This constellation is the same as Orion, but can also be seen as this cross on a hill. It is best seen in mid-winter, traveling east to west through the night in mid-sky. Orion begins to appear in August, in the pre-dawn hours. However, Orion does not look like a Cross, until it stands upright, later in the season, in pre-dawn hours.

For example, the atheist, as he grows old and sad and hopeless, only makes Christianity look that much more appealing to those who are questioning and searching which direction to go in life.
The Bible makes a very revealing statement about the people of the world, especially atheists. The Bible tells us that the people of the world are held in bondage by fear of death, as is written, “…(unbelievers) through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Hebrews 2:15.

And so, as a result, those who are deluded by atheism are often tormented by Satan with nightmares of eternal blackness and nothingness and hopelessness. But so often, the atheist will put on his or her best face when out in public, so as to hide the fear inside.
.
It really shows how atheism can eventually immerse a man (or woman) in hopelessness and despair, and all the more as they see themselves (and their loved-ones) grow nearer and nearer to the grave. And of course, this only makes Christianity that much more appealing, as we see what the hopeless, tragic, and terrifying alternative, atheism, actually looks like!
Is that all there is to life? No, there is much more! Oh yes, when we rebelled against God, we lost our eternal inheritance. We became like the grass that is soon cut down. And our glory is like that fading flower.

But it doesn’t need to stay that way!

There is very Good News! God has given us a “fountain of youth”so to speak.
.
That fountain is found in the Bible…
“In the last day, that great day of the feast,
Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.
He that believes on Me, as the scripture has said,
out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
And every human who has come into this world has been given the opportunity to drink of that fountain. And if anyone does drink of that fountain of life, his or her soul begins to flourish.

And though the body eventually withers and dies, that person will be raised anew to live forever… forever in a place much more beautiful and wonderful than this waterfall photo to the right!

A place so wonderful and joyful, beyond anything that tongue or pen can tell!

This constellation group can best be seen in spring through summer in the southern sky just above the horizon. Like all constellations, it slowly moves westward through the months, appearing a little earlier each night. It also appears to move through the sky westward each night. It can be easily seen under any degree of darkness. In other words, you don’t need a very dark night. In the sketch to the right, the ‘Flower of the Field’ Constellation `is in the lower part of the screen, directly under the Cross/Scepter Constellation. This constellation presents one of the most beautiful verses in Scripture. It has become apparent, on this date, that as summer draws to a close, this “Flower of the Field” “Constellation appears to bend almost completely down. This occurs as it travels into the western skies. It somehow rotates in order to produce this effect. This is a very wonderful phenomenon…and Biblical too! After all, the Bible says “the grass withers and the flower falls away”. And that’s exactly what this flower seems to do. It almost seems to be bowing itself…in the direction of that bright and beautiful star, “Arcturus” (which represents Jesus). This would make sense. After all, Scripture states…

Do you see the man standing between these two Christian pilgrims? You probably would never know from looking at him, that he is a carrier of a very deadly and contagious disease!

Yes, this man (named, “Ignorance”) has a deadly disease which is seldom discussed in public forums. Partly because it’s an embarrassment to have it! And partly because the public is greatly in denial of its existence!

Yes, this killer disease is most prevalent in Christian circles!
.
This silent but deadly disease is commonly referred to as D.C.S.
And just what is D.C.S., you ask? Well, these letters stand for its proper name, “Diminished Conscience Syndrome”.

Diminished Conscience Syndrome is a highly contagious disease that can strike without notice!
.
One of the great dangers of this disease is, that most Christians are not even aware that they have it! And it can be easily contracted and spread by careless verbal communications.
.
Listen…“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” 1st Corinthians 15:33.Yes, whenever Christians engage in less-than-wholesome communications, this infectious virus can be easily spread.
.
This deadly virus, simply put, occurs when the conscience becomes…
“seared as with a hot iron,
causing one to forbid to marry (Christ),
and commanding to abstain from the meats (deeper truths of the Word),
causing one to become malnourished in the words of faith and of good doctrine!”
Now the Christian may not even be aware that he or she has contracted this virus. However, there are some tell-tale signs that one has been infected.

So here is a short list of a few most common signs to watch for:

1. Copious amounts of television watching is perhaps the most noticeable sign to watch for. (see Psalm 101:2, 3)

2. Drowsiness occurring while praying or studying one’s Bible.
.
.
3. A growing desire to gossip and spontaneous moments of judging others and making defaming and derogatory comments about them, behind their backs. (see Luke 6:37 & James 2:1-4)
.
.
4. Sudden fits of laughter over the hearing of foolish talk and jesting. (see Ephesians 5:4)
.
.
5. Ongoing and insatiable thirst for worldly pleasures and a constant hungering for earthly treasures.
.
.
6. Loss of eyesight causing the patient to no longer see, “the Land which is very far off.” (see Isaiah 33:17)
.
.
7. No longer able to focus one’s thoughts upon the life-giving words of Christ.
.
.
8. Often seen behaving like a dolt, intruding into places where angels fear to tread!
.
.
9. Desire to gamble with one’s Salvation, by presumptuously engaging in various types of reckless, unchristlike behavior. (see Psalm 19:12-14)

A CURE HAS BEEN DISCOVERED!
.
Now the very Good News to all this, is that this disease while very deadly, is totally curable! Yes, that great Physician discovered the cure for D.C.S., making it unnecessary for even one victim to die of this disease.

Nevertheless, the remedy for D.C.S. must be strictly followed:
.
First, as you can see in this picture to the right, this disease has been around a very long time! In Old Testament times, such victims of this disease had to look upon this brazen serpent, to be cured!
.
But today, thanks to the Great Physician who invented our modern-day cure, we simply need to look upon the Cross which this Great Physician has provided!
.
Yes, nowadays, the sufferer of D.C.S. need only look up, and lift up the head to behold the Savior on the Cross. And once the head is lifted up, the patient must continue looking up, fixing his or her gaze heavenward for evermore. (see Luke 21:28)
.
Second, immediately anoint your eyes with the eyesalve of constant prayer and Bible meditation. (see Revelation 3:18)
.
.
Third, the patient must be thoroughly washed (in Christ’s blood), and have a change of clothing of linen garments, clean and white, unspotted from the world. (see Jude 1:23 & Revelation 19:8)
.
Fourth, be sure to purchase pure and fine gold, tried in the fires of tribulation. (see Acts 14:22)
.
Fifth, once cured, the former sufferer must judiciously avoid any more questionable situations which may re-injure the restored and once-again healthy conscience, because it is now very tender, and can easily be re-damaged! (see Titus 1:15, 16 & 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18)
One reason for presenting this analogy between the conscience and physical disease, is to illustrate how the things of nature can easily translate into spiritual concepts!

It is not the intent of this article to make light of this undone condition! Indeed, we are all struggling on a daily basis to keep our consciences as clear and tender as we possibly can!

Of all the possessions that a human can have, the soul is by far the most important!

And yet, it’s truly remarkable how lightly esteemed the soul is!
.
After all, we the people of the world go on our merry way, mostly never even giving a thought for our most valuable possession! The above verse from Mark 8:36, puts the importance of the human soul in proper perspective…

“For what shall it profit a man,
if he shall gain the whole world,
and lose his own soul?”

It is more valuable than all the riches this world can offer, as the above verse alludes…
If your soul lives eternally, you have everything, more than the richest person on Earth! If not, well then, in respect to eternity, you are little more than a mere beggar, a pauper, though you may possess vast earthly riches.

The soul is what makes you, you, and me, me. So, if both you and I lose our soul, then there is no more “you”, and there is no more “me”. We simply will no longer exist.

Now on the other hand, if you and I die being “true worshipers”, God promises to safely keep our souls.

Listen… “Preserve my soul; for I am holy:
O Thou my God, save Thy servant that trusteth in Thee.”
That great theologian of yesteryear, Matthew Henry, had a thing to say concerning the preciousness of the soul, and why Psalms 22:20 & 35:17 refer to it as “my darling”…

Listen to Henry… “My soul is my only one.
I have but one soul to take care of, and therefore the greater is my shame if I neglect it and the greater will the loss be if I let it perish.
Being my only one, it ought to be my darling, for the eternal welfare of which I ought to be deeply concerned.
I do not use my soul as my darling, unless I take care to preserve it from every thing that would hurt it and to provide all necessaries for it, and be entirely tender of its welfare.”

So, Henry interprets, “my darling”, as referring to the soul, expressing how dear and precious is a man’s soul!

But of course, as far as those of the world are concerned, the soul is mostly regarded as worthless! On TV or radio, you might hear a commercial about physical or mental health or safety just about every 10 or 15 minutes or so. The “god of this world”, Lucifer, doesn’t care so much if you have physical health.

But do you ever hear an advertisement about the value of a soul? Do the various TV dramas ever deal with the preservation of the soul?

No, why would they!?! After all, the “god of this world”wants you to lose your soul! So, you’ll never hear the citizens of this world ever obsess or commiserate over the care and nurture of the soul! And if you ever do, it will probably be done in a mocking or negative manner.
But on the other hand, those who value, and care, and nurture their soul, are among the richest of the rich, though they may be poor in earthly wealth!

After all, who would you rather be: an earthly billionaire, who eventually withers away and dies, or a poor person who will live forever in a beautiful universe?
.
No, the real billionaires are those who love their own soul, and care for it and nurture it…

Listen… “There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing:
there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.
The ransom of a man’s life are his riches:”

Jesus is the ransom for our soul. And that ransom paid by Him is worth more than all the riches of this world!

Yes, this above passage leaves little room for debate on the subject of true riches. And yet, it is perhaps one of the most little regarded of all Bible passages.

The above verse from Revelation, speaks of God’s Temple in Heaven being opened. But this great constellation the Sagittarius Constellationis actually being the constellation of the Ark of the Covenant. So these two events (the Ark in Heaven seen, and this Ark in the night-sky revealed) go hand in hand simultaneously. The Ark Constellation, as sketched in to this Wikipedia star-chart, is a representation of the heavenly Ark, as God begins to open up the spiritual concepts of that true Ark to our minds.

Television is the Magnificent Sorcerer! It will bewitch us, performing its magic before our very eyes! It will seduce us as it sexualizes us (and sexualizes our children, too!)

Atheism has concluded that the Universe was the product of a giant explosion in ages past, which they call “The Big Bang Theory”: In the beginning there was nothing. And out of nothing came an explosion, from which the Universe was born. And out of this chaos came a well-ordered, and very beautiful and awesome Universe in which…all things operate according to laws: billions of laws!

Do you see the contradiction of such an idea? According to them, out of merely nothing, came law and order as well as poetic beauty and majesty!

Does this sound absurd?
.
Yes, it’s ridiculous to even imagine for a moment, that out of nothing came an explosion which resulted in a well-ordered and beautifully awesome universe which operates by innumerable laws!
From the tiniest particle of an atom, to the greatest of all galaxies…there is law and order. Laws concerning gravity. Laws concerning food. Laws concerning music…and motion…and mechanics. Laws concerning all creatures, great and small. From the tiniest amoeba, to the great whales of the oceans. Laws about the Earth, and fire and air…and laws about water. Laws about health and laws about UN-health. Everything operates by laws…millions and billions of laws! Laws which require obedience, and laws which impose penalties for DIS-obedience.
Now at this point, the question that must be asked is this: “Where did all these laws come from, by which the Universe operates?
Did these laws just come out of nowhere?
Or can we conclude that all these laws which govern, not only Man, but every single thing in the Universe as well, were given by some supreme Law-Giver?”
.
The obvious answer is “Yes, there must be a Law-Giver”. It only makes sense! Laws didn’t just magically appear out of nothing!
.
And God is that supreme Law-Giver!
.
But the same God who wrote the laws of Nature has also written the moral laws for Mankind to follow.
.
And the Book we call the Bible is that Divine Law-book given to Mankind, by that Divine Law-Giver…God.
If you would ask a scientist why he or she loves science, you would be sure to hear the answer, “Because all nature operates by Law & Order!”
.
Yes, this is the one great reason why there are scientists! Because all of nature is very predictable, as long as that scientist is familiar with the various laws of whatever he is researching.
.
Now this is amazing, if we really think about it! Supposedly all this universe, being filled with law & order, came forth from chaos and nothingness!
.
And out of all this chaos and nothingness, a great explosion brought forth a well-ordered universe (according to their big-bang theory), with almost an endless number of laws, which govern every single thing, great and small, animate and inanimate alike!
.
And so, here we have thousands of scientists, many who are atheists. And one of their greatest joys is to work within all this law & order! And yet they cannot even put 2-and-2 together! No, they just can’t understand that all this law & order couldn’t exist without a supreme Law-Giver….GOD!
But not only does nature operate by laws, but nature operates in beauty and in poetry, too!

Does Man imagine that this drop of water looking like a beautiful water crown is just a freak accident of nature? No! It tells of Jesus’ kingly majesty as He offers all to drink freely of the “Water of Life”…
“And He said unto me, It is done.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely”
(Revelation 21:6).

And so, this water-drop is a visual metaphor, and a marvelous poetic statement made by nature…spoken to Man: Man, the crown of God’s Creation and the only being on Earth who can appreciate its beauty and poetry. Just an accident?
Does Mankind think some “Big Bang” could ever have produced this scary-looking spider and its web…a perfect illustration of how evil desires to ensnare fallen men in its web of addictions and deceptions? Just ask any of us who have ever been ensnared by some addiction or habit. The spider web is such an incredible metaphor of Satan’s seductive power!
.
So here too is poetry…howbeit the more frightful, hideous form of poetry, rather than being beautiful. But a very necessary metaphor to help us to understand sin and Satan.
With all this law & order, it would seem like a very elementary conclusion, that this beautiful and poetic and allegorically-instructive universe is the creation of an all-wise and all-powerful Creator!

But in defense of scientists, we have an enemy, who has…
“blinded the minds of them which believe not,
lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,
who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
2nd Corinthians 4:4.

Yes, 2nd Corinthians 4:4 calls him, “the god of this world”! We have all been deceived, and not just scientists!
.
And yet, the overwhelming evil which pervades this hopeless world, should make it obvious that there is a literal enemy of God, the Devil, or Satan, as he is called in the Bible!
And so, we live in a world which is a great contradiction! That is, though we see all this beauty and law & order, and poetry, and allegorical-wisdom in nature! But we also see a world filled with lost souls in rebellion against the goodness and law & order which governs the universe! And thus, mankind is confused by these two great opposing forces! Good and evil now exists together.

But the very Good News is, that the all-wise, and all-benevolent God has given us a Book which makes sense of all this very confusing world! And by reading that Book, we discover that this loving Creator has sent His only begotten Son into this lost world, that, “that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life!” John 3:16
Yes, not only has God given to us the tokens of His goodness and love, as seen in nature, but He has provided for us a way of escape from this world of sin and death! And this “Highway To Heaven”has been made possible through the atonement provided by our loving Savior, Jesus Christ!

And so, what are we waiting for? Let us each begin to climb that highway, as we become disciples and followers of Jesus!

“And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called ‘The Way of Holiness'” Isaiah 8:35
“Dear Lord, Give me the joy of knowing more about the wonders of nature. Help me to see, not only the beauty and love, and poetry of nature, and wisdom of nature, but also to realize that this universe is governed by law and order…
“Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.” Isaiah 24:23

When God created the Moon and the stars, He ordained them to “rule the night” (Gen. 1:16). The Moon, especially when it is full, can light your pathway through the night, as it reflects the light of the Sun.

So too, the Christian is to be a light to the world: to this sin-darkened world. But as the Moon must reflect the light of the Sun, in order to be a light to the world, so also must the Christian reflect the light of Jesus, to be a spiritual light to this planet in rebellion. Listen…

However, during an eclipse, the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, preventing that sunlight from shining on the Moon’s face. This is an incredible object-lesson about when the child of God allows the world to come between him and his Lord. Like the eclipse, that person no longer reflects the light of Jesus, because his or her love of this dark world of sin has eclipsed the light from the “Sun of Righteousness” (see Malachi 4:2).

And so, this is just one of the many poetic truths seen in the Moon. And this article will show some further metaphoric truths to this wonderful and mysterious object-lesson in the sky, known as the Moon. But having said all this, why would God speak about the Moon as if it were a person? And why does He say that the Moon will be confounded? How can an inanimate object be confounded (i.e., “perplexed”, “confused”, “amazed”). And why does God refer to the Moon as “her” (“the moon shall not give HER light.” Ezek. 32:7)? Such odd language! Does it seem like a lot of “confusing charts and numbers” and “this beast”and “that bug”, and this “newspaper clipping” and “Black Helicopters”, and “Secret Societies“ and “dusty old history books”?
Well, maybe some of these things are relevant, and probably most are not relevant. And well, perhaps a few of these may be helpful in understanding Revelation.

But if one simply lets Scripture define Scripture, and cling to that old mantra… “Sola Scriptura” (“Scripture Only”), Biblical truth can be arrived at, which might not be as interesting or exotic as some interpretations which the apostate church-world is coming up with.

But to simply compare Scripture with Scripture, a correct interpretation can be achieved which points to “MY” own heart, as “the chief of sinners”.

BIBLE POINTS TO JESUS & ME

Yes, correct Bible study, without the aid of other books (except, perhaps, having a concordance and/or center-column scripture-references) will direct the student right back into more Bible study, instead of into other books, or newspapers, etc….

Because, daily Bible study, properly done, will ultimately lead to “My heart” as the real problem, instead of “other groups” as the problem.
.
In other words, I know I’m on the right track if my Bible studies point the accusing finger at “My own sins”.

True religion concerns “my” relationship with God.

CHURCH HISTORY
.
And while it might be very helpful to know a little of the history of the Church, just where does a person look to find the right history book?
.
Satan has greatly confused the issue by writing conflicting histories.
.
Depending on which history book one reads, determines what the reader will find.
The problem with prophecy is, perhaps, this: all too often, many try to study prophecy for merely the intrigue of discovering future events. Such is the appeal to many who have only “itching ears”.
.
They try to divorce Bible prophecy from the very purpose for which it was given: to spiritually strengthen the Church as well as strengthen the individual Christian through increasing the knowledge of Christ and how He works in a Believer’s life.
.
But true prophecy interpretation will always have this waymark…it is always,
“profitable for… for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect,
thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
.
God is not trying to merely tickle our ears with exotic and intriguing conspiracy theories. The whole Bible is totally dedicated to transforming the Christian and the Church into the image of Christ. And Bible prophecy, if rightly interpreted, always accomplishes this same purpose.
The great problem with trying to interpret prophecy by newspapers or history books is this: you will undoubtedly only end up with some nation or battle or historical figure or literal animal or mechanical device as the ultimate interpretation.
.
But on the other hand, when one uses only the Bible, then the student will hopefully end up with a spiritual interpretation, which will reveal sin, righteousness, and judgment, which will spiritually build up that Christian.
.
Then by studying the Bible only, the student will interpret “locusts”, for instance, as God’s means of destroying the Christian’s love of earthy Mammon, instead of only seeing locusts as black helicopters, or whatever other popular notion is out there.
And so, the Christian must be prayerful and vigilant, to not allow Satan to lead us down rabbit trails, which have a form of godliness, but are mostly a great waste of our time and energy!

Listen… “See then that ye walk circumspectly,
not as fools, but as wise,
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
Ephesians 5:15, 16

Yes, we don’t want to end up like Alice here, and be led down some rabbit trail, wasting years upon some unprofitable endeavor!

Instead, we want to focus upon the eternal riches, which the Lord longs to give to each and every person who seeks with all the heart, to become changed into the image and likeness of Jesus!

Dear Lord, help me to study my Bible for the sole purpose of my own repentance and the enrichment of my own soul. Help me to see Jesus between the lines of the entire Bible. Let me get to know Thee, day-by-day…
“And there appeared a great wonder (or sign) in heaven; a woman…And there appeared another wonder (sign) in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads…And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God…And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.” Rev. 12:1, 3, 6, 15

Here is a sketch of this Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12. This is the Winter Constellations of Signs Of Heaven. Besides Orion and his Horse, we also see pictured in this sketch, the Dragon of Revelation 12.

This Revelation 12 Woman Constellation is fleeing. As you can see, the Dragon Constellation is spewing a flood of water in her direction, as is written… “And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.” Rev. 12:15.This wave of water represents Satan’s lies, and his false teachers who tell those lies.

The above verse is a plea from our Heavenly Father to look up at the Heavens and “behold Who hath created these things!” Isaiah 40:26

In this busy work-a-day world, there are many very interesting things which can occupy one’s time and energy: shopping, hobbies, and careers, and entertainments and worries, and habits, to name just a few.
.
But as the child of God devotes his or her life to God, there should be a jealous guarding of one’s own heart… “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23.
.
The Christian wants nothing to get in the way of running that Christian Race.
But having said this, there is one hobby which every ‘Noble Berean’ may take up, which only compliments the pursuit of the heavenly Prize.
.
Yes, Signs Of Heaven becomes a wonderfully rewarding hobby which, unlike many less meaningful hobbies, pays off with rich, heavenly rewards. Everlasting rewards!
.
And unlike the person in this photo with equipment, mostly all you need is fairly good vision, and a dark, starry night.
(Those living in the southernmost regions may have to use the Internet or books to see some of the most northern constellations, such as “The Revelation 12 Woman”, also known as Ursa Major.)
.
And once a person really gets to know these heavenly messengers, it will become very apparent that the message connected with these signs is truly a message to be heeded.
.
Thus, will the Christian be able to share this message with others. And there are perhaps many nuances and hidden biblical truths to these signs which have yet to be discovered.
The very first step in finding these many constellations, should be to find the two main constellations: Orion, and The 7 Stars(aka, The Big Dipper).
.
These two constellations represent Christ (Orion), and His Church(The 7 Stars).
.
And just as these two constellations are the easiest to find, so too, the first place to begin studying the Bible is the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).
.
These four books present Christ and His Church, when He walked the earth, just as Orion and the 7 Stars represent Christ and His Church, as seen up in the heavens.
.
Then, once you are comfortable finding these two constellations, you can begin to locate the next closest constellations, and so on.
Now if you’re fortunate enough to be able to go on nightly walks, and you live in an area where you can safely view the stars, here is another Heavenly Hobby which Signs Of Heaven endorses…

Why not combine starwatching with prayer, as you walk? What a great way to draw closer to God!
.
It cannot be over-stressed, just how wonderful it is to walk under the dark canopy of Heaven, while lifting up one’s heart to our Heavenly Father! There is a closeness to God that cannot be described with words!
.
(And even if you cannot safely do this, you can always do such prayer-walks in the daytime, in a safe place, such as a mall or big-box store, which is every bit as effective, prayer-wise.
.
And for those who are in confinement, one can view these starry signs on the Internet, or simply listen to Scripture on audio.
.
Either way, all such may enjoy God’s richest blessings at this very time in which God is pouring out all Heaven’s treasures upon anyone willing to forsake all, and follow Jesus!)
Now of course, the Bible commands us to, “pray without ceasing“. The Christian is to constantly talk with our Heavenly Father throughout the day.

But the Bible also holds up the godly life of Daniel, who, when captive in Babylon, still set aside three times daily, in which he knelt for special prayer.
.
And furthermore, the Bible also says… “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.” Psalm 55:17.
.
Even those who are bed-fast or in a prison cell can begin to imitate Daniel in this way. And if one is fortunate to be able to walk, then this thrice-daily prayer regimen can be combined with three walks daily and even nightly.
Dear Lord, Please put it into my heart to patiently search these things out. Give me the opened-minded spirit of those noble Bereans! Let me not get discouraged, but keep with this message until I can clearly see that Narrow Gate…
A new constellation has been revealed, as of about May 29th, 2014. This constellation appears as a snake. Its body is comprised of stars from the Bootes Constellation, and its jaws are made of the four stars which Babylonians saw as the head of Draco, the Dragon. It also has a small single star for an eye.

Now in this constellation is a group of five stars, which will be called “The Five Foolish Virgins Stars”. These are located on the opposite side of the Glorious Crown of 12 Stars, from the Five Wise Virgins Stars. But one big difference between the two is, that The Five Wise are curved around the Glorious Crown, while the Five Foolish are curved away from it!

There are many who come into Christianity, thinking that God brought them in, so that He could use their talents in some way. Some have musical talents. Others have marketing skills. Still others are great communicators, or perhaps great organizers.
.
And so, these come into Christianity thinking that they are going to be “Movers & Shakers for God”.
.
Perhaps it could be said that they have a “Rosie The Riveter” mentality. You know, they have a “We Can Do It!” philosophy…like Rosie here, flexing her arm in all of her self-confidence.
Yes, many come into Christianity thinking that God brought them in, so that He could use their talents in some way.
.
But where did this term “talent” come from anyway? It certainly is a popular phrase!
.
Well it originated, like so many other terms, from the Bible. Yes, if one goes to the Parable of the Talents, this word has its origin.
.
Listen…“For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country,
who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one;
to every man according to his several ability;
and straightway took his journey…”
Matthew 25:14, 15.
.
A talent was a piece of money, in the ancient cultures. And thus, in this parable, each person received a certain amount of money, and each began to invest that money (talents).
The point to this article for November 6th is just this: many people get the mistaken notion that on Judgment Day, they will be judged according to how they used their “talents”, in the modern sense of the word, “talent”.

But more often than not, the worldly “talents” we bring into Christianity have been greatly marred by sin.

In other words, quite often our music has a worldly twang to it.

Quite often, our business “talents” have a harsh edge.
.
And all too often, our organizational “talents” frequently depend on using strong-arm, manipulative tactics.
.
God is not desiring these kinds of worldly ways.

ACRONYMS, SHARP-DEALERS, AND SENSUAL CROONERS

The fact is, God desires purity, and gentleness, and generosity, and exact honesty, even to a fault. Listen to James…
“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure,
then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated,
full of mercy and good fruits,
without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace
of them that make peace.”
James 3:17, 18.

Yes, God’s ways are vastly different from man’s ways. And true Christianity has a pure, gentle, heavenly, peaceful aura about it. God has no use for harsh and worldly-tainted business tactics. He has no need for worldly-wise acronyms in the Church. He has no stomach for the sensual crooning, so often heard in the today’s music. God’s ways are the ways of love and holiness and purity. Heaven operates on eternal principles; not by fad, fashion, or whimsy, as does the world, so often!
But there is a much greater meaning to using our talents (money). Listen to the words of the wise man, Solomon…“A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:” Proverbs 1:5.
.
Now here, Solomon was laying down a great fundamental principle, namely this: the Bible is a vast treasure-trove of knowledge and wisdom. God has given this Book to humanity, so that anyone who will, may come and drink of its vast stores of heavenly living waters.
.
And listen to what God has to say about knowledge and wisdom…
“Acquaint now thyself with Him (the Lord)…
Receive, I pray thee, the law from His mouth,
and lay up His words in your heart…
Then shall you lay up gold as dust,
and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks…
and you shall have plenty of silver.”
Job 22:21, 22, 24, 25
.
Oh, so that’s how I can increase my talents, my spiritual riches, by laying up His Words in my heart (the heart being the treasure-chest of my mind)!

OR YOU CAN HIDE YOUR TALENT
.
Yes, we can trade our talent of time and grace, spending them on the true riches of knowledge, faith, and wisdom found in God’s Word.
.
On the other hand, a man may choose to do what that one man did, in that parable:
“Then he which had received the one talent came
and said, ‘Lord, And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth:
lo, there you have what is yours.’
His lord answered and said unto him,
‘Thou wicked and slothful servant…
cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'”
Matthew 25:24, 26, 30.
.
So those who are wise will use their time prudently, and begin to fill their heart, the treasure chest of their mind, with the wisdom and knowledge of God. And in that way, they can transform their mind into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
.
There are many who come into Christianity, spending their precious time in some socialistic ministry for others, to the neglect of their own soul. These have mistakenly thought that because of their great humanitarian efforts, that somehow this excused them from the battle to overcome “self”.
Today’s church-world has been filling up with worldly-wisemen, who have greatly turned the churches and denominations into worldly institutions, using worldly tactics, world-loving programs, and man-contrived business strategies, instead of holding fast to the purity of the early church as its role-model. Thus, the churches have become an integral part of this Babylonish world.
It would be best for all such to put aside that ministry, or that earthly talent, and rather, use their time, reading their Bible and praying for God to bring them the experiences needful to purify their hearts and renew their minds.

Then, when a man, woman or child has finally put off the “old man”, and has put on the “new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness”: then can that fully converted Christian use his or her God-given gifts in a right manner: in the spirit of true meekness, purity, and holiness.
.
Then, instead of sounding like a dreamy-eyed crooner, that fully-converted singer will now sound like a holy angel in God’s choir.
.
Then instead of cutting sharp deals, that fully converted businessman will now exercise grace, mercy, and generosity, sometimes even to the point of being accused of becoming too naïve.
.
Then will that great communicator and organizer now exercise the quietness, the meekness and the self-distrust of, say, a man like Moses (whom God chastened 40 years till he was transformed from being the proudest of all men to becoming the meekest of all men).
.
Just look up at this picture of proud Rosie, showing off her muscles. And then examine this picture of meek Moses, helplessly lifting his hands up to God to give his people victory. Whose attributes would you rather have?
This sign is about the Big Dipper, also called the Great Bear constellation (Ursa Major ). However, the ancient pagan cultures did not see this constellation as God intended it to be seen. It is actually a headless woman in childbirth. This is seen in springtime. It is seen in the northern skies.

Yes, it’s an “I Can Do It!” world!
.
But just look around at this world! Just look at TV for instance. What do you see all over the television? Do you see the hero of the story, waiting on God for help? Of course not! The hero of the story solves the big problem by his own (or her own) “brain or by brawn”. Correct? Try to think of one TV show, in which the hero allows God to solve the big problem. Even the TV series with a religious bent usually has the Christian character solving the big problem by human effort.

And have you ever noticed that the secular shows, more often than not, portray very dedicated Christians as “weak little birds”, and at last are saved by the big strong secular hero of the story.

EVE, THE ORIGINAL ROSIE

Yes, it’s a Rosie the Riveter world. And it’s been that way for a very long time!
.
Even in the Garden, when the Tempter tempted the woman, it was over the issue of her wanting to be like God. She didn’t want to trust in God. She wanted to do things under her own strength and intellect.
.
Yes, in a very real sense, Eve was the very first Rosie the Riveter!
OUR HEAVENLY FATHER ALLOWED US TO “DO IT OURSELVES”
.
And all God originally wanted, was for mankind to enjoy peace and rest and happiness.
.
But when mankind left God’s Rest, and wanted to have a “We Can Do It!” world, God in His infinite wisdom decided to allow us to become that kind of a world!
But one caution. If a person decides to come back to God’s Everlasting Rest, just don’t try to bring that “We Can Do It” philosophy into God’s Rest. It won’t work. No, the Christian must totally re-learn a completely brand-new way of doing things.

Listen to the Sweet Psalmist of Israel…
“LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty:
neither do I exercise myself in great matters,
or in things too high for me.
Surely I have behaved and quieted myself,
as a childthat is weaned of his mother:
my soul is even as a weaned child.”
Psalm 131:1, 2.

David was king of Israel, and yet he knew how to let God be the One to rule, placing his trust fully in the Lord.
And yes, as the Christian learns more and more about the Bible, he or she will learn to put greater and greater trust in the Lord, to solve the many problems of life.
.
And this verse will take on a greater and greater meaning to that Christian… “Be still, and know that I am God:” Psalm 46:10.
.
And once that Christian finally puts full trust in God, there will be a peace which surpasses all human understanding, which this “Rosie The Riveter” world cannot know nor understand.
Lord, help me to depend upon the exceeding great and precious promises found throughout Your infallible Word, rather than upon my own strength or human wisdom…

Counting the Sun as the 1st heavenly sphere, the Earth is the 4th heavenly sphere. If we extend our theory (and it’s just a theory) that God created our solar system to correspond to the commandments, then planet Earth would correspond to the 4th Commandment.

And so, on the very planet that corresponds to the commandment that exalts the idea of “rest” and “peace”, there exists very little peace. And very little rest. Ironic, isn’t it?
