Martha is your typical housewife.

.

And her average day is filled many duties, as well as many unexpected interruptions!

.

Beside a long list of scheduled duties, there are other unexpected things: things such as children fighting, people calling, surprisingly high utility bills, and well, a somewhat-less-than-blissful-marriage.

.

Now sometimes Martha becomes so overwhelmed with her daily balancing of these many duties and interruptions, that she might be found in tears, complaining to God about, “Why are you letting all this happen to me!?”

BUSY WORK-A-DAY WORLD!

.

And no doubt, most Christians can relate to what Martha goes through!

.

Yes, in this busy, busy work-a-day world, it is easy to get overwhelmed by our whirlwind of daily activities!

.

It is easy to lose our temper with our spouse and children!

.

It is even tempting to blame God for what is happening!

.

IN EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS!

.

Just listen to the Apostle, Paul… “And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2nd Corinthians 12:9, 10

.

Now Paul here says that he actually takes pleasure in, “infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses”!

.

What an incredible statement by Paul, wouldn’t you say?

ALL THINGS FOR OUR GOOD!

.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

.

But Paul realized that God was allowing all those seemingly bad circumstances to come upon him, so as to train himself to trust in Christ, and not trust in his own strength!

.

And thus also, it is with us! Every single thing which comes upon the Christian has been allowed by God! Yes, even that annoying phone call! And even those bickering children! And even that unloving spouse!

.

All things, both good and bad are being allowed in our life, for the purpose of strengthening us and our faith!

Some distressing situations will teach us to trust God more; that He will make things alright in the end!

Those annoying phone calls are given us, to train us to become more patient, as we handle those people in a Christlike manner!

And that often unloving, sometimes angry spouse was given to us, to drive us to our spiritual knees, pleading with God to save that spouse; to transform that spouse into a loving and gentle soul!

And those unruly children were given to help us to desire and yearn for their Salvation!

And these unconverted children cause us to become more serious about our own Salvation, that God may hear our tear-filled prayers for them!

And that cashier who just gave back too much change, was for the purpose of teaching us to be strictly honest, as we joyfully return the extra change back to her (leaving an excellent Christian witness)!

And yes, even that annoyingly sluggish computer will cause our patience to grow, if we let it!

 And as we look out upon the increasingly hopeless situation in the world, God is wanting us to place NO TRUST in Mankind to solve the problems of the world!

And so, even world events are partially designed to cause our trust in God to grow!

THIS WORLD: OUR TRAINING GROUND!

.

And so, in this respect, we must give thanks to God for all things which come our way!

.

Yes, to realize that our entire life is God’s training ground, to help us become more and more like Christ! These things, both good and bad, are God’s chosen means of transforming us into the image of Christ!

.

And let’s not forget that God is very tender and pitying! And He will not bring upon us more than we can handle! And He will give us times of rest and refreshing, to strengthen and encourage us to continue on in our Heavenward sojourn! 

.

GRASPING FOR SCEPTER AND A CROWN…

.

This page however just deals with the Woman travailing in child-birth. When she is in labor, she appears to reach out her hand southward to grasp a The Cross/Scepter, which is coming from the South, out of an ark-like box. There also is a Crown of 12 Stars (13 counting a star in the center). But the Crown (the Corona Borealis Constellation) is not yet on her head. The crown is to the south of her. So she is grasping for the Cross/Scepter. She doesn’t yet wear the crown. This reminds us of that well-known passage in Philippians which states…

.

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Phil.3:13, 14

.

And also another verse of the apostle Paul… “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:8. So this woman with child is grasping, either for that Cross/Scepter, or perhaps that crown, or both. This is such an incredible scenario in the heavens! But this is a very complex concept. Because this headless woman-with-child, which turns upside down in winter to become the “Fleeing Woman of Revelation 12”; and combine this with that Crown and that Cross/Scepter, of which she appears to be grasping for in summer, and these various aspects present a great portion of what the Bible is about.
