Can you believe it? It’s been over 50 years since the Summer of Love in San Francisco!

Remember that?

.

Flowers were given as a symbol of peace and love!

“LOVE SHMOVE!”

.

Well, it wasn’t long until that movement went the way of almost every movement.

.

And the world returned back to its normal push-and-shove ways, now even more skeptical of any so-called, “peace and love” rhetoric.

“Where is the love? Where is the love?”

.

Now, just a quick examination of today’s world and one might conclude that God is presently withdrawing his protection away from this “planet-in-rebellion”!

The pure hatred in politics is rising to new heights on a daily basis!

**The threats (and actual misdeeds) of physical violence are getting a bit scary, to say the least!**

“AND THE NATIONS WERE ANGRY!”

Now all this hatred and violence reminds us of the prophecy found in Revelation…“And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, the time of the dead, that they should be judged…” Revelation 11:18

.

Truly, the nations are angry!

.

And this is a great sign that our Judgment Day has verily begun!

THE REVELATION 13 FALSE PROPHET

.

Revelation 13 foretold of the day when the 2nd Beast of Revelation would arise to deceive the world, and cause them to worship the 1st Beast (which 1st beast is actually symbolic of this present world system: Satan’s antichrist world-system. And, “beasts” in scripture often represent kingdoms. See Daniel, Chapter 7, for examples of beasts = kingdoms).

.

Now of course, most all false prophets must appear to be kindly and loving. Otherwise, it would be very difficult to gather followers. And it is written that the Revelation 13 False Prophet has “two horns like a lamb”. Revelation 13:11

.

In other words, this above verse reveals that this Revelation 13 False Prophet will be a counterfeit of the Lamb of God, Jesus!

.

Yes, this above prophecy is pointing to none other than a counterfeit of Jesus. And Jesus had two horns of power…“Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.” Psalm 85:10

Yes, one of the horns of the Lamb of God is “mercy and…peace”

.

And as we look at the two major political entities in this land, we see that one of them claims to be “the people of mercy and compassion”!

.

And truth-be-told, this political entity often advocates for many new legislative enactments which they suppose to be merciful.

LOVE YOUR ENEMIES?

But often, when this group is strongly opposed, they begin to get rather vicious!

And in this current political climate, their followers have become extremely vicious, sometimes even committing acts of violence against their supposed enemies, the opposing political faction (which is the justice/morality, right horn of the False Prophet beast).

“There is none righteous, no, not one!”

Romans 3:10

But really, what else could we expect. After all, without the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit, it is impossible to possess true mercy and compassion…“A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.” Proverbs 12:10

.

As this above verse reveals, only true righteousness can be genuinely merciful!

GOD NOW EXPOSING THEIR FRAUD

And so, God is faithfully allowing this False Prophet beast to show his “true colors”.

Therefore, what we are seeing in today’s political arena, is the unmasking of this counterfeit compassion, as that political faction becomes louder and more hateful and increasingly violent.

In contrast, Heaven sent Jesus to this world to show us true righteousness and genuine love and compassion.

And when opposed, He quietly answered His accusers, eventually allowing them to nail Him to the Cross!

And so, the very Good News is that we don’t have to accept such a low-grade, counterfeit “love”, as this world only has to offer.

No, we can still turn to the One who unfailingly exercised true mercy and compassion.

And in His great grace, He is even willing to receive all those of us who once hated Him, but now are asking forgiveness and restoration from our former selfish and hateful ways!

.

A choice like this only comes once in an eternity!

.

So don’t waste such a wonderful opportunity to live forever!

THE ARK IN THE HEAVENS

.

So what importance to us is all this information? Well, if a person goes out at night, beginning in April (earlier in southern-most latitudes, and later in northern-most), in the pre-dawn hour, they just might locate the constellation commonly referred to as the Sagittarius Constellation . It is located in the southern sky. (Each night it appears a little earlier, slowly inching westward, through the summer, until it finally disappears below the western horizon in November.)

.

At first, it simply appears as two twin birds flying westward. But if you look once again, it just might appear as a long box-like figure, with one star on the right, as you face it, and two stars on the left. The box, of course would be the Ark, and the stars on either side would represent angels, which are sometimes referred to as stars in the Bible (for instance, “the seven stars are the angels…” Revelation 1:20). To the right is a star-chart from Wikipedia, in which the editor of this site has sketched in this Sagittarius Constellation, to show how God created it to appear.

Television and The Image That Speaks,

“Do Not Rich Men Oppress You?”

should both speak, and cause

that as many as would not worship

TELEVISION, THE IMAGE THAT SPEAKS

.

**Just think about it! For the very first time in history, Mankind is directly linked up with “the god of this world”, via television, radio, and now, Internet.**

.

And these remarkable devices have become his advertiser-in-chief, so to speak, presenting his kingdom of sin and selfishness in the most glorious and attractive light!

.

AN OUTER CLOAK OF GOODNESS, BEAUTY, AND CHARM

.

And even though the faces are constantly changing on these media, nevertheless they each present some sinful aspects of Satan’s character, while cloaked within a thin outer veil of goodness, beauty, and charismatic charm.

.

In other words, each viewer of these media will find some enviable actor, or some attractive singing idol, or some dynamic sports star, business person, writer, etc., to look up to and admire.

.

And as we all know, there is no shortage of admirable and enviable faces and characters on television to choose from.

.

**These are among the “rich men” that oppress us, as it states in James 2:6.**

.

Oh, they may or may not be rich monetarily. But they are rich in other ways too: charm, wit, “coolness”, beauty, fame, mental and physical abilities, etc.. These qualities are likewise very much considered to be one’s riches.

LUCIFER’S CHARACTER MINGLED IN

But beneath the thin outer veneer of beauty, strength, and goodness of these mega-stars, is mingled a few of the various aspects of Satan’s character: greed, revenge, unbelief, sensual lust, violence, sarcasm, comedy (“foolish talk and jesting” Ephesians 5), pride, arrogance, selfishness, cold-hearted indifference, lacking brotherly love, and often lacking other heavenly qualities as well.

.

Yes, this list is just a partial sampling of the many ungodly characteristics of Lucifer, “the Prince of the Power of the Air”, which he sends through the airways, via the modern-day media. (Ephesians 2:2, 3)

.

“Do not rich men oppress you?”

James 2:6

.

**But as a very big “spoke in the wheel” of Satan’s many weapons of warfare, television has become increasingly oppressive.**

.

And this brings us to the purpose for writing today’s devotional.

.

Listen to the Word of God, as given by James…“Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?” James 2:6, 7

.

Here above, God reveals that it is the rich who oppress His people.

.

“the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.”

Habakkuk 1:4

.

Both in the Church and out in the world, Christ’s followers are daily subjected to the overwhelming voices of the world, all in unison, demanding that everyone must stay on board this Titanic ship called, The World!

.

From fellow townspeople, to church-members, to schools, to the media, to billboards and department store signage, to just about any and every other means of communication, God’s people are daily inundated with the same spoken (or unspoken) message: “You gotta love this world, in spite of all its problems and evils! You must fit in!”

.

THE RICH OPPRESS THE CHILDREN!

.

And the most vulnerable of all people-groups are children!

.

**Yes, these TV spokespeople (who are rich in beauty and charisma) present a message to children, that for the most part, causes them to join in or be scorned.**

.

And combined with peer-pressure from fellow school classmates, it’s almost impossible for young children to maintain faithfulness to Jesus.

.

And let’s face it! None of us enjoy being ridiculed, laughed at and mocked for being different!

.

And so, the daily pressure is on: to be cool, to wear the latest fashions, to talk “hip”, to be “sexy”, etc…

.

But television and Internet are more powerful than all the rest. Because beautiful and charismatic spokespeople are constantly presenting this tragic world in the most favorable light possible!

“GOOD NEWS FROM A FAR COUNTRY”

Proverbs 25:25

Well, the Good News is, that there is still time to turn off the world, and instead, tune in to Heaven!

.

As far as possible let us fill our hearts with Christ’s Words of Eternal Life, filtering out as much of this world’s selfishness and deceit as possible, begging and pleading for God’s empowerment to do just that! (See John 6:68 for “Words of Eternal Life” reference)

.

And may God be gracious to each and every one of us who are struggling to overcome!

WINTER CONSTELLATIONS

.

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter. Although it can be observed most of the winter, it is seen best when it is the western part of the sky, at winter’s end (The end of winter being the final scene of this heavenly Gospel story). Orion , the Dragon, and the Glorious White Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon (sketch to right is Winter Constellations descending into western horizon. This can actually be seen as early as December, in the pre-dawn hours).

.

And at this point it is apparent that the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the two bright stars, known as Castor and Pollux (sketch to left). But the Wide Gate Stars are composed of the two brightest stars of the Auriga Constellation, known as the star, Capella, and the star, Menkalinan. The two stars, Castor and Pollux, make up the concept of the Orion’s Narrow Gate Stars.

.

This can even be observed into June in the western sky (for a short time just after dark). While a dark night is best for seeing the Woman Constellation, the 4 stars which comprise the Narrow Gate/Wide Gate Stars can be seen even under mediocre conditions. It begins with the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation (AKA Ursa Major) going towards these two doors.

.

The sketch to left shows, the two doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the ‘Wide Gate’ Stars are the two brightest stars of the wave of water that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the ‘Narrow Gate’ are about half the width of the Wide Gate (see sketch below left).

**It’s a Rosie-The-Riveter world!**

Well, isn’t it?

.

It’s an “I Can Do It!” world.

.

Well, don’t you believe it?

.

Okay, so that’s a bold statement.

.

But just look around at this world!

.

From cradle-to-grave, we are taught that we must depend upon our own strength to get things done! And we are told we must rely upon our own intellect to solve our problems!

.

**Yes, this is truly a Rosie-The-Riveter world in which the people attempt to live by their own strength and intellect, instead of trusting in God’s strength and relying on His infinite wisdom!**

**And it’s been a Rosie-The-Riveter world for a very long time!**

**It’s an “I can do it” world!**

.

Even far back in the Garden, when the Tempter enticed the woman, it was concerning the issue of her desiring to be like God.

She didn’t want to trust in God.

.

Instead, she merely wanted to do things by her own strength and under her own intellect and wisdom.

.

**Yes, in a very real sense, Eve was the very first Rosie-the-Riveter! She was the very first “I can do it” individual!**

“THE PRIDE OF LIFE”

But just what is it that causes all this attitude of, “I can do it”?

.

Well, perhaps the greatest motivator is pride. After all, we live in a world filled with the pride of life…“Love not the world…For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh…(and) eyes, AND THE PRIDE OF LIFE, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” 1st John 2:15, 16

.

**Here we have it! Pride is one of the three great sins of Mankind! Oh yes, there are other factors which contribute to our “I can do it” attitude, such as “unbelief in God’s promises”.**

“I (Lucifer) will exalt my throne above the stars of God”

But why we should be surprised that selfish human pride is perhaps the world’s greatest quality?

.

After all, Lucifer, now serving in the official role of, “Satan”, was cast out of Heaven because he too, like Eve, wanted to be like God. His proud heart was not content to be merely a worshiper of God, but to be worshiped and adored himself!

.

**And as “the god of this world”, Satan’s Antichrist spirit now indwells the inhabitants of this, his own proud and selfish little world.**

THE SIGNS OF HEAVEN

.

Well, our infinite God knows “the end from the beginning”. Isaiah 46:10

.

And long ago, on Creation Week, God inscribed the Gospel in picture form upon the black scroll of the night sky.

And just now, prior to the end, God is revealing this pictorial Gospel to the human race.

.

THE REVELATION 12 DRAGON

Now, if one looks at the Winter Constellations, a great dragon constellation can be seen.

And this dragon is a composite of various Bible passages, such as Revelation 12, which speaks of…“another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads…And…out of his mouth water as a flood…” Revelation 12:3, 15

.

7 HEADS OF ANTICHRIST BEAST = 7 STARS OF AURIGA CONSTELLATION

This Antichrist beast is described in the above passage as having 7 heads. But the Revelation 12 Dragon in the night-sky does not. And so, the question is, “Where are the 7 heads in this Revelation 12 Dragon Constellation?”

.

Simple! The wave of water coming out of the dragon’s mouth is comprised of 7 stars (plus three dim stars, #’s 8, 9, 10, at the very tip of the crest of this wave.)

.

And so, those 7 bright stars represent the 7 heads. And in tomorrow’s devotional, this parallel will be further explored.

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON

.

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” Revelation 12:3

.

**In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.**

.

But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.

.

The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7). And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10). So we have this 7 and 10 numbering. And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent. Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

THE TWO TURTLEDOVES CONSTELLATION

A most amazing and wonderful constellation appears in early spring in the south. It moves from east to west during the night and slowly moves to the western horizon by fall. It is commonly known as Sagittarius. (The three stars at the top of the 2nd Turtle-dove are not shown in some Sagittarius Star-charts, but are in others.)

TWO TURTLEDOVES IS ALSO THE ARK CONSTELLATION

.

But this constellation, if you look at it in the southern sky in springtime or summertime, you can also easily see it as two twin birds flying westward.

.

This Two Turtledoves Constellation is the same as, The Ark Constellation. This is an optical illusion. It can be seen in southern sky in early spring through fall, traveling from east to west throughout the night.

.

“And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.” Leviticus 5:7

.

This above passage from Leviticus really makes a concise statement, concerning this Two Turtledoves Constellation. Because in Scripture, they symbolized earthly poverty, yet spiritual richness.

This above verse lays down the law, that those who were too poor to offer a lamb, had the option to offer two turtledoves instead.

FORSAKING ALL TO BECOME HIS DISCIPLE

This amazing constellation teaches us many lessons. And one of those lessons is how the Bible commands us to come to Jesus…“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:33

.

Here is perhaps one of the hardest sayings in Scripture: that Christ requires a total heart-forsaking of all the glories, riches and vain pleasures of this selfish world, for anyone who wants to become His disciple!

Listen to how the disciples responded to the call of Jesus…“And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed Him.” Luke 5:11

But even though a follower of Jesus forsakes all, doesn’t mean that he or she is poor!

You see, only a True-Worshiper can understand what it means to be rich in Christ. Those who have “left all” to follow Jesus, have embarked on a pilgrimage which leads to eternal life and true riches. And having eternal life is worth more than all the riches this sin-darkened world could ever offer!

On the other hand, the Devil will offer us a religion which falsely promises both Heaven AND this World too! All such religion is worthless, and evil, as well! (see picture to the right)

No, God may not be calling us to literally give away everything we have.

But when we begin that upward heavenly journey, the things of this world begin to lose their luster and value, just like that old song…

This old little song really says it all! When we look full into the face of Jesus, the things of the world lose their hold on us! The things of the world just don’t mean so much anymore!

THE THIRD MOUNTAIN…CHOICE ‘C’…

“Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.” Jeremiah 51:25

These three mountains are called “The Valley of Decision Constellation Group”. The first two mountains on the left in this sketch are known are the Mounts of Blessing and Cursing, as found in Deuteronomy 27:11-26 & Chapter 28.

.

The valley between these two mountains is called the Valley of Decision, as is written… “Multitudes, multitudes in the Valley of Decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the Valley of Decision.” Joel 3:14.

.

The Valley of Decision is not a physical place, but a spiritual valley in which each person of the world will make up his or her mind, as to just whom they will serve: God or Satan; God’s kingdom or this world (Satan’s kingdom).

.

From the Mount of Blessing are heard all the blessings which result from serving God. From the Mount of Cursing are heard all the curses which result from disobedience to God’s will. And those in the valley will listen to both sides, and make up their minds, just who will they serve. A very simple choice, right? Wrong!

COUNTERFEIT KINGDOM

Now that this basic concept of the first two mountains (Blessings & Cursing) has been presented, it is time to take note of this third mountain; a counterfeit mountain.

.

Oh yes, such a simple choice of life or death is just far too easy for the Dragon (Satan) to accept. No, Satan’s main deception in this world is to create counterfeit “look-alike” alternatives; attractive choices. Satan really knows how to complicate and confuse the simplicity of the Gospel. Hence the name, Babylon, which means “City of Confusion” (Isaiah 24:10). A perfect and fitting name for Satan’s kingdom!

In Jeremiah 51:25, Babylon is referred to as “O Destroying Mountain”. It is the name of this counterfeit mountain. It is Satan’s kingdom, made up of all Satan’s followers, both humans and evil angels. Satan’s kingdom also includes this fallen world, with all its governments and ideologies. It is that great city…Babylon the Great! The world! Satan’s prison-house!

**In the July 26th devotional (click here), the eight arms of the Octopus were discussed, and how this sinister-looking creature is a fitting symbol of Satan.**

.

And it was discussed how the number, “8”, is the number of the kings of the Antichrist Beast of Revelation 13 & 17.

SPIDER’S 8 LEGS

.

But the Octopus isn’t the only evil-like creature with eight limbs. No, spiders also have eight legs, while most other insects only have six.

.

Yes, spiders are also a fitting symbol of Satan, as he weaves his deadly web of sin and deceit for the human race, but especially the Church!

.

And some spiders even wrap their victims in their silken cords, and inject a deadly paralyzing poison into the fly, which turns that six-legged bug into a pulpy liquid. Spiders are indeed a worthy comparison to Satan!

CAUGHT IN A WORLD-WIDE WEB OF SIN

The spider and his web are fitting symbols of this world. Yes, we live in a world of sin. And whether we know it or not, the entire world has been taken captive, just like the little fly, helplessly and hopelessly caught in a spider’s web.

.

Whether we are trapped in our lust, or in gluttony. Or whether we are a prisoner of our out-of-control emotions. Or perhaps we are addicted to some substance. Or we are consumed by our insatiable desires for more of this world’s treasures and pleasures, or some type of self-exaltation.

.

The fact is, Mankind has been taken captive by sin and Satan. This nonsense about man having free-will is just that: sheer nonsense, as is written…“…the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2nd Corinthians 4:4

.

OUR SAD CONDITION CLOUDED BY OUR FUNCTIONALITY

.

Nevertheless, this condition is often clouded by the fact that, for the most part, we can still function on a daily basis.

.

We work. We raise our family. We go on vacations. We have family get-togethers. We lay down at night and sleep. We laugh. We play our sports.

.

And so, it just isn’t always clearly seen that we are Satan’s prisoners of sin.

SELFISHNESS, THE BASIC QUALITY OF THE HEART

Nevertheless, selfishness is the basic condition of the human heart.

And nearly everything we do in life is permeated by that fundamental quality.

Listen…“All the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.” Ecclesiastes 6:7

Yes, everything we do is for our own self.

.

And yet, our selfish desires are never quenched.

Listen again, as Paul lays out our hopeless condition… “There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Romans 3:10-18

Here is the sad and tragic reality of the human condition. And though we may see ourselves as being moral and upright to a certain degree, it is just a facade, merely a thin outer veneer.

“TO PREACH DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES”

The fact is, we are hopeless slaves of desire. In one way or another, each of us are held captive in Satan’s web of selfishness, and are unable to break free!

And yet, there is great hope!

Yes, Jesus came to set us free! This is the Good News of the Gospel!

JESUS CAME TO SET US FREE!

Yes, Jesus came to set the captives free!

No more must we live as prisoners of sin and selfishness! No longer must we die this slow death which is guaranteed to all humans. Jesus came to break our bands asunder! He came to show us the way of truth and love! He came as a loving shepherd to lead us out of this dark world of death and woe, and into the Promised Land: a land flowing with milk and honey! A land in which all sickness and suffering will be forever vanquished. A land in which the shadow of death shall never again darken our paths.

.

No more will we be slaves to our selfish desires. But all of our paths will shine brighter and brighter as we ascend out of this dark sin-cursed earth, and onward and upward to that land that is fairer than day!

And there in that Promised Land, we shall live…forever happy, and forever young!

Satan’s Number “8”

Most insects have six legs. And for those who have curious minds, the question comes down: “Why do most insects have six legs?”

.

Well, scientists might attempt to give some scientific explanation for why.

.

But the question might also be asked: “Why does the spider have eight legs?”

.

And again, scientists may have a complicated answer for that question too!

SIX: THE NUMBER OF MAN

.

But for the Creationist, the answer is simple. The number six is the number of Man. And the number eight is the number of Satan.

.

And so, that is why spiders catch little bugs in their nets, and not the other way around. Because the spider web is a perfect illustration of Satan’s snares, which he uses to catch the souls of men.

THE BEAST & THE DRAGON

Now, just look at the Bible, and you will see this number eight being used to describe Satan.

.

Listen… “And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads (of the Antichrist beast) are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is THE EIGHTH, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.” Revelation 17:9-11

So here is the Antichrist Beast. And his seven heads represent seven mountains, and seven kings. But the Beast himself is the eighth.

And of course, this beast is made in image of the Revelation 12 Dragon. And so, the Beast and the Dragon are made in the same image!

JESUS EXPLAINS THE NUMBER, “8”

.

OK, so what is the significance of the number eight? Just what spiritual truth does the number eight represent?

.

Perhaps a parabolic truth which Jesus told the Pharisees will make these things more clear.

.

Listen… “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he comes, he finds it swept and garnished. Then goes he, and takes to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.” Luke 11:24-26

.

NUMBER “7”, A RELIGIOUS NUMBER

.

So, this little illustration presents a great big truth. Yes, Jesus was telling the Pharisees this account, so as to illustrate how Satan can take some secular person and turn him into a much more evil person.

.

And this story was given to the Pharisees to illustrate their very own condition! When a person is merely an abject unbeliever, he only has one evil spirit: an unclean spirit at that! But should that same man become religious, but with no true conversion, then Satan moves back in, bringing seven more religious devils with him (not literally 7 more devils, but figuratively)! And now the man was far worse off than when he was merely a worldling!

.

Now he is a religious man, symbolized by the addition of 7 devils. Oh yes, he is still unconverted! But Satan has now given him a form of godliness, but with merely a counterfeit “holy spirit”! He’s now a moralist!

.

And so, this is the big point of the number eight. It is 7 + 1. Satan plus his counterfeit religiosity, represented by God’s number of spiritual rest, “7”.

CUTTLEFISH: THE ULTIMATE IMPOSTORS!

.

One of the most amazing creatures ever created is the Cuttlefish! This amazing creature…“has eight arms, and two tentacles furnished with denticulated suckers, with which they secure their prey.” (Info provided by Wikipedia)

The reason why this creature is so incredible, is that whatever the Cuttlefish passes over, it instantly begins to change into the same color and shape, of that undersea object!

.

And so, its enemies cannot easily detect the camouflaged Cuttlefish!

CUTTLEFISH: SYMBOL OF SATAN

Well, God has created this little eight-arm predator to give us further insight into the inner working of the kingdom of Satan.

(As this little 26 second video below shows, the Cuttlefish has the ability to paralyze his potential victims, by using his hypnotizing strobe-light effect! Amazing!)

Certainly Satan and his unseen minions love to make themselves invisible! And then with strobe-like flashes Satanic forces mesmerize us with the glittering tinsel-like treasures and earthy pleasures!

This is the manner in which, they can deceptively work their misery and woe upon this unsuspecting world!

Yes, without Satan’s deceptions and mesmerizing allurements, the world’s inhabitants would become alarmed, which would cause us to rebel against Satan’s kingdom, as we flee to God for refuge and safety!

SATAN WORKS UNDERCOVER

Now, God has created this amazing creature’s camouflaging abilities, to illustrate how Satan works undercover within the Church!

Listen… “And then shall that Wicked be revealed…Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,” 2nd Thessalonians 2:8, 9 (condensed)

As this above passage reveals, Satan will counterfeit the workings of God, to deceive God’s people, until the day he is revealed to God’s Elect!

THE FIVE FOOLISH VIRGINS STARS

.

A new constellation has been revealed, as of about May 29th, 2014. This constellation appears as a snake. Its body is comprised of stars from the Bootes Constellation, and its jaws are made of the four stars which Babylonians saw as the head of Draco, the Dragon. It also has a small single star for an eye.

.

Now in this constellation is a group of five stars, which will be called “The Five Foolish Virgins Stars”. These are located on the opposite side of the Glorious Crown of 12 Stars, from the Five Wise Virgins Stars. But one big difference between the two is, that The Five Wise are curved around the Glorious Crown, while the Five Foolish are curved away from it!

This above well-known parable has great spiritual meaning.

.

But it can also apply to everyday situations.

“GOD IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS”

Now of course, the Parable of the Good Samaritan teaches us that even those who are secular can perform good works and acts of compassion as did that man from Samaria.

Yes, that most infamous of all parables reveals, as the Apostle Peter put it, that “God is no respecter of persons.” Acts 10:34

.

The people of God in that day considered Samaritans to be nothing more than heathen dogs. And yet, this heathen showed more Christianity than the very ones who were reputed to be God’s representatives on earth!

This above proverb has a real-life application as we see so many needy people begging.

Perhaps we might slip some dollars into a Bible tract and give it with a sincere smile. That money means so much more to those needy ones, than it does to us.

We just have no idea at all how greatly God and His angelic host intercede into the everyday affairs of humanity.

Oh yes, we do know that “God is love”, and that, “He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” (see 1st John 4:8, 16 & Matthew 5:45)

.

And so, as we look around at the world and see the many acts of kindness, mercy, and even heroism performed by secular unbelievers, it doesn’t necessarily seem to fall into the category of, “a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:” 2nd Timothy 3:5

Many people are dismayed, upset, and perplexed, all because it seems as if destructive forces are breaking down and tearing apart the very backbone and fabric of this society.

Even our school systems are becoming lawless by their very wicked policy of grooming small children, encouraging them to embrace sexual perversion.

.

Our government is rapidly bringing itself into financial ruin because of excess spending and endless borrowing.

.

And much of the populace no longer cares for the rule of law, but some are even beginning to engage in mob rule, and occasionally even mob violence!

Many judges no longer rule impartially, but according to politics and political correctness.

Many will begin a project around the house which requires obtaining a building permit of some kind, and ignore those requirements because of cost and inconvenience.

Well, there are many areas of life in which we have broken the laws.

And why has this happened?

Simple! The fear of God is no longer restraining most people. Yes, there is a lack of healthy fear in these atheistic societies for this world’s Divine Lawgiver!

God is removing the restraints from Mankind. And that decadent society opens its floodgates to corruption and lawlessness.

And that is what we are now seeing in this society!

What must be done is, for any man, woman, or child, who desires to escape the awful judgments of God, to turn away from our own individual lawlessness, and pray for God’s chastening Hand to purify us from our iniquity! This is our only hope!

Listen…“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God…Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.” James 4:4, 8-10

Here is the prescribed remedy for our backsliding ways!

And this is not just some 24 hour work! No this is a prescription for a lifetime! And it will be our joy to enter into this type of relationship with our Lord. Yes, repentance is a joyful work, even though it may be mingled with many tears, even as it is written by Paul in 2nd Corinthians 6:10…“As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing…”

Look eastward in the early summer through fall. Find the Cassiopeia Constellation. Cassiopeia is the Mount of Blessing. In the sketch, it is the farthest mountain to the left. In the sky, it is the northern-most of these three mountains when facing eastward. It resembles a pyramid.

Then find the second pyramid to its right (south).

Then go a little further south to the next third pyramid. The third snow-cap is the Destroying Mountain Constellation.

These three pyramids are the snow-capped portion of these three mountains in this sketch. (of course, you won’t see the snow-caps in the sky. They are just an embellishment in this sketch to present a concept-EDITOR).

THE VALLEY OF DECISION CONSTELLATION GROUP.

They appear in mid-summer in the eastern skies in pre-dawn hours. These are made of Cassiopeia (mount on left), and various stars from the Andromeda Constellation (valley) Pegasus (Mount of Cursing (middle mount) & Destroying Mount (right)), and Pisces (Broad Way to Hell). The galaxy which appears to be climbing the Mountain of Blessing is the Andromeda Galaxy.

OUR SOLAR SYSTEM’S GREATEST METAPHOR

Yes, our Sun happens to be this solar-system’s largest metaphor concerning the Gospel. And it allegorically represents the greatest truth in all the universe and beyond: That Jesus Christ is “the light of the world”!

And as we consider the many wonderful (and even fearful) aspects of the Sun, we can gain a greater understanding of just who is this majestic Being who came to this world long ago, and gave Himself for our redemption!

1st ORB: THE SUN = 1ST COMMANDMENT

“Thou shall have no other gods before Me”

.

One great clue that if the Sun would correspond to the First Commandment, “You shall have no other gods before Me”, is that the names which Mankind has given to the planets, all named after pagan gods: Saturn, Mars, Jupiter, etc… are all names of ancient pagan deities. Then begin to relate the Sun corresponding to the first Commandment… “You shall have no other gods before Me”, which just so happens to be surrounded by planets named after pagan gods! It would seem that God has allowed Mankind (under the influence of “the god of this world“, of course) to name these planets after pagan gods, in order to make a very poignant statement: that statement being, that we citizens of this planet are in rebellion against God, therefore, we have other gods. And just as those planets (named after pagan gods) encircle the Sun (The Sun representing God many times in the Bible), so too this human race has placed our affections on other things: our time, energy, and affections, which should have been only given to our Creator/Savior. So God has set up this solar system to present this concept of the Sun (Christ) being surrounded by our many other gods (i.e., the 9 planets, named after pagan gods).

FOOLISH HUMAN PRIDE

Now, as the saying goes, we’ve already gotten ourselves into some “very tall weeds” in this devotional. Yes, these are very complex concepts, to say the least! An entire book could be written on this subject.

.

Nevertheless, for the sake of brevity, we will simply skip over to the topic of foolish human pride, and how it relates to the 1st head of the beast, and likewise to the 1st of the 7 stars in the dragon constellation’s wave of water (mostly comprised of the Auriga Constellation).

THE GREAT IMAGE OF NEBUCHADNEZZAR: “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?”

Daniel 4:30

When Daniel interpreted King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream about a great statue, the symbol of the world’s ruling kingdoms throughout history, the first king depicted was Nebuchadnezzar himself, corresponding to the head of gold.

.

Of course, the head of a person rules over his entire body. And so, the proud King Nebuchadnezzar was ultimately what this great statue image was all about: Human pride!

.

And Nebuchadnezzar was all about pride, foolish human pride! After all, King Nebuchadnezzar had built his glorious kingdom of Babylon, with all its grandeur: gardens and architectural wonders and wine, women, and song! And Nebuchadnezzar was proud of his accomplishments.

.

He took full credit for all his accomplishments, not realizing that it was actually God who had empowered Nebuchadnezzar to attain to all those achievements.

WE’RE JUST LIKE NEBUCHADNEZZAR!

And isn’t it true that we humans follow closely in Nebuchadnezzar’s footsteps?

.

Yes, we often pat ourselves on the back for our own personal accomplishments too, don’t we?

.

Pride is a very great motivator!

.

It is the fuel which drives much of this world’s business engine!

.

It inspires nations and kings to rise up in power!

.

It causes individuals to strive for excellence (and riches and power) in many endeavors!

.

It encourages much of the sports world, as well as most any type of competition!

.

And pride drives much of the entertainment world, as well!

.

And it can cause people to beautify their homes, and gardens, and lands, and even themselves, all in effort to impress the neighbors and all who drive by or visit!

.

And pride can even motivate unsaved individuals to become humanitarians, giving their time, energy, and means to various philanthropic causes (often holding back enough wealth to still live in luxury)!

.

Yes, human pride is perhaps the world’s greatest motivator!

GOOD NEWS! A WAY OF ESCAPE NOW AVAILABLE!

Well, there is Good News amidst all this negativity. Yes, any man, woman, or child who desires to throw off this proud Luciferian spirit and become ruled over by Christ’s meek and lowly Spirit can cry out to Him for deliverance. God is just waiting for any soul who is willing to renounce this proud and selfish world.

.

And Jesus calls out to each of us…“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

.

Yes, Jesus offers us the Spirit of meekness and lowliness, just as He is meek and lowly.

7 HEADS, 10 HORNS, & 7 CROWNS OF THE DRAGON

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.” Revelation 12:3

.

**In Revelation, the Dragon of Revelation 12 is described as having seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. However, the Dragon Constellation up in the night sky does not.**

.

But God has faithfully created the wave of water, in such a way, as to illustrate this same concept of the seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns. Because this wave of water is basically composed of ten stars.

.

The main body of the wave has seven stars (#‘s, 1 thru 7). And the tip of the crest of the wave has the other three stars (#’s, 8, 9 & 10). So we have this 7 and 10 numbering. And this gives us a great clue, as to where in the Bible we should look, to find out the riddle as to just what or who do these 7 heads, 10 crowns, and 7 horns represent. Because, the Bible speaks very much about floods and waters as being associated with Satan (the Dragon).

Well, it wasn’t long until that movement went the way of almost every movement.

And the world returned back to its normal push-and-shove ways, now even more skeptical of any so-called, “peace and love” rhetoric.

Now, just a quick examination of today’s world and one might conclude that God is presently withdrawing his protection away from this “planet-in-rebellion”!

The pure hatred in politics is rising to new heights on a daily basis!

The threats (and actual misdeeds) of physical violence are getting a bit scary, to say the least!

“AND THE NATIONS WERE ANGRY!”

Now all this hatred and violence reminds us of the prophecy found in Revelation…“And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, the time of the dead, that they should be judged…” Revelation 11:18

Truly, the nations are angry!

And this is a great sign that our Judgment Day has verily begun!

THE REVELATION 13 FALSE PROPHET

.

Now of course, most all false prophets must appear to be kindly and loving. Otherwise, it would be very difficult to gather followers. And it is written that the Revelation 13 False Prophet has “two horns like a lamb”. Revelation 13:11

.

In other words, this above verse reveals that this Revelation 13 False Prophet will be a counterfeit of the Lamb of God, Jesus!
