Sodom Rising!

When Abraham’s nephew, Lot, was given first choice, he lifted up his eyes and beheld the rich and fertile countryside compassing about the wicked cities of Sodom. And so, the rest is history!

While Abraham took his family up to the less-fertile and less-populated hill country, Lot took his family to live near the great opulence and decadence of Sodom.

SODOM  ALL OVER AGAIN!

.

Now, we seem to have a similar situation today. Scripture has foretold… “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodoma, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” Luke 17:28-30

EATING, DRINKING, PLANTING, BUILDING

.

Well, to a great extent, Christians today have joined together with unbelievers in the pursuit of “unrighteous Mammon”. (luke 16:11)

.

And just like the citizens of Sodom, we’ve been eating and drinking, planting and building, instead of wholeheartedly engaging ourselves in the work of soul regeneration! 

.

And now, all of a sudden, Sodom is rising up all around us! Yes, we have been taken by surprise, seeing the abominations of Sodom now becoming the norm. Even the government schools are beginning to teach that the ways of Sodom are an acceptable lifestyle! Unbelievable? Yes, and very tragic as well!

PANDEMIC SITUATION

.

But all we need to do, is to take note of the similarity between this modern-day opulence and hedonism, being exactly what caused the downfall of Sodom & Gomorrah!

.

And, it is the same opulence and hedonism which caused the downfall of other great societies, too!

.

But now we are at the end of all things! Our problem is not confined to just one society! This is a pandemic situation! A world-wide phenomenon!

.

But we should not be surprised! After all, the Book of Romans warns us… “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:” Romans 1:24.

.

As this above passage reveals, it is when God gives a society up to their wickedness, that such perversions are the result!

.

FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS

Matthew 24:15, 16

.

Now, in the Genesis account, the day finally came when Lot was warned to, “escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed!” Genesis 19:17. Yes, the day ultimately arrived when God was ready to pour out His fire and fury upon Sodom and its surrounding cities.

.

And so, God is now allowing Satan to create a similar situation in the world. And the call is just now going out to God’s people… “escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed!”

.

But what are we to do? Where are we to flee? After all, this modern-day society does not permit people to merely homestead anymore! And it seems that God has given up the entire world!

.

So just how are we to escape with our children from the destructive forces which are enveloping around us and around our families?

.

Listen to Luke’s admonition… “In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot’s wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.” Luke 17:31-33

REMEMBER LOT’S WIFE!

.

Notice that it says in the above passage… “Remember Lot’s wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.” Luke 17:32, 33

.

Remember what Mrs. Lot did? She looked back, didn’t she? She looked back at her opulent life! She already missed her comfortable and selfish lifestyle of wandering through the richly adorned malls, restaurants and materialistic market places which catered to the every whim of the local citizenry of that opulent city of selfishness!

.

Both she and her husband dreaded the supposed austere existence which awaited them on that mountain. But if only they had considered that Uncle Abraham and Aunt Sarah had a wonderful life up there, serving the Lord, in those very same mountains!

WHERE DO WE FLEE?

.

But where are we to flee? Where is that mountain today?

.

Listen to what the Lord has to say… “In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; To go into the clefts of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of His majesty, when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth. Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?” Isaiah 2:20-22

.

This passage from Isaiah reveals that in the last day, there will be a place of refuge for God’s people! And so it says here that we are to cast away our idols of silver and gold, and take refuge in those ragged rocks!

.

But then notice that it counsels us to “Cease ye from Man”! 

.

Such strange language! But this is where we must flee! And yet, where are those ragged rocks? And how do we “cease from Man”?

.

ENTER INTO THY HIDING PLACE!

Listen again…  “Come, My people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” Isaiah 26:20, 21

.

As this passage reveals, it is not a literal mountain that we are to flee to.

.

And now our Lord adds this new piece to the puzzle by saying that we must enter into our chambers as the place of our refuge!

.

So just how are we supposed to enter our chambers? And just what chambers are we supposed to enter?

.

FULLY TRUSTING IN CHRIST IS OUR PLACE OF REFUGE!

So then, can we gather from this, that Christ is where we must flee to?

.

Listen… “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a Rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me:” Psalm 27:5, 6

.

Yes, it is under the shadow of His wings, in His secret Pavilion, upon that mighty Rock, that we are to take refuge.

.

That’s the only safe place to hide in this fearful hour we are now in!

“JUDGE NOT, THAT YE BE NOT JUDGED!”

Matthew 7:1

Now, just a word of caution. These truths from Heaven are given “for me and me alone!” We are not to look at others with a judgmental eye.

.

And anyway, we just don’t know how God is working in the hearts and lives of people, nor do we know the true motives of others!

.

So we simply look into the mirror and realize that, “Christ Jesus came into this world to save sinners. of who I AM CHIEF!” 1st Timothy 1:15

.

Yes, my own heart is filled with enough evil to keep me busy for a lifetime, trying to purify it from my own innate wickedness!

CASTOR AND POLLUX = THE NARROW WAY…

.

“And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.” Acts 28:11

.

Most theologians interpret this verse to be speaking of two pagan gods known as Castor and Pollux. Beyond that, they are puzzled as to what significance do these twin gods have. Some believe these gods to be the patrons of safe ocean travel. Certainly God would never want His people to board such a pagan ship!

.

But there is much significance to Castor and Pollux. No, not to those twin-gods. But there are two stars named Castor and Pollux. They are twin-stars, and not twin-gods. They are the two bright stars of the constellation commonly known as Gemini. But as “Signs Of Heaven” points out, these two stars also happen to be the two brightest stars on Orion’s sickle.

And these two stars are also known as The Narrow Gate Stars. And if you will explore this concept, you will see that Castor and Pollux possess great significance… 

.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14. Castor and Pollux represent this Biblical concept of the Narrow Way.

LOCATING THIS GROUP…

.

These two sketches below are the same picture, one with stars only, the other with embellishments. These stars appear more or less like this when they are in the western sky, just before they sink below the western horizon (please excuse the less-than 100% accurate sketch). At the top of the sketches in the center is the Big Dipper. But with other surrounding stars, the Big Dipper is known as Ursa Major or the Great Bear. But as this website points out, Ursa Major is actually the Revelation 12 Woman. (Ursa Major appears much larger in the sky than this sketch shows. But in order to fit her into this drawing, the artist had to depict her much smaller)

IN THE WEST

.

This most amazing phenomenon is seen throughout the winter, and even into June at the beginning of night. It is seen best when it is the western part of the sky. Orion, the Dragon, and the Glorious Horse are beginning to descend into the western horizon. And at this point it is apparent that the Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation is veering toward the Narrow Gate Stars as you can see just to the left of the mountain. A dark night is best for seeing this.

.

It begins with the Woman of Revelation 12 Constellation going towards these two doors. The doors are each composed of two bright stars. The two bright stars that comprise the Narrow Gate are the two brightest stars of the Orion the Reaper’s sickle. The two stars that comprise the Wide Gate Stars (to the right of the mountain) are the two brightest stars of the Wave of Water (AKA Auriga Constellation) that comes out of the Dragon Constellation’s mouth (for explanation of “Wave of Water”, just click here). The stars that make up the Narrow Gate are about one-third less the width of the Wide Gate. The two bright stars which symbolize the Wide Gate are Capella and Menkalinan. These are the brightest two stars of the Auriga Constellation. (For more information on Orion’s sickle, just click here, “Orion The Reaper”. )

Cease Ye From Man!

We live in a society today, which, to put it mildly, is very proactive about telling us how to live.

.

From cradle to grave, we are inundated with advice, with maxims, with philosophies, with psychology, and with all sorts of ideological dogma!

.

Some could perhaps be considered good. And many laws are good.

.

But more and more, there are oppressive laws, which tend to violate the Christian conscience.

.

THE “GRAY AREAS” OF LIFE

.

But this devotional is not about the laws of the land; but rather, is about things that would be considered “gray areas” of life: the questionable issues of everyday life.

.

Many of these are not laws, but merely societal norms.

.

And isn’t it true, that our society is very dogmatic about many customs and traditional practices which they embrace and profess?

.

But the Bible says… “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert” Jeremiah 17:5, 6.

.

Yes, as the disciple of Jesus grows in grace and in the knowledge of Christ, he (or she) begins to trust less and less in what people say, and more and more in the Word of Christ, and what He has to say about how we should live!

.

“THE TRADITIONS OF MEN”

.

When Jesus walked the earth, He likewise encountered similar overbearing dogmatism.

.

No, society was nothing like it is today, in which we are inundated from every direction, to conform to society’s “unwritten rules”. Nevertheless, the Devil made very sure that Jesus faced more fierce and more numerous encounters over such issues, more than we mortals can ever know!

.

For instance, just one of His minor encounters was with the Pharisees who were shocked that He and His disciples did not wash their hands before eating.

.

But Jesus answered them like this… “ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And He said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” Mark 7:8

.

Now Jesus was not saying that we shouldn’t wash our hands or our dishes! But He was merely making a point to these proud men, regarding placing tradition above the Word of God.

.

But He was also gently upbraiding them about the importance of exercising kindness to others, instead of their rude judgmental words against His disciples.

.

TRUE CHRISTIANITY WILL OFFEND

.

And the point of this devotional is that we are in a very similar predicament today. Even much greater!

.

As we try to allow Jesus to live out His life through us, we may decide it more Christ-like to do certain things differently from the norms of society. And as a result, we will undoubtedly meet with opposition, from family, from friends, from society at large, and even from fellow Christians…

.

“Oh you don’t have insurance on your home!?”

.

“So, you’re going to home-school your children!?”

.

“You mean you’re not going to let a doctor treat you!?”

.

“Oh, you think the churches are Babylon!?”

.

“Why don’t you believe this, or why don’t you do that!?”

.

These and myriad more, are the kinds of oppositions which a Christian must face, at times.

.

FOLLOWING JESUS SEEMS FANATICAL

.

Now whether or not the Reader agrees with these aforementioned examples, the important thing is this: each Christian must make up his or her own mind as to just how they are going to follow Jesus.

.

And while we must always be on guard against allowing the Devil to lure us into fanaticism, we nevertheless are to follow Jesus.

.

And as we advance up the pathway of Heaven’s knowledge, we begin to see more and more ways in which Jesus behaved differently than our society dictates.

.

TIME OF TROUBLE 

.

Now we are living in the very day in which Christians will be tested before the world.

.

We do not know for certain just how we will be tested.

.

But just like Peter, whose pride was the point of contention (as he succumbed to peer-pressure which caused him to deny His Lord), we too may face similar trials which cause us to suffer embarrassment and scorn from our family, friends, and neighbors.

.

WALKING ON WATER

.

And we must also remember that Jesus was (and still is) looked upon as a fanatic! And so was Paul, and so was John and so were the others as well.

.

And so will we, if we are truly on The Way of Holiness, that upward highway out of this world! More and more will our lives reflect the life of Jesus. More and more will we “walk on water”, so to speak, as we live the life of faith.

.

This is why the world hates Jesus. And this is why the world will hate us too!

.

Listen…“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” John 15:18, 19

JUDGE NOTHING BEFORE THE TIME”

But just one more word on this subject. It must be remembered that the Bible is a very complex Book. And each Christian must live by what he or she knows to be truth.

.

And so, we just can’t allow the people of this world to be our conscience for us. Nor are we to be their conscience!

.

Therefore, just like Jesus was very quiet about why He did or didn’t do certain things, so should we. Especially in the areas in which others cannot understand, we ought not make such things public.

.

FANATICISM

.

And if we are in doubt about certain duties, then perhaps we should not do them, until we have prayerfully studied our Bibles to the point that all our doubts have dissipated.

.

And also, if we are the type of person that easily falls into fanaticism, then we must remember that Satan would especially love to get us to engage in some sort of fanaticism, in hopes of casting dirt upon the name of Christ.

.

BY STUDY, BY PRAYER & BY EXPERIENCE

.

But the well-seasoned Christian (who by years of study, prayer, and abundance of experiential trials), really knows his Bible, will more and more walk by the same faith of Jesus, and will more and more become a spectacle to this faithless world in which we live (see 1st Corinthians 4:9).

.

This picture of the Apostle, John, really paints a thousand words, doesn’t it? After all, anybody looking at it would think it’s a picture of Jesus. And from reading John’s three epistles, it becomes clear that John had fully been transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ. Do you think John was offensive to worldly-minded people? After all, he wasn’t banished to the Isle of Patmos, because they liked him!

THE MILKY WAY RUNS THROUGH THIS HOLY-GHOST-RIDER

.

Now one thing that is noticeable and makes this constellation even more dramatic, is the fact that the Milky Way runs right through it. And the question that must be asked is, “What biblical implications does this constellation/Milky Way connection have?” Well, very simply put, if stars represent Believers, then this rider works in the world through His True-Worshippers, to a great extent.

.

WHY IS THIS CONSTELLATION SO INCOMPLETE IN APPEARANCE

.

So why is this constellation merely an outline? Well it does show his back, rear end and leg…and arm. But unlike, say, Orion, this constellation is very vague, even mysterious in appearance. Almost vacant in appearance. Yes this horseman represents Christ. But even more than this, it represents the Holy Spirit of Christ. And as we all know, the Holy Spirit is very, very, un-intrusive, almost impossible to detect His presence.

Crocodile Love!

UNSAVED MANKIND:

“For he flattereth himself in his own eyes,

until his iniquity be found to be hateful.”

Psalm 36:1, 2

It was once thought that crocodiles ate their babies, because they were observed with their babies hanging out of their deadly jaws as they walked.

.

But this theory was eventually dismissed, when it was discovered that the crocodile actually uses its jaws to carefully carry its young hatchlings to a safer haven!

.

And as so often is the case, even the more deadly beasts of nature exercise tender loving care for their young!

.

LOVE FOR OUR OWN

.

And so it is, also with humans. Even wicked despots are observed exercising this same tender loving care for their own young! 

.

Therefore, both the animal and human families quite often tenderly care for their young.

.

Thus, here is a wonderful aspect seen throughout nature, in both man and beast.

.

And in these dark times, such motherly and fatherly concern for their babies is nice to see!

.

CHRIST DIED FOR HIS ENEMIES!

.

But here is the amazing thing! Jesus Christ came down to this world and laid down His life for us! And not only for those of us who think we’re “good people”. But He laid down His life for those of us who hated Him and hung Him on that cursed tree! He died for you and He died for me!

.

And not only this, but Christ wants to come and make His abode within us, via His Holy Spirit, and give us that same love! And He wants to fill us with love, not only for our own little family. But he wants us to have the same love for all Mankind!

.

For friend and stranger alike!

.

For old folks, and for very young children too!

.

For loved ones, and even for enemies!

.

RENOUNCE THIS WORLD!

.

And so, why are we content to only have love for a small circle of friends and family? Why not renounce this sad old crocodile-love world we live in and take up our Cross and begin that upward sojourn to a place which has love incomprehensible?

.

This crocodile-love world is such a small, selfish place! It’s a world where so few care that you ever lived or that you even died! It’s a world that mostly just cares for its own…like the crocodile cares for its own!

Oh yes, there are many who are involved in humanitarian projects. And who knows what motivates a person to do such things?

But sadly, many of those same “merciful people” will applaud mothers who kill their own young in abortion clinics!

And these so-called, “tender-hearted” humanitarians will often turn with venomous anger and hatred against those who oppose and condemn this barbaric practice!

.

GOD IS LOVE!!!

And so, as we see that crocodile care tenderly for its young ones, and yet he would love to eat you or me, or even our little babies, we realize just how small our own love is! We realize that we’re really little better than the beasts of the earth! And we begin to understand what an unloving Humanity we are!

And then, we realize what a great God and Savior we have! And we marvel at the knowledge that “His mercy endures for ever!”, because “God is LOVE!”

And the Good News is, that the place where we’re going is a place where everyone will love you dearly!

No more will people make snide comments to you, or about you!

No more will crowds trample you to get ahead of you in line!

Nor will you do those unloving things to them!

Love for all will reign supreme!

“TAKE UP THE CROSS AND FOLLOW ME”

.

” And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Matthew 24:30

.

It seems obvious that the Orion Constellation fulfills the above verse. Orion seems to be the sign of the Son of Man in Heaven. But in a greater sense, all these signs on this website, are the signs spoken of in Luke 21:25… “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;” Luke 21:25. So in a very real sense, they seem to be the “sign of the Son of Man in heaven.” And it is just now in history that God is revealing this wonderful truth. And these signs tell the glorious Gospel Story in an orderly year-long cycle, from start to finish, beginning in early spring. And though they tell the basic Gospel story, these signs also present an important message to those who wish to enter into glory with Christ.

This optical illusion combination constellation, known as Orion, is an amazing declaration from our Creator/Redeemer. ‘Orion the Soldier’, ‘Orion the Reaper’, ‘Orion the Archer’, and last but certainly not least, ‘The Cross of Orion’. These are the four offices of Orion.

As of December, 2012, there has been seen a new Orion: “Orion, The Good Shepherd”.

.

GOD’S UNIVERSAL LOVE…

.

“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” Galatians 6:14.

.

The Cross is the symbol that God has chosen, to represent the concept of self-sacrificing love. It is the symbol of universality, as it points northward, southward, eastward, and westward. Paul, in the above verse, speaks of his own spiritual crucifixion from the love for this world. Listen to Paul… “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.”

And so the Cross is a symbol of universality…

.

“GOD’S LOVE GOES IN EVERY DIRECTION…

.

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the BREADTH, AND LENGTH, AND DEPTH, AND HEIGHT; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.”  Ephesians 3:17-19.

Do you see what the above verse says? It says that we might know the breadth, length, depth and height of God’s love. This is a theme worthy of much contemplation as we study God’s Word in the light of the Cross. This verse seems to be taking us into four different directions: that the Cross symbolizes God’s love which spans in every possible direction, including the depths of Hell, and the height of Heaven, and even goes beyond time and space. It is far more than mortal Man can comprehend.

The Golden Rule in Hell!

Do you remember the parable of the Good Samaritan? Yes, here was a little story which Jesus told about a certain “non-christian” man, who did what the so-called “religious ones” did not! He stopped and helped a man who was beaten and robbed, while the religious community passed the poor man by!

.

And the big point that Jesus was making in the telling of that parable, was that Christians need to really begin to apply the principle of love in our daily lives!

.

Yes, there is the great principle which guides the universe, and should guide us too! It is commonly referred to as “The Golden Rule”. Yes, to “love thy neighbor as thyself” is spoken of in James 2:6 as, “The Royal Law”.

.

THE ROYAL LAW

.

Now of course, this principle applies in every instance of life, both big and small.

.

It is to guide us in matters of courtesy. It is to guide us in matters of the family. It should speak to us when down at work. Or in the classroom. It should be the guiding principle in how we treat others, be it friend or stranger, or even foe!

.

Yes, this Royal Law is for all the world to obey!

.

But as Christians, we have a much greater commission! Not only are we to be kind and loving in the little matters of everyday life. But we are to seek after the lost souls in this world, as if we are seeking after our very own soul!

.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!

.

But how do we do this? Just how do we love our neighbor as our self, in terms of Salvation? Are we to pray for others, even as we would pray for our own self, if the tables were turned, and we were the lost one? Yes, we should be praying for others as if we were in their place!

.

Listen to James… “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16

.

So here we see the Royal Law shining through in this verse! Yes, like all of Scripture, this little, tiny verse is also fraught with deep and great importance! It challenges us to seek after a greater abiding love! It begs us to strive for a closer likeness to Jesus! It constrains us to fully engage ourselves in a more fervent and constant prayer-life!

JESUS, THE GOOD SHEPHERD

.

Yes, as I consider how I would want to be sought after, if I were the lost soul, then it becomes very clear how I should be living my life in total devotion to the Salvation of others! And even the most wicked of men are also souls desperately in need of Salvation!

.

And so, no more should I be pointing the accusing finger at the wicked despots of the world! Instead, I should be praying for their Salvation as if I were praying for my very own soul! After all, didn’t Jesus die for those wicked despots?

.

And so, to “love thy neighbor as myself”, includes the most wicked of the wicked in this very evil world!

.

And with this in mind, the life of Jesus starts to make real sense! Here was the Great Shepherd who gave His very utmost for the reconciling of lost souls! Every thing He did was for one purpose alone: to seek out and save the Lost!

.

And look at the life of Paul! His life was totally devoted to the saving of souls! Look at the life of John, the Apostle! His life was dedicated to becoming transformed into the likeness of Jesus!

.

IMAGINE YOURSELF IN HELL

.

And so, dear stranger and pilgrim in this world, whatever your conception of Hell is, or whatever my conception of Hell is, we both need to imagine that it is my soul that will spend eternity there!

.

Because, when you and I are each standing before God’s Judgment Throne, on the Last Day, the question will be asked us, “Did you spend your time on earth seeking for the souls of others as though you were seeking your very own soul?”

And the Good News is, that you and I are still in the land of the living! We still have time to change!

ORION, THE GOOD SHEPHERD

.

.

This star-chart from Wikipedia, has Orion sketched in by the editor of this website. With the addition of a single star, Theta Geminorum (the left hand of the Castor twin of Gemini), the sickle in Orion, the Reaper’s hand (sketch to left), now extends the blade, thus transforming that sickle into the hook of a shepherd’s rod and staff. And so now this little Gemini star becomes the tip of Orion’s Shepherd’s rod & staff. Thus with this additional star, Orion the Reaper Constellation now becomes the 5th personality of Orion: The Good Shepherd (sketch below right). Theta Geminorum is a class A3, 4th magnitude star, which means it is much fainter than either of the stars, Castor or Pollux. But faint as This little star may be, it nevertheless presents a giant concept, turning Orion’s sickle into a shepherd’s rod. And this is a very wonderful and beautiful Bible truth: namely, that Jesus is the Good Shepherd, as is written…

And so God has placed this Starry Shepherd in the winter-night heavens to remind us of His great love for a planet which has wandered away: just like sheep that wandered to where the grass looked greener.

THE GOOD SHEPHERD FINDS US

.

.

“What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.” John 15:4-6

There are many who are confused as to just who found who. Because there are so many passages that urge us to seek the Lord, many mistakenly assume that the sheep find the Shepherd, when just the opposite is true. The Good Shepherd finds us, not we Him. Just listen…

“In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” 2nd Tim. 2:25, 26

Too Many Loose Ends!

.

Of course we’ve all heard the expression, “That idea has too many loose ends!” And this expression refers to the loose ends of an unraveled rope.

.

Now there are certain ideas and beliefs that could fall into the category of having “too many loose ends”.

.

Maybe you could say, “The theory of evolution has far too many loose ends to ever be taken seriously!”

.

THE COMING OF THE LORD

1st Thessalonians 4:15-17

.

Well, within Christendom, there are certain supposed Bible doctrines which one might also be able to say, “That doctrine has too many loose ends, to be anything more than merely a church doctrine or theory!”

.

One such theory is that of the idea of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture.

.

And why is the Pre-Tribulation Rapture called into question, here?

.

Because it has just far too many “loose ends” attached to it!

.

Well, beside the fact that the Bible has already named the event, “The coming of the Lord”, there really isn’t any biblical authority for calling it “The Rapture”. And without the name, “The Rapture” we’re stuck with its God-given name, “The Coming of the Lord”.  

.

As a matter of fact, the very passage in which the word, “harpazo” is used to justify the name, “Rapture”, God already names the event “the Coming of the Lord!” (see 1st Thessalonians 4:15-17). And so this entire notion of two separate returns of Jesus simply holds no water!

.

Or, rather, it simply has too many “loose ends!”

.

LAST TRUMPET SHALL SOUND

.

But there is another loose end to this theory. And that loose end is found in 1st Corinthians…

.

Listen…. “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” 1st Corinthians 15:52.

.

Now, this trumpet sounding, speaks of the Day when God’s Salvation program will come to a grand fulfillment! It speaks of the Day when those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake.

THE 7 TRUMPETS OF REVELATION

.

And the reason that this verse becomes one of those “loose ends”, is because the Book of Revelation speaks of seven angels with seven trumpets. And these seven angels sound their trumpets one-by-one, and not at the same time. And with each trumpet, there are special events which occur after each of the seven trumpets sound.

.

Now, there is a seventh trumpet which sounds. And this trumpet is the last trumpet ever mentioned in the Book of Revelation!

7TH ANGEL WITH 7TH TRUMPET

.

Listen… “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever… And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that Thou shouldest give reward unto Thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear Thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” Revelation 11:15, 18 .

.

But Revelation also says this about this last trumpet sounding… “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as He hath declared to His servants the prophets.” Revelation 10:7

.

Now this above verse speaks of “the DAYS of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound,” which conveys the idea that there is a time period of days, when this angel begins to sound. And even though this seventh angel’s trumpet call precedes God’s judgment of the world, and His judgment of the dead, this definitely speaks of this event as lasting for a number of days, either prophetic days, or literal days! We just don’t know which, for sure!

LAST TRUMPET SOUNDS IN CH. 10

.

And so, for those who attempt to prove that the last 19 chapters of Revelation are after the so-called pre-tribulation Rapture, when the Church will supposedly be taken out of the world, we really need to consider that this last trumpet is blowing in Revelation, Chapter 10, six chapters after the supposed Rapture!

.

So what do theologians do, who are heavily invested in this Pre-Tribulation Rapture theory? Well, they have to wrestle with Scripture! “Maybe there’s another set of trumpets”, they often say.

.

And so, this is just one “loose end” of many which makes the pre-tribulation Rapture theory just that: a theory! Nothing more! And a bad theory at that!

.

And truth-be-told, God has placed many other similar tests in the Bible, in which we are given a choice: “Do I love my church doctrine more than I love the Bible? Am I willing to ignore or rationalize away any Bible verse which contradicts some pet doctrine, just so I can cling to that old church doctrine?”

.

.

.

.

GOD SENDS STRONG DELUSION

.

Listen: “…And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2nd Thessalonians 2:10-12

.

There really isn’t any reason to be so dogmatic, when the truth is, God has purposely obscured many things in the Bible, concerning the future! Anyway, whether we believe in the pre-tribulation coming of the Lord or the post-tribulation “coming of the Lord” is not nearly as important as whether or not we are humble and meek, and teachable! Yes, to be meek and humble and teachable is of far greater importance than tenaciously clinging to old church doctrines and traditions!

.

And we must never try to force the pieces of a puzzle into place! Nor should we ignore an important piece, like this glaring inconsistency in present-day eschatology!

TREMBLING AT GOD’S WORD

.

And the Lord warns us, in the last verses of Revelation… “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Revelation 22:18, 19

.

It would be far better to teach Bible prophecy about future events with great fear and trembling, than to take a dogmatic, “I-know-it-all” approach! But one thing we do know for sure is: the Lord will definitely come again, to judge the world.

.

And we also know that “the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” 1st Peter 4:17 There are many things in the Bible which are hard to be understood. God has done this purposely, so that those who are without, will be taken by their own dishonesty. You could say, that God will sometimes give men enough rope to hang themselves, as the saying goes!

FINDING ORION ‘THE REAPER’…

.

.

This constellation is the 3rd member of the ‘Orion Constellation’ Phenomena. This particular version of Orion is easily seen (if you know what to look for). First you must locate Orion. And then try to find the stars which comprise his sickle. The two brightest stars of his sickle are at the blade. These two stars are Castor and Pollux. Castor and Pollux are known commonly as being in the Gemini Constellation.

Of course, Orion is seen in the colder months, but can even be seen starting in late summer, in the eastern skies in the wee hours of morning. At first he is lying down. But gradually through the night and through the winter, he more and more stands upright. The sketches on this page are rough and do not show every star exactly. However they are close enough to be able to locate this 3rd office that Orion holds (Orion the: 1. Archer   2. Soldier  3. Reaper 4. Cross ).

THIRD ‘HAT’ THAT ORION WEARS…

Here is another part of the Orion Phenomena. We have  Orion the Soldier, The Cross of Orion, Orion the Archer’, and here is Orion the Reaper .

CLOUD OF WITNESSES… Also take note of the cloud on Orion’s back-side. if you go out into the country on a dark, clear night, you can easily see the Milky Way running along Orion’s back side. This works very nicely with Orion the Reaper. Because the Milky Way  is a heavenly cloud containing a myriad of stars . Thus, the white cloud mentioned in Revelation 14:14, 15,  just might be referring to the Milky Way.

“And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of Man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.” Revelation 14:14.

But another verse about clouds likewise supports this conclusion…

.

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses…Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. ” Hebrews 12:1

.

CONCLUSION…  the Milky Way, which is the cloud that the Orion the Reaper is sitting upon, symbolizes the myriad of stars which represents the myriad of those who serve god, throughout the heavens, as well as those whom the Lord seeks to save. This is a great and marvelous sign from heaven, and speaks of the infinite mercy of our Saviour which transcends knowledge and gives us a glimpse of things… “which are not lawful for a man to speak” 2 Corinthians 12:4

From Genesis to Revelation, the theme of two women, one an adulterous woman, and the other, a virtuous woman, is interwoven into the warp and woof of the Scriptures. And as the Bible develops, so too this theme of the two woman likewise develops, until we discover that they each represent the two portions of the Church: the church-faithful, and the church-apostate.

Listen to Paul… “For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.” Galatians 4:22-26

In this above passage, God, through the hand of Paul, presents the basic concept of the Church actually being divided into two camps, the Church-Faithful and the Church-Apostate!

BABYLON NOW!

.

Now the subject of the apostate churches should always be handled delicately, since none of us can hold our head up high, in these last days! We don’t want to throw rocks at an organization which was the anointed of God, if at all possible. And anyway, we’ve all sinned, and have all fallen short of the glory of God, haven’t we?

.

But having said this, there comes a time when the sins of Babylon must be pointed out, because, there is a lot of confusion about just what is modern-day Babylon.

.

Yes, Satan, who comes as an angel of light, has transformed his ministers into so-called ministers of righteousness, as is revealed in 2nd Corinthians 11:14, 15. And so, far too many pulpits have become under the control of Satan. After all, where else would Satan’s “ministers of righteousness” be, except behind the pulpits of churches?

SATAN THE KING OF SPIRITUAL BABYLON

But as we explore these biblical issues, the question must be asked, “Why would we ever get the idea that Satan is the King of Babylon?”

Listen… “That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!…he that ruled the nations…How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:” Isaiah 14:4, 12, 13

Now this above passage really ties Lucifer to Babylon, “the golden city”. And this passage apparently names the King of Babylon in this way… “The King of Babylon…O, Lucifer, son of the morning”.

HARLOT RIDING THE BEAST

Therefore, it is now apparent that Satan’s kingdom is Babylon.

.

But there is a religious quarter within the city walls of Babylon. And this did not escape the attention of the Protestant Reformation! After all, God’s people were persecuted by the apostate churches of Europe for many centuries.

.

And so it is no wonder that they drew pictures of the Babylon Harlot, as she rode the Antichrist Beast of Revelation, chapters 13 & 17!

SPIRITUAL BABYLON

.

Now if we turn to Revelation, Chapter 18, this harlot, Mystery Babylon is described as a city who is drunken with the blood of the saints of God. And it is common knowledge that the apostate churches of Europe carried out an ongoing warfare against the Bible and against those who loved the Bible, for many long centuries.

The Apostle, Peter made reference to Babylon, in one of his epistles… “The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you;” 1st Peter 5:13. 

.

Of course, literal Babylon no longer existed at the time of Peter’s epistle. So Peter was referring to Satan’s kingdom as Babylon.

JEZEBEL RETURNS

.

In John’s letters to the 7 churches of Asia, he mentioned Jezebel… “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.” Revelation 2:20

.

Now at the time of these letters, Jezebel had been dead for many long centuries. Therefore Christ was using Jezebel as a symbol of the spiritual adultery which was already beginning to creep into the churches in the Apostle, John’s day!

.

But while God doesn’t come right out and call the apostate churches Babylon, He does about everything short of calling them, “Babylon the Mystery Harlot”!

Verse 3 of this song was penciled on the wall of a narrow room in an insane asylum by a man said to have been demented. The profound lines were discovered when they laid him in his coffin.

A QUICK-TEMPERED WRATHFUL GOD?

.

When a person first begins to read the Bible, it is quickly seen that God is a somewhat short-tempered, vengeful God, who was quick to destroy His enemies.

.

This same theme continues throughout the Old Testament, more or less. As a matter of fact the Old Testament ends with the very last words, “Lest I come and smite the earth with a curse!” Malachi 4:6

.

But lo-and-behold, the New Testament begins to reveal Jesus Christ, a gentle, merciful Savior, who never harmed even one person! And so, many are puzzled as to just how this could be! Are there two Gods in God’s Book? A sort of, “bad cop, and a good cop”, as the saying goes?

FINDING JESUS

.

God has purposely presented Himself as a sort of jig-saw puzzle, which must be gradually pieced together.

.

And even in the Old Testament, God’s great love and mercy shines through all that justice and anger!

.

Listen… “Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.” Psalm 107:43

.

As this above Old Testament verse advises, those who are wise will observe the workings of God in the world.

.

And then they will begin to see the many pieces of evidence of God’s merciful dealings with the children of men, in both, the big and small details of life!

.

WHY GOD ALLOWS SO MUCH EVIL

.

But why does He allow so many bad things to happen in the world?

.

Well, for one thing, God is wanting us to turn back to Him. Listen… “For the Lord will not cast off for ever: But though He cause grief, yet will He have compassion according to the multitude of His mercies. For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD. Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.” Lamentations 3:31-33, 40, 41 

.

So here is another Old Testament passage which shines through all the woe and misery! God is trying to get us to turn back to Him! But if our lives were simply like that proverbial “bed of roses”, then we would never return to the Lord, would we?

STRETCHED FROM SKY TO SKY

.

In 2012, this constellation was revealed. It is comprised of all the other constellations on this website, as they appear in the night-sky. The only way to really see this constellation, is to become very familiar with this website. This is because this incredible constellation spans both the summer and winter skies. This constellation is actually in a semi-circle, as it appears in the night-sky. These pictures, however, show it as it would appear straightened out.

.

There is an old song which goes… “The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell; It goes beyond the highest star, and reaches to the lowest Hell…

.

But the last verse of this song says… “Could we with ink the ocean fill, And were the skies of parchment made, were every stalk on earth a quill, And every man a scribe by trade; To write the love of God above, would drain the ocean dry; Nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky.” Now what makes all this so extremely interesting, is that this verse was found scribbled on the wall of a deceased “insane” person’s cell in a psychiatric sanitarium, upon removing his corpse.

.

And little did this “insane” man realize, that God had actually written His love and inscribed that love on the scroll (of the sky). And God had actually stretched that picture of love from sky to sky, just as the song-verse said.

.

And now God has revealed this heavenly portrait of the Son of Man, writhing in pain for a planet who cares very little for Him. (These constellations span both summer and winter sky, and this constellation in this picture to the right actually appears much more curved in the sky.)

.

And just like the Bible God has made these signs in such a way, that they are true enough for the Believers to believe; but doubtful enough for the scorners to scorn.   

.

“With the merciful Thou (God) wilt show Thyself merciful; with an upright man Thou wilt show Thyself upright; With the pure Thou wilt show Thyself pure; and with the froward Thou wilt show Thyself froward. For Thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks. Psalm 18:25-27

In Part 1 (click here), it was discussed that the greatest reason for the inability of Bible students to understand the King James Version, is the lack of God’s Holy Spirit to interpret to the student’s mind.

And then, as a desperate attempt to gain an understanding of the Bible, the student buys another, more modern version.

“IF THE FOUNDATIONS BE DESTROYED, WHAT CAN THE RIGHTEOUS DO?

In Part 2 (click here), it was determined that the King James Version has stood the test of time for 400 years. But Satan understands that the KJV is the standard by which all other versions are measured by. And so, it has been his mission to make the King James Version as obsolete as possible, if by any means Satan can render the King James Version irrelevant.

Thus Satan would destroy the foundational role which the KJV has served, leaving us with a lot of poor-to-mediocre versions which say a lot of different things!

WE SHOULD BE TEACHERS BY NOW!

It’s like Paul complains… “…we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.” Hebrews 5:11, 12

.

Paul here, is gently scolding us because by now, many of us should have already reached teacher status.

But Satan has diverted us into the vain pursuit of worldly riches and pleasures!

MANY THINGS HARD TO BE UNDERSTOOD!

.

The fact is, God did not write the Bible, so that it is easy to understand. No, many things in Scripture are hard to be understood, as 2nd Peter 3:16 reveals. And only the Elect will persevere in the pursuit of truth, so as to find the true meaning of those more difficult passages.

.

Listen… “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and Thy Word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by Thy name, O LORD God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16.

.

Yes, Jeremiah loved God’s Word, and separated himself from the apostate church-goers of his day, so that he might fill his hungry soul with God’s life-giving Word!

“Every word of God is pure… Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”

Proverbs 30:5

Some of the newer versions are more-or-less commentaries. In their attempt to be easily readable, they have decided to NOT give a word-for-word translation, especially in difficult-to-understand passages. Thus, these modern-day translators have presumptuously attempted to “try to figure out what the author had in mind” and choose language which the reader might require to “understand what the author had in mind”. This is pure heresy, especially since God warns…“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” Proverbs 30:5

.

One of the most well-known violators of the sanctity of God’s Word is the New International Version, also known as the NIV Version.

.

This version came right and admitted in their introduction that sometimes, instead of faithfully translating word-for-word, they tried to decide what the author “had in mind” on certain difficult texts. Of course, when they referred to “the author”, it was obvious that they were speaking of the humans who penned the various books of the Bible. But the true author of the Bible is God Himself! He simply used humans to write down what He, God, wanted to say. 

.

Thus, when Bible students use these presumptuous versions in hopes of understanding those difficult passages, they are unknowingly putting their trust in mere fallible humans, to do the “heavy lifting”, as the saying goes. Instead, they should get the King James Version, and use a Strong’s Concordance to look up the Greek/Hebrew for themselves, and compare Scripture-with-Scripture, and “spiritual things with spiritual”.

.

But as these KJV articles have already said, today’s Christians are mostly too busy in the world to be bothered with such a laborious and time-consuming task.

THE BIBLE IS OUR ARMOR!

.

A great part of the armor of God, is be clothed with God’s Word. Thus would we be strong against the Enemy of Souls. Our “Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God” would be long and sharp, and ready for battle!

.

And those “Thee’s” and “Thou’s” and “th’s” would have given us little trouble, because we spent the necessary hours each day, in prayer, in Bible study, and in contemplation of God’s Word.

GOOD NEWS! TIME TO REPENT!

.

Well, there is very Good News! Because we can begin today to ask God to clear away all the meaningless rubbish out of our lives, so that we can devote ourselves to the getting of wisdom and knowledge of Jesus Christ and begin to hide those precious promises in our hearts, so that we can begin to walk by faith and not by sight!

.

“SUN SHALL BE DARKENED”

.

 The Bible speaks of the Sun being darkened in various passages, such as this… “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall THE SUN BE DARKENED, and the Moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:  Matt. 24:29-30. Here is seen a prophetic scenario to be fulfilled in these times: “the Sun shall be darkened, and the Moon shall not give her light.”

And there are other similar passages, such as this… “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. THE SUN SHALL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS, and the Moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: FOR IN MOUNT ZION and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.”  Joel 2:30-32. But how are we to understand this? Will the Moon be turned to literal blood? Or are these things to be understood figuratively? And why is the Moon spoken of as “her”?

BIBLE SPEAKS REPEATEDLY OF THE SUN

.

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield:” Psalm 84:11 

.

The Bible repeats this concept from start to finish. Such passages as this one, speak of spiritual light and darkness… “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.” 2 Peter 1:19

.

Christ here compares Himself to the “day star” (the Sun). Here is a remarkable revelation concerning the last days. That Christ will be the day-star that arises in our hearts at the great “Dawning of the Day”. And this concept should be researched and understood, in order to gain a greater understanding of just how shall the Sun be darkened.
