because Saul never made a permanent connection with the Holy Spirit!

.

And so, this website highly encourages all of us to make our connection with the Holy Spirit strong and sure…

“Wherefore the rather, brethren,

give diligence to make your calling and election sure:

for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:”

MAKE YOUR LITTLE CORNER OF HEAVEN!

Yes, we must do everything to make our connection strong and sure, with the Spirit of Holiness!

.

So why not go all the way, and completely surround one’s own self with a heavenly atmosphere of celestial choirs too? And by turning off the secular media, and turning on the Bible, one can turn his or her little corner of the world, into a little corner of Heaven!

.

And combined with on-going prayers to God, one can create an environment conducive to the Holy Spirit’s presence.

.

Now what could be better than that!?

DRIVING AWAY THE SPIRIT of FEAR

Listen…“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 1st Timothy 1:7

Here we see that the presence of God’s Spirit, can and will, drive away those fearful spirits, and replace them with the Spirit, “of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”!

.

And listen to this next promise from Isaiah 26:3…“Thou (God) wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.

.

Here above, God promises us perfect peace!

.

No mental illness!

.

Just perfect peace!

PERFECT PEACE

So, the bottom line to all that has been said is just this: Jesus is offering us perfect peace and tranquility in a world filled with turmoil and unhappiness and discontent.

And God is willing to take away the evil spirits which torment so many unsuspecting people around the world.

.

And what could be better than to have perfect peace and total tranquility?

.

**Oh yes, one will have to work hard to achieve this kind of peace (even though it is a gift of grace).**

.

Listen to Paul’s encouragement… “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” Hebrews 4:11

.

Yes, as Paul reveals here, God causes us to labor for that perfect peace and contentment! But it will be well worth the effort!

First, let it be stated, that this Dragon Constellation is not the same constellation commonly referred to as “Draco” (photo to right is Draco).

This Revelation 12 Dragon from Signs Of Heaven, has not been previously recognized. But you will discover that it is a very intricate and complex constellation, once you are comfortable locating it (picture below, right).

The Revelation 12 Dragon Constellation can be located by finding Orion in winter months. The Dragon is to Orion’s left, and the Dragon’s mouth is right next to Orion’s shield. This Dragon’s mouth is the V-like constellation The Hyades Cluster, which is also known as the head of Taurus the Bull. The Dragon’s tail-tip is Pleiades and the lower shaft of his tail is partly of Aries and Pisces.

Then with aid of a dark and starry night, you may begin to connect the mouth and the tail with a very long body in an oval shape. The front and back legs are made of a few stars: the front legs partially of stars from Taurus . The back legs and rear fin are made of 6 stars from the Cetus Constellation.

BODY HARD TO SEE

The long oval-shaped body has relatively few stars, but can been seen, howbeit with a dark, starry night. The four stars of the front fins are made partially of Taurus .

Now this may be a very good idea. Three-minute sermons.

But is it enough for a Christian to survive on?

THE ONE-DAY “SABBATH”?

.

Back in earlier times, The vast consensus in Christendom was that one day each week was to be the Sabbath-Day. And on that day, Christians were to engage in spiritual activities.

.

But slowly on, the Sabbath day began to lose its sacredness.

.

And as those years passed, the Sabbath was mostly regarded as, “The Lord’s Day”. And so, the idea, that Christians were to keep that day holy, began to fade from the minds of the people. And the churches no longer warned parishioners that the Sabbath must be kept holy.

BECAME A SECULARIZED DAY

.

And eventually, instead of spending the day in Bible study and contemplation, Christians began to spend their after-church hours watching football, enjoying social get-togethers, and engaging in other types of recreation, or just doing everyday household chores.

And with the advent of television, radio, and now Internet, even the weekday hours are also pretty much filled up.

THE GOD OF THIS WORLD KEEPS US BUSY

.

Well of course, it’s no accident that this society is busy, busy, busy! After all, the Bible warns…“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them, that dwell on the face of the whole earth.” Luke 21:34, 35

.

And so, in the very day that Christians should be the most watchful, the Devil has been busy himself, dreaming up new ways to keep them so preoccupied with worldly matters, that every day of the week has become dedicated to the world! Yes, seven out of seven days are now filled up with seeking the cares and pleasures, eating and drinking, buying and selling, to the point that Christians must resort to 3-minute sermons!

THE SPIRITUALLY STARVED

.

Now those who do attempt to merely feed themselves with such a meager spiritual diet, are like trying to survive on a diet of saltine crackers! In other words, it won’t be long until that church-goer starves!

SABBATH BLESSING

.

Now, there can be a great blessing for those who decide to keep the Sabbath holy, reserving it for Bible study, and prayer.

.

And for those who have children and must work and take care of many duties, to reserve that one day for nothing but spiritual refreshment, might be a terrific blessing for both parents and for the children too! And as we strive to make their everyday life breezy and joyfilled, they will likewise come to love God’s everlasting “rest unto your souls”!

.

SABBATH NOT TO REPLACE DAILY WORSHIP

.

But just one word of caution! Don’t think that by keeping one day holy, this somehow relieves the Christian from engaging in Bible study, unceasing prayer, and Bible contemplation the other 6 days!

.

No, the Christian must finally come to the point of forsaking all to follow Jesus. Yes, all the worldly ambitions must go! And those hours of television, Internet, computer games, sports, clubs, time-consuming hobbies, and every other needless worldly endeavor must be prayerfully considered for the trash heap, so that the Christian can serve one God only. Yes, that’s right! When we put our Salvation on the proverbial back-burner, engaging in worldly cares and pleasures, are we not in essence, serving Baal, “the god of this world”?

.

Listen to the Word of the Lord…“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.” Deuteronomy 6:6-9

.

**This passage reveals the true “rest unto your souls”: a rest which remaineth unto the people of God…a 24/7/365 prayerful contemplation of God’s Word!**

PEACE THAT PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING

.

And don’t think that God will bless our one-day-per-week Sabbath, if we are serving our worldly gods the other six days! No, holiness, true holiness is not some “holy water faucet”, that we can turn off and turn on, at will!

But just the opposite, our waters of grace should flow freely each and every day of the week! 24/7/365!

.

That’s the only way to have the, “peace that surpasses all understanding“. That’s the only means of achieving, “perfect peace”! (see Philippians 4:7 & Isaiah 26:3)

THE HOLY GHOST RIDER CONSTELLATION

.

This newest Signs Of Heaven Constellation (Fall, 2013) is by far the faintest of constellations, but is a very incredible and awesome one in a number of ways (which this article will explain).

.

It is primarily comprised of the Camelopardalis Constellation (head and upper back), plus about 5 stars from the Cassiopeia Constellation (his leg), plus some random stars. It appears as an outline of a rider. Only the back of his head is detailed. And his back and the back of his legs are also detailed. Both sides of his arm are visible, and his hand is gripping the horses mane, and that is detailed by three stars (which are also part of the horse’s mane). The rider is in a position vaguely similar to a race-horse jockey. The two brightest stars in this constellation, are from the Cassiopeia Constellation, and are part of his leg. All the rest of the stars are very faint, and must be viewed on a very starry night.

.

Since this constellation has just been revealed, there may be more to this constellation in the coming months. But if you can locate the Goodly Horse in Battle Constellation, then you shouldn’t have too much trouble locating this Rider Constellation, provided you have excellent star-watching conditions.

THIS STAR-CHART: This is a Wikipedia star-chart, in which this site’s editor has sketched in these three constellation (without the Holy-Ghost-Rider Constellation). Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon. Also notice his eye is a star.It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation. It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west. The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation. The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.

The Devil Made Me Do It!

.

Part 4:

“The God of This World Made Us Do It!”

“But if our gospel be hid,

.

it is hid to them that are lost:

.

In whom the god of this world

.

hath blinded the minds

.

of them which believe not,

.

lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,

who is the image of God,

should shine unto them.”

2nd Corinthians 4:3, 4

.

As this above verse reveals, Satan was long ago given the title: “The god of this World”. 2nd Corinthians 4:4

.

This great position came about when he deceived our first parents in the Garden of Eden.

A VERY HARD WORKER!

.

Now as we read the Bible, it becomes evident that Satan is very untiring, ambitious, hard-working, as well as wholeheartedly dedicated to his great purpose of attempting to overthrow Heaven as well as Heaven’s Jesus!

And now that he has been permanently cast out of Heaven, he especially goes after God’s people, deceiving them and accusing them before God.

DECEIVES THE WHOLE WORLD

.

But Satan deceives the whole world! And he has designed this world to be his kingdom of lies and deceptions…

“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent,

called the Devil, and Satan,

which deceiveth the whole world:

he was cast out into the earth,

and his angels were cast out with him.”

Revelation 12:9

.

And so, here we see that Satan deceives the whole world.

ON-THE-JOB 24/7/365

.

Now, since Lucifer and his fellow evil angels are unseen spirit-beings, they do not need sleep as do humans. And so, these zealous Antichrist warrior-spirits work around the clock to carry on their warfare against the whole world…“for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:10

.

**So, this above verse reveals Satan’s 24-hour-per-day attack on God’s people!**

SATAN HAS ERASED HIMSELF

And yet this cunning warrior is so crafty, he has seemingly erased himself out of existence!

.

Oh no, he’s still around! But he has turned this world into an atheistic, unbelieving world, filled with false ideologies and counterfeit belief-systems.

.

And thus, Satan still works with relentless fervor and yet operates from behind the scenes under the cloak of darkness and secrecy.

“NOT IGNORANT OF HIS DEVICES”

Now the Bible tells us…“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2nd Corinthians 2:11

.

Therefore, O Man of God, both you and I, we are not to be ignorant of Satan’s devices!

.

MAN GETS TOO MUCH CREDIT!

.

So then, knowing all these things, just why are we Christians giving Man so much credit for Man’s so-called accomplishments?

.

After all, here is Satan sitting on his kingly throne of this fallen world, having an I.Q. far exceeding the greatest mind of any human!

SOME QUESTIONS TO ASK OUR SELF…

.

And having said all that, this devotional would like to ask the next series of questions…

.

For instance, if Satan’s I.Q. is astronomical, then did mere men really invent the atomic bomb, or did Satan?

.

Yes, did humans invent the A-bomb: humans with only an I.Q. of maybe 150, more-or-less? Or was it rather, the, “god of this world”, who has an I.Q. of perhaps as high as 1,000,000+? After all, Lucifer actually believed he could replace God!

.

And likewise, is this present-day Middle Eastern religious coup of the western societies really a man-contrived religious movement? Or is Lucifer, who has an unbelievable I.Q., really the mastermind?

.

**And is this present-day homosexual uprising the mere product of human desire? Or is, “the god of this world”, who has incredible power over unsaved humans, really behind all this?**

.

Who really invents and manufactures new inventions? Do humans with an I.Q. of maybe between 100-200 think up all this stuff? Or is the “god of this world” inventing all these things, who has an I.Q. of perhaps 1,000,000+?

.

**And who really writes the songs? Do humans with an I.Q. of maybe 150? Or is it the “god of this world” who once was the master-musician of Heaven?**

.

And who really causes the great paradigm shifts around the world? Is it mere men who can just barely manage our own little lives, or is it, “the god of this world”, and all his hellish host of unseen evil angels?

WHO REALLY RULES HERE?

.

**Alas, these are just a few questions that we must ask ourselves, knowing that “the god of this world” is hard at work, day and night, deceiving the world.**

.

There are countless radio and television talk shows that all give full credit to mere erring humans for all the various inventions, fashions, ideologies, political events, and etc….

.

SATAN IS A VERY HARD-WORKER

.

**But what we do not realize or perhaps, ignore altogether, is that this world is under the rule of the invisible, “god of this world”, Lucifer.**

.

And in his jealous rage, he leaves nothing to chance!

.

But along with his innumerable host of evil angels, his invisible Antichrist spirit is, “that spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience” Ephesians 2:2, 3, to accomplish his purpose, in which he, “deceives the whole world!” Revelation 12:9

.

Now, just using a little common sense, it doesn’t take a whole lot of intelligence to arrive at the obvious answer to these above questions.

.

GOD’S IN ULTIMATE CONTROL

.

Fortunately, Satan has to answer to Jehovah God for everything he does!

.

Consequently, God doesn’t allow Satan to do just anything, unless it will be for the ultimate good of God’s people.

.

And thankfully, we can rest confident that things haven’t got out of control…“And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and He (God) does according to His will in the army of Heaven, and among the inhabitants of the Earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, ‘What doest Thou?'” Daniel 4:35

.

This and other similar passages give us comfort, knowing that ultimately, God is still in control!

LOCATION OF THE REVELATION 12 DRAGON…

The Revelation 12 Dragon Constellation can be located by finding Orion in winter months. The Dragon is to Orion’s left, and the Dragon’s mouth is right next to Orion’s shield. This Dragon’s mouth is the V-like constellation The Hyades Cluster, which is also known as the head of Taurus the Bull. The Dragon’s tail-tip is Pleiades and the lower shaft of his tail is partly of Aries and Pisces. Then with aid of a dark and starry night, you may begin to connect the mouth and the tail with a very long body in an oval shape. The front and back legs are made of a few stars: the front legs partially of stars from Taurus . The back legs and rear fin are made of 6 stars from the Cetus Constellation.

Habakkuk Says ‘Run!’

.

Part 6:

“Delay, Delay, Delay”

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:

though it tarry, wait for it;

because it will surely come,

it will not tarry.”

Habakkuk 2:3

.

The Book of Habakkuk has no doubt been the source of much intrigue and great speculation!

.

After all, it is a prophecy which concerns the last days. And it speaks of a time in the future in a mysterious manner….

“And the LORD answered me, and said,

Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables,

that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:

though it tarry, wait for it;

because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Habakkuk 2:2, 3

And as this above passage says, there will be a vision which speaks at the end. And when this vision finally speaks, then whosoever reads and understands that vision, may, “RUN!”

A TARRYING TIME

.

When May 21, 2011 came and went, those who had been trumpeting the message concerning Planet Earth’s Last Day, became the objects of world-wide scorn and mockery. And the Bible Teacher at the center of this end-time message was the primary target of all that mockery!

.

But what those messengers did not take into account was that, “delay” of an important event is an integral part of Scripture.

.

“THOUGH IT TARRY, WAIT FOR IT!”

.

For instance, listen to the prophecy of Habakkuk…

“And the LORD answered me,

and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables,

that he may run that readeth it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:

though it tarry, wait for it;

because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Habakkuk 2:3

Yes, Habakkuk’s vision concerning the end-time exodus out of the smothering of God’s people by Chaldeans (unbelievers), was a message which was accompanied by a time of tarrying. God’s people were to “RUN!” when the vision spoke at the end, but that vision would tarry. And we were to wait for it!

BIBLE FILLED WITH TIMES OF TESTING!

Now if Habakkuk’s prophesied tarrying-time was the only tarrying time spoken of in the Bible then it would be nothing of any significance.

.

But the fact is, the Bible is literally filled with tarrying times. And these times of tarrying were times of doubt, when the faith of God’s people was stretched to the limits!

.

FOR EXAMPLE…

For instance, when the faithful followers of Jesus saw their hopes dashed to pieces upon the Cross, was not their faith tested as their Lord laid in His tomb for three days and three nights?

Or how about when Jonah was swallowed by a great fish? Was not his faith tested for three days, as he prayed for God’s mercy and forgiveness inside the stinking belly of death of that great fish?

.

Or when Joseph was cast into prison for two years, was not his faith severely tested?

.

Or when Daniel was cast all that long night, into the den of hungry lions?

.

Or when Samson had his eyes put out and chained to a mill-stone, for all those months?

.

Or when Job had lost everything, and was covered with festering boils from head to toe?

.

Or when John the Baptist was cast into prison?

.

Or how about Moses’ 40 years of waiting for his ministry to begin? Or when Samuel was late to come and offer the sacrifice for God’s people? (see 1st Samuel 13:8) Or Esther’s time of fearfulness when coming before the king over the issue of the Jews being soon destroyed? Or David’s days of crying out to God for his dying son? Or the seven days of circling around Jericho by God’s people, as they patiently waited for God to destroy its walls?

HOW ABOUT THE LORD’S RETURN?

And just one last example! How about the nearly two-thousand years that we have been waiting for Christ’s long-ago-promised and long-awaited Return?

This too is a tarrying time, is it not?

“COUNT IT ALL JOY!”

And so, we must remember the words of James…

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

But let patience have her perfect work,

that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

James 1:2-4

.

Yes, God is wanting a people who will not crumble and fail during times of pressure and delay! He’s already had one rebellion! And He doesn’t need a second one!

.

And so, let’s count it all joy when we go through times of delay, knowing that God is thereby increasing, not only our faith, but also our patience, as we wait upon Him. Because, “though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:3

MORE THAN A MERE 24-HOUR DAY

And so, dear tried and tempted follower of Jesus, when we likewise encounter times of tarrying and are severely tested, will we give up? Or will we remain faithful during the days, weeks, months or even years that our prayers seem to go unanswered?

Yes, we thought that the Last Day was only to be a 24-hour Day. But now we realize that it is much more than just a 24-hour day when God’s judgment falls upon the world.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”

And so, now we will get to really understand our great God and Savior as we witness how He handles both the world, as well as Believers in these last moments of time.

**Is God going to merely cast fire down from Heaven and burn up the Lost into the proverbial, “crispy critters”, as when Elijah called down fire upon his adversaries?**

Or are we going to see something much greater: something with an eternal purpose?

REVELATION 12 WOMAN CONSTELLATION

This page is about the Big Dipper, also called the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major ). However, the ancient pagan cultures did not see this constellation as God intended it to be seen. It is actually a headless woman in childbirth. This is seen in springtime. It is seen in the northern skies.

“To Deceive Even The Elect!”

“For there shall arise false Christs,

and false prophets,

and shall show great signs and wonders;

insomuch that, if [it were] possible,

they shall deceive the very elect.”

Matthew 24:24

Our signature verse today from Matthew 24:24, stands as a fearful warning that Satan will come with some very close counterfeits in these last days.

and false prophets,

SATAN CONFUSES THE ISSUE

And Satan, knowing that the clarion call is now sounding, to come out of the apostate churches, has raised up false shepherds to confuse the issue…

FALSE SHEPHERDS IN MANY PULPITS

But of course, “the god of this world” has greatly confused the issue by raising up an army of, “ministers of righteousness”, to make it appear that God is still working marvelously in spiritual Babylon, that is, the fallen church-world of our day.

.

And even though many church-goers will freely acknowledge that there is a great apostasy going on, they will swear that their own little congregation is still faithful to the Bible…“Oh no, my church is right on! Our pastor teaches straight from the Bible! We don’t speak in tongues, or any other of that kind of nonsense!”

SO WHAT’S THE PROBLEM?

.

Now the great problem is that those who refuse to come out of Babylon will ultimately be, “partakers of her sins, and will receive of her plagues” Revelation 18:4

.

And what these deceived ones do not realize is that they are already partakers of her sins.

.

And just what are her sins? After all, if these teachers teach from the Bible, then just what is the problem?

.

90% TRUTH, 10% LIES

.

Well yes, these teachers teach from the Bible, but only to a certain extent! Yes, they may teach 70%, or 80%, or sometimes even 90% truth, but it’s the 10% or more of error that is the problem! And even if you hear a sermon which is totally true, the Holy Spirit has vacated the churches and the great counterfeit, “Angel of Light” has moved in, and is now in charge…

Listen…“And then shall that Wicked be revealed,

whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth,

and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan

with all power and signs and lying wonders,”

2nd Thessalonians 2:8, 9

.

Yes, here is revealed just how close the counterfeit is! “All power and signs and lying wonders!” In other words, this counterfeit contains all the elements of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ! And so, the churches are filled with parishioners who are convinced that everything is just wonderful in their own little congregation.

COUNTERFEIT SPIRIT

And so, they are under the influence of the “Prince of the Power of the Air, that spirit that now works in the children of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:2).

Thus, they are told by their false shepherds that, “All is well! You are signed-and-sealed-saints!

God is smiling down on our congregation!

And you don’t have to pay any attention to those trouble-makers who say that we are Babylon!

And what’s more, you won’t even be around when all the trouble arrives!

Because we’ll all be raptured out of here before the really bad stuff happens!”

And so, this is the great problem which faces the church-world today.

But the Good News is this! God will call His true sheep out of Babylon, because they will ultimately hear and recognize the Good Shepherd’s Voice in this message!

CITY OF CONFUSION

Babylon was given its name during the building of that infamous Tower of Babylon, because God confused their speech…

Listen… “Therefore is the name of it called Babel;

because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth:

and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad

upon the face of all the earth.”

Genesis 11:9

**And so, the name, Babylon, actually means, “City of Confusion”.**

“COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE”

The Bible pronounces a curse upon all those who refuse to, “Come out of Her (Babylon) My people!”

IS THE CHURCH BABYLON?

There are many honest-hearted truth-seekers who are genuinely wondering whether or not the churches today are the Mystery Babylon spoken of in the prophets and in Revelation 17 & 18. “Just what are the evidences that the churches are apostate?”

CALLING OUT OF BABYLON

God has chosen us out of the world to become, “ambassadors for Christ.” 2nd Corinthians 5:20

We are to be fit representatives for Heaven to a lost and dying world.

.

And we have been commissioned by God, to call others to come out of this sorrowful world, and take their stand on the Lord’s side.

SATAN CALLS US BACK TO BABYLON

**And yet, “the god of this world”, cannot tolerate losing even one of his former citizens!**

And so he sets about to bring us back into his “fold”, by any means possible!

POLITICS TODAY

And one very powerful way that the Enemy of Souls brings Christians back is through the current daily intrigue with politics.

Yes, Satan has turned the world of politics into a very intriguing and captivating area of interest, using the various mass media to catch our attention and divert us away from the work at hand, which God has given us to accomplish.

“ENTANGLED…WITH…THIS LIFE”

.

But the Bible warns us…

“No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life;

that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

2nd Timothy 2:4

.

Paul here is presenting this truth in the form of a parable, exhorting Christians to, “remember the battle, do no more”. Job 41:8.

.

We must remember that the spiritual battle which rages all around us, and not become mesmerized by this, “enchanted-ground world”!

THE WORLD: SATAN’S KINGDOM!

We must keep in mind where we are! This world is part of Hell! The Devil rules here! This is his kingdom! God has temporarily given Lucifer rule over this world.

RETURNING TO THE CITY OF DESTRUCTION

And so, the vast majority of churchgoers, after having been called out of the world, eventually return back into the world, pursuing the comforts and pleasures and aspirations and cares of this life.

Oh yes, like the rest of the world, Christians must work and support themselves, and their family too, if they have one.

.

But Satan’s goal is to ensnare the hearts of Christians with various aspects of the world, getting us to place our heavenly sojourn aside, while we begin to pursue the pleasures, and the cares, and the ambitious careers of this world, instead of being fully engaged in the purification of our hearts and the transformation of our lives into the image of Christ.

MANY “NICE” THINGS HERE

Now, there are many seeming nice and very interesting pursuits in this deceptive world: hobbies, clubs, sciences, ministries, careers, sports, politics, television, radio, Internet, music-listening and performing, social-church-school-family events, plays, operas, movies, travel, pleasure-crafts, houses, gardens, lands, and a host of similar-type pursuits.

And Satan has designed this world to become a snare to the souls of all who fall back into the world, via one or more of these earthly attractions.

.

“A DREAM COMETH!”

Listen to the Wise Man… “For a dream cometh through the multitude of busy-ness;” Ecclesiastes 5:3

Yes, when we get so involved in worldly pursuits, a spirit of forgetfulness envelops that unwatchful Christian, causing him (or her) to wander away from the upward pathway…

Their prayer-life becomes tepid. Their daily Bible study becomes short, mechanical, and uninspired.

AS A SNARE, THAT DAY HAS COME!

Christians must awake from our death-like slumber and once again put on our armor and watch unto prayer, and pray unto watchfulness! The hour of judgment is at hand!

FLEE TO MOUNT SION

And so, it is no wonder that God refers to today’s church-world as Mystery Babylon. It is filled with error, contradictions, and confusion.

And this error regarding how the Church has become world-loving and earthly-minded, is just one more sign of apostasy in the churches.

CITY OF CONFUSION

Babylon was given its name during the building of that infamous Tower of Babylon, because God confused their speech…

Listen… “Therefore is the name of it called Babel;

because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth:

IS THE CHURCH BABYLON?

There are many honest-hearted truth-seekers who are genuinely wondering whether or not the churches today are the Mystery Babylon spoken of in the prophets and in Revelation 17 & 18. “Just what are the evidences that the churches are apostate?”

THE 2nd “GREAT AWAKENING” NOT SO GREAT

**When the Christian world became immersed in the so-called “Second Great Awakening of the 1800’s”, many false doctrines emerged, and some are still embraced to this very day.**

.

One such false doctrine handed down to us, is proudly named, “Dispensationalism”. And decades after this “revival”, one Cyrus I. Scofield resurrected that false doctrine when he proudly and presumptuously published his own Bible, containing his own personal interpretations and his own personal study notes.

SCOFIELD’S MANY ERRORS

.

**Now, just why anyone would want to listen to a man who believed in an “Old Earth Creation/Evolution”, as Scofield did, is truly baffling!**

.

**And among his other false teachings, this idea of “Dispensationalism” was also put forth.**

.

And in his writings on dispensationalism, Scofield believed that God had different distinct time periods in Bible times (dispensations), in which alternative means of Salvation were in force. In other words, in the Old Testament dispensation, Scofield believed that Salvation could be obtained by keeping the Law.

DIMINISHING GOD’S WORD!

And Scofield also diminished the importance of the Old Testament as being somewhat irrelevant to New Testament Believers.

He even somewhat diminished the relevance of the Four Gospels, saying that they were mostly composed of events which transpired prior to the Crucifixion of Christ, therefore were also Old Testament.

SCOFIELD PARTIALLY CLEANED UP TODAY

Now today’s Dispensationalists have partially cleaned up many of Scofield’s grossest errors, giving his Scofield Study Bible a thorough make-over!

ALL SCRIPTURE PROFITABLE

And more than this, the Old Testament is filled with many historically true events which God orchestrated to present spiritual, allegorical truths.

FOR EXAMPLE, THE BOOK OF JEREMIAH…

And so, for an example, if the Bible student studies the Book of Jeremiah, it can be discovered to be a prophecy for these last moments in time, concerning the Church. And the same goes for all the other Old Testament prophets. They are spiritual books that prophesy of the very time we are now in!

And for another example, the various Old Testament laws and ordinances contained in the Books of Moses can also be spiritually discerned to actually be parables about Jesus and His Salvation…

“And beginning at Moses and all the prophets,

the things concerning Himself.”

Yes, the entire Old Testament is merely the Gospel of Jesus Christ, howbeit veiled in types, symbols, and shadows.

THE NATURAL MAN LOCKED OUT!

And so, Dispensationalists have unwittingly locked themselves out from much of the Bible, by their inability to see the spiritual nature of the Bible…

Listen…“Which things also we speak,

not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth,

but which the Holy Ghost teacheth;

comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:

for they are foolishness unto him:

neither can he know them,

because they are spiritually discerned.”

1st Corinthians 2:13, 14

And so, this above passage reveals that those who are carnal-minded cannot discern the spiritual truths which are hidden within the many stories in the Bible. Such “blind guides” (many of whom are on the radio and TV), even scoff at those who truly see the spiritual, allegorical nature of the Old Testament! But these hidden truths must be revealed by the indwelling Holy Spirit.

And one such false doctrine is the so-called “social gospel”, in which the great emphasis is to supply the physical needs of the world, by the various churches which embrace this idea.

BIBLE ENCOURAGES GOOD WORKS

Now to be sure, the Bible sometimes speaks of how Christians should give bread to the hungry, and clothe the naked, and visit those in prison, and let the oppressed go free.

And so, it is very easy to get the idea that this is the essence of the Gospel.

TELL-TALE SIGN OF APOSTASY

.

One tell-tale sign that those who proclaim such a gospel, have swerved off the true pathway, and on to a false pathway is that they are more interested in doing such good humanitarian works than they are in studying the Bible, and proclaiming the soul-saving Gospel of Christ.

.

In other words, you won’t find these churches constantly pouring through the Bible, verse-by-verse, to discover more and more about Christ’s character nor shedding ourselves from our worldly-minded ways.

.

No, they are instead more interested in supplying the physical needs of others than they are in immersing themselves in the Word of Christ.

OUR TWO ROLE-MODELS

.

Second, as we look at the lives of our two role-models, Jesus and Paul, we never ever see them visiting the prisons, nor feeding the poor, nor handing out clothes. Oh yes, Jesus fed the multitudes twice. But these were the attendees of His great Bible convocation, and were not those who suffer hunger on a daily basis, to a great degree.

.

Nor did Paul ever do these things. And furthermore, he enjoins us to, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” 1st Corinthians 11:1. Oh no, Paul isn’t requiring us to become traveling evangelists.

.

But as we spend much time contemplating his life and ministry, we are to adopt his qualities and purposes into our own life.

SALVATION FAR MORE PRECIOUS!

.

“I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.” Job 23:12

.

Everyone who has truly received the gift of Salvation realizes how precious is that gift!

.

And those who have that gift would rather go hungry, naked, or imprisoned than to give up God’s precious Words of Life!

.

WERE JESUS AND PAUL DERELICT?

.

Now, were both Jesus and Paul derelict in their commission to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the prisoners, and set the oppressed free?

Absolutely not! Both Jesus and Paul spent their ministries, feeding those who were starving for the “Bread of Life”! John 6:32-35

.

And both Jesus and Paul spent their ministries satisfying the thirsty souls with the “Water of Life”! (John 4:14, Revelation 21:6, 22:1, 17)

.

And both Jesus and Paul spent their time clothing those who were spiritually naked: clothing those who without the “Garments of Salvation”! (See Isaiah 61:10 & Revelation 3:18)

.

And both Jesus and Paul spent their time on earth visiting those who were held captive in Satan’s Prison-house of Sin! (See Isaiah 61:1, 2nd Corinthians 4:4, John 8:31-36)

THE BIBLE IS A SPIRITUAL BOOK

What these well-meaning churches do not understand is that the Bible is a spiritual Book. And when it speaks of earthly objects, these must be understood spiritually…

.

Listen to Paul…“Which things also we speak,

GOOD WORKS ARE GREAT!

Now just because these things must be understood spiritually, does that mean that it’s wrong to help people out with literal food, clothing, and prison visitations, etc.?

Of course not!

.

By all means, if we see someone hungry and begging on the side of the road, stop and give some food!

.

Or if we feel “called” to visit a prison, and share the Gospel, that’s great!

.

And to send clothing to poor nations is a wonderful thing to do!

SPIRITUAL TAKES PRECEDENCE

.

But never should we neglect our great commission to feed our own self as well as others with the life-giving Bread of God’s Word!

.

And we must all drink freely of the soul-saving Water of Life!

And we must visit those who are yet in Satan’s Prison-house of Sin, by sharing the Gospel which will set them free!

.

And we must not neglect to clothe the spiritually naked with the Garments of Salvation!

OUR FIRST AND FOREMOST DUTY!

This is our first and foremost duty to God! And to meditate day and night upon the life-giving Word of Christ should never be set aside, and replaced by humanitarianism. And if I find that I can easily do humanitarian good works, but my love for the Words of Christ is lacking, then it just might be that I have fallen into a false, “Good Works Gospel”.

.

And if I attempt to substitute these spiritual duties for the “socialistic gospel”, then it is proof-positive that I have fallen into a false gospel in which there is no Salvation.

THE SEEKER (THE SADDUCEE)

LOCATING THIS 3RD FACE

.

The 3rd face of the Moon is a bit more difficult to locate, because it is mostly upside down. But this photo and this sketch are how this face would appear if it was turned right side up. (In the southern hemisphere, however, this is how the Moon would appear.)

.

The third face is the most difficult to see in the northern hemisphere, but once you do, it then becomes easy. This face is like a furry creature of the field. Maybe a rabbit. Maybe a squirrel. Perhaps a chipmunk. Probably a mouse. All “seekers”; all foragers or scavengers.

.

And while this picture shows this little “beast of the field” right side up, this 3rd face is always pretty much in an upside-down position.

.

The other two faces appear right-side-up, and are easier to locate. This photo and this sketch are both turned around to help you see this 3rd face easily. This enhanced sketch to the above right is merely to help you to see this face more easily. (As already stated, this 3rd face is right side up in the southern hemisphere.)

LOCATING 3rd FACE AT BEGINNING OF NIGHT

.

But this sketch here to the right is how this 3rd face actually appears when the Full Moon is in the east, at the beginning of night, in the northern hemisphere. But all you can readily see is the 1st face.

.

What you must do to see the 3rd face is to tilt your head to the right, 90 degrees.

.

Do you see it? (You may find it easier if you just turn your screen on its left side, if you are using a laptop. But please don’t do anything to put your computer in jeopardy!)

.

The easiest time of the month to actually see this face is when the Full Moon is in the east, just after dark. It then can be seen by tilting your head 90 degrees to the right. But as night progresses, the Moon rotates clockwise, until this face is completely upside down, as the Moon works its way to the west.

.

SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE

.

For those living in the Southern Hemisphere, while they have all three faces of the Moon, the 3rd face, the Seeker Face is the upright face when the Moon is Full. This somewhat changes the story for those southerners. But the basic concept is still the same: one face of the Night Watchman, another of the Predator-Pharisee, and the third of the Seeker-Sadducee. But this is how the full Moon appears to all those who are down under.

Upward, Into the Promised Land!

Part 3:

“Behold, I have set the land before you:

go in and possess the land

which the LORD sware unto your fathers,

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,

to give unto them

and to their seed after them.”

This above passage from Deuteronomy would almost convince us that it is only speaking to the Old Testament children of Abraham.

Listen again…

“Behold, I have set the land before you:

God is only speaking here of the children of Abraham going in to possess the Promised Land.

NEW TESTAMENT BELIEVERS: ABRAHAM’S SEED

However, the Bible is a spiritual book and transcends mere human history and literal events…

Listen to Paul’s declaration about the New Testament Believers…

“And if ye be Christ’s,

then are ye Abraham’s seed,

and heirs according to the promise.”

Galatians 3:29

.

There are many verses like this above verse from Galatians, which tie together the Old Testament with the New Testament. Yes, the Old Testament was merely the Gospel of Jesus, howbeit veiled in types and symbols and allegorical accounts, such as these two concerning the Promised Land and this above verse from Galatians 3:29, concerning Christians being the true spiritual seed of Abraham.

PROMISED LAND IN HEAVEN

And so, when the Bible speaks of the Promised Land, do we find a New Testament passage concerning the Promised Land?

.

Oh yes!

.

Listen again… “By faith Abraham,

when he was called to go out into a place

which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed;

and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

By faith he sojourned in the land of promise,

as in a strange country,

dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob,

the heirs with him of the same promise:

For he looked for a city which hath foundations,

whose builder and maker is God…

a better country, that is, an heavenly!”

Hebrews 11:8-10, 16

Yes, as it explains here, the earthly Land of Promise was merely an allegory of the true, “better country, that is, an Heavenly!”

And so, now we begin to understand that all those Old Testament stories about God’s people taking the Promised Land were actually an allegory of today’s Church taking the true Promised Land, the Kingdom of Heaven!

PROMISED LAND IN MY HEART

But this great allegorical story which spans much of the Old Testament, can even be brought home further, into the life of the individual Believer…

.

Listen to the very words of Jesus…

“The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there!

for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Luke 17:20, 21

.

So now it begins to become clear that the Promised Land exists within the hearts of each and every true worshiper of God!

OUR WARFARE, TO CONQUER OUR OWN HEART

And now, as we read about God’s people taking the Promised Land in those Old Testament accounts, it becomes apparent that this true historical event was orchestrated by God to become an allegorical picture of the battle within the heart of each and every New Testament Believer!

.

Yes, all those Canaanites, Perizzites, Amorites, Hivites, Hittites, Jebusites, as well as King Og and King Sihon, though true literal enemies of God’s people, were actually raised up by God to be a picture of the enemies within our hearts that we must likewise overcome.

But the enemies within our hearts are the sins and evil influences which must be rooted out of our heart, soul, and mind!

Listen to Paul, as he presents this same great battle…

“For though we walk in the flesh,

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,

but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations,

and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,

and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience,

when your obedience is fulfilled.”

2nd Corinthians 10:3-6

LET’S GO IN & TAKE THE LAND!

And so, O Soldier of the Cross, let us each put on the Armor of God, that we might stand strong against the evil influences which would bring us into cruel captivity and hard bondage. And let us go in and conquer the land that is before us.

Yes, the Kingdom of Heaven is within our hearts. But that land is filled with the enemies of God: pride, selfishness, lust, greed, impatience, cold-heartedness, totalitarianism, gluttony, rebellion, witchcraft, variance, emulations, strife, sedition, heresies, and such-like other sins.

FILLING OUR HEART WITH GOOD THINGS

And then, let’s fill our heart with the good things of Heaven: Bible study, unceasing prayer and thanksgiving, and praise, combined with meditation (contemplation) of God’s Word.

And let’s turn off the various medias which would only indoctrinate us into this world-system, and instead, replace them with sacred songs of deliverance.

OVERCOMING THE WORLD

But we have a wonderful promise…

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:

if any man hear My voice, and open the door,

I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me in My throne,

even as I also overcame,

and am set down with My Father in His throne.”

Revelation 3:20, 21

Yes, those who overcome the world, the flesh, and the Devil, will rule and reign with Christ in His heavenly throne!

Daily Devotional, Year 2 – NOVEMBER 2

.

Noble Bereans,

.

Part 5:

“Re-thinking Harold Camping Regarding Jeremiah”

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

1st Thessalonians 5:21

.

So, in this little series, the subject of those noble Bereans has been introduced.

.

And today, it is still worthy of a little more exploration, regarding another area of concern.

.

Let’s look at the key Bible passage… “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming there, went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:10, 11

.

AN OPEN-MINDED SPIRIT IN BEREA

.

OK, so these in Berea were more noble, because they:

.

1. “Received the Word with all readiness of mind.”

.

2. And “searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

.

And so, these Bereans were ready to receive new teachings, which no doubt, conflicted with the supposed “orthodox” teachings of that day. So there was an open-mindedness which permeated their minds.

SEARCHING WITH AN OPEN MIND

.

And secondly, they searched the Scriptures daily, to see whether those things were so. In other words, these were not just mind-controlled followers of the popular teachers of that day.

.

No, but rather, they were noble enough to entertain this ill-reputed and much despised renegade, Paul, who was bringing a very new and different angle on the Scriptures.

.

A FAILED PREDICTION?

.

A few years ago, a certain radio Bible teacher made the seemingly failed prediction that May 21st, 2011 would be the last day of earth’s existence, because of the long-afore-promised return of Christ in the clouds of glory.

.

And of course, when that day came and went, the world began casting verbal stones at Harold Camping.

WORLD ONLY KNOWS CAMPING BY HIS ERROR

.

It’s too bad that the world was introduced to Harold Camping only on the back of his seemingly erroneous teaching that the Last Day was merely a 24 hour event.

.

It’s too bad that the world could not have heard the many wonderful Bible studies which Camping conducted over a 50 year span.

SO WHERE’S THE NOBLE BEREANS

.

So where’s all the Noble Bereans out there? Where are all the truth-seekers who don’t merely follow the crowd, but are willing to re-examine these teachings with an open mind?

.

After all, Camping didn’t base his end-of-the-world teachings on a dream, or a vision, or a voice. No, but instead, he spent 5 or 6 hours a day for years, actually well over 50 years, searching the Bible for his ideas.

.

Yes, for over five decades, Camping studied the Bible to uncover the deeper, hidden truths of God’s Word. And so, he wasn’t coming as a prophet who received a dream or vision or voice. But he was merely declaring what he believed the Bible teaches. Therefore, Harold Camping doesn’t fall into the category of a false prophet; just a Bible teacher who had things almost figured out, but not completely.

“THEY WHICH LEAD THEE CAUSE THEE TO ERR”

.

O My people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” Isaiah 3:12

.

So the challenge goes out to any professing Christian to prove that he (or she) is truly a Noble Berean, and stop letting others dictate to him what he must believe and must not believe. Yes, just because the world cannot understand that there has been a tarrying time in the Bible’s end-of-the-world prophecy concerning the “Last Day”, that doesn’t necessitate that we too must remain in ignorance of these things!

.

All a truth-seeker has to do is to begin the painless process of listening to a 25 minute Bible study each morning, and test and see for one’s own self!

.

And at the bottom of each day’s devotional is another 20-25 minute audio Bible study.

.

HUMAN TEACHERS MAKE ERRORS

.

Oh no, Harold Camping was not infallible. Of course, there are errors in his 50 year teaching ministry.

.

But Harold Camping freely acknowledged that he too had “feet of clay”.

.

And so, he constantly reminded his listeners to not trust him, but to search the Bible, the only infallible source of truth in this sinful world.

.

And so, let us study our Bible with an open mind, not allowing others to rule over our conscience, but studying for our own self, to discover more and more about our great God and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

BIBLE VERSES PICTURED IN THE HEAVENS

THIS STAR-CHART: This is a Wikipedia star-chart, in which this site’s editor has sketched in these three constellation (without the Holy-Ghost-Rider Constellation). Notice how the right front hoof is trampling on the tail of the Dragon. Also notice his eye is a star.It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation. It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Goodly Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west. The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation. The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.

THIS HOLY-GHOST-RIDER

Now one thing that is noticeable and makes this constellation even more dramatic, is the fact that the Milky Way runs right through it. And the question that must be asked is, “What biblical implications does this constellation/Milky Way connection have?” Well, very simply put, if stars represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.

.

WHY IS THIS CONSTELLATION SO INCOMPLETE IN APPEARANCE

.

So why is this constellation merely an outline? Well it does show his back, rear end and leg…and arm. But unlike, say, Orion, this constellation is very vague, even mysterious in appearance. Almost vacant in appearance. Yes this horseman represents Christ.

.

But even more than this, it represents the Holy Spirit of Christ. And as we all know, the Holy Spirit is very, very, un-intrusive, almost impossible to detect His presence. Hence, this constellation is perhaps the most faint of all the constellations of Signs Of Heaven!

The Psalms’ Power Over Evil Spirits

“And it came to pass,

when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul,

that David took an harp,

and played with his hand:

so Saul was refreshed, and was well,

and the evil spirit departed from him.”

.

.

And those living in the big cities must live and work and play amidst all the din and clamor which pervades the smokey urban air.

.

Yes, we live in a world of troubles and sorrows.

.

And for those of us who have been let in on the big secret of the Gospel, we understand that Satan and his vast armies of unseen spirit beings are working invisibly behind the scenes, carrying on their 24/7/365 warfare against the human race, and against God’s people!

.

.

.

.

MENTAL ILLNESS or EVIL SPIRITS?

.

.

Oh yes, this atheistic world would claim that Saul is merely suffering from a bi-polar condition.

.

In other words, Saul was merely going in and out of “mental depression” (they might claim). And his personality would swing from, “nice and congenial”, at one moment, to sudden bursts of, “violence and anger”, at another moment!

.

And so, King Saul had a classic case of bi-polar disorder…well…according to the world, that is.

.

.

SPIRITS, NOT MENTAL ILLNESS

.

But surprise, surprise! When David was first brought in to sing Psalms before King Saul, the evil spirit would leave Saul, delivering him from His so-called mental illness…

“And it came to pass,

when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul,

that David took an harp, and played with his hand:

so Saul was refreshed, and was well,

and the evil spirit departed from him.”

.

And so, this above verse reveals that it was an evil spirit, and NOT so-called, “bi-polar disorder” that overtook Saul at times!

.

Now listen to the Apostle, Paul, as he reveals that “perfect peace” is possible to the Christian…

“And the peace of God,

which passeth all understanding,

shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

.

SOME GOOD MEDICINE

.

Now as already stated, there are many people today who are suffering from depression and anxiety and fearfulness, etc….

Perhaps what these people need is some of that same prescription of medicine which David gave to Saul. Maybe, just maybe, a good dose of the Psalms is exactly what the Doctor ordered! Doctor Jesus, that is!

**Now listen to the Apostle, Paul, as he reveals that “perfect peace” is possible to the Christian…**

But later on, when evil spirits overtook Saul, David’s Psalms no longer drove out those evil angels.
