“How To Understand Revelation”

The great cardinal rule to understanding the holy Scriptures is this: the entire Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament is only concerned with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

.

In today’s Christian community, this principle has been lost sight of, to a great degree. Many theologians and Bible teachers do not understand that the Old Testament (and The Revelation) is merely the Gospel of Christ, howbeit veiled in types and symbols.

.

“THE SCRIPTURES ARE…THEY WHICH TESTIFY OF ME”

.

But if Bible students can hold fast to this principle, that the entire Bible is about the Gospel of Christ, they will have a much easier time of rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

BIBLE, ITS OWN INTERPRETER

.

One of the greatest errors now being committed in Christendom is to attempt to decipher Bible prophecy, either by using history books and/or newspapers. By so-doing, the theologian or Bible teacher is guilty of adding to God’s Word.

.

Listen…“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:” Revelation 22:18

.

Yes, the Bible warns against adding anything to Bible prophecy. And by allowing Scripture to be interpreted by historical events or even by current events is a grievous error and sin!

COMPARING SCRIPTURE WITH SCRIPTURE

.

But what must be remembered is that the Bible is its own interpreter.

.

Scripture must be compared with scripture, and spiritual things compared with spiritual to gain a proper understanding of God’s Word.

.

There is no need to search other books or writings to interpret the Bible.

.

Oh yes, there is a time to look out into the world. But that should only be done after all one’s homework has been completed.

.

In other words, when any Bible truth has been arrived at, it can readily be seen out in the world, primarily in the Church-world.

.

But even then, the Bible student’s work is never finished! There is always more truth to discover. And so, the diligent Bible student is constantly adding to his knowledge and modifying his understanding on any given Bible topic.

“COME AND SEE!”

.

Now as far as the Four Horsemen of Revelation Chapter 6 is concerned, there is another giant clue to keep in mind when attempting to understand what these four horses and horsemen represent.

.

This clue is given prior to the emergence of each horse, by the announcement by each of the four creatures, “Come and see!”

.

This proclamation given prior to the emergence of each horsemen is a statement found a total of 10 times in Scripture.

.

“COME AND SEE THE WORKS OF GOD!”

.

For instance, “Come and see the works of God: He is terrible in His doing toward the children of men.” Psalm 66:5

.

**Here in Psalm 66, the Psalmist uses this little phrase, “Come and see”, in connection with discovering the works of God.**

“COME AND SEE”, WHERE JESUS DWELLS

.

And again, this little phrase is used in the same way, concerning Jesus as His disciples asked Him…“Master, where dwellest Thou? He saith unto them, ‘Come and see.'” John 1:38, 39

.

And so, in the spiritual context, this little phrase is connected with understanding where Jesus dwells. After all, the Lord tells us, “I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.” Proverbs 8:12

.

Yes, Jesus’ dwelling place is found in discovering the knowledge and wisdom of God’s Word, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“THE REVELATION OF JESUS”

.

And let’s face it! The Book of Revelation names its own self as…“The Revelation of Jesus Christ.” Revelation 1:1

.

Yes, the Book of Revelation is the revelation of Jesus Christ. And even though this truth has been lost sight of to a great degree in today’s theological circles, the Bible student must keep this always in mind when attempting to understand Christ’s Revelation.

“THESE THINGS IN THE CHURCHES”

.

Another great error within the apostate portion of the Church is to assume that because the word “Church” is not found in chapters 4-21 of Revelation, that the Church must have been removed from the earth prior to Revelation’s unfolding prophecies.

.

Therefore they conclude that Revelation must only be concerned with Jews living at that time.

.

But what they are ignoring is that in the last chapter of The Revelation, the following statement is made…“I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.” Revelation 22:16

.

This over-arching truth reveals that the prophecies of Revelation are defined as “these things in the churches”.

.

THE CHURCH VEILED IN TYPES AND SYMBOLS

.

And truth-be-told, the Church is spoken numerous times in the 18 chapters, howbeit veiled in types and symbols, just like the various symbols found throughout the Old Testament!

.

For instance, the Old Testament speaks of “Jerusalem”, “Israel”, “Judah”, “My people”, etc… And yet, these names, while referring to the Old Testament people of God, are actually parabolic references to Christ’s New Testament Church, made up of both Jews and Gentiles.

.

And so, Revelation indeed makes continual references to the Church, yet in types and symbols.

.

REVELATION 12 WOMAN, SYMBOL OF THE CHURCH

.

For another example, Revelation, Chapter 12 is centered around a great sign in Heaven, a woman who gives birth to the Christ child. And so, this woman can only be the heavenly, “Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.” Galatians 4:26 Yes, this woman represents the City of God, His eternal Church.

.

And so, even though the name, “Church” is not specifically used in those 18 chapters, God definitely includes the Church, howbeit veiled in types and symbols.

“STUDY TO SHOW THYSELF APPROVED”

2nd Timothy 2:15

.

And so, the four great principles examined in this devotional need to be confirmed and held fast to, by any and every truth-seeking Bible student.

And by prayerful and careful daily study, it might be said concerning that Bible student, that he or she is…“a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2nd Timothy 2:15

It’s best seen when in the western half of the sky. It is found in mid-sky traveling from east to west. In January, it is in the west after midnight. As winter progresses, it can be seen earlier and earlier in the evening. a dark sky with good star-visibility is best, but not absolutely necessary to see this constellation.

It is found on the opposite side of the Dragon Constellation from Orion. And as already stated, this Glorious Horse Constellation can be seen best in mid-winter when it is in the western side of the sky, and you are looking at it while you are facing west.

.

**The nose and head of this horse is partly made from the Perseus Constellation.**

**The tail and rear end is partly of the Cassiopeia Constellation. The hind-leg is made partly of stars from the Andromeda Constellation.**

Part 21:

“The sinners in Zion are afraid;

fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites.

Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?

…He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly…

He shall dwell on high:

his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks:

bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

Thine eyes shall see the King in His beauty:

they shall behold the land that is very far off.”

Isaiah 33:14-117

.

**This above passage from Isaiah was written specifically for this very hour, in which God’s people are waking up to the realization that the long-awaited Time of Trouble is now upon us.**

.

Yes, many sincere Christians had been duped into believing that God was going to remove His Church from the Earth prior to this great and fearful day.

“THE SINNERS IN ZION ARE AFRAID!”

But God, in His great wisdom, has reserved this Time of Trouble as a giant chastening and purifying process for His extremely sin-ladened people.

And now, the terrifying words of Isaiah, “The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites.”

.

This prophecy concerns us today as we awaken from our spiritual slumber to realize that the “Evil Day” is now upon us! Yes, we had mistakenly, “put far away, the evil Day” Amos 6:3

.

**But now that “Evil Day” is here, and we are surprised, to say the least!**

SPIRITUAL MOUNTAINS

.

Listen to this very revealing passage from Psalms…“They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about His people from henceforth even for ever.” Psalm 15:1, 2

.

So now, just what are we to do? After all, the Bible commands us to “Flee to the mountains”.

.

And we are beginning to comprehend that these are the spiritual mountains of God, as this above Psalm reveals…“As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about His people from henceforth even for ever.” Psalm 15:2

.

“COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE!”

And likewise, we are beginning to understand that when God commands us to…“Come out of her, My people, lest you partake of her sins, and receive of her plagues”, He is referring to the “end-time exodus” out of the apostate church-world.

And God has appropriately named the current apostate church-world, “Mystery Babylon, the Mother of Harlots”. Revelation 17:5

.

Yes, the current, apostate condition of today’s church-world has led the Lord to consider it to be the Harlot Church spoken of in Revelation 17, as well as other places in the Bible.

“ESCAPE TO THE MOUNTAIN!”

.

But there are many who are so intertwined with their local church, that they are afraid to come out of their beloved congregation!

.

Well, God foreknew of this current dilemma long, long ago! As a matter of fact, the story of Lot as he fled from the doomed city of Sodom, was written expressly for our very day.

.

God commanded Lot to, “escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.” Genesis 19:17

.

Yes, God commanded Lot to flee to the mountain, just hours prior to God’s fierce wrath upon that disobedient and wicked city!

.

“I CANNOT ESCAPE!”

.

And it was Lot’s duty was to flee Sodom.

.

But He was afraid!

.

Listen to Lot’s response to God’s command… “Oh, not so, my Lord… I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die” Genesis 19:18, 19

.

Lot was afraid to obey God’s warning, to escape to the mountain.

“FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS!”

.

Now this command to flee to the mountain was a veiled and hidden prophecy concerning the very time we are now in! Lot was commanded to, “escape to the mountain.”

.

And God is just now commanding us, His Elect people, the very same thing…“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:” Matthew 24:15, 16

.

**Here above, written in spiritual, allegorical language, is a warning to God’s Elect, to flee to the mountains, when we behold the Abomination of Desolation standing in the Holy Place.**

.

Do you see the remarkable resemblance between this command, and the command given to Lot?

.

“LORD…I CANNOT ESCAPE TO THE MOUNTAIN!”

.

But just like Lot, God’s people are fearful of having to vacate their local congregation. “How will we be spiritually fed?”

.

“How will our children handle not being able to go to their little children’s class each week at church?”

.

“And what about their friends, and our friends?”

.

“Who will we be able to fellowship with if we must leave?”

.

Well, these are very real fears! And God fully understands His people’s fears.

.

“RIVERS & STREAMS OF (LIVING) WATERS”

.

But God has given us great and precious promises concerning this day, such as Isaiah 30:25…“And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of (living) waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers (the apostate churches) fall.” (parenthetical comments by this website)

.

Here is a great and precious promise, howbeit written in allegorical language! God will supply an abundance of living waters for His people, as they arrive on those spiritual mountains!

.

“BREAD SHALL BE GIVEN!”

.

And for further confirmation of this truth, our signature Bible passage for today promises to each and every Christian that…“his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. Thine eyes shall see the King in His beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.” Isaiah 33:16, 17

.

Here is a wonderful promise for God’s people! Our spiritual bread and our spiritual waters shall be sure!

And in those munitions of rocks, we will see the King in His beauty! And we shall behold the Promised Land that is very far off!

LOCATION

.

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story). Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).

.

And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch to below left). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

.

This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark). While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions. It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

.

The sketch to left shows, the two doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch to right).

How Do I See These Signs Of Heaven?

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the greatest truth in all the universe!

.

Yes, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the incredible Good News: the Good News of God’s love for miserable sinners like me and you!

.

And it is the story of Christ and His beloved Church. No, not some particular denomination.

.

But interspersed throughout the world, are those individuals who have received a new heart through the power of God’s Holy Spirit. This is the true Church of God.

.

GOSPEL WRITTEN IN NATURE

.

Now, if one closely examines the various aspects of nature, it might be discovered that Christ and His Church are inscribed here and there, throughout the created things.

.

For instance, in music, the two primary notes which form the very foundation of harmonic music are the 1st and 5th notes of a scale. And by comparing this with the Ten Commandments, it is seen that the 1st Commandment is all about God’s supreme position over every thing and every one. And the 5th Commandment is about family. It is all about a child honoring his father and mother. And so, the two fundamental musical notes of the scale (1st and 5th) align with the 1st and 5th commandments: God and His Family, the Church!

WRITTEN IN THE HEAVENS

Not only in the music world, but this same concept of Christ’s love for His Church can be seen in the heavens!

Yes, the two greatest constellations in the night-sky are a picture of Christ and His family, the Church!

And what are those two constellations? Can you guess?

ORION & THE 7 STARS

Well, it is Orion and The 7 Stars (also known as The Big Dipper).

.

That’s right! This incredible phenomenon is seen in the night heavens!

.

Orion, of course, represents Christ. And the 7 Stars represents the Church of Christ.

.

THE TWO GREATEST CONSTELLATIONS

.

And so, here once again, the Lord has inscribed this concept even in the stars of heaven!

.

Christ and His Church!

The two greatest truths!

.

And these two constellations are the easiest constellations to locate! It only makes sense!

GREATEST BIBLICAL CONCEPT TOO!

This same concept of Christ and His Church is likewise found throughout the Bible.

.

Oh yes, in the Old Testament, Christ is not specifically named.

.

And yet, the entire Old Testament speaks of Him, either as “The Lord”, or “God”, or veils Him in types and symbols.

.

DAVID, A TYPE OF CHRIST

For instance, the Old Testament uses David as a type, or symbol, of Christ. And so, when David is mentioned in Psalms, it most likely is speaking of Christ.

And of course, one only has to glance at the New Testament to realize that Christ and His people are the main focus.

7 STARS NOT VISIBLE IN FARTHEST REGIONS OF THE SOUTH

Now, it should be noted that the 7 Stars (aka The Big Dipper) may not be seen by many who live in the southernmost regions of the globe.

.

But God has provided Internet for such a time as this, to allow easy access to the heavens.

.

And so, even those living far south can now study all these things, even though they may not be able to enjoy literally seeing them in the sky.

.

GOOD NEWS!

.

Well, the Good News is, that we are living in an hour in which God is calling every lost soul in the world to become a member of His Church.

.

And for those who are willing to seek after this great privilege, the prophet, Joel says… “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Acts 2:21

.

COME LIVE FOREVER!

Just think about it! God has graciously provided a way of escape out of this doomed planet, into a world which will never end!

And those who finally do enter into that “Promised Land” will live forever in peace and joy and harmony, together with the multitudes of redeemed persons who also have called upon the name of the Lord throughout Earth’s history!

The very first step in finding these many constellations, should be to find the two main constellations: Orion, and the 7 Stars (aka, The Big Dipper).

These two constellations represent Christ (Orion), and His Church (7 Stars).

And just as these are the easiest constellations to find, so too, the first place to begin studying the Bible is the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).

These four books present Christ and His Church, when He walked the earth, just as Orion and the 7 Stars represent Christ and His Church, as seen up in the heavens.

Then, once you are comfortable finding these two constellations, you can begin to locate the next closest constellations, and so on.

ANOTHER HEAVENLY HOBBY: PRAYER-WALKS

THRICE-DAILY PRAYERS

**Now of course, the Bible commands us to, “pray without ceasing“. The Christian is to constantly talk with our Heavenly Father throughout the day.**

But the Bible also holds up the godly life of Daniel, who, when captive in Babylon, still set aside three times daily, in which he knelt for special prayer.

And furthermore the Bible also says… “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.” Psalm 55:17.

Even those who are bed-fast or in a prison cell can begin to imitate Daniel in this way. And if one is fortunate to be able to walk, then this thrice-daily prayer regimen can be combined with three walks daily and even nightly.

Just yesterday, a grandfather was talking with his adult daughter about her 1st grader daughter’s “Christian” school.

.

***“You’ll never believe this!”,* the daughter told her father, *“Your granddaughter’s little Baptist school is teaching the children how to dance sensually! Isn’t that awful!?”***

.

Well, needless to say, this was the kind of awful news which caused the grandfather to weep before the Lord!

So, just what is the problem here?

Why is such an unchristian practice occurring in a conservative church school?

“ITCHING EARS” GOSPELS

**What that grandfather needs to understand, is that God has pronounced the churches to be “Babylon”.**

Paul foretells of a time of total church-wide apostasy… “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2nd Timothy 4:3, 4

Yes, from this and other similar passages, it becomes evident that the time has come for the separation of the wheat from the tares. And as 2nd Thessalonians, Chapter 2 reveals, the Holy Spirit has been, “taken out of the way (midst)” of the church-world.

MANY ABOMINATIONS

And so, in light of this apostate and destitute condition of today’s churches, it should be no surprise to see these kinds of abominations occurring in the Christian schools.

Now this is not to indict all Christian schools with encouraging their students to engage in sensual dancing. But if this is going on in so-called conservative Church-schools in conservative little towns, then it is no doubt occurring elsewhere.

And this is not the only abomination occurring in Christian schools. It is just one of many! But this one is a very telling one!

THE CHURCHES NOW MARRIED TO THE WORLD

Well, to put it concisely, many so-called Christian schools have voluntarily mingled the world into the purity of the Gospel of Christ.

But if the Holy Spirit has been taken out of the way (the “midst”), then this explains why there is a marriage of the church with the world. And if the Church marries this Babylonish world, then we can only conclude the Church to now be an integral part of this Babylonish world.

ALARMING STATISTICS

Now statistics confirm the children who have grown up in the churches are streaming out of Christianity at an alarming rate!

One Christian leader wrote a book citing statistics showing that vast numbers of young adults leaving the churches they grew up in.

JOEL SAYS TO, “WEEP!”

God is now only working with individuals and no longer with congregations. It is now what Jeremiah the prophet refers to as, “The Time of Jacob’s Trouble”.

Each Christian must now “weep between the porch and the altar” as Joel prophesies, crying, “Spare Thy people, O LORD, and give not Thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, ‘Where is their God?'”

WE MUST DO WHAT WE CAN DO?

With all the various online schooling, many parents may choose to home-school their children.

Others can form a cooperative group to take turns home-schooling a small group of children. Some might even simply set their children down with the Bible and begin to teach from its infinite wisdom. Still others might be forced to send their children to some public school, or Christian school.

But one thing is for certain. Unless that child lives in a truly Christian home, then even the best Christian schooling will only have limited influence. But those homes which allow television watching, cannot expect to be under the blessing of God.

SEPARATE AS FAR AS POSSIBLE

The Bible says, “Wherefore come out from among them (unbelievers), and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2nd Corinthians 6:17, 18

.

“COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE!”

Well this is one more reason why God considers the church-world to be Babylon, the spiritual Harlot Church.

And the answer is found only in one direction: to “Come out of her My people, lest you partake of her sins, and receive of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

REVELATION 12 WOMAN CONSTELLATION

This page is about the Big Dipper, also called the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major). However, the ancient pagan cultures did not see this constellation as God intended it to be seen. It is actually a headless woman in childbirth. This is seen in springtime. It is seen in the northern skies.

Needless to say, many of these careers and jobs are necessary services for the inhabitants of this fallen world. And there is nothing evil about those necessary jobs and careers.

No, because this present earth is a world of sin, sorrow, and selfishness, there is no true or lasting glory in these so-called “glamorous” careers.

FALLING STARS

Even the very creme-de-la-creme of society, such as being “super-stars”, eventually become victims of the worst human folly, degradation and tragic circumstances: divorce, drug abuse, jealousy, fighting, embarrassing situations, loss-of-inspiration, alcoholism, bankruptcy, and simply getting old, sick, and wrinkled!

LOCATING THE DRAGON

.

THE DRAGON of REVELATION 12 CONSTELLATION . The Dragon Constellation can be located by finding Orion in winter months. The Dragon is to Orion’s left, and the Dragon’s mouth is right next to Orion’s shield. This Dragon’s mouth is the V-like constellation The Hyades Cluster, which is the very same constellation that comprises the head of Taurus the Bull. In other words, Hyades is also known as the head of Taurus the Bull. And Hyades is the mouth of this Dragon.

The tip of the Dragon’s tail is composed of that star-cluster known as The Pleiades. The Pleiades is actually in the shape of a lion’s furry tassel tip of his tail. The sketch below shows this Pleiades as the tail tip.

.

Now with aid of a dark starry night, you may begin to connect this mouth and the tail with a very long body in an oval shape. The front and back legs are very well-defined with stars. The front legs are made partially of Taurus. The back legs and rear fin are made of the Cetus Constellation. But the long oval-shaped body has relatively few stars, but can been seen, howbeit with a dark starry night. The four stars of the front fins are made partially of Taurus. This Dragon constellation appears in the eastern horizon about mid-summer in the pre-dawn hours, spewing his flood-waters northward toward the Woman of Revelation 12 (Woman in Travail). The Wave of Water is primarily composed of the Constellation Auriga. The are two more less bright stars which are closest to the Dragon’s mouth. These two dimmer stars are also part of this Wave of Water.

Yes, for the people of this world, this kind of mass, societal cookie-cutter lifestyle world-order is perhaps, okay.

After all, for those who refuse Heaven, this world will be all there is. And this world will become the final resting place for any and every soul who goes down to their grave without an “escape plan”, so to speak!

.

And so, as Brother Paul so aptly put it, “if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.” 1st Corinthians 15:32.

.

As this above verse concludes, if this world is all there is, then people here might as well just have a good time for the next few years, before they die forever, and become eternal dust!

But for those who are being saved, Paul says…“serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:28, 29

To be certain, each and every one who calls himself, “Christian”, must hold this wonderful Savior in the most supreme reverence and highest esteem, as He allows us to safely go through the purifying fires of Satan’s persecution!

THE ORIGINAL PLAN

And in stark contrast to these cookie-cutter lifestyles, the Son of God came down from Heaven, to offer His own alternative plan to the citizens of this fallen world. Oh no, it is not really an alternative plan, but Christianity is the ORIGINAL PLAN, which we forfeited back in the original Garden of Paradise.

.

And the unselfish life of Christ stands in utter contrast to the often, “selfish” lifestyles which the world produces! Yes, Christ offers to us a life filled with genuine brotherly love, brotherly kindness, patience, meekness, humility, generosity, long-suffering, faith, temperance, and every other heavenly virtue!

.

And as we behold the life of Christ as revealed in the Bible, we then can behold how superior His life is, when compared to the lifestyles which this world produces!

WHICH PATH WILL I CHOOSE?

The Good News is, even though the end of all things is at hand, God in His divine mercy is providing enough time for all those who are fed up with this hopeless and selfish world, to repent and turn back to Heaven’s open arms!

.

And unlike this hopelessly dying world, those who choose the upward pathway to Heaven will be satisfied with everlasting life: in a world in which we will never grow old nor die!

.

Now having said all these things, the following probably should also be stated, to avoid any fanaticism amongst the zealous Christians: “Obviously, Christians must work and provide for their own households. And so, while we are still yet “absent from the Lord”, it is only reasonable that we too are required to choose from one of these earthly lifestyles as a means of employment and self-preservation in this world, as 1st Corinthians 7:31 admonishes us, “And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.”)

LOCATING THE DRAGON

THE DRAGON of REVELATION 12 CONSTELLATION . The Dragon Constellation can be located by finding Orion in winter months. The Dragon is to Orion’s left, and the Dragon’s mouth is right next to Orion’s shield. This Dragon’s mouth is the V-like constellation The Hyades Cluster, which is the very same constellation that comprises the head of Taurus the Bull. In other words, Hyades is also known as the head of Taurus the Bull. And Hyades is the mouth of this Dragon.

The tip of the Dragon’s tail is composed of that star-cluster known as The Pleiades. The Pleiades is actually in the shape of a lion’s furry tassel tip of his tail. The sketch below shows this Pleiades as the tail tip.

Now with aid of a dark starry night, you may begin to connect this mouth and the tail with a very long body in an oval shape. The front and back legs are very well-defined with stars. The front legs are made partially of Taurus. The back legs and rear fin are made of the Cetus Constellation. But the long oval-shaped body has relatively few stars, but can been seen, howbeit with a dark starry night. The four stars of the front fins are made partially of Taurus. This Dragon constellation appears in the eastern horizon about mid-summer in the pre-dawn hours, spewing his flood-waters northward toward the Woman of Revelation 12 (Woman in Travail). The Wave of Water is primarily composed of the Constellation Auriga. The are two more less bright stars which are closest to the Dragon’s mouth. These two dimmer stars are also part of this Wave of Water.

Part 10:

“Judge Ye Not!”

“And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven,

shalt be brought down to hell:

for if the mighty works,

which have been done in thee,

had been done in Sodom,

it would have remained until this day.

But I say unto you,

That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom

in the day of judgment,

than for thee.”

Mathew 11:23, 24

.

This above passage from Matthew presents a huge truth and a great challenge to God’s people.

.

Yes, this above passage reveals that the wicked city of Sodom will be in less trouble on Judgment Day than a City of God will be!

“THEREFORE I SPEAK TO THEM IN PARABLES”

Matthew 13:13

But how can this be speaking to Christians when it is clearly addressed to the city of Capernaum?

.

Well, that’s how God wrote the Bible. In other words, there are many cities mentioned in the Old and New Testaments.

.

And yet, since the Bible is a spiritual Book, it is only concerned with the Gospel of Jesus.

.

And so, the city of Capernaum is symbolic of God’s people, made of both Jews and Gentiles alike.

.

“THOU CAPERNAUM…SHALL BE BROUGHT DOWN TO HELL!”

But Jesus, here in the above passage from Matthew, is reprimanding Capernaum because of all its many privileges in hearing so much light of the Gospel, and yet falling short of its responsibility to live up to that light it had received.

.

And so, Jesus was letting them know that the wicked city of Sodom was in better standing with God than His own professed people!

.

Listen again…“for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.” Matthew 11:23

.

“SINNERS, OF WHO I AM CHIEF!”

1st Timothy 1:15

.

So how could this be!? How could the wicked city of Sodom be in better standing with God, than those who were seemingly much less sinners?

.

Well, the following verse from Luke’s Gospel answers that question…“And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:47, 48

.

So then, the city of Sodom, not having the privilege of receiving all the many truths that had been given to Capernaum, will be beaten with few stripes on Judgment Day, while Capernaum (God’s People) will be beaten with many stripes.

Now, just how does all this translate into our present-day dilemma?

Well, for instance, in the Christian community, there is a tendency to look down our noses at the homosexual community, as though they are greater sinners above all others.

But it may just be, that when we are all standing before God’s Judgment throne, we will be surprised to discover that when weighed in the balances, we are in greater trouble than they!

Yes, we might just find that we had not been faithful in investing our time and talents as we should have been.

But God gave us the Apostle, Paul, to be a human example of what He wanted His Church to be!

But instead of following Paul’s selfless example of self-sacrificing love for God’s people and dedication to preaching the Gospel, we instead began to pursue the same opulence and hedonism which ultimately led to the decline and destruction of Sodom!

Yes, the “Enemy of Souls” deceived us by creating this decadent, cornucopian super-society in which every conceivable earthly pleasure and ambitious dream was achievable! Television, Internet, radio, newspapers, magazines, novels, sports, politics, games, clubs, houses, gardens, recreational vehicles, restaurants, movies, theater, time-consuming-energy-sapping careers, social events, parties, lavish pleasure resorts, talk shows, dramas, comedies, dances, ballets, shopping malls, and on and on the list goes!

.

Oh no, some of these things are not inherently evil by themselves. But when they together collectively begin to overshadow our Divine commission to conform our life into Christ’s image, then they become a sinful detour from that right Way in which we must go!

“AS IN THE DAYS OF LOT…THUS SHALL IT BE…WHEN THE SON OF MAN IS REVEALED”

And now, as a witness and judgment against us, God has allowed Satan to once again raise up Sodom all around us!

And truth-be-told, we are like poor Lot, who found himself stuck smack-dab in the middle of Sodom until the morning of its destruction!

**Well, first of all, instead of looking down my nose at those “sinful Sodomites over there”, I rather need to fall prostrate before God, confessing that my own sins are much greater than theirs!**

Because I should know better, while their sins are borne out of ignorance, to a greater degree!

SATAN STEALS OUR PERFECT PEACE

One great problem with listening to Satan’s whisperings, is that this is how this “Accuser of our Brethren” gains access into our hearts and minds. And once we allow him access, he often begins to torment us with all sorts of “evil surmisings” about the motives of others. (Revelation 12:10 & 1st Timothy 6:4)

.

We must remember the Wise Man’s advice…“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.” Proverbs 4:24-27

Yes, to guard the avenues to the soul, not allowing Satan any access, is our first and foremost duty!

Well, I need to seek after the remedy for my sinful love of this world: such remedy being found in the Book of James.

Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.” James 4:4, 8-10

Yes, James 4:4 reveals that God judges me as being, “a friend of the world”, thus making me, “the enemy of God”!

And so, in my sorrow, it must be my determined purpose to fall prostrate before my Heavenly Father, begging and pleading for forgiveness and restoration from my love of this world!

FLEEING WOMAN CONSTELLATION

***FROM WHERE &TO WHERE DOES SHE FLEE?* *WOMAN ROTATES THROUGH THE SEASONS…***

This page is about the Big Dipper, also called the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major ). However, the ancient pagan cultures did not see this constellation as God intended it to be seen. It is actually a headless woman in childbirth. This is seen in springtime. It is seen in the northern skies.

But as the seasons progress, this travailing woman flips upside down, now appearing as a woman with upraised arms like eagle wings who is running (eventually flying, as shown in sketch on right) into the wilderness (westward). The 7 Stars (Big Dipper) is easy to see with its very bright 7 stars. But the Revelation 12 Woman (Ursa Major) must be seen on a dark starry night, away from city lights.

Part 22:

“Will I Die In The Mountain? CONTINUED”

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,

as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:

and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Hebrews 10:25

.

This above verse from Hebrews commands us to, “not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, and all the more as we see the day approaching.”

.

But the question we must ask ourselves is, “We are to assemble together until we see WHAT DAY APPROACHING?”

.

HABAKKUK SAYS, “RUN!”

.

Well, the day approaching is the day in which God’s people are commanded to, “RUN!”

.

Listen to the prophet, Habakkuk…“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:2, 3

.

Here is a very cryptic prophecy concerning the end-times, in which God’s people are counseled by God to, “RUN!”

.

This is the long-awaited day which we were looking for!

“LORD…I CANNOT ESCAPE TO THE MOUNTAIN!”

But just like Lot, God’s people are fearful of having to vacate their local congregation. “How will we be spiritually fed?”

.

“How will our children handle not being able to go to their little children’s class each week at church?”

.

“And what about their friends, and our friends?”

.

“Who will we be able to fellowship with if we must leave?”

.

Well, these are real fears! And God fully understands His people’s fears.

“RIVERS & STREAMS OF (LIVING) WATERS”

But God has given us great and precious promises concerning this day, such as Isaiah 30:25…“And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of (living) waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers (the apostate churches) fall.” (parenthesis comments by this editor)

.

Here is a great and precious promise, howbeit written in allegorical language! God will supply an abundance of living waters for God’s people, as they arrive on those spiritual mountains in the day when their church-world reaches its apostasy!

“IT IS THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE”

**Well, none of us know exactly how this Time of Trouble will unfold in all its details.**

.

**But we do know certain truths. For instance, we know that God refers to this day as ,“The Time of Jacob’s Trouble”, which is a great time of wrestling with God. (see Jeremiah 30:6, 7)**

.

**And frankly, this Time of Trouble is already beginning, even while this work-a-day world carries on their daily business as usual.**

.

BLOODHOUNDS & BLACK HELICOPTERS?

And what about the coming months?

.

Will there be black helicopters and bloodhounds chasing God’s people through the forest and hills?

.

Well, perhaps that will come. Nobody knows for sure at this present hour.

“A TABLE IN THE WILDERNESS?”

.

But the point of today’s devotional, is to reassure ourselves that whatever spiritual blessings we think we will be missing out on, by leaving our local congregation, will be more than compensated for as we discover that God can indeed, “furnish a table in the wilderness” Psalm 78:19.

.

Yes, God can certainly provide for all our spiritual needs, both for us, and also for our children in those spiritual mountains!

.

And the fact is, the fellowship down at church probably wasn’t all that great anyway! A whole lot of fun and worldly chatter, and social events, and a once-a-week, milk-of-the-Word spoon-feeding.

.

And church, to a great degree was like a social club and fraternal order, overspread with a thin veneer of religiosity.

.

“AS THE LIGHT OF SEVEN DAYS”

.

But the Lord has much greater blessings to offer those who are escaped from Babylon!

.

Because, as we continue reading Isaiah, Chapter 30, verse 26 continues…“Moreover the light of the moon (the Church) shall be as the light of the Sun (Christ), and the light of the Sun (Christ) shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.” (Parenthesis comments by this editor)

.

Here again is spiritual, allegorical language which reveals that the Church (symbolized by the Moon) will shine with the brightness of the Sun (of Righteousness), Jesus in the day when the towers (churches) fall. And the Sun (of Righteousness) will shine sevenfold, as the light of seven days!

.

In the simplest terms, God’s separated Elect people will be enjoying rich fellowship and communion with Christ seven days of the week, instead of just one morning per week, as they now do! Christ’s light will shine upon them “as seven days!”

.

“I WILL GIVE TO EAT OF THE HIDDEN MANNA”

Revelation 2:17

And once God’s Elect people escape from the Babylonish church-world, they will be delighted to discover the abundance of deep Bible truths that they never heard before down at the local congregation!

And as far as our children are concerned, God can certainly bless them while out of the churches!

.

And let’s face it! Statistics show that young people are right now streaming out of the church-world in droves to enjoy the pleasures of sin in the secular world! Statistics show that God is not blessing our “churched” children at this present hour.

.

So anything would be an improvement over the present situation within the churches and denominations!

.

NO HOLY SPIRIT, NO BLESSINGS!

And let’s not forget that God’s Spirit has been taken out of the midst of the church-world.

Listen…“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2nd Timothy 4:3, 4

.

So, in the light of such passages as this above passage from 2nd Timothy, there certainly can be no spiritual blessings within the churches!

Listen again…“Come out of her, My people, lest you partake of her sins, and receive of her plagues”, Revelation 18:4

So here is revealed that those who refuse to come out of her, will receive of her plagues.

And so, what we really need to fear is the curse that will come down upon us, should we remain in the churches, and refuse to come out!

Well, the Good News in all this negativity is that God has graciously allowed us time to study these things in hopes of gaining a greater understanding of this very critically important issue!

REVELATION 12 WOMAN CONSTELLATION

.

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story). Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).

.

And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch to below left). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

.

This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark). While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions. It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

.

The sketch to left shows, the two doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch to right).

The Revelation of Jesus Christ,

Part 4:

“Ye Shall Have Tribulation Ten Days!“

“Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer:

behold, the Devil shall cast some of you into prison,

that ye may be tried;

and ye shall have tribulation ten days:

be thou faithful unto death,

and I will give thee a crown of life.

He that hath an ear,

let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;

He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.”

Revelation 2:10, 11

In this above verse, is one of the prophecies found in the various seven letters to the seven churches of Asia, recorded in the first few chapters of the Book of Revelation.

.

It speaks of a period of tribulation which the saints of the Church of Smyrna were to endure for a period of ten days.

THE SEVEN CHURCHES = THE CHURCH

.

Now, many or perhaps most theologians rightly interpret these seven letters as actually concerning the churches throughout the past 2,000 years.

.

Yes, those seven churches represent all God’s people throughout the past 2,000 year history of the Church.

.

In other words, theologians understand that those seven churches were an allegorical representation of the entire era of the Church.

.

REVELATION: ALLEGORICALLY UNDERSTOOD

.

But what most theologians neglect to emphasize is the allegorical nature of the contents of those letters.

.

For instance, when Christ tells this church, that some of them will have tribulation for 10 days, all we need do is to look at the bloody history of the Church to realize that God’s people suffered much longer than 10 literal days!

.

Yes, during those bloody centuries of persecution, God’s people often suffered for years! In dark, dank prison cells. In merciless torture chambers. Or finding refuge in caves and mountain strongholds.

.

These were just a few of the types of persecution which a Christian had to endure, sometimes for years!

So why then, did Jesus only say “ten days”? Why did he not rather say, “Ye shall have persecution for some period of time”?

.

7 LETTERS, THE KEY THAT UNLOCKS NEXT 19 CHAPTERS

.

Well, one reason why Jesus only said, “ten days” is to help us to understand that the Book of Revelation is a book of allegorical symbolism.

.

And these seven letters to the seven churches are the foundation of the Book of Revelation. In other words, those seven letters help us to understand just how the other 19 chapters are to be understood.

.

And so, as one reads that prophetic book (hopefully, with “an ear to hear” truth), that truth-seeking Bible student will understand that Revelation must be deciphered allegorically in order to be properly understood.

Now just why did Jesus say, “ten days”? Why didn’t He say, “eleven days” or “twelve days”?

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

.

Well, if the Bible student searches the Scriptures, it is not long until he or she realizes that the number, “ten” is very significant in several ways.

.

First of all, the number “ten” is most closely aligned with the ten commandments. And so, it is most probable that Jesus was using the phrase, “ten days” to signify the nature of that tribulation: the Law of God.

.

And the Book of Revelation substantiates this idea in the following verse…”Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” Revelation 14:12

.

And while the entire Bible is the Law of God, yet, the Ten Commandments symbolize the entire Bible.

.

“TEN” SYMBOLIZES FULLNESS OF JUDGMENT

.

In other words, the number, “ten” symbolizes the completeness of God’s judgment, as revealed in His Law. And for this reason, the Devil will get permission to put some of God’s people on trial, just as he did to Job.

.

In this way, God allows such trials to strengthen His people, to perfect His people, and to cause their faith to increase.

.

After all, the Bible is replete with passages which confirm this concept, such as 2nd Corinthians 12:9, 10, in which Paul says, “And He (God) said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: FOR MY STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”

.

In other words, God allows tribulation and testing for the spiritual growth and strengthening of His saints. This is one big reason for allowing this coming time of trouble for the end-time Church.

OTHER REASONS FOR THE NUMBER, “TEN”

.

Well, the number, “ten” has other spiritual significance, such as symbolizing the Church.

.

But for brevity’s sake, these other Bible truths will not now be discussed.

.

BIBLE IS THE KEY TO UNDERSTANDING REVELATION

.

But the big point that none should overlook is this: the Book of Revelation is a book filled with symbols. And those who are spiritual, and not carnally-minded, must be found “comparing spiritual things with spiritual”, to rightly interpret that Book. (1st Corinthians 2:14)

.

In other words, the Bible student must use the other 65 books of the Bible to properly find the true allegorical meaning of Revelation.

MUCH STUDY REQUIRED

.

For instance, Revelation 13 reveals that the 1st Beast has power to continue for “forty-two months”.

.

And so, instead of merely seeing this as a literal 42 months, the Bible student needs to compare scripture with scripture, to find out the true allegorical meaning of the number, “forty-two”.

.

THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST

.

And, the other numbers of Revelation also have spiritual significance.

.

And by properly deciphering the many symbols found throughout the Book of Revelation, it will be discovered that Revelation reveals Jesus Christ, and His Gospel of Salvation! Yes, all those allegorical symbols found in Revelation, are really symbols concerning various aspects of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

.

**That is why the opening verse of Revelation says the words…“The Revelation of Jesus Christ”. This title tells exactly what Revelation is all about: Jesus!**

HISTORY BOOKS & NEWSPAPERS

.

But unfortunately, most theologians and Bible teachers merely attempt to interpret Revelation by use of history books and newspapers, thus falling into a deep ditch, theologically speaking!

.

And this is why there are so many different ideas concerning what Revelation is all about. For instance, one theologian claims that locusts represent black helicopters. Another says they represent Muslims riding horses. Still another claims that locusts represent germ warfare.

COME OUT OF BABYLON

.

All this confusion is just one more reason that God has concluded the church-world to be Babylon, the City of Confusion!

.

But the day has come for God’s faithful remnant to, “Come out of her, My people!” Yes, the call is now going out for each and every true worshiper of God to make the end-time exodus out of the City of Confusion.

SPIRITUAL BREAD & WATERS SUPPLIED

The very Good News is, that God can indeed spread a table in the wilderness. And upon every high mountain of our refuge, God’s people will find an abundance of heavenly Manna, and “rivers and streams of living waters, in the day when the towers (the churches) fall”. (See Isaiah 30:25)

And yes, in the coming months, many of us may be required to suffer tribulation “ten days”. But if we are faithful, even unto death, God promises to give to us, “a crown of (everlasting) life!” (See James 1:12 & Revelation 2:10)

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” Rev. 12:3

In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not. But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars. The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7). And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10). So we have this 7 and 10 numbering. And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent. Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

The Beast of Revelation 13

.

There is no shortage of speculation on just what or who is that Antichrist Beast revealed in Revelation, Chapter 13.

.

Some say he is a business-world figure.

.

Others speculate that he is a political figure.

.

And still others say he is a religious man.

.

And many even confidently assert that he’s all three!

.

Well, just how can we know for a certainty, who this dark and mysterious figure is?

.

THE BIBLE: GOD’S INFALLIBLE WORD

.

Of course, the only place to search out this question regarding who is the Antichrist Beast, is to in look into God’s infallible Word, the Bible.

BEAST COMPRISED OF KINGS AND KINGDOMS

.

So first of all, let’s just collect a few passages which speak directly to this question.

.

Listen…“The beast that you saw … And here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman (the Mystery Harlot) sits. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come…And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.” Revelation 17:8-12

.

Thus, it becomes apparent that this Beast is an allegorical figure, representing whatever kings and kingdoms that wage war against the Lamb of God.

BEASTS BODY ALSO COMPRISED OF KINGS & KINGDOMS

Now as we go back to Revelation 13:2, this Beast is further described…“And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”

.

Here is described the beast’s composite body, comprised of various beasts, which brings us back to the Book of Daniel, Chapter 7, and refers to kings and kingdoms which rule over the world, even back to Daniel’s day.

VERY COMPLICATED BEAST

.

Now of course, all these various components of this very complicated multi-faceted beast would require an entire book to explain.

.

And we have skipped over other facets of the beast, and cannot fit them into this tiny devotional.

.

BEAST IS LIKE REVELATION 12 DRAGON

.

But today’s devotional will highlight just one aspect of this beast, which should help us to understand who this beast really is.

.

You see, the Bible reveals that this beast is basically the image and likeness of the Revelation 12 Dragon, who likewise has 7 heads, 10 horns, etc…

.

And Revelation reveals this Dragon to be none other than Satan, who gives his power and authority to the beast!

.

SINCE THE GARDEN OF EDEN

.

And so, since this entire world and its inhabitants are the kingdom of Satan, it could be conjectured that this Antichrist Beast is actually Satan’s kingdom, as he and his fellow evil-angels empower the Beast (his earthly kingdom), to battle against Heaven.

.

And one big clue that we are on the right track is found in Revelation 13:8, which tells us…“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (the Beast), whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

.

This verse seems to indicate that all who ever lived on the earth, from its very inception, have worshiped this beast and the dragon who empowers it. And isn’t it true that the entire human race, throughout history, has worshipped Satan? Yes, since the day that Mankind fell from grace, back in the Garden, Satan has taken up residence, planting his kingdom on this fallen world’s soil.

THE “MAN” OF SIN

.

Now the general consensus in Christendom is that this beast is some single individual who comes on the scene at the end of history. And the confusion is derived from a misunderstanding of 2nd Thessalonians 2: which speaks of the “man of sin” who takes his seat in the temple of the Lord.

SATAN, THE KING of BABYLON

.

But what most people do not consider is that Lucifer is called the King of Babylon in Isaiah 14, but is also referred to as a “man” in verse 16 of that same chapter!

.

Listen…“They that see thee (Lucifer, the King of Babylon) shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this THE MAN that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms…that opened not the house of his prisoners?” Isaiah 14:16

.

OK, so here is seen that Satan, the King of Babylon is called a man. And so, when speaking of this “man of sin” who takes his seat in the temple of God, we need not look any further than Satan, or Lucifer, the King of Babylon.

LUCIFER TO SIT IN TRUE TEMPLE

.

And really, Isaiah 14:13, 14 reveals that it has been Lucifer’s desire to, “For thou (Lucifer) hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

.

Here we see that it has always been Lucifer’s dream to sit in the holy mount of the congregation. This is the only true temple of God, comprised of God and His people, as is written…“for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” 2nd Corinthians 6:16

.

Here is the only temple which Lucifer desires to reign and rule over: the temple of the living God, comprised of His people, being held together by the Holy Spirit of God! This is the great over-arching desire of Satan, that Dragon of old: to rule over God’s people!

The great cardinal rule to understanding the holy Scriptures is this: the entire Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament is only concerned with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In today’s Christian community, this principle has been lost sight of, to a great degree. Many theologians and Bible teachers do not understand that the Old Testament (and The Revelation) is merely the Gospel of Christ, howbeit veiled in types and symbols.

“THE SCRIPTURES ARE…THEY WHICH TESTIFY OF ME”

But if Bible students can hold fast to this principle, that the entire Bible is about the Gospel of Christ, they will have a much easier time of rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

BIBLE, ITS OWN INTERPRETER

One of the greatest errors now being committed in Christendom is to attempt to decipher Bible prophecy, either by using history books and/or newspapers. By so-doing, the theologian or Bible teacher is guilty of adding to God’s Word.

Yes, the Bible warns against adding anything to Bible prophecy. And by allowing Scripture to be interpreted by historical events or even by current events is a grievous error and sin!

COMPARING SCRIPTURE WITH SCRIPTURE

.

But what must be remembered is that the Bible is its own interpreter.

Scripture must be compared with scripture, and spiritual things compared with spiritual to gain a proper understanding of God’s Word.

There is no need to search other books or writings to interpret the Bible.

Oh yes, there is a time to look out into the world. But that should only be done after all one’s homework has been completed.

In other words, when any Bible truth has been arrived at, it can readily be seen out in the world, primarily in the Church-world.

“LINE UPON LINE…HERE A LITTLE, THERE A LITTLE”

But even then, the Bible student’s work is never finished! There is always more truth to discover. And so, the diligent Bible student is constantly adding to his knowledge and modifying his understanding on any given Bible topic.

“COME AND SEE!”

.

Now as far as the Four Horsemen of Revelation Chapter 6 is concerned, there is another giant clue to keep in mind when attempting to understand what these four horses and horsemen represent.

.

This clue is given prior to the emergence of each horse, by the announcement by each of the four creatures, “Come and see!”

.

This proclamation given prior to the emergence of each horsemen is a statement found a total of 10 times in Scripture.

**Here in Psalm 66, the Psalmist uses this little phrase, “Come and see”, in connection with discovering the works of God.**
