BABYLON, THE HARLOT CHURCH!

For those who have discovered that the Bible is a totally spiritual revelation of the Gospel, they know that the City of Babylon actually represents the world and the worldly portion of the Church, the Mystery Harlot of Revelation 17.

Now, let’s take a moment to discover how we have been drinking of Babylon’s poisonous wine…

THE MORNING AFTER

.

Was there ever a time when you got drunk?

.

Well, if you did, you probably also remember waking up the next morning, cringing at the memory of how you made such a complete and utter fool of yourself, that previous night!

.

Well, the Bible speaks of drunkenness. Listen to Solomon’s description of a drunkard… “Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.” Proverbs 23:29-32 (condensed, but to read entire quote, click here)

This is only half of Solomon’s description. But you get the point! Drunkenness is not a good thing, especially when considering how addictive it is!

SOLOMON: THE WISEST of FOOLS!

.

Now, speaking of Solomon, as we all know, he fell away from God, and did many foolish things!

.

Yes, Solomon, the world’s wisest man, actually became the world’s biggest fool during those years of his apostasy!

.

But God ultimately sobered Solomon up, spiritually speaking.

.

And once his eyes were finally re-opened, he realized his own great foolishness!

.

DRUNK WITH THE WORLD!

.

And speaking of spiritual drunkenness, just listen to Isaiah, as he relays God’s anger toward His own professed people… “they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink. For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath He covered.” Isaiah 29:9, 10

.

Here above, it is revealed that God had given His people the spirit of drunkenness. God closed their eyes, and caused them to fall into spiritual slumber.

THE WINE OF BABYLON

.

And the fact is, we New Testament Believers have been taken captive by spiritual Babylon. And we too have been drunken, spiritually!

.

Listen to God’s description of this spiritual harlot, Babylon… “Come hither; I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore…With whom the kings of the earth…have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication…And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Revelation 17:1, 2, 5

This harlot woman is God’s chosen symbol of the apostate portion of the Church. And she is spoken of as a city (Babylon).

OUR LEADERS HAVE DECEIVED US!

.

But God calls upon Believers to, “Come out of her, My people!”

.

And once the repentant Believer does come out of her, we will sober up spiritually, and realize, like Solomon, that we too have behaved like fools.

.

Yes, like fools we have, “lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; we have nourished our hearts, as in a day of slaughter.” James 5:5

FALSE SHEPHERDS

.

 The fact is, Satan has been coming through his “ministers of righteousness” (see 2nd Corinthians 11:15), and presenting a gospel, so close to the true Gospel, “that if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I (Jesus) have told you before.” Matthew 24:24, 25

.

Yes, Jesus has pre-warned us, as this above verse reveals! He pre-warned us that Satan will attempt to deceive, if possible, even the Elect people of God!

.

GOOD NEWS! DELIVERANCE FOR THE CAPTIVES!

Listen to this fearful passage… “Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine: Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of His people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of My fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:” Isaiah 51:21, 22  

.

Well, as this above passage reveals, there will be deliverance for spiritual drunkards!

.

And the Good News is, that once we do flee out of the midst of spiritual Babylon, we won’t ever want to go back! 

.

And once we do sober up, we will never want to fall back into that wretched spiritual condition ever again!

.

“WE WERE LIKE THEM THAT DREAM!”

And when He does release us from that captivity, God’s people will say... “When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream! Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, ‘The LORD hath done great things for them!’ The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad!” Psalm 126:1-3.

Yes, we have finally arrived at that day when God is ready to release us from our captivity. But the question to be answered is, “Am I ready and willing to come out of her?”

THE PLEIADES: MYSTERY HARLOT, AND CAPTIVE ANGEL

GOD’S PEOPLE TAKEN CAPTIVE

.

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her (Babylon), My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4 

.

God has a people in Babylon. Yes, Mystery Babylon is the Mother of Harlots. The sketch to the left shows her riding this beast with 7 heads and 10 horns.

But in that spiritual city, there are those who still love God to a certain degree. And before the final plagues are poured out upon her, God has been and will continue to call His people out of her…

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her (Babylon), my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

.

And so in addition to The Pleiades appearing as the Harlot Mother, we also see this second depiction of The Pleiades as an angel, which symbolizes God’s people, walking the downward pathway to destruction. They must be called out of Babylon before it’s too late!

“COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE!”

.

But there is coming a day (and now is), when God will call His people out of the local congregations, reminding us of when He called His people out of the synagogues, some 2,000 years ago.

.

But this call has been somewhat written in veiled language.

.

Listen to this call… “Babylon the great is fallen…Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:1, 4

.

“NOT FORSAKING THE ASSEMBLING”

.

God’s people have attempted to congregate together for 2,000 years, in obedience to the command… “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

.

And so, the Church was commanded to congregate together, and, “so much the more, as ye see the day approaching!”

AS WE SEE, WHAT DAY APPROACHING?

.

Yes, the Church was commanded to congregate together, and, “so much the more, as ye see the day approaching!”

.

But the question to be asked is this: “As we see WHAT day approaching?”

.

Well, the general consensus is, that Christ’s Return is the day approaching! But prior to Christ’s Return comes the day which Habakkuk foretold… “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:2, 3

.

Yes, prior to Christ’s Coming is the day which Habakkuk foretold of in which we are to “RUN!”

A GOOD WAY OUT!

.

But has that day arrived, when the wicked surround the righteous?

.

Are the unbelieving people of the world demanding to educate Christian children? And are Christian children glued to their high-tech devices? Has the television become the centerpiece of our homes?

.

Now, someone will undoubtedly say… “Well, God tells us that we cannot come out of the world!”

.

Oh yes it’s true, we cannot come entirely out of the world! But we can indeed come a good way out, if we choose to do so! 

.

.

.

.

.

“BE YE SEPARATE!”

.

The fact is, Satan’s false shepherds have been deceiving God’s people, by telling us to develop personal relationships with unbelievers, as a means of evangelizing them.

.

But more often than not, the only one who gets evangelized is that naive Christian who becomes worldly-minded as a result of such forbidden relationships!

.

Listen to Paul’s warning to be separate from all such mixed relationships… “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?…Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord…” 2nd Corinthians 6:14, 17, 18 (condensed)

.

God is now calling His people to come out of the Babylonish church-world.

.

After 2,000 years of mingling together, we can now see that Satan’s ability to corrupt God’s people is far too easy, when we congregate together with false brethren and unbelievers.

“COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE!”

But now, we have a command from the Lord… “Come, My people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” Isaiah 26:20

.

This above passage seems to go against all God’s previous advice to, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

.

RIPE FOR JUDGMENT!

The earth is ripe for Judgment!

.

Iniquity abounds, everywhere we look! The churches no longer tolerate sound doctrine!

.

Instead of wholeheartedly seeking to die-with-Christ, the church is greatly distracted by seeking earthly prosperity and pleasure! (For an in-depth study into the apostasy within the church-world, read, “Fleeing to the Mountains: The Abomination in the Church, Part 1”)

.

As this not-very-funny cartoon shows, is a typical Christian, all caught up in the cares and pleasures of life, totally oblivious of the impending destruction coming!

Listen to this following warning given by Jesus… “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.” Luke 21:34-36

VERY VERY GOOD NEWS!

.

But the very Good News is, that the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the true Church (God’s Elect dispersed throughout the world!)

.

No, God has determined that we are to finally come out of Babylon!

.

Listen… “And he (the angel) cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen…And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, ‘Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.'” Revelation 18:2, 4

.

So here is the call to God’s people to come out of Babylon.

.

And from what has already been discussed, we must begin the work of heart purification, which we have long neglected! But by God’s great mercy and grace, we are assured the victory, if we, “faint not”!

DOUBLE ENTENDRE OF REVELATION 12 WOMAN

.

“For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the Church: and He is the Savior of the body.” Ephesians 5:23

.

This page concerns the constellation which is commonly known as “The Big Dipper” and the “Great Bear”. It actually appears in the summer months as a woman travailing in child-birth. God has purposely given her no head. But God did this to present a very important concept.

.

Yes, this woman represents the Church, the, “Jerusalem above, which is free, and is the mother of us all” (see Galatians 4:26).

.

You see, the single star she is giving birth to typifies the Christ child. Reading in Ephesians that Christ is the “head” of the Church, this single star is logically going to become her head. But how will that be accomplished? .

.

WOMAN FLIPS AROUND IN WINTER

.

Now, if this Woman-in-Travail were all that the Lord created in the heavens, it would be nothing short of amazing! But God, in His infinite power and majesty, has made this a great sign in Heaven, just as Revelation 12 proclaims. Because as the summer passes, this constellation begins to slowly flip around, until the stars representing her arms now become her legs. And the stars that once represented her legs now become her arms.  And finally, it appears as the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12. And at that point, this single little star in her womb-area, representing the Christ-child, now becomes her head! And of course, this reminds us of the passage… “And He (Christ) is the head of the body, the Church…” Colossians 1:18.

ONE ROTTEN APPLE

.

Have you ever heard the proverb, “One rotten apple spoils the barrel”?

.

Well, quite often, the world sees metaphors in nature, like this one about apples.

.

And it’s true, that one rotten apple contaminates the other apples in a barrel of apples!

.

And this truth applies very well to how Satan has successfully spoiled God’s people, throughout the history of the Church.

.

And even back in Old Testament times, the Enemy of Souls has used this technique to destroy the people of God!

THORNS IN YOUR SIDES

.

One of the greatest themes in the Bible, is the command from God to destroy the heathen from out of the Promised Land.

.

Listen to God’s warning to His people… “But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell. Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.” Numbers 33:55, 56

.

God knew just how important it was for His people to keep themselves separated from the sinful influences of the heathen cultures.

.

And this above warning becomes one of the signature passages which explains much of the Old Testament.

SATAN’S ‘MINISTERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS’

.

Satan knows how easy it is to infect God’s people with his corrupting influences, merely by infiltrating the body of Christ with false brethren.

.

Listen to Paul’s warning about Satan sophistry… “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2nd Corinthians 11:13-15

.

This above passage reveals how Satan destroys God’s people from within!

He merely brings in false brethren into God’s house, bringing their world-loving ways into the Church, causing “wrong judgment” to proceed forth! (Habakkuk 1:4)

THE WICKED ENCOMPASS BELIEVERS

.

Listen to the Prophet, Habakkuk, as he declares a prophecy for the last days… “Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.” Habakkuk 1:4

.

This above vision of Habakkuk is a vision for this very hour in which we now are in!

.

And God answers Habakkuk, telling him to… “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:2, 3

As this above passage reveals, there is coming a time when Habakkuk’s vision will begin to speak.

And at that hour, God counsels us to, “RUN!”

MANY PASTORS DESTROYED MY VINEYARD

“Many pastors have destroyed My vineyard, they have trodden My portion under foot, they have made My pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.” Jeremiah 12:10

For 2,000 years, the Church has been over-run by false brethren, who have spoiled God’s vineyard!

.

The Church has been in a diseased condition for most of the past 2,000 years. The only time the Church has stood faithful, was during times of heavy persecution from the false, apostate church-system of Europe, when it was not safe to be a true, Bible-believing Christian. During those times, most potential false brethren wanted little to do with God’s people.

.

But whenever the world “made peace” with the Church, Satan moved his wolves-in-sheep’s-clothing back into the local congregations.

“COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE!”

.

But there is coming a day (and now is), when God will call His people out of the local congregations.

.

But this call has been somewhat written in veiled language.

.

Listen to this somewhat veiled call… “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird…Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:1, 4

.

Here, God commands His people to make an end-time exodus away from all the confusion and deception that now ensnares today’s church-world.

AS WE SEE, ‘WHAT DAY APPROACHING?’

But how could God give such a command when He has already laid down the following rule for His people… “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching”? Hebrews 10:25

.

Well, the answer to this question is found in the following words from this passage…“but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching!”

And so, the question now becomes, “As we see WHAT day approaching?”

DOUBLE ENTENDRE OF REVELATION 12 WOMAN

.

“For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the Church: and He is the Savior of the body.” Ephesians 5:23

.

This page concerns the constellation which is commonly known as “The Big Dipper” and the “Great Bear”. It actually appears in the summer months as a woman travailing in child-birth. God has purposely given her no head. But God did this to present a very important concept.

Yes, this woman represents the Church, the, “Jerusalem above, which is free, and is the mother of us all” (see Galatians 4:26).

.

You see, the single star she is giving birth to typifies the Christ child. Reading in Ephesians that Christ is the “head” of the Church, this single star is logically going to become her head. But how will that be accomplished? .

WOMAN FLIPS AROUND IN WINTER

.

Now, if this Woman-in-Travail were all that the Lord created in the heavens, it would be nothing short of amazing! But God, in His infinite power and majesty, has made this a great sign in Heaven, just as Revelation 12 proclaims. Because as the summer passes, this constellation begins to slowly flip around, until the stars representing her arms now become her legs. And the stars that once represented her legs now become her arms.  And finally, it appears as the Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12. And at that point, this single little star in her womb-area, representing the Christ-child, now becomes her head! And of course, this reminds us of the passage… “And He (Christ) is the head of the body, the Church…” Colossians 1:18.

Wake-up Call, 911!

What were you doing on the morning of the 911 attacks?

.

Well, one thing is for certain, when 911 occurred, the world was awakened out of our slumber! And most Americans remember their exact circumstances, when the news was announced regarding the fall of the Twin Towers. 

.

And the great irony to that event, was that it happened on 911, which is the universal emergency phone-call number in the United States!

.

Well, that event had its effects. And in the weeks, even months following, church attendance skyrocketed!

.

People were very nervous about the fate of the world. And rightfully so!

.

ANOTHER 911 WAKE-UP CALL

.

Now about that time, a very curious event happened, which most people are not aware of.

.

You see, some months prior to 911, one world-wide Christian radio network began to announce that, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen” was concerning the fallen apostate condition of the churches around the world.

.

And this very large radio network, which was broadcast in dozens of languages around the world, announced that it was time to, “Come out of her, My people!”

.

Yes, it was announced that the condition of the local congregations, now void of the Holy Spirit,  had deteriorated to the point that God was calling His people out of those organizations, and simply to worship at home. And so, when this, “Come out of her, My people” announcement was broadcast, several months prior to 911, it had that much more of an effect upon those people who had been listening to that radio station.

So what’s the point to all this?

WHERE’S THE EVIDENCE?

The point is, that God is faithful. And if it truly is the time to, “Come out of her, My people”, then there should be some real glaring evidences that the local congregations have become void of the Holy Spirit.

Correct?

God should be giving us a definite sign that the churches are no longer being used by God.

“EARTHLY, SENSUAL, AND DEVILISH”

James 3:15

Well, this little devotional will not attempt to give all the evidences that the churches are fallen. This is just one of many other revealing articles! But perhaps just one example of the apostasy can be focused on today.

.

For instance, have you noticed that the churches are bringing in sensual music into their worship service? Have you noticed that the way that today’s “worship” music is performed, has a real earthy and sensual sound to it? And the singers will quite often strain their voices to give a kind of, “bedroom effect” to their vocals? Like the proverbial, “sexy sax”.

.

Well, this is no accident! They are merely imitating today’s music of the world! Yes, the world has rubbed off on the Christian community to a certain extent! One radio commentator put it like this: “Today’s churches are just downstream from the world, and what happens in the world will soon wind up in the churches.”

.

FISHING LURES & ALLURING FISH

“Well, so what’s wrong with a little worldliness in our worship!?!”, comes back the resounding objection to we, the critics, from those who wish to defend the current pop culture within today’s churches.

.

Well, look at it this way. Most every fisherman knows that one lure works well for one kind of fish. But for another kind of fish, he must use another kind of lure.

.

And so it is with music. One kind of music genre will attract one type of listener, while another type of music will attract another type of listener.

.

ALLURING WOMEN

.

Now the same principle applies to the way that women dress.

.

They have done studies which prove that the same woman, wearing alluring clothing, make-up, etc., will attract far more “wolves”, than when she wore very modest clothing. Of course, this is such basic common sense, that it’s ludicrous to even feel the need to pay for, or even do such a study!

.

Of course, women who wear alluring clothes to church, are no doubt, desiring to be admired by the handsome young men in the congregation. And that may happen!

.

But whether she likes it or not, she is also causing the wolves in the room to lust after her!

USING WRONG KINDS OF LURES

.

And the fact is, when a church begins to use sensual music and allows women to dress in alluring attire, guess what?

.

That’s right! They are using the WRONG kind of bait in the hope of catching the RIGHT kind of fish!

.

And they will be attracting false brethren, wolves in sheep’s clothing, into their congregation! Or, to keep our metaphors straight, they’re catching the wrong kinds of fish!

.

And once you begin to bring in false brethren, your church is going to become apostate very rapidly!

.

And in addition, those churches which allow sensuality into their worship services, will begin to have problems with adultery and fornication, and other fleshy sins among their parishioners, and/or among the clergy!

“COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE!”

So just how does this all tie in with 911?

.

Simple! God is allowing these types of changes to occur within the churches, to give us a wake-up call: a 911, if you will! In other words, if you are seeing these kinds of changes beginning to occur within your congregation, then perhaps God is giving you a wake-up call to, “Come out of her My people!”

.

As society continues its rapid moral decline, so are the local congregations! And this above verse continues by saying, “Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

.

As this above verse warns, if we refuse to come out of the adulterous churches, there is a curse which follows, “that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

OUR OWN WAKE-UP CALL

.

And so, God may have allowed Satan to bring those 911 attacks, to be a wake-up call for His people, to “get ready!”

.

But the apostasy WITHIN the churches assures us that He is giving us a dramatic 911 wake-up call to, “Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues!”

.

A PLACE OF REFUGE!

.

The Good News to all this, is found in Isaiah Chapter 30… “And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.” Isaiah 30:25

.

Now this above verse speaks of that day of the great slaughter, “when the towers fall”. And those towers are not just the Twin Towers in NYC!

.

No, “towers” is just another name for the churches and denominations which have likewise fallen, in a spiritual sense…“Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.” Psalm 48:12

.

This above verse is actually speaking of the towers in heavenly Jerusalem…“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels…” Hebrews 12:22

.

And so, by “comparing spiritual things with spiritual”, we see the spiritual meaning of “towers”. 1st Corinthians 2:13

“ITCHING EARS” GOSPELS

.

Yes, the day has arrived in which the Apostle, Paul foretells of total apostasy in the church-world…“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2nd Timothy 4:3, 4

.

This above passage speaks of the day when the towers (churches) are fallen.

.

A day of church-wide apostasy!

RIVERS OF LIVING WATERS

.

But the great news is, that even though we must flee from these congregations, we have the assurance that there will be, “rivers and streams of (living) waters”, on those spiritual hills and mountains!

.

In other words, we must not be afraid to vacate the churches! For God will supply abundant rivers of living waters, even in our very own living room, or wherever else we may have to be in the next few years!

.

As a matter of fact, as Jesus puts it… “He that believes on Me (Jesus), as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38

.

Yes, my dear darling soul, be still and know that God will cause each genuine Christian to become the fountain-head of living waters, gushing out from us, far beyond what any of us can now comprehend!

REVELATION 12 FLEEING WOMAN CONSTELLATION

.

WOMAN ROTATES THROUGH THE SEASONS…

.

This page is about the Big Dipper, also called the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major ). However, the ancient pagan cultures did not see this constellation as God intended it to be seen. It is actually a headless woman in childbirth.  This is seen in springtime. It is seen in the northern skies. 

.

But as the seasons progress, this travailing woman flips upside down, now appearing as a woman with upraised arms like eagle wings who is running (eventually flying, as shown in sketch on right) into the wilderness (westward). The single star representing her birth-child (Christ) now becomes her head (“Christ is the head of the church.” Ephesians 5:23

.

.

 

The 7 Stars (Big Dipper) is easy to see with its very bright 7 stars.

.

But the Revelation 12 Woman (Ursa Major) must be seen on a dark starry night, away from city lights.
