In this current Internet age, the airways are literally teeming with Internet scams, all trying to cheat unsuspecting people out of their hard-earned money.

.

And most of these con-artists are masters at inspiring confidence in their naïve victims, to the point that they willingly send money for some too-good-to-be-true merchandise.

.

LUCIFER, THE FIRST SCAMMER

.

But even though the Internet is relatively new, the con-game scams have been played for many long millenniums.

.

As a matter of fact, the very first con-game scam was played on our first parents, Adam and Eve, way back in the Garden Paradise, before nature and humans had become corrupted!

.

That’s right! Lucifer was the very first con-artist.

And he convinced Eve to take part in his evil and deceptive scheme.

.

Well, Satan has been playing his confidence games for a very long time.

And people keep buying into these deceitful schemes, year-after-year, century-after-century.

.

.

.

.

.

 

THE HERMENEUTIC SCAM

.

Now one would think that the Church is too biblically savvy to ever fall into one of those traps.

.

But the fact is, the Church has been falling for Satan’s delusions for almost 2,000 years now.

.

And Satan is still busily bringing his deceptive scams into the church-world!

.

Listen…“there shall be false teachers among you,

who privily shall bring in damnable heresies…

And many shall follow their pernicious ways;”

2nd Peter 2:1, 2

.

One such damnable heresy has been dubbed by theologians as, the “Hermeneutic of Literalism”, or the “The Historical, Grammatical Method of Interpretation”.

.

What this means, is that a Bible student must only come up with a literal interpretation of any Bible passage, unless context absolutely demands an allegorical interpretation.

.

HERMENEUTIC TOTALLY FABRICATED

.

But just search the Scriptures and try to find any support for this non-biblical rule of interpretation!   

.

Such scriptural justification does not exist!

.

This hermeneutic is found nowhere in Scripture.

.

It is a totally man-made, theologian-concocted hermeneutic! 

.

TWO SPIRITS

.

So, exactly what does the Bible have to say about such theological literalists?

.

Listen…  “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world,

but the spirit which is of God;

that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Which things also we speak,

not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth,

but which the Holy Ghost teacheth;

comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”

1st Corinthians 2:12, 13

Okay, so this above passage explains that there are two spirits in the world, the Holy Ghost, and the “spirit of the world”.

.

And if we are filled with the Holy Ghost, then we will compare spiritual things with spiritual, when interpreting God’s Word.

.

And no, we will not do so promiscuously, but will carefully compare scripture with scripture, so as to arrive at the proper spiritual interpretation.

.

ERRING CARNAL MEN

But Paul goes on to tell us what the spirit of the world will result in…

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:

for they are foolishness unto him: 

neither can he know them,

because they are spiritually discerned.”

1st Corinthians 2:14

.

So now, by this above verse, we see that spiritual interpretations are foolishness to those who are yet in their carnal condition.

RADIO BIBLE TEACHERS

.

Oh yes, they will accept a few spiritual interpretations when context demands it.

.

But many radio teachers deride those who interpret the Bible spiritually as far as possible.

They actually make up derogatory names, such as, “Replacement Theologians”, to belittle those who interpret Scripture spiritually.

.

And day after day, these well-scrubbed and very personable radio teachers gain the confidence of their audience by their charismatic personalities and by mingling much truth into their false teachings.

And with knowledge of these basic doctrines, these very convincing personalities continue to indoctrinate vast audiences with this anti-spiritual propaganda.

.

And as a result, at the mere mention of the unbiblical, derogatory name, “Replacement Theology”, their audiences often become hostile against anyone who dares to interpret the Bible spiritually.

BIBLE A SPIRITUAL BOOK

.

But what they do not understand is that the entire Bible is, “the spirit of prophecy”. (see Revelation 19:10)

.

And so, when reading such stories as Abraham and Sarah, and Hagar, these stories are prophetic, and require spiritual interpretations…

.

Listen… “But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh;

but he of the freewoman was by promise.

Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants;

the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia,

and answereth to Jerusalem which now is,

and is in bondage with her children.

But Jerusalem which is above is free,

which is the mother of us all.”

Galatians 4:23-26

.

So, Paul certainly had no problem interpreting Scripture metaphorically!

Here he takes a story that makes complete sense in the real world, and yet he still finds an allegorical meaning, making him, Paul, just another so-called, “Replacement Theologian”.

.

As a matter of fact, Paul upbraided the Galatians for not seeing the allegorical nature of that true historical account of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Hagar, and Ishmael…“Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?” Galatians 4:21

.

In other words, Paul was disappointed that these Galatians could only discern that account literally, not truly hearing the deeper Gospel truth veiled within that story!

SCRIPTURE MUST NOT BE VIOLATED

.

Now a Bible student cannot just make “any ol’ spiritual interpretation” that he or she desires.

.

No, scripture must be prayerfully compared with all other similar scriptures, to discover what the Bible reveals to be the correct spiritual interpretation.

This can often be a painstaking process.

.

And yet, this is the false accusation used by many apostate theologians against spiritually-minded Bible students and teachers.

.

In other words, they often will accuse them of just dreaming up their own totally fabricated spiritual interpretation, saying, “They are just picking-n-choosing their spiritual interpretations out of thin air!” 

.

MUCH OF THE BIBLE CLOSED-OFF

.

Now those who have been seduced by this particular Hermeneutic of Literal Interpretation may not lose their Salvation over it, if they actually even have Salvation.

.

And yet, the mere fact that they have been deceived, just might be an indication that they have not yet become truly saved.

.

But one thing is for sure! By convincing the majority of Christians that they must follow this unbiblical hermeneutic, Satan has closed off a great portion of the Scriptures that God intended to be understood spiritually and allegorically.

MANY BIBLE STORIES ALLEGORICAL

.

Yes, many stories about Jesus are allegorical in nature.

Stories such as “The Woman Taken in Adultery”, which is actually a picture of an adulterous apostate church, finally receiving forgiveness.

.

And many other true, historical accounts, such as Samson, or Jonah, or Job, or Esther, or David, or any and every other historical accounts in Scripture, were orchestrated by God to be allegories concerning Jesus and His war against Satan!

.

These were all given by God to be prophetic in nature, as is written… “for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10  

.

“GOOD NEWS FROM A FAR COUNTRY!”

Proverbs 25:25

But there is some very Good News. Yes, there is time to repent of this great error.

.

The Bible reveals…

“But the Anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you,

and ye need not that any man teach you:

but as the same Anointing teacheth you of all things,

and is truth, and is no lie,

and even as it hath taught you,

ye shall abide in Him.”

1st John 2:27

.

As this verse reveals, we are not required to be under the control of any human Bible authority.

If we are indwelt with the anointing of the Holy Spirit we may study for our own selves, just what is truth.

.

But even if we do find a faithful Bible teacher, we should not merely accept everything he teaches, but diligently search the Bible daily for our own self, “to see if these things are so.” Acts 17:11

.

THE HOLY-GHOST-RIDER CONSTELLATION

.

“Gavest thou…wings and feathers unto the ostrich?….

What time she lifteth up herself on high,

she scorneth the horse and his rider.”

Job 39:17, 18

.

Here in the above condensed passage is revealed a tremendous Bible prophecy!

Here the ostrich (being a symbol of the Church-Apostate) is going to lift up herself and scorn the horse and his rider.

.

Well, if we look in the winter-night skies, we might possibly have our eyes opened to see a most incredible constellation group, known as the “Horse and His Rider” Constellation Group.

.

And so, this above passage speaks of the time of the end (which we are just now in).

And sadly to say, there will be many in the Church who will scorn this last message, just as the wisdom-deprived ostrich scorns the Horse and His Rider, who symbolize God’s Church in battle, being ridden by the Spirit of Christ!

Such a sad ending for the Church-Apostate, to scorn the Holy Spirit: the same Spirit that they so often exulted in praise, with their lips!

This constellation group is made up of a number of smaller constellations: the horse’s head, made from the Perseus Constellation.

The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation.

The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.

The Rider is made primarily from the Camelopardalis Constellation.

It is a truly tragic situation in the current-day church community!

.

In the very hour in which God’s people should be watching and praying and hiding ourselves in “the clefts of …the ragged rocks, for fear of the Lord…when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth”, we are instead going headlong after the vain pleasures and ambitious pursuits of this world of selfish desires. (see Isaiah 2:19)

And the Prince of the Power of the Air is not remiss in his efforts to mislead us and destroy the way of our paths, as he fills the airways with false prophets who tell us, “Don’t worry, you’re gonna miss out on the Great Tribulation!

Because the Pre-Trib Rapture will take us all away before that day of trouble begins!”

The problem is, God’s professed people have been blinded by the god of this world, and cannot see nor comprehend that the battle is now raging all around us, right this very minute!

Oh yes, it’s always been the day of the Lord. The invisible battle for the hearts and souls of humanity has always been raging!

But in the last decades, Satan has caused the church-going masses to drink the Mystery Babylon Harlot’s wine, saying, “to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.” Isaiah 56:12

.

Consequently, the Church has a veil over our faces which prevents us from discerning the deeper truths of God’s Word.

“Woe to them that are at ease in Zion…Ye that put far away the evil day”

Amos 6:1, 3

“Oh no, you cannot spiritualize the Bible!”, say the false teachers. “Our hermeneutic forbids a Christian from doing that!” (for more on this hermeneutic, read, “Deceiving Even The Elect with the Hermeneutic of Literalism”)

And so, the bulk of professed believers do not realize that the prophecies of Revelation are being fulfilled right before our very eyes. Only, we have been spiritually blinded and cannot see this battle!

“Oh, no no no!!!”, confidently say they, “Revelation is for the literal Jews at some future time! You’re not of the twelve tribes! And you won’t even be around when all that bad stuff begins!”

“And what I (Jesus) say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”

Mark 13:37 

.

Well, the very Good News is that none of us need to be wearing that veil! If only a Christian will fall to his or her spiritual knees and beg and plead for God to open our eyes that we may “behold wondrous things out of Thy Law”, God would take away the veil which prevents us from seeing the spiritual nature of Revelation. (Psalm 119:18)

.

And then, with eyes open and armor on, we can pierce through that veil and enter into the battle now raging all around us.

THE 1ST FACE IN THE MOON: “THE NIGHT WATCHMAN”

.

“Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me,

and horror has overwhelmed me…

for I have seen violence and strife in the city…

mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.

Wickedness is in the midst thereof:

deceit and guile depart not from her streets.”

Psalm 55:5-11

.

Doesn’t this above passage seem to have special meaning today, with so much wickedness going on in today’s world?

But this above verse by David is speaking of the sinfulness among God’s people!

This “Man in the Moon” is a fitting symbol of the watchfulness that we must have in order to resist the sin and deception that assails God’s Church…from without and from within…

“Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth;

keep the door of my lips.

Incline not my heart to any evil thing,

to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity:

and let me not eat of their dainties.”

Psalms 141:3, 4.

But this night watchman does not keep silent. No, he cries to the Lord over the atrocities he must witness each night…

“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem,

which shall never hold their peace day nor night:

ye that make mention of the LORD,

keep not silence.”

Isaiah 62:6.

.

So too, this 1st-face appears as if to, “sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof (of God’s City, Jerusalem).” Ezekiel 9:4

.

Highway To Hell,

‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name?

and in Thy name have cast out devils?

and in Thy name done many wonderful works?’

And then will I profess unto them,

‘I never knew you:

depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.'”

No doubt you’ve heard the expression, “The highway to Hell is paved with good intentions!”

.

Well, that’s not too far from the truth!

.

Oh no, it’s not a Bible verse.

.

But it does bring to mind some passages in the Bible, such as the parable of the “Two Sons” in which one son agreed to do his father’s bidding, but did not actually complete the task. The one son had good intentions, but didn’t follow through to perform his good intentions. (see Matthew 21:28-31)

.

PAVED WITH GOOD WORKS

.

But today’s devotional would like to offer this next saying…“The highway to Hell is paved with good works!”

.

Yes, this saying is likewise, not a Bible verse, and yet seems to be a very true statement!

.

It is often said in Christian circles that, “Mankind would be happy to earn their way to Heaven, but refuse to receive it as a free gift.” And this again, is a statement which is not directly stated in the Bible, but has much biblical support…

.

THE RICH YOUNG MAN

.

For instance, the true account of the Rich Young Man who came running to Jesus, wanting to perform some further good work in attempt to earn Heaven.

.

But Jesus saw through his façade, and told him…

“One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast,

and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in Heaven:

and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.

And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved:

for he had great possessions.”

Mark 10:21, 22

.

Herein is a profound illustration of how so many church-going individuals are desiring to earn their way to Heaven by some good work.

.

But like that Rich Young Man who turned away from Jesus, so many today are not willing to forsake all, to follow Jesus! We have far too many earthly possessions!

.

“STUCK IN LIMBO”

.

And so, in the church-world today, there are multitudes who are, “stuck in limbo”, as the saying goes. Yes, the vast majority of those who attend church each week, have never come to true Salvation, and are merely stuck in a hopeless void.

.

Oh yes, they go through the motions of being a Christian. They do their daily good works. They attempt to live a decent, moral existence. They go to church, pray, hold offices, and serve on committees. And they perform charitable good deeds, and even engage in various acts of self-denial.

.

But they cannot find that, “peace that surpasses all understanding” 

(Philippians 4:7).

They cannot contemplate the wonderful life of Jesus!

.

NEVER RECEIVED A NEW HEART

.

The problem is, they have never received a new heart!

.

Like Nicodemus in this old painting, they have never truly become Born Again!

.

They have never become a New Creation in Christ, but are mere religious moralists!

DOWN TO HELL WITH GOOD WORKS

And so, Satan comes along and leads them down, down, down the Highway To Hell, causing them to continue their “good works”, which are as counterfeit as the proverbial “three-dollar bill”!

RADIO & TV MINISTRIES DECEIVE THE NAIVE

.

Quite often, Satan will get these unsuspecting and naïve ones to begin some humanitarian ministry. Maybe some evangelistic crusade, or some food baskets to the hungry.

.

But the problem is, that Satan uses radio and television ministries to convince churchgoers that evangelism is the most important duty!

.

And so, these naïve and deceived listeners come away thinking that their Salvation is based on how many people they can save!

.

MANY SURPRISED ON JUDGMENT DAY

.

But the fact is, the purification of one’s own heart, to the conformity of the life into His likeness is infinitely more important than trying to save others!

.

Listen…

“Many will say to Me in that day,

‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name?

and in Thy name have cast out devils?

and in Thy name done many wonderful works?’

And then will I profess unto them,

‘I never knew you:

depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.'”

Matthew 7:22, 23

.

Here above in this passage is revealed that there will be a vast throng on Judgment Day, who will be surprised to discover that they went through the motions of the Christian life, and yet never became truly saved! And even though they could take credit for many good and wonderful works, these were useless on that great Day of Judgment, simply because they were not combined with the New Heart experience!

IMPORTANCE OF EVANGELISM

.

The purification of our heart and conformity of our lives into His likeness by no means negates the importance of evangelism.

.

Evangelism is a great part of the Gospel!

.

But the truest evangelism occurs when our lives reflect the bright image of Christ.

.

We are to be an, “epistle, known and read by all mankind”. (2nd Corinthians 3:2)

.

“REST UNTO YOUR SOULS”

So just what is the answer to all this?

How can we somehow find that true, “rest unto your souls”, which Jesus spoke of…

“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest…unto your souls…”?

Matthew 11:28, 29

Well, of course, Salvation is the free gift of God’s grace. There is no human work that can be performed to achieve it.

And so, the seeker must come to the point of realizing that Salvation must be given, and not worked for or somehow earned.

SEEK IT WITH ALL OUR HEART

And yet, the Bible is replete with encouragement to seek after God with all our, “heart, soul, strength and mind”!

.

And even though we understand that Salvation is a free gift, we are to search for Salvation as if it is by our own strength, even though we understand that, “it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 

.

But the true good works that God inspires within us, is to begin to sit at Jesus’ feet and learn of Him, through the daily reading and contemplation of His Word, with all its precious promises.

“STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN”…

 OR JUST THE “HIGHWAY TO HELL” ?…

“Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:” Isaiah 5:18 

.

Look at the slope of this third mountain, and notice that it goes straight down to the Dragon Constellation.

.

This slope belongs to the constellation commonly called Pisces.

Doesn’t it almost look like the Dragon is towing this Mountain?

It almost looks like the Dragon is transporting this false mountain from the south…from Hell.

And he has pulled it northward…next to these other two mountains.

This would almost seem like a comical idea…if it weren’t for the destruction and death and woe caused by Satan for many-a-millennium.

Just listen to this verse… “Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:” Isaiah 5:18.

So God, it seems, has created this constellation group to present this fearful concept!

which I command you,

neither shall ye diminish ought from it,

that ye may keep the commandments

of the LORD your God

which I command you.”

The Bible clearly teaches that…

“Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you,

neither shall ye diminish ought from it,

that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God

which I command you.”

This command has always been a test for God’s people. And Satan has worked hard from the very beginning to compel God’s people to do just that!

.

Even way back in the Garden, Satan caused Eve to add to God’s Word, adding, “Neither shall ye touch it” to God’s command, to not eat of that forbidden fruit! And this addition contributed to the fall of Mankind! (see Genesis 3:3)

.

TOTALLY FABRICATED DOCTRINE

.

And in the Christian community, theologians have been guilty of adding doctrines which are not substantiated by “the Bible only”.

.

One such unsupported church doctrine which is totally a product of adding to God’s Word is the notion that Mary and Joseph had a so-called “blended family”.

.

In other words, there are many who greatly desire to make Mary into a perpetual virgin. But in order to do this, something had to be done to eliminate all of Jesus’ brothers and sisters.

.

And so, the idea was concocted that Joseph must have had other children from a previous wife, even though the Bible never once gives the slightest intimation that any such prior relationship existed!

Well, this little devotional does not have time or space to “beat around the bush”, as the saying goes.

.

So let’s go right to the heart of the matter.

NOT EVEN ONE VERSE!

.

There is absolutely nothing in Scripture which demands or even suggests that Joseph had a previous family, prior to Mary and Jesus. 

.

In other words, the integrity of the Bible is very much intact and preserved by Jesus having younger siblings, born of Mary.

.

There is no biblical necessity or rationale to insist on Mary and Joseph having two families.

.

And any attempt to invent such a situation is adding to God’s Word, which is strictly forbidden by God!

.

.

.

.

.

END OF DISCUSSION

.

And so, there is absolutely no need to proceed with this debate, because there is nothing in the Bible that would lead us to any conclusion of Mary and Joseph having two families.

“BROTHERS” AND “SISTERS”

.

But rather, to the contrary, there is overwhelming evidence that Mary continued to have more children after the birth of Jesus. 

.

One such evidence is the fact that the Bible calls His siblings, “brothers”, and “sisters”. But if these were not the fruit of Mary’s womb, then they would not be true brothers and sisters to Jesus, not being the fruit of Mary’s womb. And so, they would have been most likely referred to as, “Joseph’s sons and daughters”, or something similar. But they were not! They were specifically named as “brothers”, and, “sisters”.

They were merely referred to as, brothers and sisters…

“Is not this the carpenter’s son?

is not his mother called Mary?

and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

And his sisters, are they not all with us?”

NO MENTION PRIOR TO JESUS’ BIRTH

The next piece of evidence is that these brothers and sisters were never once mentioned prior to the birth of Jesus. Nothing!

It was only AFTER the birth of Jesus, that any mention was made of Jesus having brothers and sisters…

Listen again…“Is not this the carpenter’s son?

is not his mother called Mary?

and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

And his sisters, are they not all with us?”

NO OTHER CHILDREN IN STABLE

As a matter of fact, there is one little account in which Mary and Joseph and Jesus were specifically mentioned…

“And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,

keeping watch over their flock by night…

And the angel said unto them…

Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger…

And they came with haste,

and found Mary, and Joseph,

and the Babe lying in a manger. ”

Luke 2:8, 10, 12, 16

So where is the mention of the four brothers and all His sisters being there in the stable, along with Mary, Joseph and Jesus?

.

There is no mention made anywhere, prior to Jesus’ birth, of brothers and sisters!

MARY AND JOSEPH HAD INTIMATE RELATIONS

Now as to the notion that Mary was some sort of perpetual virgin, the following Scripture lays that idea in the dust…

“Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him,

and took unto him his wife:

And (Joseph) knew her not (sexual relations) till she had brought forth her firstborn son:

and he called His name JESUS.”

Matthew 1:24, 25 

.

So Joseph “KNEW HER NOT” (in the biblical sense of physical relations) “TILL” after she had brought forth her “FIRSTBORN Son”, Jesus.

.

So right here, the Bible completely refutes the totally non-biblical, man-contrived doctrine that Mary continued her virginity throughout all time and eternity!

JESUS CALLED “FIRSTBORN AMONG MANY BRETHREN”

.

Yes, from this above verse in Matthew 1:24, 25, it becomes apparent that Joseph and Mary did have intimate relations AFTER the birth of Jesus.

But also, it states right here that Jesus was Mary’s “firstborn”.

.

But it nowhere says He was her LASTBORN.

.

And let’s not forget that the Bible calls Jesus, “the firstborn among many brethren” Romans 8:29.

.

And though this is specifically speaking of spiritual brethren, it also seems to be speaking of His literal family as well, based on what the Bible says concerning these things.

WE NEED TO TREMBLE

.

“saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at My Word.” Isaiah 66:2

Listen, if only God’s people really trembled at the Word of God, like this above verse admonishes, there would be much less division and confusion in the body of Christ!

.

But throughout the past 2,000 years, churches and theologians have been responsible for many unscriptural additions and subtractions from God’s Word.

.

Thankfully, God has preserved his infallible Word, the Bible, so that we may correct our misunderstandings and false notions of the truth!

.

.

.

TILL WE ALL COME INTO UNITY OF THE FAITH

.

But God says, concerning His chosen and elect people, that the day is coming when these following words will be fulfilled…

“Till we all come in the unity of the faith,

and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man,

unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

That we henceforth be no more children,

tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, 

by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,

whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”

Ephesians 4:13, 14

.

Yes, it is high time that we be no more children, being carried about “by every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”.

.

And the sooner we get rid of this, and every other theologian-contrived non-scriptural doctrine, the sooner we can come together as one body, united in Christ as our head.

FLEEING WOMAN OF REVELATION 12…

“And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle,

that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place,

that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.”

So this Revelation 12 Woman Constellation gives a heavenly portrait of a woman fleeing from the Dragon, who is spewing water in her pathway.

FROM WHERE & TO WHERE DOES SHE FLEE?

This page is about the Big Dipper, also called the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major ).

However, the ancient pagan cultures did not see this constellation as God intended it to be seen.

It is actually a headless woman in childbirth.

This is seen in springtime. It is seen in the northern skies.

.

But as the seasons progress, this travailing woman flips upside down, now appearing as a woman with upraised arms like eagle wings who is running (eventually flying, as shown in sketch on right) into the wilderness (westward).

.

 

The single star representing her birth-child (Christ) now becomes her head (“Christ is the head of the church.” Ephesians 5:23

.

The 7 Stars (Big Dipper) is easy to see with its very bright 7 stars.

But the Revelation 12 Woman (Ursa Major) must be seen on a dark starry night, away from city lights.

Do you have a temper like a firecracker, always quick to fire off at someone?

Are you like a semi-dormant volcano, ready to burst forth molten lava, when someone doesn’t perform like you want them to? Does your temper often flash like lightning bolts at your children and spouse?

And after you calm down, do you feel remorseful, wishing you could have more control over such unchristlike behavior? And even though you repent of your out-of-control temper, the very next day you do it all over again?

.

Well, there is a solution to your problem. And there is great hope in Christ, for your intemperate bursts of anger!

PRIDE BEGETS ANGER

.

One thing that must be understood about anger, is that it finds its root in pride. Yes, anger seems to go hand-in-hand with a proud heart!

.

Listen… “Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.” Proverbs 21:24

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

.

Well, just how do we get rid of our uncontrollable anger?

.

The only true way to get rid of anger is to be filled with the Spirit….“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22, 23

.

As we can clearly see from this above passage from Galatians, the fruit of the Spirit are the very opposite of those attributes which produce “proud wrath”.

STOP THINKING I KNOW MORE THAN GOD

.

Now, an entire book could be written on this subject. But this devotional will only focus on one very important aspect concerning overcoming anger.

.

And to illustrate that one aspect, maybe it’s best to quote Proverbs 3:5, 7…“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding…Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”

.

If a person given to anger could just live by this one passage, then there might be a great victory over angry outbursts. Because, so much of anger is caused by the mindset that, “I know what is best! And if you don’t perform according to my expectations, then my wrath will be kindled against you!”

.

Yes, this mindset is perhaps the biggest contributing factor in those who are constantly losing their temper. 

.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

.

So, if a churchgoer can begin to study God’s Word with the intent of following Jesus, and no longer trusting in their own self-will, then that angry person might cease from thinking that he or she knows better than everyone else.

.

And the more that we know about God’s will, as revealed in Scripture, the less we will insist upon our own way (see 1st Corinthians 13, 4, 5, ESV Version)…

.

GOOD NEWS! TIME TO CHANGE!

.

Now the Good News is, that the true God of Heaven is willing to purify us from our love of pride and anger! Yes, and the Day which is just before us, has been designed for that very purpose…

.

Listen…“Enter into the Rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of His majesty. The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. For the Day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:” Isaiah 2:10-12

.

And so, this and other similar passages reveal just who it is that will be the recipients of God’s true righteous anger in the soon-coming Day of the Lord (which godly anger is vastly different than our corrupt, human anger)!

.

And those of us who are given to these pernicious qualities, will be humbled and brought low in that Day!

.

WORK WHILE IT IS DAY

.

And those who do finally find meekness and lowliness of heart will naturally react to disappointing and upsetting circumstances much differently than they once did, when they were yet proud in heart.

.

So, while there is still a little time left, let’s use our allotted hours wisely in trying to overcome our proud anger, before, “the night comes when no man can work.” John 9:4

.

Do you see an angry look? His right eye-brow is raised as if he is judging.

This second face in the Moon appears to be that of a combination of a man as well as a fox. Or maybe a wolf. Doesn’t he have a long narrow nose like a wolf or fox? Maybe even a dog. Nevertheless, the expression on his face, as he appears to look down upon the Earth, is that of scorn. You see, when Satan came to tempt her, she mis-quoted God’s Word by saying…

“And the woman said unto the serpent,

God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it,

NEITHER SHALL YE TOUCH IT, lest ye die.”

Here is seen that Eve mis-quoted God’s Word by adding an extra duty which God never mentioned… “neither shall ye touch it…”

God never said, “neither shall ye touch it”. Those extreme words were supplied by Eve. Yes, Eve added that additional restrictive duty, “neither shall ye touch it”, which God’s spoken Word never commanded!

KINGDOM OF THE CULTS

In today’s world, the Devil has raised up various false gospels which have likewise added duties that God’s Word has never commanded.

Back in the mid-twentieth century, a book came out defining these fiery fanatical groups, giving them the derogatory tag, “cult”.

Of course, the Bible never uses that term, “cult”. So perhaps the author of that Book was being a bit presumptuous by adding a name that God never named.

FIERY DESIRE TO BE DIFFERENT

Now those religious groups which are classified as “Christian cults” all seem to have some very unusual doctrinal beliefs. And combined with their fiery zeal to be distinctly different and separate from the other churches, these groups seem to stand apart from the other various Christian denominations.

And so, because of their peculiar doctrinal beliefs, these so-called Christian cults all seem to draw the ire-n-rankling of the so-called “mainstream” Christian denominations.

.

Yes, these cults seem to be a veritable “lightning rod” for criticism, scorn, and mockery, from those who consider themselves to be “The Orthodoxy”.

ERRORS OF THE “ORTHODOXY”

But because the so-called “orthodox” denominations have their own particular heresies, Satan has used this as an opportunity to give those cults some actual biblical truths which mainstream Christianity has long-ago rejected.

Yes, mainstream Christianity has embraced some very old church-doctrines which have no biblical foundation, thus making them just as apostate as the so-called “cults” which they look down upon and scorn!

.

Such false unbiblical doctrines, as “Eternal Torment”, “The Age of Accountability”, “Christmas”, “Easter”, “The Deity of Mary”, giving the God-Head the non-biblical title, “The Trinity”, the so-called “Pre-Tribulation Rapture”, “Free-Will Salvation”, the “Prosperity-Driven gospel”, “lying signs and wonders”, as well as other false doctrines, make the so-called “orthodox” denominations extremely toxic.

And combined with the insatiable desire for the earthy pleasures and possessions, and the proud, ambitious pursuits, all these abominations have caused mainstream Christianity to finally apostatize away from Christ, as Jesus says here: “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:16

TRUTHS MINGLED IN WITH ERRORS

And so, Satan has used these false doctrines to his own advantage by causing the cults to reject those false teachings now embraced by mainstream Christianity.

And so, the cults point out mainstream Christianity’s heresies to their prospective new members, thus giving these cults an added element of truth, and enough credibility to convince those naïve prospective new members to join that “cult”.

“ORTHODOXY” POINTS FINGER AT “CULTS”

Now on the other hand, the mainstream denominations defend these false doctrines by saying, “Look at those cults over there! They reject ‘Eternal Torment’, ‘The Pre-Tribulation Rapture’, ‘The Trinity’, etc.. So if you likewise reject our beloved pet doctrines, then you’ll be just like those awful cults!”

SATAN PLAYS ONE AGAINST THE OTHER!

And so, this master-deceiver, Satan, has ingeniously caused this doctrinal, “switcheroo”, between both these two major divisions in Christendom, creating a very confusing situation in both groups.

And beside the confusion, this switching around of doctrines gives impetus to both groups, as already just discussed in the above paragraphs.

Yes, the apostasy within the various denominations and organizations has reached the point of no-return. And God has made all necessary provisions for the spiritual needs and heavenly blessings for those who do escape from Babylon, fleeing to the spiritual mountainous strongholds of God…

REVELATION 12 WOMAN CONSTELLATION

WOMAN ROTATES THROUGH THE SEASONS…

This page is about the Big Dipper, also called the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major ). However, the ancient pagan cultures did not see this constellation as God intended it to be seen. It is actually a headless woman in childbirth.  This is seen in springtime. It is seen in the northern skies.

But as the seasons progress, this travailing woman flips upside down, now appearing as a woman with upraised arms like eagle wings who is running (eventually flying, as shown in sketch on right) into the wilderness (westward). Just about everybody has!

Society is always making mention of Black Holes, telling us that stellar Black Holes are the result of “dying stars”.

Yes, science has determined that when a star is dying out there in space, it creates a magnetic field that prevents light from shining in that great black hole.

FACT OR FICTION?

Yes, that all sounds pretty plausible.

But the big problem these days is, that the science industry doesn’t always know, or they seldom admit the difference between proven fact and mere conjecture.

It seems that they want so badly to believe certain unfounded ideas, that they are willing to present these ideas to the public, not disclosing that such “pet” beliefs are merely the product of human speculation, and not actually based on proven fact!

NOT ONE STAR FAILS!

Listen to God’s Word concerning the stars…“Lift up your eyes on high, and behold Who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: He calleth them all by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one faileth.” Isaiah 40:26

Here is seen that God calls each and every star by name…and, “not one of them faileth!” In other words, there are not really any dying stars out there! Well maybe all the science guys should consult the Bible before they come up with these wild notions! Then they wouldn’t have to back-peddle, once proven wrong, as they so often are!

MAYBE SCIENTISTS ARE CORRECT!

But on the other hand, it’s possible that these scientists may be onto something! Perhaps there’s an element of truth to what they are saying!

Yes, maybe there are actually Black Holes in the universe!

But maybe, just maybe, these scientists are looking for them in the wrong place!

You see, God compares His vast universe of stars to His people…“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” Daniel 12:3

So here it is revealed that God compares His faithful people to the stars of heaven!

That’s right! Both Old Testament and New Testament Believers are going to shine as the stars, for ever and ever! WOW! What a wonderful promise!

STARS CAST DOWN!

But God also has some very negative things to say about all this…“And it (the little horn spoken of in the Book of Daniel) waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.” Daniel 8:10

Here is revealed that God’s host, spoken of as stars, will be cast down to the ground, and be stamped upon!

And this is where the scientists may be correct about Black Holes!

This above passage reveals a great secret which the human race has never been able to figure out! That when we rebelled against Heaven, and left our first estate, it created a great vacuum in our heart! A great void was created by the absence of God in our heart!

FALLEN STARS

In essence, a star has fallen to the earth! Perhaps you might say, “That star has burnt itself out!”

And, you could possibly say that “a Black Hole has now formed!” No, not in outer space! But in the inner space of our heart, a huge Black Hole was formed!

And that Black Hole in the inner space of our heart is so powerful, that no light from Heaven can penetrate its dark black depths!

AN INNER NEED TO WORSHIP GOD

You see, man was created in the image of God!

And because we were created in God’s image, we have the same need of the Godhead’s presence in our heart, as did Jesus.

FILLING THAT VOID WITH…?

But because this awful void now exists, it seems that we humans constantly attempt to fill that void.

And what do we attempt to fill the Black Hole in our heart with?

Well, different things!

Some try to fill that hole with alcohol or drugs, food-gluttony and loud social halls.

.

Others try to fill that Black Hole with romance and lust!

.

Still others try to fill it with entertainment and sports and television and high-tech devices.

.

Others with careers, money and material things and wanderlust! 

.

And some will try to fill that void with earthly friendships and social events!

.

While still others may find some high-emotion, false gospel which makes them to believe they have Heaven, while still clinging to this, the Devil’s world!

.

Well, this is just a short-list of the things that we humans try to cover up our need of a Savior to inhabit our heart!

.

But the fact is, there are very many other ways in which mankind attempts to fill that Black Hole in their hearts!

BLACK HOLES FINALLY DISAPPEAR!

But those who do finally turn back to God and begin to seek Him with all their heart, will eventually find that their Black Hole goes away! And no more will they be so desperately seeking for something to fill that void in their formerly wanton and darkened heart.

No more must they seek to hang out with the crowds in noisy places! Because, now with Jesus in their heart, they are quite content to get alone with God! Yes, their communion with the Savior becomes so sweet and so satisfying, that the True Worshiper of God cannot wait to get alone with God! And the things of the world simply lose their luster and attraction!

Because, their heart is now filled with the bright beams of sonlight from God’s amazing love!

“AS I SOAR TO WORLDS UNKNOWN…”

Yes, whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved!

FLOWER OF THE FIELD CONSTELLATION

This is perhaps one of the most amazing constellations that God has created! It truly looks like a flower, and appears to be blowing in the direction of westward. But as autumn draws near, this constellation appears to bow itself down, just like the flowers of Earth bow down, at the summer’s end.

And these are not merely obscure stars. These are among the biggest and brightest stars in the night heavens!

The Two Turtle-Doves Constellation is also known as Sagittarius .

.

The Flower of the Field is commonly known as Scorpio .

.

But there is another obvious aspect to this constellation group. Notice that the birds are flying in the same direction as the flower is bending; it is as if the east wind is blowing these heavenly messengers…

“The wind blows where it desires, and you hear the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:8.

So here is another incredible Bible concept, written in the heavens! And God has spoken of these signs! Listen… “For ever, O LORD, Thy Word is settled in heaven.” Psalm 119:89

This occurs as it travels into the western skies. It somehow rotates in order to produce this effect. This is a very wonderful phenomenon…and biblical too! After all, the Bible says “the grass withers and the flower falls away”. And that’s exactly what this flower constellation seems to do. It almost seems to be bowing itself…in the direction of that bright and beautiful star, “Arcturus” (which represents Jesus). This would make sense. After all, Scripture states…

Have you ever heard the expression, “They are sitting around, nervously wringing their hands over this or that issue!”

Well, it simply means that these hand-wringers are worried and nervous about some issue, either in the world, or their own personal life!

And so, calling someone a, “hand-wringer” is a bit of a put-down and a somewhat derogatory name.

TOO INVOLVED WITH WORLDLY AFFAIRS!

What does the Bible have to say about our duties to vote and to get involved in the social and political affairs of this world? And how much is God involved in the details of life? GOD’S PERMISSIVE WILL

Oh no, His ultimate righteous will is definitely NOT being accomplished at this time.

But God’s permissive will IS indeed being accomplished, as it says…“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:” Ephesians 1:11

So by this above verse it is evident that God is in control of things here on earth. And He is orchestrating all events, both great and small, so as to accomplish His purpose for this world.

GOD ELECTS OUR LEADERS, NOT US!

Now Daniel 4:17 has more to say on this subject, “…that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.”

So here is seen that it is NOT, “we the people”, who choose which person will lead our societies. But it is ultimately God who chooses who is going to lead us. And as this above verse declares, God may even give us a wicked person, if He so chooses!

Or, He may choose a wicked man, like Saul, and convert him into the Apostle, Paul, a righteous man!

GOD ALWAYS WORKS BEHIND THE SCENES

The Bible is literally teeming with true historical accounts that should inspire confidence among Christians, that God is intimately involved in the affairs of life, both small and great! Story after story in the Bible have one thing in common: that God is always working behind the scenes to accomplish His will among the inhabitants of earth!

WE NEED NOT WORRY!

And so, we don’t need to worry that things may get out of control. And we need not fear that the wrong person may be elected.

No, it is NOT we humans who elect our leaders. But rather, it is God, our Creator and Supreme Authority who elects those whom He wishes to lead us. And He is fully in control of the goings on in this world!

THE ONE TRUE ACTION-COMMITTEE: THE GODHEAD & ME!

And such confidence in God’s ultimate sovereign ruler-ship over this world, should free us up from having to get involved in the affairs of this life…“No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” 2nd Timothy 2:4

.

As this verse reveals, God is wanting His faithful soldiers to keep from getting all caught up in politics, or in conspiracy theories, or community leadership, or action committees.

.

No, the only action committee that I must join, is between “me” and the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, praying for Heaven’s blessing upon my family and friends, and upon all the countless lost souls who are starving for the Bread of Life!

SANCTIFICATION A FULL-TIME OCCUPATION!

Yes, God has given us our commission to purify our hearts and minds, and to transform our lives into His likeness! In this way, our life will become a living epistle, known and read by all! And by constantly beholding Christ as in a glass (a mirror), we will be changed, little-by-little, day-by-day, into His glorious image! (please carefully study 2nd Corinthians Chapter 3)

This transformation process is our great commission! And this is a full-time occupation, leaving us no time for wringing our hands about the state of affairs of this world! Leave all those matters to God!

CLING TO PRECIOUS PROMISES

So, the next time we feel scorned or badgered by those who want to coerce us into joining up with the world, let’s just cling to all the many “exceeding great and precious promises” in scripture that assure us that our God is going to remain in control of all things! 2nd Peter 1:4

And let’s just keep clinging to those many promises until the Day that we behold Him coming in the clouds of glory!
